Worthless and Unsatisfactory Customer Service

By Milguy114 on 1/18/2019 at 8:34 PM. Helped by Eddie Matthias, Edwin Ortiz.

I inquired about a vehicle out of state in hopes of being able to make the deal with this AutoNation. Initially the conversation I had with the Sales Rep went great. He said that he would be able to help with a purchase on the vehicle in question. After checking the availability, he took my information and was going to work the numbers and get back with me. When I did finally hear back the following day, I received the email with the cost breakdown from a completely different individual with numbers on my trade-in being completely different than the original. Trying to get a hold of the sales person I was working with, I was notified that he was off for the next couple of days but that the numbers would be adjusted. Another day went by without hearing from the dealership. At this time the vehicle had been pulled from the inventory an no longer for sale. Again I attempted to the person I was working with only to received yet another email from a completely different person trying to sell me a different vehicle. Needless to say the communication and customer service at this location is trash, to say the least! You are better off going next door or across the street to the other dealerships. Will not return here or any other AutoNation.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Five-Star Service

By jerrizona on 11/28/2018 at 3:21 AM. Helped by Matt.

A heartfelt Thank You to Matt in the Service Dept. He is a Superstar!!! My wife recently purchased a new Dodge Challenger RT from another dealership. She found that she had constant signal interference/static on any FM radio station that she tuned to. She had taken it to other dealerships only to be disappointed. Since I had such a positive experience with purchasing a used truck at AutoNation CDJRF last month, I offered to take it to their Service Dept on my way to work. Our Service Advisor, Matt, gained my confidence immediately. Not only was he professional, courteous, and attentive; he also displayed great empathy and concern for my wife's troubling experience with other dealerships. It took a couple of days, but Matt kept us informed every step of the way, and they were able to resolve the issue. From now on, we will bring both of our vehicles here for service! Thank you AutoNation CDJRF!!!

I would recommend this dealer.

Incompetent and lazy

By Calahanh on 11/14/2018 at 7:56 PM. Helped by Rocket.

If it were possible to give a negative star rating, I would. This service center would get -4 stars from my last two experiences. Bought a brand new ram limited. $57k truck. Shortly after we bought it (2weeks) we started hearing the brakes squeeking as if the pads had worn down. We made an appointment and took it in. When we arrived they said they didn’t have us on the schedule. They went back and forth with my wife over whether she even made the appointment which was the first sign that this place was going to be terrible. They took the truck in at noon on Friday and at the end of the day, we had no call to let us know what was going on or when we are going to get the vehicle back. We called 5 times with no answer or response all within normal operating hours. Had to track down the manager if the lot to find someone to call me back. Didn’t get the vehicle back until the end of the following day. They said they were unable to duplicate the squeek and wouldn’t be changing the pads. As i was driving home, lo and behold, the squeek returns. We were having some other issues with the Uconnect system so I made another appointment a few weeks later and met with a different service advisor “Rocket.” They said they were wide open on their schedule for Friday and i could pick any appointment time. I chose 10am and arrived at 9 because i finished work early. Again, at the end of the day, no call or update from Rocket to tell me what is going on. i finally get him to call me back and ge says nobody has had a chance to look at it. After I complained to him about the supposedly wide open schedule, he offers me a rental car and makes it seem as if he’s going above and beyond by offering this and that the average time that a vehicle is in their shop is 3 days. Of course they don’t tell you this when you make an appointment. Guess what, on Saturday, no call to let me know what is going on. End if the day, Rocket calls and says there is still one car in front of you, I’ll let you guys keep the rental. Oh thanks Rocket. You’re a hero. Monday, no call until the end of the day. STILL one car in front of you. Unbelievable. Tuesday, call at noon. “ Got your Uconnect rebooted and now we will get it to the brakes guy.” Wednesday, call at 1pm. We weren’t able to duplicate the squeeking in your brakes... it’s a brand new truck. Ive owned it for less than a month. Just change the darn pads and be done with it. I will be filing a formal complaint with autonation and I will be asking for the dealership manager to meet me when I go to pick up the truck tonight.

A Five-Star Buying Experience

By jerrizona on 11/14/2018 at 7:25 PM. Helped by Anthony "Tony" Torres, Don Seefried, Alyssa.

I had a wonderful buying experience here. They are conveniently located near my work, so I dropped by after work one evening. The Salesman with whom I had initially been in contact with, Don Seefried, was off that day; no worries, Alyssa was amazing. She helped me arrange a test drive, answered all of my questions, helped me reserve my vehicle, and never once tried to pressure me. When I returned to make my purchase, Don was leaving for the day as he had just returned from an out of state trip to retrieve a vehicle for another customer, so he was exhausted. No worries, I completed my purchase with the help of Anthony "Tony" Torres. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and also never once tried to pressure me. I highly recommend Auto Nation. Their no haggle pricing, reserve policy, and return policy all set the standard that all other car dealers should follow. In the future, my wife and I will purchase all of our vehicles from this dealership.

