Out of sight is out of mind

I've been to this dealer for service many times before and switched to it from the other option in lower Westchester where I'd purchased the car, and where the service itself was substandard (the other place was very cramped, and they actually damaged the body on the brand new car and they always close early!) I made an appointment this go round two weeks out, which was the first available date for a B1 service. For the first time ever, since I had an early meeting in the city, I opted to do the early drop off. That was the mistake. I dropped the car at 7 a.m. and hustled to catch the 7:19 at Larchmont. The valet had just arrived and was setting up, and he took my key. Well guess what, no one even looked at my car, nor had it even been logged in, until I called to check on it at 3 p.m. They had to go and find it at that point. So now they took a look and now the car needs a routine diagnostic (for which I will be charged with no give back when I opt for additional service...what ever happened to "we charge for the diagnostic but that comes back to you when you do the service here"?) which cannot be done until tomorrow because the technicians have gone home for the day. Now I'm scrambling to adjust my schedule tomorrow to accommodate for work plans without the car. I didn't sense any sympathy. The service quality here in the past was fine in my experience. I'd worked with Vanessa in the past but the reservation for service this time was assigned to someone named Jose Sabala. Honestly, I don't need a "personal" account rep. I just wanted the car serviced within a day. I shouldn't have to babysit a car dealership's service team and call to be sure they had the car and were going to service it. I had an appointment that I'd confirmed and I gave the key to a member of the service team. The oversight is on them and they should make it up. I've had much better luck when I take a day off from work and wait for service. Unfortunately, the waiting area isn't really optimal for doing work, so I kind of feel like I need to burn a vacation day--but really, should that be necessary? And the other downside to waiting is that they make note that you are waiting and start sending texts inviting you upstairs to the showroom to look at new cars. Don't do the unattended early drop off, just don't. And if you leave the car, even for a full 12-hours, set your calendar to remind you to call them about an hour after you drop off to be sure they're looking at your car. Out of sight is out of mind!

Excellent! Best Acura Dealer All Around

Beth Hicks was my service person today and most times when I come in for service She was excellent, very friendly and helpful and really cared about my needs and my situation. I travel an hour to bring my car there because they are the best. The sales team and service are excellent. I always feel like a valued car owner. I have been to closer dealers but I have had horrible experiences. Thank you Beth and everyone in service for treating me the best!

Amazing Service

Aleksander was amazing! He was straight forward but also personable, making us feel comfortable. He was knowledgeable about the models and current promotions and worked with us to get us the best deal. Aleksander and the staff were very accommodating considering we went in near closing time with our two small children. The process was smooth and easy and I am very happy with my new car!

I cannot recommend Brianna enough- we are now in our third Acura lease and I wouldn't dream of ever going elsewhere. Brianna makes the whole experience so seamless and easy- she knows her stuff and is so incredibly easy to deal with and works to make sure you leave incredibly happy, and we always are! I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere and knowing she will always help us out gives us piece of mind that we are dealing with the right dealer and salesperson. She really is amazing at making customers really satisfied!

Straight Foward Painless Transition

I had a funny experience with them 4 years ago and i was turned down on my previous ILX. It turns out i explained this story to Julian and he said this time i would be taken care of ! Julian was very informative and to the point , with my decision from leaving my other Acura dealership. He was very patient with me and my husbands choice he has all the calculations in his head , which my husband loved! He made this process painless us in choosing a bigger car too TLX!! I highly would recommend to all my friends and family if they are interested in ACURA to come see Julian only!!

They routinely overbook.

They'll service your car IF you can get it in. They routinely overbook; it's ridiculous. I had to reschedule my appointment 3 times before they took my car, and the service person was very apologetic that they overbooked..three days in a row! Yeah, you can leave your car, don't know when we'll get to it, and uh, no loaner available... no thank you. Just tell me when you have time to work on my car. I'll wait. It was very disorganized too. Months later, my husband made an appointment through their website with a loaner for his car to be serviced and had to wait three weeks to get an appointment with a loaner, which he was willing to do. They called him the DAY BEFORE the appointment to tell him they didn't have a loaner for him despite having a loaner confirmed by email. The service department just doesn't function correctly. They can't book so many clients for the same day. Very frustrating and it leaves a bad taste. Thinking about going to Curry for service. Maybe they actually get clients in when they say they will. Acura of Westchester never used to be like this, and we've been going there for over 15 years.

Bought New Acura and Traded In an Acura

I recently purchased a brand new 2019 Acura RDX Advance and traded in a 2010 Acura MDX Tech/Entertainment. After shopping around, I ended up going to Acura of Westchester for the first time and had a pleasant experience working with Brianna Tozzo and Frankie Ferraro. They explained, in detail, the breakdown for the total cost of the vehicle, including about ten accessories. Brianna worked on accessory pricing with the parts department to see what they can do in terms of discounts. I would recommend this dealership to whomever is looking for a new or pre-owned Acura.
