Amazing experience

The service and accommodations were top notch. And the cars are great too. The waiting area was much appreciated. There were plenty of complimentary snacks n drinks. Since I had my 6 year old neice, the kids activity room was a true unexpected blessing.

I got my first car from here few weeks ago. The total experience is really good, especially the dealer who worked with me, Alfredo Sierra. He is really friendly and professional, always ready to answer questions. I would say his good service was also one of the reasons I finally took the car.

If you want to be abused- this is the place for you!

The service writer was rude, the service manager unprofessionally HID when he was paged. When the general manager got paged, he also hid. Expect no one to help you if you have a service issue.

This was the 3rd car, and the 2nd Acura, I have bought from Al Herbst. Honestly, I cannot imagine dealing with anyone else to buy a car. I trust him. His honesty and integrity have never let me down. My whole experience at Center Acura was helpful and friendly. And I am absolutely thrilled with the car!

I called for a car they had for sale and from the beginning he showed his curtesy and interest in a very relax and friendly way. Car was purchased and it is even better than what we were told. I highly recommend Kami as he knows cars well and so honest about it.

We purchased our 2016 Acura MDX with the comfort of knowing we got a good deal and without having to go through a tremendous hassle. Honored online quote

I emailed Kami requesting a quote on a new RDX. He emailed me a quote in writing and verified they had the vehicle in the color I wanted in stock. He emailed me the VIN as well. When we arrived he had the RDX ready for a test drive. I decided to purchase and the price was exactly as quoted. We had a great experience. I would recommend him to anyone. I did my online research beforehand and verified the price was very fair as well.

Got a quote from thru center acura thru Eprice website. They called me the following day and quoted me a price. I asked then to email me quote and get process started since I was out of state. I waited 2 days no response I called then back just to find out that they forgot what we talked about. They said they would do email me again but after 3 days still nothing so I contacted them again this time they tell me get in touch with sales manager Raffi. All run arounds too bad because I was ready to buy that new car from them. I ended up taking my business to another Acura dealership and closed the deal the next day. Do not waste your time at this dealership they are a bunch of unresponsive auto sales people.

Fantastic Service From Jason Shaw (service specialist)

I never spend time writing reviews however in this case I believed it was warranted that I write one. Jason Shaw has been the service advisor (specialist) that has written up my service requests most recently and in the past. Throughout the service process Jason kept me informed as to the status for each of my issues. Jason is without a doubt the most professional and caring advisor I have dealt with over the years. In my humble opinion Center Acura’s service department has a refreshing culture not evident in most dealerships. I highly recommend Jason and Center Acura as your place to service your Acura.

Raffi Ohanian: deceitful and unprofessional

Raffi Ohanian refused to honor a deal his Internet Manager made: Extra $500 better than any deal from a competing dealer. I go into detail on yelp so I will summarize here... I showed emails from three other dealers willing to go $1,000 under invoice for a Black MDX w/Tech. Raffi made several attempts to weasel out of the deal. Then he claimed that people come in with fake quotes from competing dealers. So......did he think mine were fake? I showed him the emails in my gmail account and offered to call the dealers with him to confirm the quotes. He declined. His store lost the sale and Acura lost a sale to BMW after this poor buying experience. Hopefully, this isn't how Raffi Ohanian treats others.

I would not recommend this dealer.

I started emailing various dealers trying to get the best price. I originally started by asking price for their TLX base model with 2 options added in the Fathom Blue color. The sales rep emailed me a price after asking about 3 times which car I was looking for. (Like they almost don't have a system to put this info....) I then told them what my best offer I received was and forwarded the sales rep the email I received from Acura in Calabasas, they stated that they have a guarantee where they can beat anyone's price by $500. I asked to make sure they have the color I wanted as I didn't see it on their site as being in their inventory. He said sometimes the site is not always up-to-date and if they didn't have the color they could possibly get it from another dealership, but asked me to come in anyway. I didn't want to go in without confirming they can actually get the car. The sales rep responded with "James thank you for your reply, but we talked about this I only have the graphite grey, no blue. We also don't have any in order so if you want the one I have your more than welcome to it." At which point I was a little turned off by this dealership. I moved on making trying to make a deal with the Acura of Glendale dealership. (Where i ultimately made my purchase) They actually had the car I wanted coming in the next day so could place a hold for me if I could come in. I told Glendale I should be able to come in the next day to do that. That's when another sales manager called me from Center Acura telling me that he could get me the car in the color I wanted if I came in to sign the paperwork. (Over about 6 or 7 calls he also asked me about 3 times which car I was looking for... Not very promising) I asked him how long it would take for the car to get there as no one in the area seemed to have the color I was looking for. He couldn't say for sure, but he said he would be able to get it to me by the next day. I had agreed to come in at this point because $500 is a lot of money. I then made my way to Center Acura after work to get the deal completed. At which point I was told they wouldn't accept my email as it isn't in their "official offer format" even though in the email thread you could clearly see what options I requested. After speaking to their General Sales Manager he said he would go ahead and honor it. ***This is the most outrageous part of my review*** At this point we already have the car priced with the options I wanted and then I mentioned I might want to trade in my current vehicle to them depending on how much they offered. The sales rep comes back and goes over numbers with the trade in included as if I had already agreed to trade in the car... I asked how much they are offering for my trade in, they offered me $2,000 less than Carmax. I then simply asked if they could match the offer from Carmax (Please note that I had the printout from Carmax, so I wasn't pulling numbers from thin air). They said no. I told them that's fine I'll go trade it in at Carmax myself once I receive the Acura. The General Sales Manager then said that he would not sell me the car unless I traded in my current car even though I never mentioned it to them at all before finalizing the price of the car. I told him no that was never part of the deal. He pretty much said take it or leave it. At this point I asked for my keys and my registration and walked out the door. I headed straight for Glendale Acura and didn't play any kind of games with them. They gave me exactly what we agreed upon. They offered me $1,000 more on my trade in, but still less than carmax, so I said I would take it there instead. The very next day the sales rep I was speaking with at Center Acura called and I told him I already made a purchase from another dealership, but somehow the message was not clear as he called me a 2nd time the next day to see if I were still in the market. Please do not waste your time going here. Go to Glendale Acura they are much more friendlier and engaged in the entire process. I will never go to Center Acura even though they are the closest dealership to me, not even if for some reason I need to get my vehicle serviced.

