Pleasant and efficient

We were warmly welcomed and told our truck would be given attention as soon as possible. We were in the waiting area for a very brief period. The shop manager handed us the keys with a smile. Great people at Mike Maroone South!

You'll have to scroll through to get to the "real" reviews as they buy 5 star reviews. This dealership is literally the worst! They've been jacking us around for an entire week on a Camaro. False promises when we were on their lot last Saturday and then when it actually comes down to doing the deal, they say "oh...we can't do THAT". What a bunch of clowns these guys are! Just be honest and say you can't do it, don't string people along.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Timely and very professional service. Change of management has made a huge difference! Truck was promptly taken in and they even gave me a free car wash based on my experience with previous ownership.

Always well informed during any service process and estimate is always equal or less than discussed. Doug Miller is very good and has extensive knowledge from being a former tech. Wish I could buy a new truck but they've kept my 2009 Silverado going through the years..

The Reason Vehicle Dealers Have a Bad Reputation

Horrible! This dealer is the epitome of what sorry, ruthless, non-integrity dealerships are about. Had the deal done for an "out the door total price" taxes included on a used vehicle over the phone, after the typical back and forth that is so stupid to begin with. Told them I would bring a check and pick it up. After an hour of signing stuff, had to go to finance to do all the rest of the paperwork. I wasn't financing the vehicle...paying cash. After another 30 minute wait to get into the office and another 30 minutes of signing all the crap the lady tells me that I would be responsible for the county tax fee. I said no, that's not the deal we made - I have an out the door price that was agreed upon, taxes included. She says let me go get the salesman. He comes in and says no we can't do that, and has the audacity to tell me the "typical" poor us dealership story of we are only making $150 on this vehicle, I can show you the paperwork. Uh huh...tell that to someone who'll believe it because I don't, I'm sure you can show me some false paperwork like all the rest. Typical scummy car dealership xxxxx that may work on some poor unsuspecting individuals. After about 3 minutes of him telling me how they weren't making any money and they had to replace the windshield, because it was broke, that they wouldn't be making any money and then another 1 minute of pure silence I picked up my checkbook and said that's fine sell it to someone else. The finance lady was looking in the window at this behind me...as soon as I stood up she rushes in there and says, I just spoke to my supervisor he said we can do the deal. I said if it can get done in the next 5 minutes and I can leave let's do it. After another 20 minutes of waiting for the salesman to go put gas in it, of which he put in about 2 gallons, enough to get me back across the road to the station to fill it up so I could drive home - he is putting the temp tag on the vehicle and apologizes to me, saying yeah I went back and looked at our texts and you were right on the price with taxes included. I said, that xxxx ain't cool...this is why you guys have a bad rep, where is the integrity and you doing what you said you'd do without trying to squeeze another couple hundred bucks out of people. He said, that's why I'm apologizing. I said, you knew the deal, you were trying to squeeze more out of me and it's not cool. Getting the windshield fixed was another debacle. The salesman put another salesman in charge of getting it lined up. I called and left messages with both of them, the general manager, the finance person, a service person and several others and never received a return phone call...from anyone. You can not get a hold of anyone in that place, unless you are buying...not after you already bought. Texted the original salesman and he said the other salesman is a slacker, that's why you haven't heard from him. I said well you have 30 days from when it was sold, he said oh it'll be done way before then. When their 30 day limit was on the last technical day I texted the original salesman to see if it was going to get handled and he eventually got it lined up. As a customer, who the xxxx wants to do business this way? Not me, I will never return.

Great job

The insurance co. was slow but the body shop did the job very guickly and looked great. Nick and Lisa dealt with the insurance company to get extra repair work done that was not on the origional estimate.

Poor Experience

I recently purchased a 2001 Chevy Tahoe from their used lot. I understand the concept of as is no warranty however I expect some degree of check over before they sell it. I have had it less than a month and I already am having issues with the ABS control module and need a new battery. To top it off when I bought it I was promised a full detail an a full tank of gas the following Saturday, when I brought it in for that the had to delay it a week. I brought it in the following week and left it for the detail, after 6 hours I went back to check on it not having received a call telling me it was done, and the sales person that had taken it in so that it could be detailed had left taking my keys with me. I had to wait until Monday to get it back. When I did get back they had taken my floor mats and had lost an after market fish eye mirror that I had put on. I did end up getting the full tank of gas though.

I would not recommend this dealer.

2017 chevy cruze hatchback

Everything at the dealership was awesome. Except the finance guy didn't have a clue about paperwork and couldn't answer a single question I had. Seems like a good guy but definitely needs a lot of training. I literally thought about walking out without buying my car cause he was so lost. I would not put him with another customer until he gets some training especially on leases.

It was a great experience dealing with Joani Pierce!!

I had a particular pickup in mind and I found it at Maroone Chevrolet. Joani emailed back very promptly and we started conversing back and forth right away. I was rather reluctant that Joani and I could come to a trade without her seeing my trade in person since I live nearly 400 miles away. When I told Joani what I needed for my pickup, she made it happen. I have to say it was the Easiest Trade I have made in my 30 years of Car buying. The whole staff was great, from Tony showing me all of the accessories, to Jem in the Orange Torture Cube, to Mike in Service. I can truly say it was the most pleasurable trade experience that I have ever had.

Excellent Service!

I was traveling through the area on vacation when the driver's side window of my Chevrolet Equinox would not roll back up. The thought of driving home (over 800 miles!) with the window down two days later was not appealing! The service department got my car right in and repaired the issue in plenty of time to make it home from vacation in time. Professional and friendly staff and Damien was particularly helpful getting us checked-in and on our way. After stopping into another Chevrolet dealer in the area with out getting any help, I was surprised and delighted to find such exceptional and friendly help waiting for me at Mike Maroone South. Agreed on a price for the truck - agreed on a price for the trade in. Should be that simple. Nope not here - keep an eye on them! "Added profit to the dealer" "aftermarkets" etc!!!

Original GM Parts

My interface with this dealership is in service. They told me they would not warranty original GM parts unless I bought it from them. They wanted $300 for a part that cost $100. Pretty sad when a Chevrolet Dealer doesn't warranty original GM parts still in the sealed box. Too bad as Al Serra would have warrantied the part.

Vehicle was in for damage estimate from accident.

Vehicle was brought in for damage estimate related to accident. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Estimate was done quickly and vehicle was totaled and insurance paid for full replacement due to that estimate. The rest of the procedure to salvage the vehicle was a painless process as well. Completely satisfied.

Disappointed

I made an appointment for an oil change last week. It took over an hour and a half for an oil change...it wasn't crowded when I got there. The service rep said I came at a good time since there were no cars ahead of me. This is my second time getting an oil change at this location. The first time I had an oil change about a month or so ago, I was in and out within an hour. This time, not the case. When I got my car back, driver seat was reclined all the way back!! How tacky and unprofessional to do this to my seat! Very disappointed.

This is the third vehicle I have bought from Al Serra South. I always get a great deal on the new vehicle and on my trade in. There are no hassles, I tell the salesman what I want and he handles everything for me. They don't try to sell me anything else. The experience is great and quick.
