STAY AWAY ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A FEMALE

By bfree15 on 4/24/2019 at 11:23 PM. Helped by Rick Solomon, Steve Thomas.

It is funny how when the lady at service asks you if you were 100% satisfied with your service and then you say no not at all, I am actually never coming back here again because of it, she does not ask why or anything she just makes sure she does not hand you a survey paper slip but what is funny is how I can get on here and still write my review. So here it goes. First of all, I bought my truck brand new, always turn it it for recalls, oil changes, and anything covered under warranty issues to be fixed. Well, for the second time I had to turn my truck in for loose break light covers on both tailgate lights. First time I turned it in, they said no problem, one is loose and the other one actually has a broken clip, so they replaced it. Second time, both break light covers are loose again but this time they said that I broke them that I went somehow into my break light and over tightened them and also that the top third break light that is on top of my truck on a roll bar is why my two side break lights were broken and it would $100 to fix each one so a total of $200. Second of all, how in the world would a third top of truck break light have anything to do with my two side break lights? Third of all, the ford service crew were the last people to ever put their hands on my break lights, so they are the ones who over tightened the lights which caused them to break and need to be replaced as it was still under warranty. There is only 15,000 miles on my truck and I have had it since December 17th 2017. They claimed that also a tailgate light bar on the bottom of the tailgate is also the reason why the side break light covers are loose, well I informed them that the light bar is currently unattached to any wires and it has been like that for over a year now and of course that would have nothing to do with my break light covers. It is just sickening to think that they can take advantage of me as a female, put words in my mouth, assume things that I somehow did, which I have no clue how to even open those light covers and also how they ended up fixing for free anyways. They never called me or spoke to me in person to apologize to me or anything. The people involved here are Rick Solomon and Steve Thomas the Service Manager and also the lady at the service desk that hands you your keys. This service is unacceptable because if I did not fight for what was right I would have been out of $200 for a mistake that the ford service crew made on my brand new truck. Steve and Rick both told me that someone needs to pay for broke items and ford will not send us a refund for it, well first of all, your ford service crew is what caused the parts to break and second of all, I paid over $41,000 for this truck, I am pretty sure I gave you guys enough money to afford to fix my light covers that you originally broke. This is absolutely a scam, I will never be back to this dealership for anything (and that is a shame because I love F-150's so much that I would have definitely bought another one from you guys but not anymore). I will also make sure that anyone I come across that ask me about my truck I will make sure I inform them about where not to buy one or get service and that is at Al Packer West. I am disgusted by how I was treated when also all of the service and sales guys know how much I take care of my truck, why in the world would I deliberately break my light covers?

I would not recommend this dealer.

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER

By JeremyB on 2/26/2019 at 7:02 PM. Helped by Tony Jahnke.

Bought a brand new mustang in 2019, since when i got the car, the car had paint problem, brought it back, dealer had it for 3 weeks, they took it to a backyard paint shop since the paint job is horrible. i emailed the dealership about it and they have been ignoring me. The car looks like a 10 year old car. They dont return my emails or calls and when i go to the dealership, everyone has an attitude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP - AL PACKER FORD IN WPB - The one in military

Check your Oil

By Driggerfish1 on 12/3/2018 at 9:31 PM. Helped by James.

I took my 2018 Mustang GT I purchased at the Royal Palm Beach Al Packer into the Military Trail Quick Lane for the the first oil change. James fit me in late on a Saturday, they washed my car and the oil change was complimentary, I was initially happy with my service experience. I checked the oil level when I got home and it was barely showing on the tip of the dipstick. I checked the service paperwork and they listed it as a 6 qt. oil change. I put two quarts in and it came up to the hash marks between the two holes. I traded in a 2014 GT with 32,000 miles for this one after that engine was replaced with a re-manufactured service engine under the 60k powertrain warranty after knock was diagnosed and two bad rod bearings found with metal in filter and pan. I can better explain how that might have happened with a stock tune and rev. limit now I see the dealer will send them out low on oil. Gen. 1,2 and 3 5.0 liter Mustang V8's have always had a 8 to 8 1/2 quart oil capacity. You take your vehicle to the dealer so this does not happen and still it does. So better check your oil level. 4200 miles and already listening for a knock in this engine thanks to Al packer West Palm Quick Lane.

