Confused with everything from the beginning

When I first came in a sales rep greeted me asked what I was doing. Told him I was wanting to look for a car he said okay go into wait room and someone will come get you. Waited a little over 5 mins and the same guy says okay come with me. Then I followed him to his cubical and was confused since I waited as he ended being my sales guy. Didn't know his name so had to introduce myself and asked what his name was. He wanted to ask a few questions, asked about trade in. I said yes and told him the amount he then said oh wow you owe a lot still on it. Finally ended up test driving it, it was a nice car. He then said while test driving you might be better off just selling to a private owner and are you sure your bank will finance all of it? We go back to the office to "crunch" numbers. I already got other quotes from dealers and looked to see what my vehicle was worth. He comes back to me with an insulting price. I asked him to repeat it. I was offended that the number he offered was over 5 grand different then other local dealers. He then gives a half smile saying oh are the others giving you a few hundred more? No sir they are giving me thousands more. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

first time buyer

We bought a Town and Country Van {used} in May 2014. We Had a few issues with it having to bring back multiple times ask Tim. He made sure that everything was taking care of in a timely manner. We did add on extra work that Tim had suggested under the hood. We will see what happens with that so far so good. We live in Davenport and did decide this year to have oil changes done there and keep all future maintenace with Brad Deery. I do want to thank Mike Brokus for selling and Tim in service for taking the best care of us. Please let them know and look forward to seeing you all again, on a good note! Service on my 2010 Ram 2500

Tim Jones from Service took good care of me and my truck recently. During a routine oil change the staff noticed a few other items that needed attention. Tim did a great job of explaining what needed to be done and was able to explain when a generic replacement was good enough and when an upgrade might be beneficial. His initial cost estimate was on the mark which included a combination of recall, warranty and out of pocket costs.

Great Salesman

My wife and I leased a 2016 SRX last week. Salesman Ron Keitel provided excellent service. He answered all of our questions and completely explained the technical aspect of the vehicle. What really impressed me was the fact he stayed after the dealership closed down on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving to make sure we understood everything. He was a true professional. I would recommend him to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle.

very disappointed

My father took my 16 year old to buy a truck he thought buying from a dealership would be best for her first vehicle. Boy was he wrong! He test drove the truck came back said it's cutting out they took it in tweaked it enough to drive it home which was a 45 min drive. When we got it home multiple issues with it! No catalytic converter breaks rusted almost completely out when my brother took a look at it two of the spark plugs barely in. I'm not upset about the extra money spent to make it a safe vehicle I'm more upset that the owner flat out said we don't give a f what's wrong with it your responsiblity! They put my child at risk going 70 miles an hour on highway to get home. Complete disregard for someones life just for a quick Buck! Will never recommend anyone to this place! Thanks to a real mechanic n caring friends the truck is almost completely brand new. Thankfully nothing happened because I'd hold them responsible for my daughters life!

My boyfriend and I went to Brad Deery on a Saturday to look at a few vehicles and trade in his 1999 Chevy Silverado. We worked with Randy Schoop, who was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with the number of vehicles that my boyfriend was interested in. We chose a 2011 Chevy Impala. Randy was a great guy to work with and we would recommend working with him. However, it was when we got to the financing part of the deal where we ran into problems. We worked with Carrie Rowan. Right from the beginning she was unfriendly and hurried through all questions we may have had. We sat there for 2 1/2 hours waiting to get approved and ended up having to leave without the car because we did not have some of the correct paperwork (admittingly our fault). Even though Carrie promised on the phone before we drove down that what we had would be acceptable. We waited until Monday morning to return and went through the same steps. Carrie kept pushing the extended warranty on my boyfriend which would increase his car payment an extra $60 a month, figuring it to add an extra $3,900 on the loan. PLUS, we live in Dubuque and we would have to drive the car 45 miles to Brad Deery to get fixed. When he finally caved, I stood my ground and told her that it was not needed, as the vehicle already came with engine and transmission warranty for up to 100,000 miles. Carrie became very irate that I made him change his mind because, IT WASN'T WORTH IT. She started slamming things on her desk and became VERY unprofessional. She told my boyfriend of 4 years that I wasn't looking out for his best interest. Carrie needs to reevaluate how she treats her clients, because if that would have happened in the beginning then Brad Deery would have lost a sale and future customers to come. We thank Randy for his help and are very pleased with the car.

