Bought two cars from there

By Matt7410 on 5/30/2019 at 1:46 PM. Helped by internet sales.

Well I bought a 4-Runner 2015 and then went back for a Toyota Tundra 2017; both new. I went through USAA car buying service both times. Great experience. By far the lowest prices. One dealership was willing to go lower on Tundra by $400; however, the platinum model didn't include side steps, whereas AutoNation did. Recently I'm been in market for sports car and it's been a nightmare with these other dealerships. I miss dealing with AutoNation.

I would recommend this dealer.

They raises prices while you're buying!

By Doug on 3/30/2019 at 3:58 PM. Helped by John Stone.

This was a terrible experience. They put you on hold, don't return calls and they raised the price on a car I had checked by a mechanic by $1,000! According to their sales manager, "we have the right to change our prices anytime."

I would not recommend this dealer.

Wont go back again

By Firefighter525 on 11/4/2018 at 7:16 PM. Helped by Tony,.

I bought a vehicle about a year ago from Autonation, and it was my first time buying a used vehicle and I called to make sure the vehicle was still available and when I arrived I dealt with Tony and at first I thought he was very nice, when it came down to actually sitting down to seeing what my monthly payments would be changed his attitude. After they ran my credit and came back and said oh we got you approved for this rate and monthly payments he totally changed. He told me right off the bat I WAS APPROVED well that was BS, cause it took them almost 2 months to get recontracted cause I was never approved. Well I dont know how many times my credit was ran and it kept dropping my score and I finally called the finance manager and told him this is unacceptable. Well then after they got me approved after 2 months I went into the DMV to register my car and my title paperwork wasn't there, called the dealership they didn't have the courtesy to call me before going in to to let me know they were having problems with the title. I will never go back there. Nor recommend this place to anyone. This car is a lemon car, I regret giving them my business my car has been in the shop 50% of the time, thankful to have extended warranty but thats not the point. I told to the "sale manager" Ed and he didn't seem to really care about happened.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Brian Matsumoto is great!

By KendraT on 9/25/2018 at 1:42 AM. Helped by Brian Matsumoto.

I was considering a Yaris, and Brian was really helpful and kind. The Yaris wasn’t available right away, but he showed me a similar vehicle and followed up when my original preference was ready to show. Although I decided to look at Hondas instead, I appreciate Brian’s patience and information. He treated me very well and I’d gladly recommend him to potential buyers.

Unethical and Unprofessional

By E.M. on 8/11/2018 at 7:23 PM. Helped by Multiple.

I drove 100+ miles to check out a car that I had confirmed was in stock prior to me going there. Only to find out that the general manager had "taken this car on a vacation with his kids" and could not be seen at until the following week. What kind of dealership lets their employees use advertised vehicles to go on joyrides with messy kids? Do they think I want to spend $50k on a car they treat so haphazardly? To make matters worse I learned from another employee that this car had front-end damage which was not disclosed in listing. This dealership is the most unethical and unprofessional I have ever come across!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Exorbitant Service Charges

By avchong1@hotmail.com on 7/19/2018 at 5:20 PM. Helped by James Barlow.

Took our Camry to Autonation Arapahoe to change the Valve Assembly vacuum S and was charged $162 for the Part and $261 for Labor. After research, the part can be purchased for $30-$50 and labor by a repair facility would be no more than $100. Autonation was a total rip off with their exorbitant charge of 5 times the price for the part and labor of $173 per hour for 1.5 hours to install. Absolutely STAY AWAY from this Toyota service dealership. Will never use them again.

Horrible Communications

By Vang on 7/12/2018 at 9:43 PM. Helped by Shawn.

Purchased a car on 5/25/18. Check engine light came on took car back on 6/24. Picked back up on 7/9 not even half way home which is 45 mins away check engine light came on again. Numerous time tried calling dealership and no return call back from GM. He answers to my review on Google but I much rather have him call me. No communication with me with what's going on with my car...staff just transfer me all over the place waiting for long times to even get someone who can't help me..