Lies to get money down!!!

By Lexx on 10/22/2018 at 6:34 PM. Helped by Ed Okin and James.

So basically this dealership is so unprofessional it is not even funny. The salesman Ed Okin is arguing with me over texts, seriously? He called and lied saying I was approved but I need $3,000 down. I had offered to put $1,000 down so I told him your website was giving me $35-$40k for my trade and you only gave me $34,500 so you can give me at least $35,500 which is a thousand more than the minimum on your website and I also found your car advertised on autotrader for $2,000 less than what you are selling me for that is a $3,000 dollar swing right there or if you sell me at the advertised price you won't need $2k more down. You cannot believe what this dude told me. He said Ford Motor Credit is giving me a 2.9% APR but he has to sell it at the higher price if he sells me at the lower price Ford Motor Credit would raise the interest rate to 6.9% xxx? SERIOUSLY? where did he get this info. Ford Credit doesn't change the rates you do because you want your dealership to make a certain amount in the finance does he think he is speaking to an idiot? Well all I can say is STAY AWAY FROM AL PACKER FORD OR YOU TOO WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!! Horrible experience!!!!

Gary Weil "General Manager" is unprofessional!

By jacevedosoto on 6/19/2017 at 7:31 PM. Helped by Gary Weil.

Gary Weil is an unprofessional "General Manager." This guy is a joke. Very rude to customers! I was bringing in my wife's car for service and was told by the service manager to park the vehicle behind their building. I told the tower to go ahead and park the car behind the building. Gary Weil "General Manager" was driving by in his golf cart and told us "You are not f*xxxxx parking here." I tried explaining to him that I was told by the service manager to park the car behind the building and he just grew madder and madder with no reason. He told me to "get the f*xx out of his lot, take it to another dealership, I don't f*xxxxx want the car here, etc." I have filed a complaint to corporate about Gary Weil.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Ford tough

By Wjohn0048 on 6/9/2016 at 3:48 AM. Helped by Bill Curtin And James.

I recently visited Al Packer Ford for a new Explorer. My sales person Bill Curtin was patient, answered all our question and most of all valued our time. Bill completed our paper work and had us on the road in 2 hours. Our finance manager James was great no hard sell. We love our new Ford Explorer thanks Bill and James for making it happen.

An Awful Experience

By ronprosky on 6/8/2016 at 1:20 PM.

Just awful...I made a service appointment online for my stunning awesome 2016 Mustang GT Cal Spcl. I showed up ready to spend 80 bucks on a synthetic oil change (probably 30 bucks cheaper at Jiffy) and they treated me like absolute crap. They didn't even acknowledge my online appointment and clearly couldn't care less about my business. Then they tell me to go to this beat-up shack called Fast Lane, which is where they do their oil changes, and the guy at the counter said they don't accept appointments and I'll just have to wait...not even a "hello" or "sorry for our misleading website" or anything remotely polite or acknowledging of my frustration. So finally I went to the service mgr and let him know about this awful experience and he basically offered no remedy or anything other than a blanket sorry. This is why people DON'T do oil changes at dealerships, because what would otherwise be a 20-minute ordeal at some corner lube store turns into a 3-hour escapade filled with frustration.

I would not recommend this dealer.

DO NOT USE AL PACKER AVOID

By jps92774 on 6/5/2014 at 6:16 PM. Helped by shorty pena.

