Best Car Purchase Experience So Far

I have had a couple of awful car buying experiences in the past 10 years and this one was shaping up to be bad as well. I was looking for a used Nissan Leaf and everyone I spoke with was either ignorant of EVs or wouldn't negotiate price (those no-hassle places rip you off with the fees). Some places were both. After about a month-long exhaustive search, I decided to look further away (I'm in Central Florida) and I found a Leaf at a decent price with low mileage at Childre (as well as one from ZOOM, an online dealership). At Childre, after an initial phone call with a salesman who didn't seem to know much about it, I ended up speaking with Josh Coffey. To my surprise, he was the first (and only) person at a dealership who actually knew something about EVs. I asked him to charge it up for me and let me know what the range was at 100%. He knew exactly what I was asking for and had it done within a couple of hours (it literally took one dealership I spoke with 3 days to do this for me for another Leaf). He gave me the total price up front and we were able to smoothly negotiate the price over the phone. I never felt like he was using any deceptive sales practices with me and we were able to talk honestly about what I needed. Ultimately, it came down to price with the 2 Leafs I was looking at. When I told Josh Zoom would deliver and with them I'd have to come get it, he immediately offered to have it carted down to me. Once we settled on price, they beat the online dealership at the bottom line. From there, everything went smoothly. So smoothly, in fact, that I was convinced something was wrong. But, again to my surprise, everything worked out. A super-nice older gentlemen named Johnny brought the car down on a trailer, showed me the features, gave my wife a quick tutorial, and we sat at the end of the trailer on a perfect day in Daytona signing paperwork and enjoying the breeze. The entire delivery experience was great. Josh called within 30 minutes of the completion of the sale to see how things went and to make sure I was satisfied. I really can't say enough good things about my experience with Josh, Johnny, and Childre Nissan. Around 75% of the online reviews I've done have been negative, so it's good to write a positive one after an experience like this one. Overall, it was the best experience I've had with buying a car. I love the Leaf and I hope to do business with them again in the future.

Great experience buying a car

I have bought several autos from Jason Childre and as before, walked into dealership, met by friendly & courteous staff, and told Jason what I was looking for. Within a few days he called & told me he had the car I was looking for. I returned to dealership and the car was just what I wanted. The deal went smooth and friendly. Recalls

Went in for recalls on my airbags and springs under my car,drove it in and wasn't able to drive it away.They had my car for three days,called and told me it was ready ,get there the car would not move!! Found out they broke my cv axle,ball joint,and motor mount. They did not offer to fix my car but gave ME a bill for $600.They of course put the blame on me EVENTHOUGH I only went in for some simple recalls.I would not recommend coming here for repairs. Take it elsewhere! Thank me later!

Pitiful customer service

After speaking with Mr. Middleton today about a used vehicle and setting up a time to look at it, it was sold 30 minutes before the agreed upon appointment. Mr. Middleton knew that I was driving 1-1/2 hrs to look at the vehicle and I was very interested in purchasing it. He stated that he thought I had been the one that had just purchased it. He had my name and contact information yet was not even courteous enough to let me know. The worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Deceptive

They sold me a car that had front end damage prior but told me the air bags had no deployed. I just found out the air bags did deploy, called the dealership. I was told they didnt have to disclose this (which is a lie) and didn't care if I took it further. Will be contacting my lawyer Monday morning. The car was a 2011 infinity g37 sport convertible. I'm livid.

A Dealership You Want To Avoid

I purchased a 2015 Nissan Rouge at Childre Nissan. Everything seemed fine at first and swiftly went downhill. They say one thing and do another, it was very evident they are more interested in the survey that was sent to me by Nissan. They got an unacceptable rating on the survey and here as well. If you want to loose thousands of dollars and deal with individuals that are skilled in prevarication then this is the place for you.

Great Experience!

I travelled all the way from the Nashville area to look at, and hopefully purchase, a used car that I had seen on the Internet. I worked with David by phone the week prior to going to inspect the car. When I walked in the dealership they were prepared for my arrival. The whole process went very quickly and without a hitch. David described the car very accurately and had already secured the financing for me during the week prior to my arrival at the dealership. He was able to secure me the lowest financing rate of any dealership that I had been quoted in the 2 months of car shopping that I had done prior to finding their car on the Internet, and with a very reputable financing company. The price for the car was significantly less than prices I had been quoted for identical cars from several other areas of the country. It was the first car purchase I had made in 13 years and I was very nervous, but they were able to put me in the seat of my dream car with confidence and a payment that worked with my budget. It was well worth the 15 hour day and 770+ mile trip. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Great experience!!

Owner is using it to move???

My husband and I were interested in a 2004 Ford F150 FX4 that was listed on Autotrader. There were no pictures available so we called the dealership. Last week, we called the dealership they said that they could not send any pictures because the truck was not there. First we were told that a manager was using it to move. We were unhappy but decided to call back today. We were told the same thing. When I asked them if it was standard practice to use a vehicle that they are trying to sell for personal use, especially something like moving where the vehicle could get scratched or damaged, "Super Dave," didn't answer. He acted as though he couldn't hear me. When I asked who the manager was he said he was! I then asked who the owner was and he said he would have to call me back with that information. After waiting a couple minutes, I went to their website and did a live chat with someone there and asked them who the owner was. I am guessing that the person chatting with me told, "Super Dave," that I was asking questions because he then called my phone. His story had changed. He said that the truck I was interested in was in the transmission shop and it was actually another truck that was being used to move and it was not an employee using it, it was the owner. Based on the conflicting stories I am lead to believe that someone was failing to be honest or really doesn't have any idea what is going on with their inventory. Either way, I would not buy anything from this dealership based on their lack of professionalism and integrity.

This dealership is not focused on pressuring anyone to purchase just any vehicle but to help find the right vehicle you want or need. I am a repeat customer because of the helpful (not pushy) service from the sales staff and from the service department. They have never made me feel like they were just trying to sell me a car, but they listened and helped me find what I wanted. Service after the sell is just as important to me as the price of the car and I have been very satisfied with the work they have done for me and the professionalism of their technicians. I have referred several of my family to Childre and they have all had good experiences.