James Barlow is the service advisor to see

By jblum0 on 7/13/2018 at 4:21 PM. Helped by James Barlow.

James Barlow is an excellent assistant service manager with Autonation Toyota Arapahoe. He was able to diagnose a potential issue with my 4Runner in a shorter than anticipated time frame. He called as soon as the vehicle was done so I could plan my schedule and not have to wait to arrange transportation back to their office (a shuttle is available within 10 miles of the dealership). The service department is kept very clean and your car is taken care of. Score one for James and Autonation Toyota service. I'll definitely be back the next time I need service.

I would recommend this dealer.

Placing a hold on a vehicle is useless

By Sean Duncan on 4/8/2018 at 3:33 AM. Helped by Cristian Hinebaugh.

I was interested in a truck and saw that, through their website, I could reserve it for 72 hours. It was late on a Wednesday, and the only time that my wife and I could both view the vehicle was early Friday. Within 10 minutes of me providing my information, Cristian Hinebaugh called to confirm I had requested the hold on the truck. I informed him that I had, and was very interested in the vehicle. I then asked various questions on its history. Mr Hinebaugh then said he had limited access to the information on the car, since it was new on the lot, and the fact that I had placed a hold on the vehicle. I told him that I wasn't too concerned, as long as he had any additional information available when I came on Friday. He then proceeded to send me pics, confirmation emails, and additional information on the vehicle that very day. However, early Thursday, I recieved a voicemail informing me that the car had been suddenly sold that morning, and that perhaps, I should have offered them money for the hold, sight unseen. What then is the purpose of your company's "free" offer online to hold vehicles for 72hrs. I've done similar holds in other dealerships. Do you just offer the hold online to gather my personal information, all the while selling the vehicle with no concern. I have bought 2 vehicles from autonation dealerships in the past. On principal, I will never purchase a vehicle from them again. That Friday, I purchased a similar vehicle, from one of their competitors, while Mr. Hinebaugh is still laughably sending emails about other trucks for sale. Thanks, but no thanks.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Poor Customer Service

By Dongsun Lim on 2/7/2018 at 8:09 AM. Helped by Luis Cano.

I went in to purchase a used car, Camry Hybrid 2016 for my wife. Because of the good market price of the used car, I flew to an airport from Utah and online sales manager, Luis Cano, gave me a ride to the shop. What a great service it is! He showed me the car that I was interested in buying, and I realized it had more scratches on the car than pictures he sent, even worse there were some dents that he did not tell me. However, I was okay with that because he sure that car works perfectly and the car is Toyota certified, which he told me the car passed high-strict car inspection. So I trusted him, and purchased the car and drove back to Utah. The car was smooth and inside function worked perfectly. After few weeks, because the car is dirty, I had to wash the car. After car washing, I found food in trunk got all wet. I thought that it was strange, so I did car wash again with some box and tissue to see if they got wet. It turned out they got all wet. So I texted to Luis who sold this car and never told me the car has water leaking problem on a trunk and explained to him what just happen with pictures below. He said he asked three managers, and there is nothing they can do for this situation. I called him to see if there is anything they can do, at least I want to know he feels sorry for this, but he rather little blame me for water leaking problem. I felt really bad when he actually said that. He said he would look into it and get back to me in next day. He still hasn’t gotten back to me. I also called the customer relations department and left a message. Again I have heard nothing back. I would not suggest purchasing a car from here as they don’t care about you the moment you leave the lot.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Terrible Experience

By Jonathan on 10/31/2017 at 9:44 PM. Helped by Misha Sajin, Derrek Hayes.

