Totally untrustworthy

I would not recommend buying a vehicle here or having any work done on your car here. I bought a vehicle here in March of last year- came back a year later for an inspection and they failed it for ball joints (pretty pathetic when your car fails its first inspection after purchasing it). I told them I wasnt having that repair done, and took it somewhere else (after driving around 2 months uninspected thinking I needed repairs done). The first place I took it inspected it without question.... Curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to verify the integrity of the dealership I bought it from so I scheduled an appointment at a repair shop asking them specifically to look at my ball joints. I wasn't surprised when they called and said my ball joints were in perfect condition. This is the third bad experience I've had since buying from them, and I won't be going back. Totally untrustworthy- they'll tell you that you need repairs that you don't actually need costing you hundreds of dollars. Save yourself some money and take your car to someone with morals. **Update** Since posting this Bob, the service manager reached out to me. He was very kind and appologetic about my experience. He gave me coupons to come in for oil changes so I can build trust and have a better experience, and also took care of a repair I needed after this at no cost (door handle stopped working). He fit me in for this repair last minute and was able to complete it all during my lunch break (1 hour). My visit today was definitely better than my last.

Sunroof and detail

Bait,and switch

It has taken me several months to compose this letter,as I once had high praise for the Bill Dodge Auto Gr,but now that has changed. My family has purchased three cars from Bill Dodge,and infact I brought my daughter there,and she bought a car. It seems however,that times have changed. I attempted to trade in my 2013 Kia Sorento,but was intentionaly mislead,by a salesman pushing a lease,and if I agreed,i would end up in lease cost 26k+-,for a base 18 kia/or 700 a month,while telling me,i would reduce my current monthly of $292...Was he nuts or did he think I was nuts? So no deal! Some weeks later I went to their other Kia dealer ship in Saco,by phone,and was told,i could buy a 2018 AWD Kia/base model,for 27k,and for my ease,i would receive this deal at the Westbrook store.She also told me,as I insisted,that information about the deal would be sent to the sales mgr there.I also said,i did not want to make the roundtrip of two hours,if this was not the deal.She insisted I would be taken care of,and the price would be the same! So come Monday I go to B.D,Kia in Westbrook,and when I asked if in fact they had been contacted,and the numbers etc were told to them..Surprize on their faces,and she should have never told you that,but we can do something for you at about 32K...Oh great just 6k more. I left the sales mgr office,after some 5hrs of BS,plus the two hour round trip..They did not even offer to compensate me for say gas,or an oil change. I am very upset with a company,especially since I was a customer since 1998,and ready to buy a fourth car from them...Beware the sweet talk..Wm Mosca

Called about our Sorento having problems with the back up camera in the morning. We were able to have it seen in the early afternoon. Upon arrival, Renee Rodriguez took care of everything. What a great addition to Saco Kia. She understands customer service and went over top in this area. Please make sure you tell her that her service is very much appreciated and look forward to having the Serento serviced again by her. Awesome service, Renee!

I brought my 13 optima in for a recall and some other repairs after having a bad experience at another Kia dealer. I dealt with Steve C in service. I did not have an appointment I just dropped it off after hours with a note expecting it to be a few days before I heard anything. Steve got my car in promptly, addressed the recall and other repairs very quickly. Steve was very friendly, and helped me with all of my needs and turned my bad experience at another dealer into a excellent one. I highly recommend brining your Kia to Bill Dodge Saco and working with Steve.

Fantastic Customer Service

I recently took my wife's Sorrento or service. I have a 3rd party extended warranty and the 2 service advisors (Dave and Steve) did all the leg work to find out what was covered and let me know what my expense would be. They made the experience seamless pleasant. I have found this service dept to always be exemplary but they even managed to exceed all expectations today. Thank-you Again, Dale Duncan

They didn't have to help - but they did

The title really is what it is about. I looked high and low for an SUV that was a stick shift but had power windows and locks. I stumbled upon this vehicle and loved it. I had to have it. I bought a 2011 Kia Sorento used at another reputable dealership, and purchased an extended warranty through my bank. The warranty through my bank stated clutches were covered. Great! Where do I sign? Low and behold, 8 months into owning this vehicle and the clutch goes. It had no warning signs which was the craziest part, and I have driven sticks for years and felt bad clutches. I had it towed to Kia in Saco instead of the dealership I bought it from (I got it at a Subaru dealership and they always out sourced it to Kia to be fixed so I figured I'd save them the hassle and have it towed to Saco). After all the diagnostics come to find out it was going to be $3700 to fix it. No problem, I'll call my warranty company and see what we can do. The warranty company said no. Even though I took a copy of my contract down to show them. Yes, clutches are covered. But only in automatics. I was irate, who affiliates a clutch with an automatic? 99% of people who are not mechanics. I contacted the dealership I bought it from since I had a few issues when I first got it and they were great about helping me. They said because it was already towed to Saco there was nothing they could do. Here I am, single mom feeling like I'm getting screwed from every single angle. And $3700 on a vehicle I've only owned for 8 months?! The dealership I bought it from did offer to help with $500, and they did. Kia Saco, even though the vehicle was not one they sold, they really felt for my situation and helped - a lot. Patrick one of the managers and Steve in service went Above and Beyond and fought for me. After everything was said and done I was responsible for $1800. Which is a major savings to most - even more to a single mom. I am so appreciative of their help and all those involved. Especially the mechanic Chris who made my car feel brand new again. My next vehicle will be a brand new Kia, and I can tell you where I'm going. Right down to Saco. They understand we are all human. 👏👏

DON'T GET SERVICE HERE!!

DON'T GET SERVICE HERE!! They charge you through the teeth for things that they lied to you about charging you for! Also watch out for the 10% FEE they ADD to ALL service repairs! (Even if they didn't repair anything!) They make up bogus claims about the reason why something is wrong with your car. Their reasons are illogical and make no sense! They also go on to tell you that what was told to you is not what that person actually said when they were not even there! Find another KIA dealer!!!

Dealership going down hill !!

If you purchase from Bill Dodge, don't expect a response from them if you happen to suffer an issue, because you will end up being the one suffering from their lack of attention to your problem. And apparently calling customers back is not on there list of "To do" responses. This problem starts at the top. Good ole boy Bill Dodge himself. And it's being passed onto his off spring, yeah those two dumb kids doing the dumb commercials (they aren't acting dumb) Genuine idiots like they sound. Anyway, don't expect resolution or repairs till you show them how mad you are. Not worth shopping there

Didn't let me see the vehicle

Last week I went to Bill Dodge Kia in Saco to look at and likely purchase a 2016 Kia Sorento. I was looking at an unlocked Sorento with my husband until Robert Williams came out. Robert walked past both of us and locked the vehicle before even acknowledging that we were standing there. I asked him why he would lock a vehicle I was interested in and his response was short and curt. He said that people are not allowed to view vehicles without a sales person. It would seem to me that the vehicle should have been locked all along if this is their policy. I had a good experience in the past with Bill Dodge. I was comfortable with potentially doing business with Bill Dodge again until I met Robert. I found him to be rude and unwelcoming. As a side note...two days after this experience, I purchased a 2016 Kia Sorento from Charlie's in Augusta.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Most pleasurable car buying experience ever!!

I walked in the dealership, (a 68 year old female) by myself,but I knew what I could afford.Jeffrey Taylor and Dave Soucier, made sure I got a vehicle that FIT my budget and that I was HAPPY with.They are two amazing men,they took the time to explain the whole process,and how all the bells and whistles worked. They assured me that if I ever had any questions they would be there .I left the dealership with my FIRST brand new vehicle and feeling good about having two new friends.
