Watch out, this dealer has double standard service

By LemonJuicer on 1/6/2019 at 7:12 AM. Helped by Tiffany.

if you use coupon for car service, your car will be serviced by a "non-master" technician with lower pay rate! I cannot guarantee if that technician knows the difference between gasoline or engine oil! Here was what happened to me: I was trying to use a standard Mopar coupon for a full synthetic oil change at the time of checkout. Very interesting things happened...The cashier did not allow me to use it and explained that I have to present the coupon at the time of the service order. I have been doing the same thing with another Jeep dealer without any problem, so I asked for an explanation. They asked the manager Tiffany and here is what she explained: If I use a coupon, they will bill a lower rate which would have distributed my service job to a "non-master" technician who has a lower pay rate. They even uses examples that if I pay less, they have to hire a "JixxxLube-level" technician to do the job. Ouch...This is shocking to me that this dealership or Mopar has such double standard to discriminate service jobs by whether customer uses coupon or not? OMG, this is unbelievable in today's industry... What's worse is this manager is a total denier...I asked her to write down this reason in paper so that I can use this to check with Mopar if this is company policy. She refused to record her words and reworded it to be "Service will need to be distributed accordingly when customer presents a coupon". She claimed they have used the "express lane" technicians who are all master-level. But listen, even the original service confirmation email said "express lane", I didn't even have a choice. At this point, I am extremely frustrated with this dealership. I think I will try to avoid AutoNation entirely in PNW. Guys, if you want to keep your cars for longer, make sure you can make more money so that you don't need to use coupon on them, or just move away!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Purchased a new Pacifica Hybrid...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

By Awebb on 8/21/2018 at 10:47 PM. Helped by Trent, James, Jeannine.

I knew exactly what I wanted. They had the van priced competitively and when I called the sales manager Trent was very responsive and willing to expedite things. When I arrived the van was clean and charged. We decided to trade in our old car which wasn't worth much and we knew that so the whole process took about 90 minutes start to finish. Would definitely buy another car here - clean and easy transaction. Side note, the receptionist Jeannine is absolutely wonderful!!!

SCAMMERS

By Tbom2018 on 4/20/2018 at 7:18 PM. Helped by John Donohue, Scott, Dan.

SCAMMERS is the only word I can find to describe my experience working with the service department. Don't trust these guys and absolutely don't come here if you don't have to. I purchased a backup camera to get installed with these guys. The only reason I didn't do it myself was because of convenience & it required the dealership to flash the radio unit in order for it to be able to receive the backup camera. What should have been only a 1.5 hr job turned into 5 days of them giving me a bunch of B.S. and saying they needed to run tests to figure out why they were unable to get the camera to work. Ultimately they could not complete the job, returned my car WITHOUT a working backup camera, AND still had the audacity to charge me for labor!!! This is coming from the Manager -- clearly they would rather have a few hundred dollars in their pocket vs now losing a customer for life. They said if I still wanted it to work, I need to buy a new radio that costs over $1000!!! because their conclusion was that the radio is faulty. That i would have to buy the same model radio when everything else worked because they tested the camera on another car, triple checked the wiring, ran all diagonistics...etc. AND they gave me the guarantee that if I purchased this $1k radio that it will for sure work. I took the car home, spent 30 min opening up the dash to check wiring going into the radio unit and immediately saw they connected the wiring to the radio harness incorrectly. So it took me 1 minute to fix that and then it worked!!! I WONDER IF THEY DID THIS ON PURPOSE TO MAKE ME SPEND MORE MONEY KNOWING FULL WELL WHAT THE ISSUE IS AND LYING TO ME. Seems like a crazy coincidence when you figure they seemed very confident and even gave me a FULL guarantee that buying a new radio unit would be the solution. These guys are sneaky and UNTRUSTWORTHY

They price gouge on service repairs.

By Joseph Hughes on 3/14/2018 at 3:21 AM. Helped by Chris Rider.

After paying over $200 for a check engine light report I was quoted $521 for repairs. I had to asked twice for a detailed quote breaking out parts and labor. Being an untrained Chrysler mechanic, I was able to replace both parts in under an hour with OEM parts sourced at 2/3rd the cost of the parts quoted by Chris. I understand Dealership shops are expensive to operate, but $422.64 in labor seems out of line. The service sales rep was Chris Rider. I recommend using another dealer or independent mechanic.

Test Drive

By AA-Ron on 3/20/2017 at 3:31 PM. Helped by Ivan, Shawn (manager).

