Wonderful BuyingExperience

By IreneW on 11/19/2018 at 3:33 AM. Helped by Jose Dominguez.

This was my first purchase from Coconut Creek Subaru, and dealing with Jose Dominguez made the difference! He had the exterior and interior color that I wanted, made a great offer for my trade-in, and never pressured me to buy from his dealership rather than from the dealer that sold me my previous Subaru. He was knowledgeable, very patient, professional, and efficient. My previous dealer had the opportunity to get this car from Coconut Creek Subaru, but chose inaction and instead told me that the car I wanted was sold. When I learned this was untrue, my loyalty switched and Jose truly earned my business. I believe that he is a Subaru salesperson who can be trusted, listens to his clients, and gets the best deal possible without stress or haggling. I will definitely buy another car from Jose, and highly recommend him and his dealership. The 2019 Forester is awesome, a terrific upgrade, and a joy to drive!

I would recommend this dealer.

If You Value Your Time, Don't Waste It Here!

By Outback Owner on 11/13/2018 at 2:20 AM. Helped by New Car Sales Manager on 11-10-18.

After spending an hour and a half with the salesman, his manager refused to give me a price because I told him I already went elsewhere and was going to compare his price to what I got. He insisted I give him my price and that he would beat it. When I refused, that was it. I then asked him to just continue on the premise that I had no price and was coming to him first. Well that didn't work either. He then began to display his arrogance along with an attitude suggesting his dealership could beat any price, even one that a customer does not give him. I am glad to say that since my experience at this dealership, I have purchased my Subaru elsewhere and the difference in customer treatment was night and day.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Don’t bother going here to buy a car

By Disgusted on 11/4/2018 at 9:18 PM. Helped by He didn’t offer his name.

Two hours ago I walked into this dealership. I told the man who barely greeted me, that I need to replace my Flex and am interested in Subaru. He kind of motioned to a car and then walked away, never to return. Perhaps it was because I’m a woman, but I don’t care how good the cars are, I will never return to this delearship. If they can’t be helpful when selling you a car, God knows what the service will be like once you actually own the vehicle.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Do Not Buy From This Dealership

By Michael on 9/24/2018 at 11:24 PM. Helped by Randy Zgrzemski/ Sales Manager.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Filled out the online application for credit. They said you’re all pre-approved so we went in to buy a new Subaru Crosstrek. Three more times I asked if I was all pre-approved, again replied yes of course and even quoted me my credit score. 2 hours later the finance “manager” comes out and says we can only get you approved with ALLY credit at almost $200 more than they quoted me. When I asked why the other two “managers” quoted me a smaller payment he said “I don’t know where they got those numbers from”. As I was waiting for them to come and lie to me more I found a license plate screw in the parking lot. I gave it to our salesman and he laughed and said “they drop those all of the lot all the time”. Half way home we get a flat and low and behold we have a license plate screw in our tire!! And don’t even bother emailing GM Stan Anders because he’ll just ignore your email. These people are liars, deceitful, unprofessional, and crooked. Run as fast as you can away from this place and find another place to buy your car.

I would not recommend this dealer.

2 hours for an oil change and rotation??

By Jconnelly954 on 9/1/2018 at 2:40 PM. Helped by Ms. Shelley.

Every time I come for service it's a two hour wait for an oil change and rotation. I have to cancel the car wash each time because of how long they take to service. This is my day off and I don't want to spend a third of it in the service department. Finally when my car was ready, I go to get my keys and the service assistant explains to me that my plan has expired. I asked this question prior to the service even starting and she assured me that the plan was not expired. Get it together coconut creek! Notice, the time of wait is not even a question you all ask in the review questions on this site. Quality questions should include time of wait for service.

Found my new Outback

By Matt and Louise on 8/27/2018 at 12:50 AM. Helped by Lydia, Mike Tremblay, Rodrigo, Eli and Jose..

I wish there were more stars than 5 to give, because I would! First, Kudos to Lydia in the internet department who helped me narrow down my choice (I went with a new 2018 Subaru Outback Limited--and you should too) Next there was Mike Tremblay who walked me and my wife through the whole buying process and did a great job. And then there was the Manager--Rodrigo--who was the epitome of professionalism and worked all the figures. He gave us an absolutely great deal and good money for our trade. Add all of that with ZERO PERCENT FINANCING and you have the makings of one perfect auto buying experience. Eli in Finance was very knowledgeable and professional and made doing all the paperwork simple and effortless. And then there was Jose in Sales who did the final delivery and pulled everything together with his expertise and patience when thoroughly explaining and demonstrating the many features and advance technologies that come with the Subaru Outback!! Thank you Thank you Thank you. I will be sending Coconut Creek Auto Mall many referrals.

Poor Service

By Garev on 9/17/2017 at 4:22 AM. Helped by SM - Raymond Serrano.