Brought new vehicle in under warranty on holiday week. Told to come back following monday for full week. Did so first thing and vehicle sat anyway and still has not been touched more than four days later, meaning they lied about short week. No contact from them still. Brand new vehicle fully covered, so they say, but warranty doesnt do much good if the dealer wont perform obligations.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Horrible customer service, wrong tires

By flfilter on 5/15/2014 at 10:41 PM. Helped by Shorty, james and Steve.

After getting a verbal quote over the phone with a service advisor for my 2500 series 4 door truck i made a appt for 4 new tires.I even gave them the exact tire size and the truck use. Well after 4 days of trying to get an appt my hubby finally demanded to talk to someone and we got appt. Dropped off a Saturday morning and no one called us at the close of the work day so my hubby had to call them repeatedly for 45 mins to finally get a hold of someone and then we were told that the truck was ready. Monday, when we use the truck for our business, we learned that the dealership but passenger tires on the truck. On a 2500 series with a trailer hitch and 2 ladders on top they put passenger tires on the truck. My hubby has to come back to show the techs how to take down the spare tries rod after explaining over the phone where it was. They couldn't figure it out. So i have to go out of my way to get the truck back of them - while 9 mo pregnant and my hubby was traveling for our business. After seeing that i was upset the service adviser bumped up to steve the manager. he accepted responsibility and apologized. I thought it was going to be resolved like steve mentioned. He said there was no excuse and said that he would make it better and i would be satisfied. Well now it wasnt. They charged me $80 for the correct tires- that they installed and quoted wrong, never called me that the truck was ready- i gave them my personal cell number and explained that my hubby was out of town and that i was going to get it picked up. well they never called. when i show up James acts like he has no idea what is going but yet he was there the whole time. the service advisor was no where to be seen. as they frantically look for the keys to my truck steve the manager walks up smoking a cigarette (im obviously pregnant and we spoke about me being pregnant that morning) shaking his head and all he can say before walking away is that he is embarrassed. I ask him so I'm still being charged after everything they had screwed up and he just walks away. They are unprofessional, dont know crap about working on vehicles, horrible customer service and take no responsibility for their mistakes. They had mutiple opportunities to make this right and yet they didnt even try or act like they cared. basically i was blamed by the service adiviosr.

By wwalkergt on 7/22/2011 at 5:56 PM. Helped by Service manager.

I had my car serviced under warranty. The service department put my car on a lift that was not made for the car. The car sits very low. It car from the factory like that. It is a mustang Sherrod edition. When they put my car on the wrong kind of lift, it cracked the side moldings. When I brought it to threr attention they had their stories mixed up. In other words they wre not truthful and said the damage was not done there. I would not recommend this dealership to my dog! Thank You Willie Walker.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GET BODYWORK DONE...

By castanedan08 on 7/22/2011 at 4:32 PM. Helped by Melanie Allstate Adjuster.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GET BODYWORK DONE (it's long but worth the read)...My 2011 Honda Civic EX-L ( only had it 3 months) rear bumper/trunk was damaged in a car accident. Allstate recommended this dealer because they had a on-site adjuster so the work will be done quicker. We dropped it off after a very rude phone call from the Melanie saying we could drop if off. She told me it would be a few days without having to replace the bumper. When I went to pick it up I noticed a scratch on the passenger side of the vehicle, and that the bumper was put on crooked. So I left it there and went into a second rental. The second time I came to pick it up there was a white thumb and finger paint mark on my driver's side door handle that would not come off, the scratch on the side had become bigger and the bumper had a SCREW that was coming out of it, again still crooked. Also when they "hand washed" our car they left buffing scratch marks EVERYWHERE on the trunk and bumper. On our third time picking up the car there were still buff scratches that went into the paint, but we took it and called Allstate. After we left we noticed the lock mechanism on the inside of the driver's door was broken. When we took it to Ed Morse Collision Center they told us the mechanic BROKE some rods inside the door panel and tried to cover it up. Ed morse corrected all if their mistakes in 4 days, as opposed to Al Packard that took three weeks. DO NOT GO TO THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR VEHICLE!

I would not recommend this dealer.
