I went to Cowles because my parents have bought several cars there. I needed a new car and got the job done -- even got better options than I originally looked at. We made the pricing work. It took some time but I heard that's pretty typical. I'm very happy with my new car.

Lindsey Stowell made the experience easy for us. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She took the time to make sure our needs were met and she followed up after the sale to ensure our continued satisfaction. Jerry in the Finance Department went the extra mile to come in on his day off to expedite the process. We appreciated his willingness to work with our time constraints to finalize the paperwork.

Horrible Dealership & People

HORIFFIC experience & the most irresponsible dealership/staff I have ever come across. I would warn everyone to NOT get trapped by Cowles Ford’s sweet talk and I’d suggest you take your business literally anywhere else if you want to save massive headache and dollars. I bought a Ford Mustang from these folks (one of their highest grossing cars) and 4 months later, I still don’t have the title, permanent plates or registration for the car. Not only that, for several weeks they would not send me temp plates/tags and I couldn’t drive to work or go anywhere (This is all while I’m making my monthly payments for this car promptly). During thanksgiving I could not drive to see family and had to find expensive alternatives to travel. I could not go shopping or even take my sick mom to the hospital. This Cowles Ford dealership would then not take my calls, when I’d request them to send temporary plates/tags while they figure out the title for my car. Mind you, I bought this car in September, the dealership did NOT EVEN OWN THE CAR, when they sold it to me. 4 Months on and they still don’t even own the title or registration of the car and they’ve decided to try and shove me under the rug so that no one finds out about it. If you’d ever like to speak to a manager at this place, good luck because they’ll be extremely nice to you before you buy the car, but will take you on a bad bad ride once you’ve paid them for it. Service: Horrendous, Staff: Horrible people By far the worst of the worst dealerships I have come across in the United States. Beware!

Best buying experience in 45 years

Over the course of 45 years I have purchased over 11 vehicles either for myself or my wife and/or sister. This has been the most positive experience yet. The price was right (less than what I expected). The "after market" experience for running boards and bed liner had a slight kick-up, but I am not in a rush for that install.

From the time my wife and I walked into the dealership Ahmad was all over it. All questions we asked were answered immediately and if he didn’t know the answer he wasn’t gone very long to get it. Ahmad was very patient and understanding of what we were looking for in our purchase. This was one of the fastest and most comfortable experiences we’ve had in purchasing a vehicle... ever!

No BS - Great Service

My positive experience started with Nini - when I called in to get a quote she didn't feed me any lines about "coming in to get the best price" or "come in quick because this car will be gone tomorrow", she and Hal offered me a price that beat their competition on the first go round. Luis took care of me when I arrived and did an excellent job insuring that the process went smooth and that I got the terms I was looking for. Moe, despite a small hiccup, also made sure that I got a good rate that made sense to me. Happy with both the car and the experience, would definitely go back.

Great Experience

I have never in my life had such a pleasant experience dealing with a car company. They were the best. Mo Sagel was fantastic. I traveled from the state of N.J. and did not know what would happen once there. From the moment I met Mo Sagel he took me under his wing and took care of me. It was the most fun I have had in a dealership. I use to hate the process of buying a new car, but Cowles changed my mind on that. Everyone I came in contact with could not be nicer, from Penny who gave me a welcome gift to Solomen who took care of my contract but Mr. Mo Sagel was my favorite. Great experience, great car, great people

Initially saw the car online, by far the lowest price for similar vehicles. Contacted the dealer and set up an appointment, they had the exact vehicle I saw online ready when we showed up and the pictures online were very accurate of the condition. The price was as advertised, and they found additional savings when titling it. Great experience would definitely but from them again.

Started out great. Once you decide on a vehicle and get into the negotiating process other unexplained charges (accessories) appear on the paperwork. So now you ask, what is this or that charge then haggle those charges off. When you ask the salesman to show you the paper we were writing numbers on 5 mins ago he can't show you now because he says he already shredded it. Really? We spread documents in the middle of negociations? You are supposed to feel you got a deal but all you did is get that bogus charge removed and they sell for the original asking price. Finance guy charges $689 for paperwork even though it's a cash deal and he still gets the title information wrong. Now, we did complete the deal and love the vehicle, but I don't have a feeling of honesty from them. Just my opinion...