Although the sales experience at this dealership was very good, the service department was extremely poor. A continuing tire issue on my fifth Subaru Forester was covered up by consistently poor workmanship on the three occasions I had to take it for the same problem. The SD and GM did not respond at all to my telephone and written communication, so I resorted to contacting Subaru's head office. They, too, had difficulty getting a response. In the end, the HO resolved the problem for me, but I will go elsewhere in future for servicing to a Subaru dealership that actually does good work and cares about their customers.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Best Car Buying Experience in 40 years

By 11996mar on 8/28/2017 at 12:53 PM. Helped by Steve Harrington team, Robert.

I was referred to Steve Harrington and his team to test drive a Subaru. Let me say that I have never had anyone so knowledgeable before talk about cars. Robert, a member of Steve's team, introduced my wife and me to Subaru and explained all the features. I've never owned a Subaru and usually kept with GM, Kia, or Honda. We fell in love with the 2017 Outback Limited and picked up my wife's new car on Friday. The car is totally max'd out with options and does things I never knew a car could do under $60,000. I will recommend all my friends to go see Steve and Robert. Happy wife, happy life! L. Doherty

Saved my car and my sanity!

By 2012wrx2012 on 5/9/2017 at 4:50 PM. Helped by Marlon.

Horrible noise from front end of my wrx. Long story short.... brought to pompano Subaru 3 times, could not properly diagnose, or certainly not fix the problem. Last time there, i was told to drive until the problem gets worse or completely breaks!! I was assured that my car was "safe" to drive. Which is an odd assurance when the actual problem is a mystery. Brought my car to coconut creek and was happy to see Marlon, an ex employee of pompano Subaru, who's been very helpful in the past. Long story even shorter, my problem wad diagnosed the next day, "transmission/front differential" and my car was back to me in 3 days. I will not be bringing my car to pompano Subaru again. I have had many other issues with pompano including, putting the wrong oil in my car, stripping my wheel studs by crossthreading the nuts with an impact drill, installing oil filter incorrectly causing massive oil leak......ect, ect.... go only at your own risk. I have a 2012 wrx my wife a 2013 crosstrek, both bought brand new at pompano. For a customer who's spent over 60k in cars, not including service, you'd think they could take better care of you. Whatever, we'll spend the next 60k at coconut creek in a few years when we both upgrade.

I would recommend this dealer.

Absolutely the best car buying experience of my life!

By PastorRussell on 10/11/2016 at 3:36 AM. Helped by Brayan Rovira, Kyle (in finance).

I just purchased a 2017 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium w/ EyeSight. First off, I love the car! I mean, I really love the car! Up until this point, I thought I would never get over trading my beloved 2003 Honda Element with All Wheel Drive. Now, I have a new favorite car! The Forester is solid, comfortable, fun, and sure-footed. As for the buying experience, it was perfect! Brayan Rovira was my salesperson. Brayan was respectful, knowledgeable, polite and attentive. He knew the Subaru line inside and out and helped me to determine which car (I was interested in a few different models) and which trim level was right for me (and my budget). He did't pressure me, respected my time and got the deal done. The price I paid was very fair - and we arrived at it without the game of back-and-forth with "the manager" that so many other dealerships make people suffer through. We have four drivers in our family and I know that we will be back. And, if my buying experience wasn't perfect enough, my experience in the finance department with Kyle was also excellent. Seamless and smooth. No nonsense, no hard-sell. I was overwhelmed by the level of service and professionalism at Coconut Creek Subaru. I'm telling everyone I know - Thank you Coconut Creek Subaru! You've made me a Subaru buyer for life!

I would recommend this dealer.

xxxx subaru of Coconut Creek.

By Subaru suxxxxx on 1/27/2016 at 12:24 AM. Helped by Raymond the fat man.

Terrible, unrealiable, unfriendly, stupid, and most unhonest dealer in town. Worst place to bring your car to! Mechanics hate to help you, they hate their job, and they hate talking to people. Service advisors are literally mentally xxxxxxxx. Slow at answering questions and when they do answer questions, half of what they say is made up facts. Raymond is a moron. Avoid this fat man at all cost!!! Loves to make xxxx up! Told me condinsation is normal in tallights and is they way Subaru makes them. Like I said... literally xxxxxxxx. Service manger sucks at helping. Only way to get through is by calling Subaru's 1-800 number. It is literally like telling their Mom they have been acting up. Will never go again. Fire Raymond and the old man who is the manager.

No-pressure dealer

By sl1986 on 11/30/2015 at 2:54 PM. Helped by Kathleen Miglis.

I really enjoyed my experience at Coconut Creek Subaru. They have a much softer approach compared to neighboring dealers and competitors who also sell Subaru (particularly a dealer in Pembroke Pines, who lost a sale because of their dishonest tactics). They were honest and fair in their dealings with me, from sales to finance. They resolved any issues I had and kept their communication open from beginning to end. I also appreciate the fact that they did not blow up my phone or try to "trick" me into making any deals I would later regret.

Jose Dominguez puts this dealership to the top of the charts

By Jamesnef of Tamarac on 11/18/2015 at 2:42 PM. Helped by Jose Dominguez,Ray Serrano.

