Annoying Customer service

I had the most pathetic experience at BMW Fremont. For starters, I dont think they are interested in Service at all, and only want to sell cars and shoo the customers away. I made a service appointment at 10 AM with request for loaners a week back, when I reached, they made me wait for 30 mins to have someone assist me. Question - If you anyway are planning to make the customer wait, why ask for an appointment? Second Part - Nick Lal, Service manager, tells me car will be ready in 4 hours and for the loaner they have tie up with Entreprise rental so they will drop me Entreprise with everything already booked for me to pick up the loaner. I am like fine, its matter for 4 hours for service, so its ok, they must have gone short of loaners. I reach Entreprise, they made me wait 45 mins again to give me a car a Stinking basic Subaru Impreza. Question - If BMW takes pride in BMW difference and customer service, typing up with Entreprise for loaners, dont you guys have brains to atleast chalk out a smoother process, since BMW is giving business to Entreprise. Whoever in your management came up with the idea of putting your customers in front of Entreprise salesman without training them the BMW customer service standards. Third Part - At 3PM, I am still waiting for Nick Lal's call, (seems he has forgotten his job to follow up and inform). I give him a call back at 3:10 PM, now he says BMW service team did not find time to look into the car, so it might take 2 days for car service to complete. Question - From 5 hours my car is just at your service centre with no one even started work on it, why didn't you guys call me 1-2 hours into drop in time and inform me, why wait until the customer calls back. Is this the BMW difference? Question - 4 hours to 2 days? difference in effort estimation is so huge without even touching the car. Are you guys even trained? or interested to be in service? I picked up my car immediately and did'nt want to leave it for 2 days under ill trained mechanics or service managers. I don't recommend BMW Fremont for neither Sales(leasing the car wasnt great too) or Service, You will end up wasting your time and money if you give your car to them

Horrific experience with their service department

If I could give it a zero I would. I had a horrific experience with the service adviser “John”. He is rude and unprofessional. I never felt so humiliated and mistreated in my life before comparing to my recent experience with John. My husband took the vehicle in 2 weeks ago after I heard a grinding noise whenever I was slowing down or stopped the car. John took our case and tested drive the car. We even played the noises that we had recorded to John to assist him for the diagnosis. After a while, John told my husband the car was totally fine. The noise was caused by the engine fan due to the hot weather. We brought the car back and continually drove for another 3 days. I found the frequency of the noises was getting higher and higher and the noises started to kick in even when I was driving in the normal or high speed. One evening, after I left the office the car was completely broke down while I was driving. Luckily when that happened I was already off the freeway so I was able to pull over safely on the road side and waited for the tow truck in the 85 degree heat to tow my car back to my house. The next morning we called the tow truck again to drop off our car at BMW Fremont. Again, “John” was assigned to assist us. After the technician conducted another diagnosis and John proceeded to quote us over the phone at $2150 for the parts and labor. According to John, he already gave us some discounts to cover the rental car since they had no courtesy car available so we need to get a rental car at Enterprises by ourselves first. Since I was very upset about the dangerous situation I was put into the day before, I told John I deserve a good gesture and whether he can do the job at $2000 even. Honestly I felt BMW Fremont is liable in certain ways since they failed to detect the problems when we brought in our car the first time. The mishandling not only potentially caused further damages to my car but also put my life at risk, since I could get killed if the car broke down on the busies freeway in Silicon Valley! You cannot believe John’s reactions to my statement – not only he kept interrupting my talks but also he started to yell at me loudly. He told me I have two options – either to take the offer as is or otherwise he is going to raise the quote to $2500. He also told me he already did me a big favor and gave me a so called “discount”. He also pointed out the repair job does cost money and I shouldn’t expect them to do it free… Since John kept shouting at me over the phone, I felt so devastating and I felt I cannot continue the conversation with him any longer. I gave the phone back to my husband. At the end John finally soften his attitude and came to an agreement with my husband to reduce the quote to $2000 after we told him we’ll get another repair shop to do the job. Because we need the car badly so we decided to proceed with the repairs at BMW Fremont. However, I have to say this awful and horrified experience made me extremely upset and frustrated. It made me set up my mind our next vehicle won’t be a BMW even though you can check our track record that we had been loyal BMW customers since 1996. I’m also making my family and friends aware of the extremely rude treatment and poor service that BMW Fremont had provided. I felt BMW Fremont doesn’t care about customers anymore. Otherwise, how can the service department allows the customer being treated so disrespectfully and unprofessionally?