I would recommend this dealer.

Horribe Customer Service, just horrible!

By Slobodan9881 on 7/28/2018 at 12:29 AM. Helped by Marvin.

Horrible service at this dealership, do not buy cars from them! Just awful customer experience. I took my Dodge Durango for service this morning (BTW this is the same place I bought my car brand new) at 10:30AM and the service agent Marvin told me there were only 4 cars ahead of me and for me to leave my car that they should get to it today by 3PM. He does not call me all day, I come to see what’s going on at 5PM and he tells me there are 15 cards ahead of me and that they will not be able to see my car and probably not tomorrow. He said “My Fault” and that’s it, not even apologize for being wrong or offer solutions, possibly giving me a quick rental or something, nothing. Just horrible service!

Tisha Jones is TOPS!!!!!!!!!!!

By HappyGal on 6/4/2018 at 6:30 PM. Helped by Tisha Jones, Damian(?) Mitchell.

Worked with Tisha a few months back. She helped me get into this gorgeous blue Toyota. I do have a disability that can make a big difference in my ability to drive, so she made sure that it was a vehicle I'm able to use without an issue. Her and her partner, Damian(?), were great, and made sure everything was smooth from start to finish, even while we had to work with a friend of mine out of state. THANK YOU!

Recall Ram 2500

By Wayne T on 3/16/2018 at 2:49 PM. Helped by Maureen Working.

Set up my truck for three recalls. They had the Air bag parts to perform two of the recalls. Maureen in service told me she would order the part for the steering recall and call me back to schedule a return. After one week I called her and she did not return my call. I have repeatedly called her on a daily basis since then and she has yet to even return my call. It's been three weeks. Very poor customer service. Left in the dark with no return call.

Not Worth Your Time - Signed Papers but No Car

By FrankF on 3/15/2018 at 4:05 PM. Helped by Edwin and F. Ward.

Not Worth Your Time - Signed Papers but No Car After countless days of email correspondence with one of the sales managers, I went in to test drive a Challenger RT with a competitors deal in hand. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed, and then spent the next 3 HOURS trying to finalize a lease agreement. As far as I'm concerned, this is far too much time to spend merely discussing pricing. I was shown a car in a color I'd already stated I wasn't interested in, but AutoNation assured me that they would have a Challenger RT Plus in the color I wanted delivered at no additional cost (required window tint fee would be equivalent to transport/delivery fee). This sounded perfectly reasonable, so I moved forward with completing the necessary paperwork. Upon signing the credit check form and the official offer, that I spent an additional hour waiting to have written up, I was told that they couldn’t reach their other location to secure that vehicle, but would secure it the next morning. The next morning, I received a text from the sales person stating that he was unable to secure the vehicle and that management had given him the “impression he would be able to get that vehicle for me”. Now, over 36 hours later, management has yet to find a resolution. Resolution aside, they have not even offered an alternative. This has been an utter waste of time–time that could have been spent finalizing an agreement at a more reputable dealership. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. Frank F

Super selection, willingness to work with the customer

By Mark in Phoenix on 1/22/2018 at 4:17 PM. Helped by Jerry Peterson.

I was pleasantly surprised by how far AutoNation Jeep (north Phoenix) has taken customer service, they had a super selection but I was expecting the "typical dealership" experience when we decided to stop in. It wasn't typical at all - our salesman was Jerry Peterson and he was awesome. He never pressured us, he just asked us questions and provided honest answers (surprisingly honest in fact - how refreshing!) He's a gentleman and a pleasure to work with - it wasn't long before he had our trust, and he sold us a SUPER Jeep! Every time I see it I get excited all over again. The finance process was as painless as I could ask for, and Jerry hung around the entire time to make sure we got everything we wanted - and only what we wanted. The next time I'm looking for a Jeep I know exactly where I'm headed first. It changed the way I feel about dealerships (for now anyhow! :))

These reviews do not surprise me...they are the worst dealer

By Horrible Experience on 1/11/2018 at 9:44 PM. Helped by John Senter.

You know I was referred by a friend to go and see "John Senter" who did nothing but lie and make false promises. They never fixed anything they were supposed to, screwed me out of a key and just flat out the worst customer service you could ever receive from a dealership. And their telemarketing practices to harass people are not funny. I have asked them to stop calling me several times and they call right back as if it's a joke. Steer clear of this dealership unless you want to be screwed over. There are many other dealerships in this area where I have sent friends that will actually follow up and appreciate your business and actually value you as a client. The kinds that earn your business and respect. This dealership, I wish I could give it negative stars.

Terrible Customer Service @ AutoNation

By Motorsports Guy on 5/6/2017 at 7:23 PM. Helped by Maureen.