Jose is to Coconut Creek Subaru, like Tom Brady(New England Patriots) is to football. He can read a customers need and address them quickly. He works extremely hard in getting the customer, the right price and vehicle. This is the 2nd Subaru that I have purchased through him and I couldn't be happier. The service advisor Ray Serrano excells as well, so,yes, a 5star rating is justly given. Go to CCS and buy a car from them and with two Professionals as I have mentioned, you can be happy too.

Need more customer-oriented service

By SC CBC on 10/19/2015 at 5:48 PM. Helped by Raymond (service advisor) and Martin (service advisor). Also left a message for the general Mgr who didn't call me back.

We own 3 Subarus that we bought in SC and love. Two of them are here in South Florida so we have had our cars serviced at Coconut Creek Subaru. While this service department has been fair to ok the last 2 years we have used them, our latest experience is causing us to re-think owning Subarus if we have to service them here. I took my husband's Impreza in on Thursday for an oil change and I mentioned it was not cooling well. $150 later, they could not find a leak. On Sunday morning, we had freon on our garage floor and so we dropped the car off and after repeated calls, finally discovered that our service advisor was not in and no one knew why the car was there and did not call us. 3 hours later, I called and they said it needed a new evaporator and he had not idea of the cost but would call me. I am still waiting. I also took our Outback in for a routine oil change on Friday and on Saturday morning it was leaking oil. I took it back in, they said they had tightened the O ring too tight and had to replace it and change the oil again. Today, Monday, it is still leaking and I can't take it in til we get the other one back! SOOO frustrated.

Poor service after the sale

By Louisa on 9/29/2015 at 10:43 PM. Helped by Ryan Patterson Sean (finance person) Kevin Murphy.

On September 4th, after much research, I made the decision to purchase a Subaru Forester. I came to your dealership knowing that you had the vehicle that I wanted. I dealt with a salesperson named Ryan Patterson. After several hours of negotiations and paperwork, I left with the Forester. Before I left, I made arrangements to bring the vehicle back on September 14th for detailing and sealing (I purchased all the bells and whistles). There were some fairly deep gouges in the center console that needed to be repaired. I also needed some education on the navigation system and other features of the car. After getting home, I noticed that there were ants all inside of the car. I notified Ryan and he assured me that this could be taken care of with an insect bomb when I returned on the 14th. I returned on the 14th and shortly after, the gouges were repaired. It was then that I was told that the bug bomb chemicals needed to stay in the car for an extended period of time. There was much discussion about how long the car needed to stay and what would happen in the meantime. I eventually given a loaner vehicle to drive home and left the dealership approximately 2 hours later with nothing accomplished but the console repair. An agreement was made that I would return on Thursday the 17th and pick up my completely ready vehicle. At that time, Ryan would give me instructions on the car operations. On Thursday the 17th, I arrived at exactly the arranged time of 11:00 am, which was the time Ryan was scheduled to arrive to work .He met me shortly after and we went out to the car. The car had not been vacuumed/detailed, there was paint on the seat from the console repair, a mud stain on the floor mat and the etching that I paid extra for during the financing process had not been done. In addition, my license plate was missing as well as some change that I had left in the drink holder. I was left sitting at the table in the front of the dealership while Ryan ran around talking to people, trying to find out why things weren't done and searching for my license plate. Ryan told me that it was the finance person, Sean, who should have taken care of the etching. Eventually, it was determined that my license plate was put on another car that was no longer at the dealership. By this time, I was quite irritated and knew that I would not be able to learn anything that Ryan would teach me about the car -- if we made it that far. As I sat at the table, becoming more and more aggravated with the events that were snowballing, I noticed that Ryan went into a side office several times where several men were sitting behind a desk. At one point I told Ryan that I would like to speak with the manager. After sitting there for nearly 2 hours, I was completely disgusted with the way things were going. I told Ryan that I wanted to take the loaner vehicle back home and have my car brought to me on Saturday the 19th.This was arranged but the manager still had not come to speak with me. I told Ryan that I still wanted to speak to the manager and he walked me into the office that I had previously seen him go into several times. Ryan introduced me to Kevin Murphy who was behind the computer. Since I had seen Ryan speaking to him intermittently during my 2 hours there, I knew he was aware of what was going on. He barely glanced at me while I was speaking to him. He didn't even give me the courtesy of looking away from his computer screen until I told him that he wasn't paying attention to anything I was saying. After that, the first words from his mouth were "I wasn't here that day" referring to September 14. He then just nodded his head a few times and finally mumbled that he was sorry for what happened. I am very disappointed in nearly everything that happened from start to finish. So many things went wrong and nobody seemed to know what was going on. The attitude from Kevin Murphy was not that of a manager. Going to a car dealership is something nearly everyone dreads. This is exactly why. A friend of mine has made a decision to purchase a Subaru next month but I will steer her clear of this dealership. I can promise you that had I had a good experience, she would also be buying from you. Eventually I will be purchasing another vehicle but after this experience, rest assured that I will not spend my hard earned money at Coconut Creek Automotive.

I would not recommend this dealer.
