Never ending mess wish it would just end

By Bray on 12/29/2018 at 7:48 PM. Helped by Leroy, Tyrone, many.

Try to resolve yet another problem. Your staff was quick to ignore us, continued to play on their personal phones, and typing on the computer and refusal to speak to me. With off course made me very upset as we have tried to call Numerous times and have had numerous problems going back to the day we dropped off our journey for repairs. Our calls never got returned, no one knew what was going on, so we decided with a need for a vehicle to Just trade in. Luckily my father in law agreed to sign the loan with his great credit as our la are tanked with student loans and the payments options were reasonable even with a down payment. The Wednesday before thanksgiving we agreed with Leroy to come in at 330 to finalize everything get the car and review the paperwork before it was sent out of state for signatures to ensure everything was correct..mind you we have purchased several vehicles over our time in many states being military and never had issues and know the process well. Instead of waiting for our 330 agreement Leroy proceeded to call and text me at a min of 15 times in 1.5 hours while I’m at work. I had to finally tell Him to stop. And only my husband went. Off course the paperwork wasn’t ready, we agreed to come Back Saturday. We showed up and were questioned why were there and that they’ll have everything handled. We waited quite sometime and even my husband went to Tyrone and asked him hey we scheduled this and he just lifted his hand and asked us to leave and wait. Finally someone came to help us and he had no knowledge of the deal. He did the best he could but our questions got answered incorrectly once we did research which gave us the opportunity to call numerous times to Tyrone to explain why this was said and it was not this off course it took Hours for someone to call us back. Thinking everything’s okay and the dealer told us the pay out for the Journey will be made by December 11, we called weekly to check the status to ensure, being blown off and told numerous things we knew something was wrong. Needless to say it didn’t happen. I get a call last week from Janice, and she told me She is sending the title paperwork to my father in law in Ohio with the check and he will have to do it himself. We asked several times the process of an out of state title and registration and they said everything would be done on your guys behalf so Imagine it’s response with our temp plate expiring on the 5th of January and very little notice. She told me we were being taxed at 8% and I told her several times during our call and even hung up to call Ohio title in summit county where my father in law resides that this is incorrect. She said she talked to them It is, and didn’t acknowledge my concern. Fast forward to today Saturday December 29, my father in law calls and states that the check was for a way different county that their bracket is 8% and not for summit county. We tried to call once again voicemail after voicemail. So we came to the dealership. Tyrone another white gentleman were sitting there in the office behind glass. I went in and said I need to talk to a manager, I don’t want a voicemail or Tyrone I want an actual manager because yet another mistake was made. And how can you as a person paying on a 40k loan with someone’s name on the line who’s holding this loan, not be upset with a dealership who has one job to handle its customers. Mind you my husband did come Friday left work as we couldn’t get a hold of anyone and Tyrone told him he had another deal and couldn’t deal with him so my husband said what was on his mind on how we’ve had nothing but problems and he would have never ever stepped into this dealership if we didn’t have to but we had no choice with our car needing repairs at a dodger dealership near us. So back to today, they both ignored us. Continued to type. I said hey, and told them the issue with the title and the wrong vin being sent to the bank. The payment is due, the incorrect vin was for collateral. I mean come on? He pulled the card of I need to talk to the owner of vehicle which hey want a problem when the deal was made. Now it is? Ironic. I told him we had called and called, no one gets us anywhere. We’re fed up. It’s been 6 weeks or so. I mean enough is enough. Tyrone starts to defend himself picks up the paper and says here it’s right here I haven’t done it yet and whatever. We’re like come On? What nonsense is this? Like we called yesterday at noon 4 times and in the Morning we have enough notice for returning calls yet no one did. Then they start saying how the phone is messed up and they got voicemails. Well why don’t y’all say that? Well we can’t control people in the building? If it’s a known thing your voicemail doesn’t work why are you allowing us to leave voimcemails. Which in return feels like we are being ignored? Tyrone gets back on his phone. And the guys next to him starts saying I’m Just gonna withdraw and void the deal. Um excuse me? How does that work? He’s like well we lost money on it anyway and it was a horrible deal and you’re a misberable person and leave. Okay that’s cute. I’m Miserable because you didn’t do your job? And you are rude? And have been nothing but rude and ignoring us for weeks and have made so many mistakes and we have no right to be mad. And Tyrone chimes in and says, well your husband was here yesterday and he pissed me off that’s why I didn’t talk To Him. Well I mean when you’re ignoring us, making constant mistakes, don’t return our calls, and we have to show up non stop to babysit we don’t have a right to be pissed of but you do? And call people miserable? so I spot the journey outside and out of coursity since no one would tells us what was wrong with the Journey I decided to ask? The white guy suddenly jumps up and says thank god y’all can Have it back! I said well It’s not your day is it? He quickly rushes to the service department and I ask Lisa for the print out and ironically it’s what we always thought was wrong with it and no one wanted to tell us as they knew we were interested in a new car. How did that work out? The journey had a 3500 warranty bill on it. And we got a new car. When initially we just wanted our car fixed. But he didn’t talk to us at all and went back to his desk. Tyrone comes by and says “ no matter how y’all feel about me this is the process of fixing the bank and the vin number” and he told us. Which I mean you could have told me that when you called me by mistake thinking I was the bank On Friday. And when my husband was there Friday and when we came today and asked why it wasn’t done. Now that everyone’s pissed off you tell us. The lack of communication at this dealership amazes me, calling people miserable, making excuses for phone lines, not returning calls, telling people you’re pissed off. That’s just amazing for customer service. When we didn’t do anything wrong we went to pay the bill and the bank Informs of in-corrections, we want to get a plate for the car and the wrong county is being paid for, we wanted our journey fixed and no one would tell us what’s wrong. I mean when is enough enough? Why can’t we be pissed off? Why can’t we be treated with respect xxxxty deal Or not that’s on the dealership and not us. I work for a local insurance agent and we often do business with five Star customers, and love referring people to good repair shops and what not. My husband being a local recruiter often has the ability to get new soldiers new cars and networking in the area to ensure success in this region. We have been warned by our neighbors, and even local mechanics we saw initially to stay away, but with no choice minus Columbus and reading reviews we still big the bullet. With much regret. We have a chance and instead we were miserable not in our lives but with five star. And yes we did the survey and yes we spoke with Julie about our survey she even went above and beyond to fix our problems, we thought that was the end. She even asked us to change the survey and I refused. And this is the reason why I refused. We hope this is the end. We love the car we got, good deal for us maybe not perfect for y’all but we did our part. No one forced anyone to do the deal so you can’t throw that in our faces. Mistakes were made from day 1. And we all are losing. But either way....customer service is key, owning your mistakes is key.