What a pathetic excuse of a service department ! "Customer Service" is more like, "Bend over and grab your ankles". I've never seen any customer service department, in any business, with the sheer utter contempt for its customers, that these jokers have. My wife dropped off her Dodge pickup for a recall on Thursday night. Maureen was the service writer, and Maureen told my wife that she would call my wife on Friday when the vehicle was done. My wife never received a call back on Friday, so she called and left a voicemail in the afternoon to see if the truck was ready, but no one returned the call. We decided to wait until Saturday morning, and the no communication from Auto Nation continued. When my wife FINALLY got through to a live person on Saturday early morning, the person told her, that the repair order for the truck had not been updated in the computer system, since it was originally entered on Thursday and would make sure that a return phone call to us would be a priority. With the revelation that there was no computer update, we had no way of knowing if the truck was finished or not, and never got that elusive call back. By late morning, decided to head up there. A manager in the service department approached us, and I shared the events and my frustration, and he didn't have anything to say and didn't want to talk to me. It appears that he must hear this all the time. Maureen came over, told us our truck was ready and that she had called my wife on Friday morning to tell her the truck was ready. Funny, my wife never received a call. I wonder whose name was on the "voicemail" that Maureen allegedly called ??? When I shared my frustrations with Maureen about not being able to get in touch with a live person in service, she told us that for "next time", she would give us the "secret" phone number to get in touch with her. If a business has to use a "secret phone number" knowing that no one will answer the main number, their days are numbered. If Auto Nation actually cared and paid attention to taking care of the customers in the first place when they bring their vehicles in for service, then they wouldn't need to use the internet to try to do damage control. What a pitiful excuse for a business. With this kind of service, there is NO WAY I'd ever buy a car from these people who are only interested in the money they make and not taking care of their customers.

No time for follow up questions after the sale.

By John Frilando on 4/24/2017 at 5:09 PM. Helped by Boyd Sales Manager, Miguel, Sales person and some disrespectful and mean receotionist who declined to devulge her name..

Last week I bought a Ram 1500 and put down $20, 000 cash. I needed help for a simple product knowledge question. 4 phone calls over a one week time were not even returned and the receptionist got mad at me for finally asking for a live person. I bought my wife's new Towne and Country last year at Larry Miller, 30 miles closer to where I live and they continually have followed up with my wife to make sure that she is happy. My advise, avoid the United Airlines type of customer respect that Autonation has and deal with a dealership that supports the community and, perhaps more important, their customers.

Sales OK but Follow-up Customer service bad

By craigslistdodgeinAZ on 3/21/2017 at 5:01 PM. Helped by J Gomez.

Sales: I researched extensively online and already knew the exact truck I wanted. I put out my specs to all dealerships (Dodge) in the Phoenix metro area. AutoNation was one of two dealerships that was willing to quote me outright without so many tricks. They came out on top so I purchased from them. They made the sales process fairly easy. We haggled a bit over the financing rate but 4 hours of pain in the showroom solved that to my satisfaction. I sold my vehicle to them and they matched the price I was quoted by CarMax. After Sales: This was a completely different story. First issue (not a big deal): They forgot to put an antenna on my vehicle when I drove away. I was in Phoenix the next weekend and picked up the antenna. I live in northern AZ so I have to make a 1.75 hr. trip to do anything in Phoenix. Second issue (bigger deal): Because I just moved to AZ and live in an extended stay, the dealership found it hard to "verify" my home address. This process took weeks and many calls. In the end, the finance company accepted the proof I offered the dealership without issue. Besides my wasted time, this process caused my temporary tag to expire because AutoNation Finance doesn't communicate with AutoNation Registration to avoid these issues apparently. So another 2 calls and about 1 hr wasted and they renewed my temporary tag. Third issue (bigger deal for me): AutoNation was supposed to register my new vehicle with my Veteran plates. However, they have registered my new vehicle with a new plate! Two calls have gone unanswered over 3 days. This issue remains unsolved. Admittedly, my situation is slightly out of the ordinary but my issue is that AutoNation is making very little effort to right their wrong. I will probably end up resolving this on my own at my further expense! I rated this dealership "fair" because I don't generally like auto dealerships and I got a decent price.

I would not recommend this dealer.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

By JessC on 12/11/2016 at 6:27 PM. Helped by RIANNA ARAGON, DAN STEWART, JASON, MATT, TISHA.

