Pleasant experience

My husband is very pleased with the 2018 RAV4 we purchased recently from Bob..He desperately needed to get rid of his 2009 Grand Caravan but kept hanging on.. No fishing down dirt roads until next summer with this SUV. Bob was patient and of the 4 2018's available felt this was the best one for us. We only wish Bob was a Philadelphia Eagles fan like Ryan but he may come around.

Excellent Experience

Phil Roy gave me his card and I contacted him when I was ready to purchase a vehicle. From beginning to end it was a relaxed, no pressure, no stress experience. While waiting for the vehicle to be ready I purchased heavy duty mats and a cargo mat to protect the carpeting. When the vehicle was ready, Phil took the time to put the mats in my Rav4 XLE. I appreciate this kind of low key sales. Not once did I feel as though I was being pressured to purchase something I did not want. This is what keeps me coming back to Central Maine Toyota. Thank you Phil Roy!

From the moment I began looking to the moment I drove off the lot in my new to me Jeep I was impressed with the service I received from Lenny St. Pierre. Being on a limited budget I knew the chances of finding a vehicle of any quality would be slim. Lenny sat down with me and began looking. He read over his list of cars, finding one that was in my price range, but he didn’t think it would work with my disabilities. He found another but he thought the mileage was too high. When we settled on test driving a Jeep Compass I was leary because the seats didn’t look soft, cushioned enough for my troubled hips. What did Lenny do? He told me to take it for the afternoon and drive it to see if I could handle the seats for an extended time. I did and I could. Finding me a loan was difficult as I hadn’t used any credit for over 10yrs. Lenny spent several hours finding me a loan that would work for me and terms that the Central Maine Motors Auto Group would find acceptable. Lenny did it again. He negotiated a deal that made all involved happy. After signing the paperwork Lenny gave me a perfect pink rose and opened my new car’s door for me. This was my first experience as a solo car buyer. Lenny made me feel at ease, not rushed and in control, not to mention his wonderful sense of humor. Lenny St. Pierre deserves a red cape and a Superman badge. He is my hero! I will definitely do business with Central Maine Motors Auto Group again. Thank you Lenny!

Upsetting with sales lack of disclosure

I requested an internet quote on a new Chevrolet Silverado. The initial response was good. The sales person got back to me within a few hours. We discussed the new vehicle and my desire to trade my current vehicle. I returned more information to the sales person concerning my trade in. Within a few hours I had a proposal. I had some questions concerning the proposal which took almost a couple days to get answered. We were able to agree on a fair purchase price. I didn't realize until I was 10 miles from the dealership this was not a new vehicle. I later learned it had been a demo vehicle with 1700 miles on it. If I had been aware of demo status and mileage I would have negotiated the purchase price differently. In my lifetime I have purchased 13 new vehicles and one demo that I knew was a demo and negotiated accordingly. I guess I now have purchased 2 demo vehicles. I have learned a new life lesson when it comes to buying a new vehicle. Make sure you ask if your new vehicle is in fact new. The only other thing I think I should mention is that the cleanliness of the vehicle was not what it should have been when delivered.

No Pressure Car Sale

Our experience at Central Maine Motors was one that would bring us back. We drove in to look and ask a couple of questions and the salesman, Bob Van Gorden, was so pleasant, willing to answer all the questions we had and not the least pushy. We went from looking to buying because of his sales approach.We had two grandchildren with us who he paid extra attention to all while expediting the sale. I would recommend Bob Van Gordon and Central Maine Motors to anyone.

Bob was extremely helpful. I live pretty far away and he helped me find the exact Rav4 that I wanted with everything I wanted it to have in a timely manner and through phone calls, emails, and texts. He always got back to me when he said he was going to which I can't say the same for the other dealerships I was talking too. He was always kind and polite. Buying a new vehicle is never fun but Bob was honest with me and gave me a great deal. Couldn't be happier and will recommend him to everyone. Thanks Bob!

Terrible experience from start to finish

I have purchased 8 vehicles from this dealership and this will be my last time. They advertised a vehicle that they didn’t have yet and then drag their feet once it arrives. Once the sale was final they sold it to me with an empty tank of gas. Now I am still waiting on a part that was promised to me last week.

Sold me a car with a problem. Highly disappointed!

Needed to buy a used car in good condition. The car was from 2012, no reported accidents or issues. We were assured the car was inspected and to be in perfect condition. A month after it was bought it started to make loud noises, I called the dealership repeatedly explaining the issue and I kept being redirected and promised to get a call back which I never did. I kept getting connected to Derek who seemed completely clueless on the issues I was having and never gave me a call back and each time I would call he would pretend this is the first he's hearing of these issues. I took the car to their dealership in Waterville so they can inspect it and after waiting for over an hour I was told there is a hole in the muffler but they did not have time to give me an estimate or explain what caused the problem. They also charged me $50 for parts and labor saying they changed my oil and oil filters. I kept calling trying to get in touch with a manager, again no success. Took the car to mechanics in my area where they showed me there was severe rust in the system which caused the exhaust and muffler to break and that it is not possible to have that issue after a couple months of driving and me barely putting miles on it. When I finally got a call back from management after months of trying, I received horrible customer service and was told I have to pay for it myself and that it is normal they sell the used cars with rusted out parts, after trying to deny never calling me back, connecting me with management and refusing to take responsibility for this issue persisting a month after I bought the car and not receiving an estimate or a an explanation of the issue during my check up. On top of all that, the mechanics also showed me my oil being on 50% of its life, only 4 months and 1500 miles after the checkup in Waterville, making it clear they lied and never did change my oil or filters, which could have resulted in issues with my engine. Overall, highly dissatisfied and infuriated with the experience and outraged for the money I paid for a car in good condition only to encounter these issues and lack of accountability! It seems as long as you buy a used car they think it means they can sell it to you in whatever condition. Won't recommend!

I originally dealt with Zach over the phone, then in person. I was very much impressed with his professionalism and handling of our car buying situation. He kept us informed at each turn and made sure that we were included in each and every decision.
