Car listed one price on website and 1,000 more on the lot.

By Weezy on 9/11/2019 at 8:00 PM. Helped by Chuck Fleener, Kenny Rodriguez and Brian.

The salesman was courteous but I was told I was getting a discount of $2500.00 off a car when it was actually $1500.00. The salesman let us believe he was giving us more of a discount than he was. He only admitted it when confronted with what the car was listed for on the website. Ironically the same salesman said he was somewhat offended that I said something he felt indicated maybe I didn’t trust him and we ended up having a serious discussion about that. Once we had decided we wanted the car we purchased it anyway the next day. I like honesty when dealing with a salesman. It is what it is and the TRUTH MATTERS! The website listing and the lot price should match. That way when the salesman is telling you he is giving you a certain discount, there is no confusion with the two listing prices. That way you don’t have to question why your discount was taken from the price on the actual car on the lot as opposed to the lower listing on the website. On the positive side Kenny R. was very courteous and excellent to work with and Brian was excellent with demonstrating the operation of the car and was very courteous to us.

I would recommend this dealer.

Thankful for Dan and his service department

By Tammy on 5/26/2019 at 12:35 PM. Helped by Dan in service.

Just wanted to say thank you Dan for helping me. Was a stressful time for me, to have my 2011 srx being in the shop. And having major problems. Gear box front end problems. Very serious problems. But From the time of delivery to the day we took it home. You made me feel comfortable with the cost and each thing that needed done. I appreciate you. And the person who did the work. May God bless you both.

Car left with more problems than before i brought it

By Cadillac dts on 10/13/2018 at 7:41 PM. Helped by Dan eldrige.

Brought my car to Cadillac of Knoxville to have 1specific thing done. A power steering hose! After i left i had more problems than i had before they made repairs. I wish i would have never took my 2006 dts to them. Absolutely unsatisfied with them.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Cadillac customer service the worst

By Mp9786 on 10/1/2018 at 1:32 PM.

Bought my Cadillac SRX from Cadillac of Knoxville, TN and since have received the WORST customer service experience to date in their service department. 1. Scenario #1 I was originally charged for oil changes that were supposed to be under maintenance plan. Once I found this out had to request credit. 2. Scenario #2 They told me my strut/bearings were bad and charged me close to $1,000 only to get my car back and the problem not be fixed. Had to go back in spend an additional $600 plus dollars to have the “real” problem fixed by replacing the control arm. 3. Scenario #3 Front headlight was out told me I needed a brand new light almost $1,700 only for my husband to order the parts himself off GM and try to fix. Once husband got the front end off the car he realized the light was actually out because my wind shield wiper fluid reservoir had busted causing water to leak into headlight. My husband is NOT A CERTIFIED CADILLAC TECNICIAN, but yet could figure out the problem in under an hour. Took car back to Cadillac and paid nearly $600 for them to replace the reservoir. What do you know, but magically my headlight came back on once the reservoir was fixed and water wasn’t LEAKING into it. 4. Scenario #4 Cadillac put in the original windshield washer fluid in November when they did completed the regular oil change and they put the kind in that freezes causing this reservoir to bust. Again, had to call and get my money back as this was their error, however I was still out my cost of the un-needed parts they stated I needed for the headlight repair. 5. Scenario #5 Brake pedal was sticking in heat, especially when car sat in the sun all day. Had to raise the brake after stopping to get the vehicle not to shake. Took it to Cadillac and they stated it was that the throttle body needed to be cleaned. Paid almost $200 for that picked my car back up and of course the problem wasn’t fixed. Took my car to the brake shop in Farragut and they stated ma’am there was a Cadillac Bulletin on your car, the brake pedal arm needs to be replaced under a mechanical bulletin GM put out. Are you serious the brake shop can tell me this in one hour and Cadillac charged me to clean my throttle body. So back to Cadillac AGAIN (no loaner so we’re at a total 8 trips again to get this fixed) They say the part is $75 but the labor is for 8 hours at almost $1,200 (called other mechanics in the area and they stated yeah the book states 8 hours but it will take them two, maybe TOPS). This time I picked my car back up and decided to get someone else to fix because at this point I don’t want to give Cadillac the business. 6. Scenario #6 Car continually making same knocking noise in front left front end on and off as it did in Scenario #2. Took vehicle to Cadillac to service and they stated “caliper needed to be greased”. They charged me almost $50, (yes $50) to grease. Got vehicle back and was still making sound so scheduled a service appointment for Friday 9/28/18 and took my car in (again a total of 8 trips back and forth no loaner and no resolution). They had me ride around with Tech for about 5 minutes which of course the vehicle didn’t make the sound pulled back in and the tech and service customer personnel stated “Well since it’s not making the sound you’ll just have to bring it back when it does”. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICIAN I DON’T CARE IF YOU HAVE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE 500 MILES, FIGURE OUT WHAT’S WRONG AND FIX IT. I believe it’s the front control arm and bushing which they replaced not even a year ago and are avoiding fixing it under warranty. This isn’t even all the problems I have faced. In summary what makes this situation the worst is I feel I have become the one who feels bad, yes every time I go in there getting a repair and have to keep coming back they make it as if “here she is again the problem customer”. All of these scenarios could have easily been fixed the FIRST time, however I have yet to take my car to Cadillac of Knoxville and have the actual problem resolved THE FIRST TIME. It’s almost like they DON’T want to help me, they just think I am there to get them to fix something for free, that’s not it all. JUST FIX THE ISSUE THE FIRST TIME and QUIT WASTING MY TIME. In all of this I rarely received a loaner going out of my way for a total of sometimes 8 times in order to get one problem fixed, ONE. I think Cadillac’s motto is sell them things they don’t need or get them to trade in. I loved my car, however due to the customer service I received I WOULD NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT PURCHASING ANOTHER CADILLAC. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE PURCHASING AND ALWAYS QUESTION THEIR REPAIRS, ALWAYS. A friend of mine who didn’t even buy their car at Lexus said they go there, get their car detailed, and gas tank filled up for a recall is, A RECALL issue. One time I went to pick up my car and hate to wait 25 minutes because they couldn’t even find my car. I think when you purchase a luxury vehicle at the price of the vehicles no matter if you ‘ve had it 1 month or 5 years the customer service satisfaction should be there, and that just hasn’t been the case.