Excellent service!!!!!

By Mrs.logue on 8/15/2018 at 11:08 PM.

I came into the dealership today after a bad experience at the Honda dealership. Truvino was the salesman who greeted me at the door, after I explained my experience down the road he listened to what I wanted in a vehicle and asked if he could show me a few things. I went home in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee I didn’t think I would be able to get a deal but our salesman asked me to let him earn my business and that’s just what he did. Thank you so much! For your help and being so patient. You are truly a great salesman!!!!! If anyone needs a new car, truck or suv please ask for Truvino Sims he will work for you!

True Garbage

By Altmiller on 5/5/2018 at 8:21 PM. Helped by Cashier, Service Department.

I made an appointment for a 30,000 mile service and they simply didn’t do it. They didn’t call and tell me anything. They knew my car was there, and that it was there for this service...and they didn’t do it. No explanation, no reason, no apology. THIS HAPPENED TWICE!!! This place is absolute garbage. I will drive two hours to the next closest dealership instead of ever giving them my service. I really don’t know how they stay in business.

Most dishonest dealership I have ever dealt with

By Screwed over on 10/18/2017 at 12:28 PM. Helped by James M, Kieth.

of town buyer and had James M. as my sales person. I bought a 2011 Toyota Sienna. I specifically asked about body damage and how the paint was. He said "There is no damage and the paint is in great shape". I had the car delivered to my condo in Florida and was not there for delivery. The car had a wrecked passenger front bumper and missing the fog light black cover, 4 12" scratches above that as well as paint damage on the entire front from bugs that wont come off. Then as soon as we put the key in the ignition and started the first time all airbag lights on dash where on and so was a SRS warning on display screen saying get to dealer asap. I called and asked about this and James said" It wasn"t like that when it left our store"- Which would be a huge coincidence!! I took it to the Toyota Dealer and they said it needs a new Spiral cable for the airbag system- $1000 installed. I overlooked the brakes that are shaking when you apply them , I also overlooked the body damage and paint damage that James said wasn't there but I wont overlook the airbags not working. They also had me sign a piece of paper stating there was no recalls according to them but in reality it actually has 4. I have been after them for about 10 days and just get the runaround and James M basically told me to quit calling him. I have pics/texts/emails to send to verify what I am saying. kamabl910@gmail.com No results found for your search.

Wonderful experience

By gvisnan on 7/17/2017 at 2:30 AM. Helped by Kristie Hortman.