B-U-Y-E-R BEWARE!!!! PLEASE SHOP ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR NEW VEHICLE!!! My spouse and I were in need of a pick-up truck in order to pull a custom-built concession trailer. ON BLACK FRIDAY, 11-25-16 we were researching “Black Friday” deals on new and used Dodge Ram 1500. I called Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Phoenix inquiring about a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 they had for say on “True Car” for 19,000. The first salesperson I spoke to was named Jason. Jason was the first to confirm the specs on the truck and stated that it would fit my needs as far as it’s ability to tow the amount of weight I needed. I asked him to have the key in hand as I lived all the way in Buckeye and I didn’t want to make the journey if they did not have the specific vehicle I needed. Jason promised to call back as soon as he had the key in hand. Needless to say we never heard from Jason the salesperson again but decided to drive for an hour to Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Phoenix in order to get a good deal on the same pick-up truck they had advertised on their website. We decided to rush to dealership with our “Pre-Approval” from our chosen credit union in hopes we could “sign and drive” that evening. Once we arrived to Autonation-North Phoenix we were greeted by a sales person named RIANNA ARAGON. in the beginning she seemed extremely nice, patient, and knowledgable which are things that are typically positive in a sales specialist. We took the car for a test drive and confirmed all the specs with Rianna who was reading the vehicle information from a computer print out I assumed was provided by the car dealership. After we being extremely low balled for our trade-in leaving us 7,000 in the hole we decided to proceed with the transaction believing that we were still getting a great deal on a truck that could serve the intended purpose as well as serve as a secondary family vehicle. Six hours later we walked away seemingly pleased with our new vehicle without a super sour taste in our mouth. Two weeks later as we prepared to drive to Tennessee to pick up our custom trailer from the warehouse and then we were informed by the warehouse manager that the current vehicle in our possession that we had purchased from Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Phoenix was infact not able to pull the trailer and according to protocol they could not release the trailer without it being hooked up to the proper equipment. I was flabbergasted and called Autonation-North Phoenix and was transferred to my previous salesperson RIANNA ARAGON and was told it was my responsibility to be informed about the vehicle I was purchasing and her only job was to facilitate the sale! I am by no means an expert on pick-ups other than what can be found on google and I expect like most consumers for the salespeople who work for a company that specializes in selling this brand and trim to know the specs on the specific models that they are selling! I was beginning to get irate and asked to be transferred to a manager that confirmed there had been a mix-up and the specs were listed incorrectly in the system causing the confusion about the towing capacity. The manager, DAN STEWART, seemed to take responsibility for the situation and offered to take the truck back and get us into another one comparable in price that fit our needs. After doing a little digging I came across a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 V-8 that was deeply discounted due to the year end sales promotion for a price of approximately 25,000. I confirmed with Dan that this vehicle was in stock and the price was valid before making the hour drive back to the dealership. Once we got back to the dealership we were helped by another salesperson named Trisha who was very sympathetic to our situation and pulled out all of the stops to check and double check that the new vehicle were were forced to purchased would be able to fit our needs. Surprisingly once we got to the financing portion the total of vehicle including incentives as well as my “family” discount came out to about 34,000 which is significantly more that the price they had advertised on their site of approximately 25,000!. The manager Dan, self-righteously explained that he was infact doing us a favor by taking the truck back and putting us in to a discounted new vehicle without even empathizing with the fact that we initally came to them looking for a fair-priced used vehicle that was within budget but are now forced to either keep the useless truck (they have already added our trade-in into their inventory) or pay an additional 10,000+ for a new vehicle that was useable but far outside our budget. The difference in payments was a whopping 120.00! The only party that benefited from this transaction was Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram North Phoenix as they now have our old truck, or trade-in, and have now forced us into a sale of a new truck that we did not need! DO NOT SHOP AT THIS DEALERSHIP AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND SHOP ELSEWHERE! ALL THE SALESPEOPLE ARE UNDERTRAINED AND LIARS JUST LOOKING TO MAKE A DEAL WITHOUT CONSIDERING THEIR CUSTOMERS NEEDS! WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER THEY WILL LIE TO YOU FROM PRICING TO TRADE-IN VALUES TO EVEN THE “SOFT” PULLING YOUR CREDIT! EVEN IF YOU COME WITH YOUR OWN FINANCING THEY WILL STILL ILLEGALLY SEND YOUR CREDIT TO MULTIPLE FINANCING COMPANIES WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION AND TANK YOUR CREDIT. NOTHING BUT LIARS AND CHEATERS!!! WE ARE NOW OUT 15,000 DOLLARS (PRICE OF NEW VEHICLE AND LOSS ON THE TRADE-IN) AND AM ACCUMULATING STORAGE FEES EVERYDAY WE HAVE NOT GONE TO PICK THE CONCESSION TRAILER! I WILL BE REPORTING THIS DEALERSHIP TO THE B.B.B AND THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL!

My grandmother who went with me even stated that she has never met a nicer cars salesmen. You won't be sorry going to Bruce Weiss! He will go above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy and satisfied with when they buy, he is not pushy and even ask me if I was sure on the Durango R/T I bought. Even after I bought it he called and made sure I was still happy! So if your looking for a car and want the best service you can get go see Bruce he will take care of you!