I went to Bellevue Dodge intent on driving a new Challenger. After selecting the car I wanted to drive salesperson Ivan asked to make a photocopy of my drivers license. I told him that was not necessary and provided him a copy that I had made. My photocopy had my home address and date of birth redacted. Soon after Ivan came back out with his manager, Shawn, and told me THEY needed to make a photocopy for security reasons and that it was an Autonatiom policy. I told them there is no reason that they would need a persons birthdate and home address. I showed them my actual drivers license to prove the copy was a match and this still did not satisfy Shawn. I bid them both a good day and walked away. If you are interested in buying a Dodge/Ram go elsewhere as the staff here is more interested in playing games than selling cars!

Team up as Liar

By Autonation on 2/3/2017 at 3:37 PM. Helped by Chris-Finance, Sales Manager.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to this dealership. I finalized the deal signed the paperwork. And after 2 weeks I was informed that they can't repair the Cara's mentioned in'We owe' doc. No one seems to apologize. Don't care about people's time. After 3 weeks got a letter from Capitol One that they requested a auto loan in my husband's name when he was not mentioned in any of the document. No one is available to answer. So unprofessional not in estimating the repair but even on finance side. please don't go to this dealership it's just a time waste.

My purchase was too complicated, given an ultimatum and insu

By R guy on 10/10/2016 at 10:22 PM. Helped by Mike Paulsen, floor manager?.

I saw a car online and contacted them, received initial response and then went 4 days with no response to emails and voicemails. While waiting for a response, the price increased $2k. I went in not sure if they would honor the price quoted or stick with the inflated price.... Didn't have high expectations for the salesman Mike based on our interactions and unanswered requests for information. I agreed to purchase the car for the initial quoted price. After several hours and a few calls to the FL DMV in an effort to pay FL tax and register there, the floor manager gave me an ultimatum to buy and license in WA for the same price or walk... When I countered with an additional discount since I'll have to transfer registration next month when I move.... He told me his offer was to only get me out of his face and that he'd spent enough time on me. Worst experience ever, not to mention wasted from 9:15-2:30 with the dealer only to have to ride the bus for an hour and a half since I sent my wife with our other car when I thought the deal was done.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Plate/cover over oil filter/pan missing. Never installed

By Upset3 on 7/14/2016 at 10:46 PM. Helped by ?.

We should have known better. Looked for a new jeep (Summit) at the beginning of 2016. They were not available but Autonation had a new 2015. We went to purchase it and found that it had been driven 1,600 miles already. We should have walked out but our old jeep was just that... Old. We purchased it and went in for our first oil change. Everything went fine. We decided to go to our mechanics for the next oil change and he told us the cover that goes over the oil filter was missing. This is a fairly large area! He said rocks could hit under the car and go through this hole. We took our car to the dealer because of the major recall of the shifter and told them about the plate also. They would not install it unless we paid for it. They said some have it and some don't. Does that make sense? We didn't have it installed because this is part of the car that was never installed. I would never buy a car there again. We bought a used car that should be brand new with a missing part and a major recall... I rated this dealer 1 star. It is showing 4 1/2 stars... Why?

I would not recommend this dealer.

My wife's bithday Jeep waiting in our driveway with a bow!

By Kevin D on 10/23/2015 at 10:03 PM. Helped by Dave Tisdial.

I had an idea but needed some serious help. The idea was to surprise my wife for her birthday....a new Jeep Rubicon sitting in our driveway with a red bow when we returned from our vacation. Dave Tisdial was the salesperson that I presented the idea to with only 3 days notice before leaving town. To add to the challenge, he was having surgery to fix a torn ligament the next day! I met him the day after surgery at the dealership, still in obvious pain he pulled the deal together and assured me that the car would be waiting in the driveway. In addition he agreed to pick up my wife's old car in trade in when he dropped off the new Jeep! I had no idea what to expect as we were about ready to pull into our driveway after the vacation but there it sat, a beautiful new Rubicon with a red bow on it. She was so blown away, I thought I might have to perform CPR but she survived to brag to everyone about the creative birthday presentation. Thank you Dave Tisdial, you are the best! Kevin Downey

The hundreds of online reviews are true!!!

By Kelly Family on 4/28/2015 at 7:28 PM.