Kristie Hortman was wonderful to work with. We are out of state so everything was handled online, and she was super responsive/helpful in emails during this whole process. I was torn on color and they ended up having the best OTD price out of the 20+ dealerships I contacted on the east coast (difficult vehicle and trim package to find). We drove 7 hours to pick it up and there were some small issues with the detail job that was performed on it (overspray from a vinyl conditioner, a few scratches, and a seat stain) but they were mostly fixed. There was also an issue in finance because they don't have people bringing in pre-approval letters often like we did but once they figured out how to put it in their system it was a pretty smooth process. We were offered the extra warranties but declined. We didn't feel pushed or rushed at any time and overall it was a great vehicle buying experience!

I would recommend this dealer.

Poor Service.

By Bob B. on 6/23/2017 at 1:32 PM. Helped by Derek Hinson, General Manager, Leon Service Manager,.

I have taken my Jeep Cherokee into their dealership and have yet, to have them fix anything, other than replacing a broken plastic trim piece. I have been ignored, disrespected, and lied to by both the sales and service teams. Since one of the issues was a strange noise coming from the steering, I requested the service technician that was to perform the work on my car ride with me so there would be no question as to the exact noise, and how to reproduce the noise as it was intermittent when cold, but not if the car was hot and the outside temp was also hot. Let it cool down, or park it in a cool place and it might do it when first turning the wheel, but would not do it again until the car was hot. They at first balked at having the tech ride, but then came out with someone to ride with me and posed as a technician. Turns out he was their porter. Nothing was done for a few days, and then was told the car wouldn't make the noise and I was hearing gravel under the tires. Sorry, been driving for 47 years, think I know what gravel feels and sounds like. Picked the car up, drove it until it was hot and brought it back. Had Derek, the new GM ride with me and he heard the noise. Claimed they replaced the steering motor, but noise was still there. Claims they put a new steering rack, but the noise still there. Replaced strut mounts, noise still there. There was also a squeaking noise by the drivers door that they were to address at the same time as the steering noise. The seatbelt no longer worked when I picked up the car. Waited while they fixed whatever it was they broke, and now there is a nice greasy handprint on the headline. Was so disgusted that I had to leave and clean it up on my own. Also found trim pieces for the interior laying on the floor that they hadn't replaced. Did that on my own as well. So they kept my car off and on for three months and didn't fix a thing.

BAD SERVICE TOP TO BOTTOM

By LA99 on 10/31/2016 at 6:25 PM. Helped by Derick the Service Manager and Derick the General Manager.

I bought a vehicle from this location a few months back. I have had several "check engine" lights come on and have had to run this vehicle back and forth an hour away from where I live. The radio is not operating properly and even had the GM issue me an extended warranty. My wife recorded this radio malfunction which is what the GM asked for, and now that it is on video he is not going to replace the unit as he said he would. We are also experiencing more check engine lights and they plan to do nothing about it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Be careful what you buy! Check Ratings!

They took 3 months to perform my warranty work

By dcolpi on 12/2/2015 at 6:04 PM. Helped by Anne.

I was without a car for over 3 months while this dealership performed warranty work on my car. When they eventually told me it was done, it broke down on the way home due to an issue with the repair (they didn't connect the shifter cable to the engine correctly, so it came undone while driving home). I called this dealer 23 times over the course of the 3 months and never once received a call back from them. It eventually got to the point where the service representative no longer took my calls. I eventually had to get Dodge Corporate involved and then threaten legal action to get my car back. I love my dodge grand caravan, but find it is very difficult to find good service for it. I would avoid this dealer like the plague.

After purchasing a used car in May of this year, with...

By Angry1 on 9/17/2006 at 2:28 PM. Helped by Carl Gregory located in Albany, Georgia.

After purchasing a used car in May of this year, with under 30,000 miles on it, I've found out that it was in a major accident from a Ford employee, which I wasn't informed of by Carl Gregory. My windshield is leaking and has destroyed the rug on the passenger side of the vehicle and on my birthday, September 16th, 2006, the service light came on and the car wouldn't pull. I came back hours later and it started with no problem. I HATE CARL GREGORY'S USED CAR DEPARTMENT IN ALBANY, GEORGIA!!! You all really need to perform some type of undecover investigation on the USED CAR DEPARTMENT IN ALBANY BECAUSE THEY'RE SWINDLING A LOT OF PEOPLE. Almost everyone that I've recently spoke with, that have purchased a vehicle has been victim to some type of car malfunction that could've been prevented if they were simply informed of the situation before the purchase. TRANSMISSION FAILURE IS THE MAIN PROBLEM.