I have had several experiences at Brad Deery motors, some good, some not so good. My last experience in mid July 2013 will be the last time I ever step foot into Brad Deery Motors. I went to the dealership to look at a 2010 Impala that they had. They had the car listed for $12,500. I went with the intention of trading a 2005 Impala SS. When they presented their offer for my trade ($2000), I got up and left the dealership. I made it very clear that I was not happy with their crappy trade offer. I, at that point was done with that particular deal and with Brad Deery Motors. For some weird reason before I could even get home (approximately 15 mins.), I received a phone call from Jim stating that he had "talked" with some other staff and they all the sudden where willing to come up with an extra $1000 for my trade ($3000). I at that point told Jim over the phone that I was so pissed off with my experience that I was not even going to give any thought to their second trade offer at that time. I received 3 more phone calls that same day, as well as 2 other calls over the next several days from them trying to get me to come back and trade my car. Throughout all of my conversations Jim kept telling me how they (the dealership) were "underwater" on the car that I was looking at (meaning they were selling it for less than they paid for it, REALLY HOW DUMB TO THEY THINK WE ARE!!!), and that they were afraid that they weren't going to get their money back out of my car. Several of the times that Jim called me I ended up hanging up on him because he was less than professional. The last time I spoke with Jim on the phone, I advised him that I was not going to be trading my car, that I was going to keep it and sell it outright, his response was "yeah, go ahead and do that and then come back because without a trade we can make you a better deal". I advised him at that point that I would not be returning to Brad Deery Motors for anything...EVER........

We went in to Brad Deery Motors on Memorial day to buy a new 2013 Dodge Caravan and worked with Ron Keitel. They were very busy, but very organized for how buy they were. We found Ron to be very sharp on the vehicle, able to answer any questions that we had without having to look into it. The price on the van was fair, and the financing was easy to arrange. So far, so good. Would return to purchace another vehicle.

Jim Schiffer my sales person and Kelly the Internet consultant were profession and friendly. Everything was completed (purchase and trade-in ) in a couple of hours. I rated price as good, that was in relation to my trade in. I felt it was low but in the end they did give a little extra. The pricing on the 2013 Grand Cherokee was very aggressive in a good way.

When we arrived, the vehicle we were going to look at was being test driven already. Darren was very helpful to find another vehicle that was similar to what we were looking for. Darren also helped us find an antenna since the one on the vehicle we purchased was too long. Not sure that I got a great deal on my trade, but overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Agreed on lease payment on new Cadillac and was switched to US Bank instead of Ally in the F&I office. When I threatened to leave over the $395 disposition fee charged by US Bank, Charlie promised to fix the deal with Ally the next day. I told them as I was leaving to not process the paperwork because I may have to return the car if they don't do as promised. Well, they indeed made no effort to make the correction to the lease deal and basically told me to piss off. I met the internet salesperson Jacob when I arrived. While he pretended to chat with me he was looking all around the dealership with complete disinterest. I was assigned to the salesperson Darren who had absolutely no product knowledge whatsoever. I provided him with an education about the ATS. He was friendly enough, but he also looked all around as I was speaking. While I won't go so far as to say I was lied to, I will say I was mislead and dismissed after I signed the paperwork. I take responsibility for my accepting the deal and signing but the experience was very subpar. The dealership is old fashioned and not in a good way. They refused to work with me by email (unlike Billion in Iowa City) requiring me to drive an hour before they'd provide a lease payment. Once I arrived, the sales experience was totally regimented. First we do this, then we do that, I'll drive off the lot and you can drive back, next we fill out this form, next is this step. It's a very inflexible and somewhat cold experience. I will never buy or lease another car from this dealership and regret the moment I contacted them. Every time I get in my car, I feel a little sick to my stomach.

Very good customer service. We contacted Kelly via the internet. She was very helpful. We scheduled our appt and were greated by a smily Ms. Kelly. She had us speak with Savo. Not sure if I'm spelling correctly. He was very knowledgeable regarding the car. He went with us on a test drive and had us do an in building inpection due to the rain. Beautiful car! The paperwork was handled quickly and professionally. We will recommend Brad Deere to family and friend!

They have already fixed a noise I had in my windshield when I bought the car. So far I am happy with going outside the Quad Cities. When we started working with Ron to pick out a vehicle, we didn't know yet if we were going to go used or new. He was very patient and helpful, never pushed us to do something out of our budget range, and was very helpful. The truck we selected meets our needs very well, and due to the incentives was priced very attractively as well. Good experience all around.

I spoke to TJ on the phone about a trailblazer I was interested in looking at on a Friday afternoon with intentions on driving over 400 miles round trip to see it on Saturday. I told him about my trade in (2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 100,000miles)and asked him for a rough range of the amount they could offer before the long drive. I was told that they don't evaluate cars over the phone but that he was very interested in my trade. After driving 200+ miles on the assumption we could make a deal they offered my 3200 for my trade after several other dealers had offered between 6 thousand and 7500 for it. After alot of back and forth they're final offer was 3500 dollars. The sales associate laughed when i told him I didn't understand why they couldn't offer more and would make at least a 6000 dollar profit on my vehicle. After all of the games were over we didn't make a deal on the car and drove all that way for nothing. When I got home I looked at their website and they had an older jeep with similar miles but without any of the options mine comes with listed for 9000 dollars. Worst experience with a dealer I've ever had.
