Cool Service!

...Brought my Envoy in to the Service Department in Burnaby with the A/C blowing warm air. Left it with Mike and prepared for the bad news phone call like a faulty compressor and $1500 estimate. Instead, he called to tell me the refrigerant was low, so they evacuated then refilled the system. It's been a steady 20 degrees ever since, even at 27 ambient outside. Cool service! Thanks!

Horrible service department

Phoned for an oil change appointment one available for 10:45 am was told by a female. it wouldnt take longer than 40 mins. Get to the dealership checked it in told me that will be about an hr. THE CAR DIDNT EVEN GET IN FOR OIL CHANGE UNTIL AFTER 12 PM. Been sitting here since 10:40 then they tell we dont have a enough techs on but booked me for 10:45 oil change, so pissed with there service. Riined my whole day off. Will recommend this dealership to anyone or will be returning for any service done with them.

Friendly and efficient dealership

Ive been introduced to few department in this dealership and I found everyone is friendly and they do their best to meet the customers need. they are efficient so not waisted time at all. took my 2015 Chevy Colorado for engine noise problems, they heard it too. kept it for 2 weeks, at the end say that there is nothing wrong with it.

Carter GM dealership, a place to buy like no other

I have been to many dealerships, but Carter GM certified pre owned vehicles , are like no other. Adi Shpack the salesmen, was very knowledgeable, and approachable. I was able to find an exceptionable vehicle, a Cadillac CTS. He helped me every step of the way, and answered all my questions . The after sales service was phenomenal,, way more than I had anticipated. Hats off to Grant Bohn, the sales manager. You can not go wrong dealing with Adi and Grant. Thank you so much for a pleasant car buying journey.

Bad customer service

I brought in my car to take advantage of their promo of free oil change and also to have my right turn light signal fixed. They charged $40 for labour even if I brought in my own bulb. The service consultant recommended some other things done and I opted to get only one thing done on top of the service check they did on my car and it cost me $320. I had a terrible experience at the cashier. Poor customer service given. No please and thank you accorded to customers. The cashier was rude and was not very helpful when I requested for my last name to be changed on my invoice. I specifically told them I don't go by the name they have on their file. She would not do it Coz according to her it's not her job and pointed that it was the job of the service consultant. And even condescendingly asked me if I told the consultant to change it. I asked if she could do it and said no that she can't Coz her computer won't let her. She said that she doesn't know and I should ask the service consultant I spoke with. I had to wait for another person to offer to help me to get my request done. The cashier was confrontational. Didn't seem to care if she was rude and was raising her voice to a paying customer. She seemed pre-occupied and uncaring. Her co-workers were apologetic for her rude behaviour on her behalf but she continued to be upset and was clueless and wondered why it was such a big deal to me when I should be the one who should be upset. I called the service manager to complain on how badly I was treated by this cashier. The response I received was not very comforting. He didn't offer to make it better for me when I said I would not want to deal with their rude staff again should I come back. I was hoping for some assurance that they will do better to be more helpful and polite and offer to give a better customer service the next time I come back. Instead, the manager just defended her actions and I was told that she's not usually like that and it's already been dealt with and to just see another cashier if I come back. He didn't even bother to ask for my name and contact information. What kind of customer service manager is that? They need to learn to give better service to their customers if they ever want to see them back. The overall customer service treatment is definitely lacking and needs a lot of improvement. I will definitely not come back. They should learn from Toyota on how they treat their customers. Do not come to Carter GM dealership in Lougheed Burnaby!

I've bought many vehicles from this Dealer! and so far everything has been exceptional, Sales department, service, parts and body shop have all helped me get on my way. the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, I imagine you can't make everyone happy, especially in the business there in, with customer expectations so high these days it's no wonder People are such whiners. what would someone expect you trade a car in they recondition it to meet safety and other standards detail it for the lot put on a warranty! and they would sell it for the same price they quoted on a trade! that's ridiculous there in the business not charity. anyways most People don't look after there vehicles and that's why they trade to get rid of there problems from lack of maintenance, and that's why they get a crap trade in value.

Didn't fix the problem

I took my car in specifically because it was making a strange noise. I left my car in the shop for five days because they had to order a certain part. When I went to pick up my car, they made you pay first, of course, it was making the same noise! Therefore, they miss diagnosed the problem, fixed something else, and im out hundreds of dollars. Stay away from this place!

Very happy with problem

I purchased an older car that was still under manufacturers warranty that was under warranty but the part was not covered under the warranty. I sat down and talked with the sales manager Grant and was treated fairly, I was told by my sales person that nothing could be done but Grant looked after everything I requested. I am a very happy customer of Carter GM in Burnaby and would recommend this dealership to anyone,

BAD SERVICE/ WORST DEALERSHIP

This is by far the worst dealership in BC. They made me pre order a car and once the car was here they resold it to someone else and even raised the priced on it. I waited 8 long months for this car. Only to be left with disappointment and frustration. Please do your business elsewhere, the staff are rude and unprofessional to customers like myself.