Clueless Service Department

I made an appointment THREE weeks ago to have roof rails put on my new BMW I purchased at this dealership. I get to my appointment at 10am, and am told they're running behind. After waiting 35 minutes I ask what is happening, and they say there is still one person ahead of me. After 50 minutes a service person finally calls my name. She says she has to check on the part. Guess what?? They don't have the part!! Seriously?!? I have now wasted 55 minutes to hear they can't help me today. I am LIVID. I realize it is not the service person's fault, but a complete lack of organization at this dealership. The head of the service department is standing next to me, and hears this mess. She did not apologize, or even make eye contact with me. Between driving to and from, and wasting one hour here, I am ANGRY. I would not suggest using this BMW service department

They are getting more ridiculous

3 weeks ago I got a letter from BMW of Fremont service, stating my BMW 328d is subject to recall and I need to bring my car in for correction action. I reserved service time on last Saturday morning, when I met the worker there they told me they can do nothing about it now since BMW don't have any solution for this recall problem yet - then why ask me to bring my car in for "correction action". It's getting more ridiculous and crazy now: today I get another letter from BMW of Fremont asking me to bring my BMW 328d in for same recall "correction action". I am seriously think Fremont BMW of Fremont is out of their mind, and now understand why BMW of Stevens Creek is always busy and nobody in BMW of Fremont - seems all customers figured out they are in no place to help anyone but make them miserable!!!

Awful experience. Rude Service.

It was awful experience Very Rude Service, which gives wrong information. I and my wife have started search for a some used not-expensive car and owe have found one variant in this dealership. After short test-drive seller decided to offer a finance solution. We were not ready to buy car right now, because we just started to search the car, that's I VERIFIED FEW times, that it will not be a hard inquiry for me credit score. Seller told me that it will soft inquiry and i should not care about that. Few minutes I have received a notification about hard inquiry from their dealership. When we tried to find out why this situation, their finance manager Aulakh Rashpal talked very rude with us. He told me, that I am too young and I should not care about credit score. I think it was very inappropriate. After that BMW service told that they will no do anything in this situation, we have left this pace in very bad mood just before Christmas.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Hard to work with

Bought a 2014 X1 from them with extended warranty and extended maintenance. Fast forward 5 years and I love the car and want to upgrade to an x5. They quoted me a trade-In price 5k under kbb. They can’t tell me how much is the prorated amount left on my warranty. 2 weeks of chasing finance with no help. They say that they can only tell me when I cancel it. I just need to know the value left so I can make an educated decision about when to purchase the new car. Truly not a good sales experience.

Recently went to the dealership thinking I was ready to move forward on an X1. Unfortunately, no one in the Bay Area can find all of the specs I'm looking for. I took up a LOT of Milisa's time the other day. She was very nice, very transparent, and very patient. Even when I finally decided against the car late on a Friday night, she assured me I had not wasted her time and not to worry. I can't imagine having a nicer, more reasonable dealer to buy from and I wish I had wanted the car!

The dealer said I need a tire replacement, I went to reputable tire shop and they found no problem what so ever. Fremont BMW is lying and pushing unnecessary to consumer.

Air Conditioner Repair - Worst Experience

Back in July 2018, I brought my 2013 BMW 535i to BMW of Fremont Service in because the AC was not working. They conducted a diagnosis and proceeded to quote me over $2,000 for a radiator. I called to another repair shop and they quoted $500.00. I understand there is a premium for OEM however 4 times the cost? I highly recommend anyone who is at the BMW Service center to make 1 phone call to a BWM repair shop. You will be surprised. The people at BMW of Fremont overcharge, everyone.

Horrible Experience with Finance Group

I purchased a used Subaru Legacy from BMW Fremont on December 23, 2017 for my daughter. Since she was going to be living out of state at college I decided to purchase an extended warranty for $3,490. Yuriy Lavor was the finance representative. I was told by him that this was absolutely refundable as long as I let them know to refund it by December 28, 2017. Also, while I could have paid cash for the entire car, since the financing rate was so low, I decided to finance a portion of the purchase price. I was told at the time of purchase that if I decided not to proceed with the warranty, then it would reduce the principal by that same amount. The same evening I purchased the car I went to the Subaru dealership around the corner from BMW Fremont. I was able to purchase a better warranty directly from them for $2,500. So that same evening (December 23rd) I informed BMW (via message and email) that I had purchased the warranty from Subaru and if they couldn't beat the price then to refund the amount. Since they did not confirm with a price to beat it, I again reminded them December 27th to refund the amount. Yuriy Lavor responded via email on December 27 that he would "get the cancellation of the policy today". He never did. January 4th he responded via email saying that he had been very busy and was just then sending me the cancellation form. I completed it, scanned it and emailed it back January 5th. I received an email from him saying "Thank you, the money for the warranty will go to the bank you will be credited 3490.00 towards total amount financed, so your final invoice will be 11054.67 pus interested." Keep in mind this was before the first payment was due to SafeAmerica (the credit source arranged by BMW Fremont), so if they had refunded properly at that time there wouldn't have been further complications. This seemed cut and dry, but it is now March 20th and this still hasn't occurred, even after my talking to Yuriy's supervisor Sean on the phone (and sending him the documents via email again) on January 22nd who only at that time told me it could take a few weeks to process. Since then, even after more repeated attempts and even informing BMW I would be submitting this to the BBB, no one contacted me to confirm resolution. I have now submitted the claim to BBB and we will see what happens. Conclusion: I was fine with the purchase price of the auto itself, but don't believe anything they verbally convey and don't expect them to be responsive to even clear cut issues with a documented paper trail.