Outstanding Service Department

I have been driving cars for over fifty years and have never experienced the professional customer service that I have experienced at the Service Department at Center Acura in Sherman Oaks, California. My younger daughter has owned a 2007 Acura TSX since my wife and I bought it for her new in 2007. We have gone to several different dealerships for scheduled maintenance over the years due to work related relocations. I can honestly say that we have never experienced the quality customer service and professional loyalty demonstrated by the Service Department and service personnel at Center Acura. Most recently, we took my daughter’s car to Center Acura to diagnose what was causing the ignition to intermittently not start properly. Her Service Consultant, Sam Aslanian immediately showed personal attention to her situation. A loaner car was provided and a day later the problem was identified. Here is what is so amazing about this Service Department and representatives such as Sam Aslanian. Two weeks after the repair was properly made, another issue developed which resulted in my daughter bringing the vehicle back to the dealership. A loaner car was again provided and the next day it was revealed what the problem was which was totally unrelated to the previous issue. Sam Aslanian, realizing that my daughter had just had repair service only two weeks before the latest necessary repair, did something I have never experienced in my years of driving. He demonstrated what loyalty is to a customer. Since this new repair issue had developed only two weeks after the unrelated repair job was completed, Sam arranged for additional parts and labor be performed on the vehicle at no additional charge over the cost to repair the latest problem. He also provided her with a three-year warranty on the service. I have never experienced this type of loyalty demonstrated by a dealership service department as what I experienced at Center Acura. This is an Acura service department, which I trust implicitly to be courteous, honest and fair to its customers. This is the highest level of customer appreciation exhibited by any dealership I have ever experienced.

I called Center Acura to make an appointment to bring in my TSX for a recall and Sam picked up and was very polite, he answered my questions and asked if i needed a shuttle back to work,school, etc. When I arrived for my appointment Sam knew who I was but he was helping another guest at the time so he asked Ray Garcia who is also very helpful to check me in. As Ray was checking me in Sam came over and introduced himself which was great so i can put a face to a name. Over all really good experience everything went smooth Sam got back to me when he said he would. The shuttle service was quick and easy process very pleasant employees. I love that you guys have great teamwork. Thank you Sam and Ray for assisting me oh and also the shuttle driver was nice as well I believe his name was Mario.

Sam is the most wonderful, honest, and caring Service Consultant. He always makes me feel at ease. As a single woman it's nice to have some one be genuine and non-patronizing. Above and beyond

We have 3 cars that I service at Center Acura. The staff if very friendly and helpful. Jason is our normal service guy. He always goes above and beyond for us. On this last visit, I stopped in for wiper blades while it was raining, and he found my tires were unsafe. I drive my children around in this car every day. I don't want to even think about what could have happened. Sam and Scott are always nice too. There is a new guy named Ray (I think) who came from another dealer, but seams nice. I highly recommend this place for servicing your Acura. I will continue to service our cars there as long as we own Acuras. We will probably be buying a TLX here when our TSX lease is up.

Worst car buying experience of my life.

Let me begin with the fact that I really like my Acura vehicles and I do shop around for price. Center Acura had the best price for the car i wanted and that is why I began this process. This was an internet purchase. From the beginning Center Acura repeatedly displayed very poor communication, I waited hours and hours for answers to simple questions. I never received a description of what the purchase and shipping process would be, maybe this was because they did not know and had to figure it out during my purchase, regardless there was nothing smooth about this process. Case in point, I was told by the salesman that the deal was good the day before thanksgiving. The day after thanksgiving I received a call from the sales manager stating that he was going to sell the car to someone else because there was "interest in this vehicle", remember this was after I had agreed upon a price 2 days before. When I told them they could do what they felt with the vehicle but I would be speaking to corporate if they did sell the car, I got a call back from the manger later in the day saying that they understood I had an agreement and would work with me on the deal. They told me to wire my down payment for the vehicle to the account number specified before I had any kind of sales agreement stating what this was for. I told them I was not comfortable with that until we had some type of document stating what we were agreeing to. The final piece was that I was told the paperwork and the car would arrive at the same time so I could use the paperwork to properly obtain title, registration, and insurance. When the paperwork did not arrive I asked for the tracking number. I had to email three time, call twice, and text message numerous times and the day late paperwork still arrived before the tracking number from the dealership. The only bright spots were the salesmen Al and the finance lady Melanie. These two were helpful and responsive. Having bought vehicles over the internet before, I can honestly say this was the single WORST car buying experience of my life. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone.
