Lost our business

My wife and I have owned at least one Kia since 2003 and have used the Olathe Kia service department exclusively. I recently took my 2005 Kia Spectra5 in to have the clutch replaced. I was dealing with Julie. This is the first time I have dealt with her. Any other time it was Ryon or Mark. Anyway, She called the next day and said I needed to replace the clutch cable as well so the car would be done Monday. Tuesday they still hadn't called. I called and left a message. No response. Wednesday I went to the dealership and they said the part was back ordered. I called again Friday and left another message. I left the message at 5:40. The shop is supposed to be open until 6pm. Finally Saturday Julie called and said it was done. I asked when paying if they stopped giving courtesy calls. I was only given an apology. The only call I got was when they needed to do more work and collect more money from me. It is VERY disappointing that they threw away 16 years worth of loyalty. If only Ryon or Mark could have handled my service visit. They are always great.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Will not be going back

I have been a customer since purchasing my KIA forte a few years ago. But, sadly I will not be going back after my last visit. In recent months, it has increasingly become very difficult just to schedule an appointment for just a simple oil change because they have outsourced their scheduling to a 3rd party company. There is long hold times, they have trouble finding my account and I often learn that their software is out of date with the actual availability of the shop. Taking 2 or 3 weeks just to get an oil change is not acceptable. They do good work but it has become so frustrating just to make an appointment that I will be going elsewhere.

I would not recommend this dealer.

The people working here seem to really take pride in helping customers. The results we have had from them have been exceptional and we will never purchase a car from another dealership except Olathe Kia.

Rude & unprofessional

Purchased a extended warranty with our used car. Impossible to get fast service. Live 2 hours away appointments mean nothing. Always expect a 2 or 3 hour wait before your car gets any attention. They always set up the appointment 2 weeks away and still you wait 2 hours before they attempt to service it.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Worth the Trip!

After two dealer stops searching for a used car we came to Olathe Kia and found the car that matched our wish list. Patrick was an amazing salesman! Knowlegeable and no pressure. We road tested the car that was immaculate and returned to Patrick to make a deal for the car. Between Patrick and Brent, the Kia manager who was also amazing to work with and we happily drove home to Emporia with our "new" car! Thank you Brent and Patrick!

Service Department cinched the deal!

No pressure salesmen. Allowed us to test drive the vehicle for the whole weekend to really check it out. This is our 5th Kia. The others were purchased elsewhere but after using Olathe Kia's service department, I wanted to give the sales department my business too.

Excellent service department

Service Advisor Ryan was great to work with. He is very honest and when issues arrive he is quick to get a resolution. They still treat our 12 year old, 161,000 miles, 2006 Kia Sportage the same as if were a new car coming in for service. They will suggest the recommended maintenance from Kia but never push it on you.

Bob Millbyer was amazing. I have never had such a great experience with any sales staff. He truly is a helpmate and a consultant, not a high pressure cheesy salesman. He was kind, patient and extraordinarily knowledgeable and very resourceful. He got me perfect results beyond all I asked or imagined possible and worked through obstacles and hurdles as though they were a non-event. Whatever you are paying him, it is not enough. His service is truly priceless.

Loan Department

I asked for a 4-5% interest rate right up front and they stuck me with a 9.5% interest rate. The financing department didn't even go over the paperwork, they just had me signing papers to get me out of there. Don;t trust them.

They had my car diagnosed with a phone call within 1.5 hours of dropping my car off, all repairs were completed by 2:30! Super friendly, I always like dealing with Ryon- Service and Jim Kent-mechanic! I feel super confident coming in and having trusted work done in the shop!! Thank you!

They sold a Lemon car to my daughter

2 minutes ago-Edit My daughter went to buy a vehicle at the beginning of August 2018. She took a lease of a Nissan Murano that only lasted 2 weeks The vehicle overheated. The vehicle has been in the workshop for a month and they have not touched it. My daughter has the progressive track and shows that the vehicle has not been turned on since August 15, 2018 when my daughter left it. They keep saying the mechanics haven't receive the OK from management to work on the vehicle. Is very sad to see this dealership taking advantage of a 20yr old girl. I will tell all my friends to NEVER go there

Overworked and understaffed?

Called in to schedule an appt on 5/4, but nobody picked up and the call went to voicemail. Never heard back. Called back on 5/8 to inquire about that appt I was hoping to get set up for this week. I was told they likely never even listened to the voicemail due to their call volume and workload. No biggie. There are other Kia dealerships in the metro. Just because they're the closest doesn't mean we have to keep getting service here...

I was able to make an appointment for my 1st oil change which was free because I just purchased the kia soul, so that made it even better. Service team was polite and professional.

Sales Department not good

The service department is wonderful and I can't say enough positive things about that department. Unfortunately the sales department treated us terribly when we went to discuss trading our lease in on another car. The salesman was terrible and when we called to discuss this with the sales manager he wouldn't return our calls. Take my advice, go buy your Kia from Shawnee Mission Kia. Tony Koehler treated us wonderful and we will return to him in the future. Olathe Kia, why would you treat loyal customers who have purchased four vehicles from you so badly? Your loss Olathe Kia.

Don’t trust them

I purchased a used car from her 5/2017 a 2013, I have not had this car over a year and now I am having engine troubles, no help. I have bought older cars than this and have not had engine troubles. I will not purchase from her again. I work and need a reliable car!!!
