Dishonest Dealership

Less than 2 weeks ago we bought a truck from Baxter. This week we got a flat tire, went to go buy a new one. Turns out the tires were too small for the truck. We have called to see if there was any way they would make this right and have yet to receive a call back. This place is full of dishonest salesmen who do not care about the product they are selling or the customers they are selling to. They have lost us as customers forever. We will also be sharing our experience with our friends and family so they do not share the same bad experience as we did.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Car buying experience

Was there on Saturday to purchase a new vehicle. I primarily dealt with Eric Collins - the Internet Sales Manager. Prior to even stopping into the dealership he and I were able to focus in on the type of vehicle, price range and agreed upon financing structure. Eric was very knowledgeable and had a real appreciation for my time, he made the whole process that much easier. Also I might add the F&I associates were very very good. Overall great experience, I will be back again.

Unhappy 1st time lease deal

I came in on 02-28-19 browsing for high end Jeep lease deals. I went in looking for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. My sales guy said high end jeeps don’t have appealing lease deals, but told me I could get a better deal out of the. Grand Cherokee Laredo. I gave my desired payment amount and max amount for my down payment and they came back with numbers within $50 of where I wanted my monthly payment. Since it was well after 11 PM, I came in the next day, March 1, to complete my paperwork. New lease deals were not yet online, however the same vehicle I just leased was on special for $3299 down at signing, $271/Mo with $37K MSRP. My credit score was 857, so that wasn’t an issue. My lease deal was $4300 down with $2798 trade in allowance. For $373 / month $33K MSRP. Very crappy deal. At least my sales guy told me about other vehicles with better lease deals, but finance manager just wanted the month end sale at my expense. At least I got a nice Jeep.

Don't expect anything after purchase

I bought a new truck, traded in a lease,rolled over 4000.00, put 5000.00 down. Sale went pretty smooth. I got the extended warranty, and a few extras. I had the truck for 3 days and things were changing at my workplace which would have made it tough to make the payment. I talked with the finance guy first who said it would be tough to take back the truck and get me into something more affordable. I said I would settle for giving back the new truck for something pre-owned and certified,, he said it was possible and he would get on it. I got a call from him later that day and he said he was really hopeful and that it was not the first time this has happened and he's done this before. Talked with my salesman about it and he said he was on it too. Later that day I got a call from the sales manager who got involved, told him that I was hoping to get something cheaper, or even go into a lease if I had too. He said, and I quote,, no there wouldnt be any problem at all getting me into something that I would be happy with. Next I had a brief texting conversation with my original salesman and was basically told that they looked into it and realistically they couldn't find any way to help me with this. I know that I signed the papers,, but it is amazing how a brand new vehicle has lost so much value after 150 miles, that this dealership couldn't be honorable enough to take it back, even when I was willing to go pre owned, or switch to a lease. It's pretty sickening to think how callous this situation is turning out. I definitely have about 1437 people that I work with,, that will definitely get a heads up from me on not to go there. Not to mention social media and it's endless audience... I also think it's funny how at the end of these bad reviews there's the sorry for your bad experience, just give us a call BS. Trust me,, they aren't in the business of helping people, once you sign those papers.

Great Experience

I’ve been looking for a new vehicle for awhile. Christian Walter helped me when I wanted to look at a used (more like new) vehicle. He was very responsive, answered all my questions, friendly and helped make my purchase easy. I would definitely recommend Christian and Baxter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Omaha!

They treat you like an idiot....

Simple oil change, bacter sells fords, chevy , dodge and promote have your vehicle serviced at any of our dealers. Bought my ford new from them had issues having my son take it in for caliper hanging up they told him nothing was wrong slight steering wobble normal. I take it in ask them to explaine they fixed everything. Took it in for service another time argue im rotating my tires to much then afterbrotating dont take time to flash sensors so tires are in correct spot. Just had our sebring serviced told them check antifreez got the “ sir we do multi point inspection we got u covered” get it back got home had no heat i was gallon low on antifreez.... just took my ford to dodge store and looked at me like i was xxxxxxxx asked 3 time “ sir do you want the ford store?” 3 times i told them i just need oil changed you do that here on fords as well ? Which answer to me was yes we do. But are you sure you are in the right place ........ really???? xxx Dodge plastered everywhere and you treat me like an idiot. I left abruptly backed right out the service bay. Manager i called was a complete dick. Im done with Baxter.. there only concern was they didnt appreciate how i left. Not why a 10 year customer got so upset....

Do not waste your time.

I have had 3 bad experiences with this dealership over the years. I won’t waste my time ever again. 1. Spoke with salesperson giving him the type of vehicle I was looking for which included 4x4 or AWD. I was not in a rush but casually looking. About a week later they called me with good news. We made the drive out to Baxter & they could not find the car saying it was sold. They wasted my time and wanted to show me something else that did NOT meet my request because it was FWD!. 2. Spoke to a salesperson over the phone. I asked if they would price match another dealers price for a vehicle I found in Kansas. I sent the link with the vehicle. They said they would absolutely price match. A few hours later Baxter emailed the information on the vehicle whick was higher in price and less features. Then the salesmen had the nerve to ask...what do I need to earn your business? 3. I received a post card from Baxter that my vehicle was in high demand and they were looking for trades. At the time I had a Chrysler Aspen. I took the bait & had them look at the vehicle. What a waste of time, after an hour of games they offered me $2400. I left and ultimately sold the truck on Craigslist for $8000.

Shopping for new vehicle

My wife and I were looking to buy a new truck and wanted to give Ram the first opportunity. I can say I was extremely disappointed when we walked the lot and then the showroom floor this evening and was never helped or even greeted by the sales staff. I guess Woodhouse will start to get our business. Unfortunate because we have bought and leased multiple vehicles from Baxter. I guess the customer is not the top concern for Baxter.