Lousy service

Took my car for service this morning. Even though I had booked a time about a week ago, it took 3 1/2 hours for a regular service! Obvious;y they pay no notice of reservations and just overload the service department on a first come, first serve basis. Oh well, back to Jiffy Lube.

Absolute Incompetence

In the summer of 2013 I purchased a $50,000 GMC Yukon Hybrid and within a week it was back to the shop. To date there has been $5514.60 worth of repairs done and it is still not fixed. Now they won't return my calls. o Power lift gate – Would start to go up, then either open or close completely (gmcs321655) o Right rear speak was blown (the ‘premium’ stereo does not go loud enough to blow a speak o Driver side heated/cooled seat failed. o Recommended replacing the front struts as they were leaking, yet when I purchased the truck and called that out sales stated they were ‘only seeping’ and was nothing to worry about would not have to be changed for quite some time, yet it is recommended 1 month after purchasing the truck. (Carter did meet me half way and covered the labour) o Front windshield wipers did not work. I had not used them yet as there had been no rain, but how did THIS get missed in the ‘painstaking 150+ point inspection’? see CertifiedAdvantage pt# 48 o Left front axle seal was leaking – Again, 1 month after purchase? This was miss in the inspection o Both front struts were replaced after negotiating with Carter and proving that I was told they were only seeping. I brought up a concern about a clunk over dips in the road, but it had gone away after 2 months. Turns out the suspension was shot again…. o Rear wiper is only intermittent. Manual (as well as the control) states there is ‘on’ and ‘intermittent’ – Apparently there was an addendum to this and I did not get a feature that was listed in the spec sheet o Front pinion seal leaking – Good thing I spent $5000 on an extended warranty…. o Drivers window was creaking and flexing when rolling up and down – Regulators and tracks were rotted and needed to be replaced. o Initial complaint of noisy lifters during a cold start – Carter ‘could not reproduce’ and said it was injector noise. These did eventually get replaced later on and the problem was solved) o Driver side heated mirror does not work – Apparently this needs to be replaced but is not covered under GM or extended warranty. The deal will happily take another $400 from me o Had to replace the entire rear brake assembly (minus the calipers) as they were ‘rotted’ according to Carter. This cost me over $1000 o Front drivers side hub assembly was shot, needed to be replaced – Again, good thing I got that extended warranty. o Park assist message is on. Park sensor was faulty and replaced under extended warranty o New struts failed and were replaced under parts warranty. The creaks, clunk and knocks are back. Concern raised to Carter but they could no reproduce. o Front brakes were serviced, but had to spend more money to flush the brake lines. o Second park sensor o Aux transmission fluid control module was replaced. o New struts still noisy (both creaking and clunking). Carter says one insulator was not installed when the struts were replaced. Ordered 2 more to replace. Why did the tech not own up to not putting a part back in? I was told it was missing ONE, but they ordered 2, was that a cover up? o Shop foreman confirms the lifters ARE noisy and will be taken care of o Lifters are done and truck is quiet as can be (wait for it….) o Right front bearing is shot (new hub assembly installed) o Hybrid Auxiliary pump was replaced (after having my truck 16 days o ANOTHER leak on one of the seals up front. o Carter suggested we do a transmission service and filter as they felt that was the cause and that the aux transmission pump was resonating. Isn’t this the aux transmission pump replaced in august 11th? It appears this cost me $300, on a ‘best guess approach’ o Passenger side ball joint replaced. Driver side is 50% gone but ‘Within Spec’ ? The shop foreman couldn’t find this after driving it for a week, when Budget Brake found it in 2 blocks. So far in 1 calendar year, $5514.60 (not including anything outstanding or marked as ‘Internal’) has been spent on what was a 3 year old “Certified Pre-Owned” truck. This total does not include out of pocket expenses for additional time, travel or other vehicles to use while this truck was back at the dealership for what is going on the 10th time since June 25th 2013 and having been left overnight 3 times, and covering the cost of fuel, insurance and wear on the truck while the shop foreman drove it as his own for 4 days. I call GM directly to complain and while I was getting somewhere, they transferred my case to someone else at GM, who (after leaving me a message) when I called them back, asked what they can do for me. Explained the situation AGAIN, and was told 'I have the notes', but could not understand why I was upset. GM Canada answer to my issues? "Well you have warranty, go to another shop". Good let the stealership off the hook. To date I have been without my truck for 5 weeks, no loaner car, nothing.

worst service and mechanics

I have been here 3 times only for them to find major problems that no other mechanic can find. Always rude and never have a smile on there faces. Will never go again. Would rather burn my truck than ever step foot in there again
