Up until now I likened the car-buying experience to a sharp stick in the eye … that is, until I met Joe Tumbiolo when I stopped into Auto Mall Collection simply to browse the cars. Joe greeted me on the lot, took the time to understand my needs, and then guided me to the cars that met those needs. I took delivery of my car this morning! Get Car Checked Independently

Dealt with Alan (George) and a manager, John. Was told that car (2013 528xi, 43,850 miles, $23,000) had been checked by BMW Peabody. It was, but it was a very limited inspection and I confirmed with BMW Peabody that it did not include brakes/rotors. I took the car for inspection by my own BMW mechanics. They found: Front tire had a plug right at the sidewall; was told the car would not pass inspection with this tire. Cost of new matching tire about $600. The other tires 50% worn. Front brakes pads 90% gone; rears 60% gone. All rotors worn & rusty, needing replacement. Front undercarriage splash shields were cracked. Exhaust system was loose due to missing bolts. Total costs of needed repairs, about $1,500. Alan's response: "What do you expect for $20,000?" No joke. When I told manager, he said they'd take the car back to BMW Peabody. BMW Peabody told them that the brakes were within spec, (I believe that my mechanic got it right, but I don't blame Automall for relying on Peabody BMW re the pads), but that the rotors were rusty, pitted & needed replacement. New pads are typically done along with rotors. Automall opted not to have them do the work. Rust-related issues are not covered under BMW maintenance, so this would have to be paid for by Automall. Warranty & maintenance expire in a few months. BMW Peabody also told me that when they first looked at the car, a couple of weeks before I saw it, they told Automall about the plugged front tire and that it needed to be replaced. Two weeks later, Automall was ready to sell me the car with the unsafe tire that they knew about. Their listing on the car says it has premium sound system and premium wheels. Not true, and they know it, as a VIN search lists the car's options. It has standard wheels & sound. I ran the VIN specs myself. I repeatedly asked Alan to provide them to me and he ignored the requests. Do not buy from them without taking the car for an independent inspection. Do not trust their listing of options/condition, or anything Automall tells you.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Out of State buyers.. Be aware !!

I recently bought Audi A6 from them. My sales rep was Jay (Jon). Flew out to test drive from Austin, TX. Noticed that the car had paint job done front and back. Jay said he was not aware of that - Sales person doesnt know about what he was selling, this was bad. Drove the car and the ride was actually quite good. Took it to the Audi dealer and got inspected. The dealer said AC was not working and there was a nail in one of the tires- This seems to be common problem with them by reading reviews. I decided not to buy. A/C problem can be a huge issue in Texas. A couple of days later Jay called me and said the A/C was a sensor issue, not more than that. I called the dealer and verified. Because the price of the car was so low, I decide to buy. So bad experience starts from the moment I decided to buy, All of them from the dealer stopped providing me service. I constantly had to email, call and leave a message. Response was so slow and they seemed not to care much since the car was paid already. Spent more than 30K and no service and follow up wore me out really bad. Randy Cunha, Business Manager at the shop was a joke. I had sent him about 6 emails not even a single reply. Had to call him twice to talk to him every time. He will send you an email if he has something he needs. After 3 weeks I paid and couldn't confirm pick up of the car by a shipping company, I had to call their corporate office, Dadham Automall and talked to Judy. She was really nice and took care of everything. All I needed was follow ups and communication. By the way, Jay promised me with two new tires but I got just one replaced and he told me my was picked up on Monday but it was actually picked up on Tuesday. I just don't understand why he had to lie. The lie will not cover up anything but it will make customer experience even worse. so I wired all the money on Feb 6th and I received the car on March 3rd. A month without what's going on with the car you purchased... I thought I was really patient with this one. Just be aware this may not be your experience but it could happen to you. At least you have Judy's name who can help you. Oh... Inspection failed due to emission sensors were not ready, The battery was disconnected with some reason. I had to drive about 60 miles for the drive cycle completion. Now car seems to be ok.

They tried to sell me a car without a title. They could't ever get the title and it took prying to find out that that was the hold up. They kept "yesing" me to death about getting my registration and it took showing up there to finally get the truth in the place in Norwood. The people in Peabody are xxxx and try to screw you!! Stay away!! This place is highly fraudulent!! They tried to sell me a car that had many issues and wouldn't stand by it!! They then put me in a rental car that they advised was on them and then they tried to force me to pay for it!!!! STAY AWAY OR PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!! They say that used car dealers are xxxx and Automall in Peabody proved it tenfold!!!!!

