Missing customer service

Extremely poor customer service from the Sales Dept as well as the Service Dept. Vehicle not ready at promised time, half of the requested service being completed. When purchasing my Sierra from end of lease, they added surprise charges on the final invoice where the original contract specifically indicated there was no charge, when it was questioned I was given the run around and refused service. Cody had to bring in reinforcements from upstairs (his mother) to back him up and continue arguing before finally being asked to leave to complete the vehicle purchase elsewhere. Stay Away!!!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Oil change

Purchased the vehicle from Cowan and went in for a oil change the day, and worked was performed up to standard but when I came back into the vehicle after it was completed there was oil hand marks on steering wheel and interior door panels.... Really....... I have purchased other vehicles GM products from other dealerships in Durham and they have understood the concept of customer service as they vacuum and wash your vehicle. Ms. Cowan your dealership service team needs to pick up the expectations in regards to customer service as I feel that your team does a very poor job at it.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Picked up truck 5 times!!!

So my truck goes in after it was in an accident. I rear ended someone. I've picked up my truck 5 times!!!' Only to find out they didn't fix issues pertaining to engine! In fact they said engine wasn't affected by accident at all even though it was noted it was pouring out coolant at scene of accident. I received an apology later as I was right, the engine was affected. So long story short, bring my truck home after 5 times they claim it's fixed. Put it into drive and it starts to reverse!!! This is at my kids school with my kids in vehicle!!! It sure wasn't doing this before my accident!! So... Have to wait to speak with someone tomorrow, which I'm sure will be the beginning of a never ending nightmare. Owner/manager never returns msgs. I'm absolutely appalled by the "service" here.

I would not recommend this dealer.

How are these crooks still in business?

I brought my 2005 Saturn Ion in for a fuel drip need my rear passenger side wheel and my driver side door lock seized up. First the guy started by saying with the age of the vehicle it's time to start thinking of buying a new car, I said no thanks I like being car payment free. They had to diagnose the leak and hooked it up to the computer and I was told they can't get fuel line parts for my car anymore and they have to make the parts. I was told the total cost would be $1200. He said with age of the car I can expect this to be the start of paying hundreds of dollars on a regular basis. Then I asked what was wrong with the door lock they said they fixed it. When I asked how? they became annoyed because I said I hope they did more than WD40 which iv done myself. He froze then said they sprayed inside with a silicone to free up the lock. They said it would cost $400 to replace the lock. I told them I would think over the lock and fuel line since it will be parked mostly over the holidays, I then paid them $150 for spraying my door lock and telling me the cost to replace my fuel lines. One week later I took it to my regular mechanic who was closed for a week and they replaced all fuel lines and the fuel filter for $425 total! big difference from $1200 and they also found the parts easily, I had my car back that day within 6 hours. Three weeks after that my driver side door lock seized up again and my check engine light came on. I will never be going back to Cowan as it seems like a crooked, sleazy business. I feel they have bad ethics and rip off their customers. I would recommend to anyone to take their vehicle anywhere other than Cowan!

Poor customer service

Bought a new truck within 5000km radio malfunctioned called to make an appointment and was told the service manager would call back to confirm appointment never called back.called next day got an appointment to look at it said yup it need an update 20minutes out the lot it did it again took it back 2 more times and on the 2nd time they fixed the radio but damaged the dash gouging it around the faceplate had to return a 4th time and never went back never will and that was the short version.terrible customer service

Misdiagnosised car

My car was diagnosed at Cowan and when I returned to talked to them about it I didn't get so much as an apology but they completely brushed me off. Very disappointed in the service at Cowan. Will not be returning.

worst service ever

I made an appointment the previous week for my truck to be serviced at 8am Wednesday, Feb. 11 . When I dropped the truck off the service rep told me that the truck would be ready to go by 12 noon so there would be no need of a loaner car.. I called Cowans at 11:30 to see if the truck was ready yet. The service rep told me it hadn't been looked at yet but it was next in line. I told her to forget it as I needed to leave for work shortly and to send their driver to pick me up When I got to Cowans I asked the rep why the truck hadn't been looked at yet, he replied "must to be to _______ busy" I asked what is the point in making an appointment if you are going to be hours and hours behind the scheduled time This type of service is totally unacceptable. I have e-mailed the manger of Cowans as well as the service manager and as of yet I do not have any response. -