They lie about service...READ the DETAILS!

Future customers of BMW of Fremont CA and BMW of North America BEWARE!! I had a horrific experience with the service center. I spent an entire day to do a wheel alignment on my 2016 328 vehicle - incidentally I purchased my car from this dealership. They lied about almost everything - including 'customer refused recommended inspections' (now why would I do that?). The worst was they LIED about when the car was in and when the car left their center - they recorded it differently on the hard copy they provided for me (drop-off and pick-up of car on the same day - this was accurate but lied on the digital copy I requested - noting it was a day later!! I have all of the copies and can sue them for lying. I have had several conversations with Toby Brown - he is the most unprofessional manager and have all the copies of emails and voicemails. I also Called and have had several emails and conversations with BMW of North America regarding my experience but they did nothing except letting me know that they are handling it 'internally' (whatever that's supposed to mean) - customer service of BMW of NA is equally worse. You would think a luxury vehicle will at least have great customer service but that is NOT the case. I've been a loyal BMW customer since 1997 and after my recent experience I'm uncertain if my next vehicle will be a BMW. I'm already making my family and friends aware of the extremely poor service that BMW of NA and BMW of Fremont CA provide.

Horrific service experience These people like to give you the run around they are not proactive they will not stand behind BMW'S maintenance bumper to bumper service plan. they talk about effecting their over head what about affecting my time and schedule. why should I be punished for your incompetency.Word of Mouth will catch up to you!!!!

Unprofessional

I took the car in for blue smoke coming out of the exhaust. Got a bill for 28k. Keep in mind that was my only problem. I told them I didn't want to proceed with the work. On my way home, highway patrol pulled me over because he felt my engine was about to catch fire, smoke was coming out from the front of the car now too!! How did my car get worse without getting any work done?? To make the situation more interesting, the service adviser text me to ask me if I was single lol!!!! While I was transfering my things from my car to their loaners the service adviser was whispering things about me to his loaner car manager, it was very apparent. My car is owned only by me, but my father's name seems to attactched to my account. He has never had a BMW. I asked Justin 4 times to change this, he finally did, I wouldn't leave his office until the simplest job was done. Absolutely unprofessional

Service is worst in my whole life

It hold my car for about two weeks for changing two tires and alignment. They keep gave me the excuse they need another day to hold the car. The following is their execute. 1. I can't found your car that technical might be test drive. 2. I want to rerun the alignment because it is not within spec. We do not feel conformable for you to have a car. we will perform one more alignment. 3. We forgot to order another side of arm bushing . 4. arm bushing just come in we need tomorrow to install it. 5. ... 6... on and on.

I want to keep this review short and simple. The used cars are cheaper because they are absolutely disgusting. There is very little integrity here. Ali is just about the most useless salesman I have ever met. How he has a job is simply a representation of the morality of this place. Bought: 2014 228i M-sport. Cheaper than KBB? Yes. Dented and disgusting inside? Yes. Did Ali blatantly lie 12 times during our test drive? Yes (actually hilarious at how bad he was at his job). Did Ali allow the car to be sold with wheel locks on it, despite having no keys for them? Yes. Did Ali say we would be reimbursed $100 for paying BMW San Rafael to break the wheel locks in order to Well, 3 months later and still waiting for a $100 check from Wally, the manager. Heck I'm still waiting for him to even pick up the phone. If I was that bad at my job, be it communicating or lying, I would have been fired ages ago. If you buy a car there, just understand that these aren't good people. Does it matter? Maybe, maybe not. We still got a great deal. Good luck with these sleezy people if you do decided to buy from them.