Saved $2k - then $5k in repairs

I won’t be back. I worked with Jay and if he went to Mercedes I would buy another car from him. As a sales rep he was easy to deal with. A bit of back and forth / long negotiation but that is expected with small margins. Week 1: You start to realize how many little things are broken. For me it was the memory seat function. None of the seat controls worked and the car had to be left at Mercedes to be fixed. Also noticed more “annoying issues” Minor crack in a reflector, front headlight cracked. Week 2: Entire Airmatic system in the back gave out and had to be replaced. The dealer said he’d seen bad systems but never a complete blow out like this. Week 3: The trunk auto open and close button stopped working and the car thought the trunk was open even when it was closed. Rear view camera stopped working because of this. Had this car not been under Mercedes warranty we are talking about some major repairs in the first 3 weeks. At least $5k+. The warranty is up in 3K miles and I am very worried. I am going to purchase the 3rd party warranty Mercedes offers. Once you purchase out of network MB will not let you extend the MB warranty. (avoid the one sold by Automall – terrible reviews). I would suggest going to the manufacturer (Mercedes, BMW etc) and paying the extra $2-3K up front for a better car and avoid the headaches.

Great experience at AutoMall Collection

I bought a Chrysler 300 limited, from Automall Collection the other day and my experience was outstanding from from the beginning to the end. I called on Sunday to ask about the car and spoke to the sales representative Joe T. He was very informative and end easy to deal with, he directed me to the spot one their website where I could fill out a credit application. He responded back to me within 5 minutes. I drove down the next morning to take a look, I received a call from Joe on the way down to see if I needed any help finding the dealership. The car looked brand new just like the rest of the lot, so we got right to the minamal paper work and I would say no more then a half hour and I was on the road. There is no question that I will be bringing my buisness back to The AutoMall Collection, the staff is professional but you also feel very comfortable dealing with them. AMAZING. I've been shopping for a car for about a year now, and have had not so pleasant experiences with dealerships. Auto mall is by far the best dealer I have been to, quality wise, price wise, and service wise. I never felt pressured or stressed, and I was quite intimidated showing up to such a high end dealer with my little trade in (Mitsubishi Lancer). They made me feel extremely comfortable and gave me top dollar for my trade (more than any other dealer has offered me) and were willing to work with me if my new car payments were still out of reach. I arrived to the dealer at 11:45am with two car options in mind, left the dealer by 2pm with my new BMW. I would recommend them to everybody, thank you so much Joel!

I've been shopping for a used car for eight months now. Automall Collection was by far the best dealer I have dealt with in this process in both quality of vehicles and their professionalism. The whole buying experience was very friendly in a no pressure atmosphere. Special thanks to Sales Representative Nick who went over and above in giving me everything I could of asked for in this deal and babysitting all of my paperwork till the end. Bottom line I find Automall Collection a place with high-end cars and high-end service. I would certainly refer this dealer to anyone looking for a great car and an excellent deal!

Auto Mall Collection is the only place to Go for Luxury Cars

Look no further if you are seeking a luxury car at a great price with absolutely ZERO pressure....Auto Mall Collection is the only place to go! In the past, I have purchased cars exclusively at auctions and stayed clear of dealerships. I saw the luxury cars on the the lot of Auto Mall Collection and thought I would take a chance....what a great decision! I walked into Auto Mall Collection and was greeted by Joel. I told him I was looking for a BMW 535xi that was a few years old, low mileage (35-40 miles), one owner, and no accidents. Joel stated they did not have that car out on the lot in Peabody, however, he brought me over to speak with John, the Manager, and John went online to see if their Dedham, MA location had a car that met my requirements. John informed me they had a car in Dedham (2013 BMW535xi 36,000 miles and one year left on the BMW Manufacturer's Warranty) and they would be glad to bring it up to Peabody for me to test drive the car. I test drove it with Joel and the car ran beautifully, however, I noticed the front rotors and pads needed to be replaced. Without hesitation, Joel said we will replace those for you. I moved forward with purchasing the car and then brought the car to my mechanic to have him check out the car. He gave me the thumbs up on the car and congratulated me on purchasing a great car. Joel is the ultimate professional; knowledgeable, friendly, straight forward, not pushy at all and great on follow-through. He is very thorough and kept me apprised throughout the process (while new rotors and brake pads were being installed, they obtained new plates, registration etc.). The process did not feel like a process at all as things could not have gone more smoothly. I highly recommend AutoMall Collections in Peabody as the only place to go to purchase a luxury car.