Based on the rest of the reviews, this shouldn’t be surprise to see another poor experience coming from AutoNation Toyota. In our case, we used the AutoNation website to reserve a car we wanted over the weekend. Immediately after selecting to reserve on the website, we got an email with confirmation number that the vehicle was reserved for 72 hours and won’t be sold until after the reservation expires. At this point we were happy we found the car we wanted and glad it was reserved before we purchased on Monday. A couple hours before the appointment we get an email saying the car was already sold. We were very frustrated at this point, because we were promised this vehicle was reserved until it expired. We tried to work out other options like trying to find a vehicle, but were told none exist in the US right now. Also, AutoNation has similar vehicles in stock, but not what we were looking for so we asked about getting a significant discount on these similar vehicles to make up for this breaking of agreement of reserved vehicle. They didn’t want to change the price at all and offered nothing more than a hallow apology. No one should buy a car from these dishonest people.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Terrible Service Center

By Car124 on 10/7/2017 at 8:31 PM. Helped by Tony?.

I had an absolutely terrible experience here. What should have been a max 2 hour appointment for an oil change and new tires took over 4 hours. Finally I approached the service center and asked what was going on. My car was ready and was just sitting in the lot, but nobody had come to get me. The service center offered to give me a $20 discount on a $130 alignment if I was waited yet another half an hour. In other words, the compensation for my wait would be to spend another $110 on an additional service. At that point, I had already wasted half the day and couldn’t wait any longer. I actually need an alignment but was so frustrated with the poor service that I decided to take my business elsewhere. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this dealership for any future service.

Very pleased customer!

By CindyA on 10/5/2017 at 4:56 PM. Helped by Chris Ledbetter - service department.

The dealership when I purchased the car just less than a year ago - was awesome! The entire process was smooth and we walked away with a great vehicle at an exceptional price. I've since had it into the shop twice, for routine oil changes and again, they do a phenomenal job. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Even with a waiting room full of customers, I was in and out within 90 minutes. They even offer courtesy rides if you need that. I had my last Toyota for 10 yrs, I plan to have this Toyota for 10 years - but I guarantee if I'm still in the area when I'm looking for a new car, I will return to Autonation Toyota. Great car buying experience. Excellent experience with the service department.

I would recommend this dealer.

BUYER BEWARE!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!

By P w on 4/29/2017 at 2:54 AM. Helped by Greg.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Bait and switch!! I stopped by to trade in my vehicle. Looked at a few SR5 Premium 4Runners and found one in their system that matched all of the spec I was looking for. I saw it online advertised for the same price as the price in their system. We went back and forth on negotiations. Almost took a hour. We agreed to a price. They take my keys and start drawing up paperwork for financing. The salesman comes back, 45 minutes later, and tells me they can't sell the car unless I agree to pay $6,000 more. They told me the car was lifted but they didn't know that...even though they put the lift on at their shop. Their other option was that I could get an SR5 and come back a different time and they'd manually upgrade everything to make it a "premium" Now it's late. Store is closed. I told them I wasn't going to pay $6,000 as we already agreed to a price on a VIN and I wasn't going to get the SR5. I asked the salesman for my paperwork back as it had my signature on it. The sales manager FINALLY comes out from behind his desk and meets me. Tells me he can't give it out and that I need to leave. I asked again and he started yelling at me that I needed to leave, now. I again asked for my paperwork and he came back with everything except the sales menu. Told me I could leave his store now. I asked again for the sales menu and he begins claiming he has no idea where it's at and yelling at me to leave his store. Telling him I wasn't going to leave without it, he magically finds it and demands that I leave. I leave and call the next morning first thing to speak with a general manager. No one knows his number though. It took three phone calls, leaving voicemails with various people and finally I got a call back from a different sales manager at 2pm....still no word from the GM.

They don't want to talk to women?

By Jeff Tuccy on 3/31/2017 at 4:31 PM. Helped by Unknown service agent.

This was the first service (5000 miles) on a new Highlander. First, when this dealer called about the car, I asked them to call my wife to schedule the appointment and provided her number. They never called her. She made the appointment herself (she is the primary driver of the Highlander). Upon bringing the car for service, she gave the guy her cell phone number and went to the lounge/lobby to wait. When the car was ready, the guy called me -- at work, 20 miles away --to say the car was ready for my wife. I called her to let her know. She went to get the car and told the guy she was there, in their building & reminded him he had her number. He acknowledged he had her number, but never explained why he didn't call her directly. I guess this dealership prefers not to talk to women.