I'm the type of customer who does his "homework" before buying anything. So I actually took the time to read the hundreds of online reviews from multiple websites about this sales person named David Tisdial. At first I thought to myself "is this even possible" that someone like this exists in the car business. I have to admit he is not your typical sales person. He listens, is low pressure and helps you find what you need and want in a car. He truly is an advocate for the consumer and is very relaxed. He took us on two different test drives and during that time he listened to our concerns and needs. I wouldn't be surprised if he was willing to take us on a third if we wanted to. Even though he is extremely busy with the amount of people that want to meet with him. No wonder he meets on an appointment only basis. On top of all of that his product knowledge is second to none. In fact while we were waiting to sign paperwork there were other sales people asking him questions about what options came with what. If we ever have to buy a car he would be the first person we would go to. As a side note, we had brought our kids with us and while we were with the finance guy signing papers. David took our kids (6 and 4) and watched them for us for about 20 min. He was very good with them and let them play with his car collection. Since purchasing a car is a large investment we were glad we found David. He makes you feel relaxed and doesn't pressure you to do something you don't want to do. The dealership is very clean and all the sales people were very polite and professional. They were always there to open doors for you and made you feel welcome. As a side note: It is their policy to talk to the sales manager and Cory was very professional. He wasn't the "in your face type manager" that we found at other Jeep dealerships. In fact it seemed it felt like he wasn't David's sales manager but a facilitator to help with all of the customers wanting to meet with him. Thanks David!! Great working with you..and my kids loved the fact you took their picture inside the Viper.

I would recommend this dealer.

Love the Sales Team.....Service Team HORRIBLE

By GoHoosiers on 10/14/2014 at 7:19 PM. Helped by Rob (sales), Darren (finance) Eric (Service).

We have bought 2 jeeps in the past 12 months. Salesmen Cory and Rob are great. Darren in finance is also very professional and we enjoyed the experience of buying and financing at this Autonation. Our experience since the purchases has been horrible. The Grand Cherokee has had numerous recalls, which are not the service department's fault. However, how you deal with the inconvenienced customer is your responsibility. Each recall on a vehicle is an opportunity for Autonation to step up and show why we should continue to purchase vehicles and service contracts from Autonation. The recall is the opportunity to put your best foot forward and make me feel good about my decision to purchase this Jeep that seems to have recall after recall. Unfortunately, when we call the service department the phone rings and rings and cycles back to the main switchboard. The recall P14 which came out in April 2014, it is now October I have still not been able to get fixed. I called when the card came out in the mail and was told 90 days. I called again in September, now I had another recall P36 in my hand. In addition the car was constantly beeping because it thought I wasn't wearing my seatbelt (I always wear my seatbelt), the airbag system was warning that it needed to be serviced, the 911 phone system would make the entire screen go red saying it wasn't working, and the ACC/FCW Service is not available was flashing on my dashboard.....this is the front collision warning system. Called service with all these issues and was told they couldn't get the car in until October 13th. I drove the car the shortest distances as possible due to the noise from the seat belt warning, and feeling unsafe with now 2 unserviced recalls plus all the additional problems. Took the car in on October 13th, service told me one day. They called on the 14th to tell me car could be picked up but they had not repaired the brake recall P14 because they didn't have the parts and it could be a few months. Why did they not tell us this yesterday? I called the other dealerships in town, they are all backordered by over 400 cars, why didn't Bellevue just be honest when the car was dropped off? Autonation Bellevue needs to invest in more people to answer the phones, service people who at least sympathize with the frustration consumers are having on these recalls, instead of just being deadpan showing no personality or apology for the inconvenience. Unless I can be convinced otherwise by the excellent Bellevue sales team, we will move all service to Kirkland Jeep dealership and if we do get a Dodge truck it will not be at Bellevue. Bigger is not better....Autonation has some serious service department issues and they should consider an overhaul in the department. Price was excellent in my review because the car is under warranty.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Dave Tisdial is the MAN!

By tallndeadly on 9/15/2014 at 6:27 PM.

I have never had such a smooth transaction. The best part is my coworker and I both bought Jeeps from Dave within two days of each other - and we didn't even know it! So Dave should get 10 stars because he helped us both. He found me the exact rig I wanted and I didn't even know it existed! I used the Costco program, because Costco is awesome. You just can't go wrong with this guy!

Unhappy car buyer

By krlockett on 8/30/2014 at 12:11 AM. Helped by Jim.

I'm unsatisfied overall with my recent purchase. Buying a car should not be painful. However, I did not have a good experience and no one cares because they have their check. I wish a GM would take out time of his/her busy schedule to follow up with my recent purchase. Thanks for showing your customers that you care.
