Difficult post sale experience

??W?e? purchased an F-150 from Absolute Auto? (AA)? ?6/2018. The buying process was pleasant, ?on arrival we wer?e n?ot bombarded? rather free to explore & told to ask for help if ?needed. We were ?even able to take our favorite to a mechanic for review. We concluded on ?an F150 ??& the purchase went smoothly. If you do?n'?t care to read ?the ?details of our disappointing post-sale experience-the synopsis is do NOT agree to work being done to your vehicle post purchase. They will NOT call you back (even if they promise they will)?, they will NOT email you back (even when they ?verbally ?confirm they are receiving ?your emails?)?, th?ey will tell you they have? done things they have not, etc. ? In order not to defame anyone, I ?chose not? to? include names? my review. If A?A chooses to contest the information, I will then be happy to provide names, dates, email threads, text?s ?& call records. ? Our contract read the front windshield be replaced, the back shield weather stripping be replaced ?& a missing cup holder be replaced. We purchased the vehicle on a Fri?.? ?& were promised the ?truck would be ready for pick u?p on ?Mon?.? (3 days later - which I thought was a bit fast so inquired about the turn around ?- I ?was assured "it's no problem-I've got a guy, it will be done??")*Please note-we live in Chattanooga, TN? so made a special trip to Murfreesboro? (M'boro)? to initially look at the vehicle ?&would be returning the following Mon?.? for pick up of the truck* Mon?.? arrives ?& we find the truck NOT ready for pick up. -Why did they not give us a simple call Monday morning letting us know the truck would not be ready? My husband opted to take the truck back to Chattanooga with him (without the problems addressed) as we paid cash for the truck and we needed a vehicle to drive. The best customer service practice would have been to offer gas compensation for ?our? return to M?'bor?o the following Fri. However, I was told "we're in the car business not the gas business" After a week of back ?& forth we were told we would be compensated for gas ?& it would come out of the salesman's paycheck(?as he promised us the ?work would be done?) When I called to confirm time/date for drop off?, ?I was told th?at in fact they ?would NOT be compensating us for gas ?& I should gather proposals from a mechanic in Chattanooga to? complete the repairs. I used a day off of work to ?o?btain quotes from multiple locations. After ?submitting quotes ?to A?A ?they said ???there was no way they were going to pay ?those prices ????NOR were they going to compensate us in ANY way for us to drive back to M?'boro for them to complete the work.? ?After much back ?& forth we agreed that A?A ?would mail the cup-holder& a check for $350 (to complete the work in Chattanooga (?note ?$350 was not enough to cover all expenses but we were ready to be done with the situation) From purchase, the issue was not resolved for TWO months. I was passed between employees, all of them telling me different things, I was contacted once by their office during the entire debacle- after having? ?let them know my lawyer would be in touch. I am by no means an "I'll call my lawyer" type of person but please note -we purchased the vehicle 6/23, they cashed our ??check 6/26, on 7/27 I was told our compensation check had been mailed ?& the cup-holder would be mailed separately?- o?n 8/1 nothing had arrived via USPS so I again called to follow up ?& was told the cup-holder ?&the check?? would be placed in the mail that day....on 8/8 ?nothing had arrived. During the ?1 call I received from ?AA?, the manager admitted the cup-holder was never mailed b?/c? they never even had it! He also stated he?? never agreed to the $350 + cup-holder (?an alternative employee ?promised ?the ?arrangement? ?had ?been??? approved by the manager) He concluded our conversation by saying he would send a check for $350 ?& I could find a cup-holder on ?E?-bay. ??I would not trust these individuals again.

I would not recommend this dealer.

By far the best car buying experience I've ever had! Jamie and Jim really made the process as stress free as possible. Sami sealed the deal with a handshake and the upmost professionalism. If I need another car, I know exactly where to go!

I would recommend this dealer.