Worst dealer I have ever felt with purchased a car from was not satisfied went back asked for a trade they said sure how does a car loose 5 grand in value in 6 days and on top of that they wanted 3k more down payment what a joke of a dealer don’t buy there anyone be smart

Noah always keeping me informed of deals

It just so happened the in the last week my sisters car blew up, she is a single mother of 3 and didnt have the funds, noah called me to say he has a recent trade. He brought the car down to my business for me to see it and test drive, i gave home the money he did everything for me at dealership so i didnt have to leave my business. He went above and beyond! Thank you noah!!! My sister loves the car!!

Three days later...

Made an appointment to have a Dodge Stratus looked at on a Wednesday at 9 am. Got call at about 5 pm saying they wouldn't be able to get to it until thursday. No big deal. Thursday at 5pm haven;t heard anything so I decide to call them. Says can't get to it until Friday morning. I made an appointment because I had weekend travel plans and figured (with an appointment) it would have been done being looked at by at least the weekend. They weren't even repairing anything, just diagnosing problem. Took them three days, so I expressed my thoughts to my advisor, Bill Alvarez, about not paying for diagnosis. TOld me there was nothing he could do about that. Later agreed to 50 dollar coupon. When my girlfriend went to pick up her car, they tried making her pay full price until I stopped what I was doing and sent her screenshots of conversation with Bill. After they saw that, they refused to let her car go as there was no cashier, even though they had told me we could pick car up until 8 pm. She ended up not paying anything. I asked her to get a copy of diagnosis and they flat out refused. Then I texted Bill again and asked if I could get that and he too, refused that simple request. Finally on Monday, BIll texts asking for my email so he can send me diagnosis. Ended up with what we needed and a huge discount, but the overall experience should NOT have been this much of a headache. WIll not step foot at your dealership ever again.

New Car/ Service

We bought our third car from this dealership about four months ago. Our salesman was Carl and we had a great experience. I waited a bit to write a review to see how the after purchase experience panned our. Carl is the only salesman who actually followed up with me a couple times after the purchase to make sure everything was still good with the car. Our service experience has been great. Mike is our service rep and has always gone out of his way to provide loaner cars when needed and the extra mike to make sure everything is completed as needed. I would recommend both Carl for sales and Mike for service.

I called about 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan with 5200 miles they had advertised. They had it all ready to go when I got there. Warmed up and in the garage. We looked it over with the salesman and then out for the drive as they looked over our trade. We made the deal with the sales manager and salesman, shook hands and filled out the stuff for our financing. All good. Then bam, SORRY if you want that used van it will be $2000 more. That one looks the same as the otherone and it also has 5200 miles but its $2000 more. "You can leave mad but I don't want you to hate us" but we need $2000 more than the deal you just made and shook hands on. Crappy, what ever happened to shaking hands and a man's word. Stand behind your deal. Sketchy. If I would have read the reviews from the last week or two I would not have even went there. Looks like they have had a rough couple weeks. Stupid me.

Awful sales managers

I bought a truck with tint on it and befor i got a chance the salesman put the intransit on the back window so when i started to take it off the tint came off called baxter and the used car manager rick told me they would peel it off for free. Then i decided to go to the store itself and show them the problem andd they said they would fix it. I took it in for the appointment and when they finished i found all sorts of problems with it theres bubbles every where and its the wrong tint rick the used car manager told me it was free what should i expect and then me there was nothing that could be done

Nothing but problems

On June 20th 2017 I bought a 2013 nissian rogue. I was so excited thought got a great deal then the next day was driving heard a loud squeal sound let dealership know then took me nearly a week to get looked at. Took it in found out they overlooked that it had bad alternator. So they fixed it no charge but it took them 12 days to get this done never once was I called updated I had to call them. So they worked with me so I could get new car. Found a nice jeep that took some where to get looked at then they told me I must paye taxes and title both cars was hesitant at first but they reassured me it only be 700 dollars for both cars. So went in signed papers found out no it be 1100 for bother cars so they payed difference. Now it is July 18th and I called DMV to pay taxes on car I no longer own that they have already posted on there site to sell. Well DMV said paper work still not there and it be 950 for just one car. So I was told wrong yet again on top that if I still had car I'd end up paying a fine if it not there by 20th. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP. They tell you one thing and do another. Do not buy here

Terrible

Back in July I tried to trade my 15 ram 1500 for a 16 charger r/t I had the car for a month went to get plates the day I was going to get plates I get a call back from chad stating my loan wasn't approved, I brought the car back and tried working with Cedric to find something different Cedric then pushed me off to eric collins, eric didn't help out what so ever, I then was pushed if from him to another sales man to find out that sales person could help out either in another words don't ever by from this dealership they are a joke!

false advertisement

I found a vehicle I was interested in on their website the price was 19,930. i took the 50 minute drive to baxter sat down with them and they would not honor their online price. the price went from 19,930 to 24,650. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this dealership. complete waste of my day! although the I do have to add that my sales guy showing me the vehicle was great!

Deteriorating car purchase experience

We have been purchasing and leasing vehicles from Baxter Chrysler Jeep in Omaha for years. The service department has been very good over the years, however in recent years we have experienced some issues related to the sales and finance departments which have been resolved, but should never have been an issue if managed correctly. The most recent experience has been the worst of all and could if not resolved today will affect our credit score, not Baxter's, because of slow turnaround time by the Baxter finance dept. to Chrysler Capital and no response to my calls. After a visit to the Baxter dealership today this will be the last car purchase we will have with this dealership.