I was forced into buying a new car due to an accident that totaled my car the week before. I went in with a specific car in mind and within 5 minutes Gail, my Sales Rep, had me on the road for a test drive. She worked with me during the whole experience and really was so caring and understanding to my needs and budget. I never felt pushed by her or judged for my budget. She was wonderful! Jerry, from Finance was also great. He made the painful experience of numbers and paperwork enjoyable.

Hassle-free buying and great service department

I did my homework on an F-150 and shopped a couple of dealers. Cowles was straightforward on selection and price. Did the deal quickly and obtained good financing. That was five years ago. Since then, they have been very responsive on service. They always do what they say and have kept the truck in good shape. 100,000 miles of hassle-free driving. I'll be back next time I'm in the market for a Ford.

Great Staff!!

I am thoroughly satisfied with everyone I've dealt with at this dealership. I've now used all of their departments and each are staffed with people that definitely go out of their way to help. I recently bought a Certified Pre-Owned Mustang and had not bought a used car since my mid 20's. They took the time to explain each component of the programs and presented me with all of my options. It safer to buy a certified preowned now that it used to be. The Service department I've been using for about 1 1/2 years for the servicing of my truck. They work with your schedule to get you taken care of. All around a great staff and I would strongly recommend this location vice some of the other Ford dealers in the area that I've already dealt with. You won't be sorry!!

Sold the vehicle I wanted and failed to notify me.

I live 2 hours away from here but I was interested in a specific vehicle on the lot so I scheduled a test drive for 8pm on a Friday night. The day of the test drive I received two e-mails from two different people at the dealership confirming my test drive (one at 10am, one at 6pm). When I arrived in the evening, it was only to be informed that they had sold the vehicle that morning and were apparently incapable of noticing they had other interested customers and contacting them. Needless to say, we were pretty frustrated to waste over 4 hours of our night on this. While the people present (not the same as those who had e-mailed me earlier) were polite enough, it doesn't change the fact that their dependence on their apparently automated e-mail system is a recipe for terrible customer service. I will obviously not do business with them because of this incident and I intend to deter everyone I know from dealing with them. To top it off, I received another automated e-mail today thanking me for coming and providing more information on the vehicle which is no longer available.

Waste of time

This was a month ago. It was time to buy a car, so I got a car loan from my bank and was finally able to do some serious car shopping. I checked out Cowles Ford because it was close-by, man was I so wrong. Classic bait and switch... Went here to buy a Ford Fiesta SE for an AGREED UPON PRICE, it was even stated in the email for 12500, this turned out to be false. I down at the dealership signing all these papers thinking I got this car for exactly 12500. Turns out I did not qualify for some student rebate, which I AM A College student! I gave them a printed copy of my transcripts then the guy is gone for a long time maybe 40 minutes. Then he comes back to me with a way higher price than before with an extra $750 tagged onto the price. Then had the nerve to ask me about my rate that I got from my bank for the loan and asking me to finance with them after I clearly said I already had a loan and DO NOT NEED FINANCING. I walked right out after that. Avoid this place if you want to save time and easily just purchase a car. Wouldn't even rate this place with a one star lol. Overall terrible experience and they still have not even apologized.

Awful finance manager

Finance manager was incredibly rude and even suggested at one point that a slightly lower APR should not matter. Started at almost 4% and they agreed to beat 3.2. Wanted me to start signing documents without seeing final rate. Finally after I push back, the rate comes down again, when they actually run a credit check. When I say I am not committing to buy the car because I did not appreciate the games and all the back the forth -- simply expected the best APR right off that bat -- the finance manager gets testy and tells me he's not doing to do 'all that work' again for me again if I come back. Competing dealership beat them easily on financing by having me complete an online credit form in 5 minutes. Have visited about 10 area dealerships and have never been treated so rudely as I was here by the finance manager.

I would not recommend this dealer.

bait and switch?

I expressed interest in a car that I saw on Carguru and within hours I received numerous emails from the dealership, Cowles Parkway Ford in Woodbridge. One of their salespersons, Joyce, sent me a half dozen emails stating that this particular car was still available and urging me to make the one hour drive to their dealership to see this car. At the same time, I checked the Cowles online inventory to read more about this car and this car was not listed. I immediately sent an email to Joyce and asked if they actually had this car and our email correspondence abruptly stopped. A day later, Joyce sent me an email to inform me that the car had just sold. I am certain that this car had already been sold before Joyce asked me to visit their dealership and from this experience I will not even consider buying a car from Cowles Ford.

I would not recommend this dealer.