Unplanned Repair Service

By Ron/Sandy on 8/25/2018 at 11:28 PM. Helped by Dan Eldridge, do not know the names of others.

We were traveling from Indiana and wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Pulled into Cadillac of Knoxville service center and explained problem. Dan Eldridge was very helpful. Told us they help travelers. Took our information and showed us to the lounge. The other team members came in regularly to report on what they found and how long it would be for repair. We were back on the road in just over an hour. Service was outstanding. Would recommend them to anyone. Felt like they really went above and beyond to help us in a timely manner. Unfortunately do not know the names of the other employees we came in contact with but everyone was very friendly and helpful. Ron & Sandy

Exceptional dealership!

By Corilady on 1/31/2018 at 8:12 PM. Helped by Danny Spradlin, Brian, Sara, Jennifer.

I was in the market for a new crossover SUV with updated safety features and technology. This was the first place I visited and although it was a terrible weather day, I was greeted warmly. Danny Spradlin went with me on a test drive and along with Russ Clark, the general manager, answered all my questions. Sara, their Internet contact, followed up right away and was extremely responsive in answering any further questions. I decided to look at a few other makes and models before making a decision. I should not have wanted my time. Cadillac of Knoxville was first rate from starting with Danny and Russ in sales, to Brian who went over all my new car features to helpful and efficient Jennifer in financing. Danny even gave me a tour of the service department to be sure I was comfortable with where to bring my new car in for routine maintenance. Overall, a very positive experience.

I would recommend this dealer.

Terrible experience

By AaronS on 12/6/2017 at 6:13 PM. Helped by Bobby Green.

Wife and I are in the market for a new vehicle for our business and to use as her vehicle. We went off to Porsche to look at the Cayenne series and one night we decided to stop into Cadillac. We thought it was closed and we were just there to look at that time. They were open. I meet a man named Bobby and we start talking. He shows us an XT5 and the wife loved the car. She gets interested and since I was an employee of GM and my mother was as well. I go through the nonsense that GMS has made to get the employee discount and they let the wife use the truck for one day. While we have it (my job was quality inspector and ergonomics) we notice the plate on the XT5 is messed up. Now I know this truck came from Springhill which actually lost their contract on one of their cars cause their quality is below standard and now I see this right off the bat. I’m told they know it and they have ordered the part and we will just have to bring it back when the part arrives... here starts the problem. I say I would like it fixed before I recieve the vehicle as a 72,000 dollar vehicle should be close to flawless. I get busy with work and the wife decides we will order one close to Christmas and recieve it in the new year as we have other priorities during the holidays. I then recieve a text from the salesman basically blasting me for being a “mystery shopper” and that he missed ups in his sale but, I cost him financially. At first I was caught off guard by the text and explained I am not a “mystery shopper” and that we would still be purchasing a vehicle. I will purchase a vehicle but, it will not be from this dealership. Their manager Ross knows of the situation. Has not called, doesn’t care... ok nor will I. Morristown is close enough and I will make the sure the people in GM I know know of the behavior. No one in a “high end” market should ever be spoke to like that and the Manager should certainly care. However, I do know how GM is and the last thing they ever do is care. Maybe Porsche is a better fit as they do know the customer matters.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Our experience at Cadillac of Knoxville was exceptional! Steve Patterson worked with us to find the RIGHT car and it was never a "sales pitch". He kept it very low-pressure and wanted to make sure we were 100% happy with our purchase! The entire team, including Russ and Jennifer, were super attentive to our needs and we couldn't be happier with our decision to buy there! We definitely recommend them and the dealership without reservation and we will buy there again!
