Mileage listed inaccurate

By PJS on 8/16/2019 at 1:27 AM. Helped by Russell Perkins.

We requested information about a vehicle we saw online and asked a few extra questions and e-mailed back and forth a few times about it, explaining that we wanted to be sure it was a good likelihood of buying because we had to drive 2 hours. We went to the dealership and went to test-drive the vehicle we had been discussing and found that the information we had been given (both in the initial ad, the extra information and the carfax we were sent by email) all had the mileage listed at 25,000 miles but the vehicle actually had 47,000 miles on the odometer. I could understand a slight discrepancy due to test drives, but to advertise it at just over half the actual miles looked like a bait and switch. The salesman stated that he expected it to sell pretty quickly anyway because he expected someone would come in and decide the mileage wasn't that important to them. We drove 2 hours each way expecting to buy a car only to find that one of the most basic pieces of information had been grossly misrepresented. After this, we wouldn't buy a car here under any circumstances, because I can't trust a business that either lies to their customers or is careless enough to make this kind of mistake. I just looked at their website now, well over 24 hours after our wasted trip and after making them very aware of the false advertising and the vehicle is still there with the same mileage listing. Not correcting this after they were certainly aware of the problem makes me convinced it was an intentional bait and switch.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Amazing!

By Kimlands on 5/16/2019 at 3:25 AM. Helped by Brantly Steele.

So I had totalled my car and found a good deal online with this dealership. I called the next morning and asked about it and the guy was nice, said it was available and that he would set the keys aside. Within a couple of hours I went to check it out and the guy I talked to was busy with another customer. But Brantly Steele was quick to help us out. He said he had only been there for about a week but had previous experience with selling cars. He located the keys and helped us look at the car, all the features and even let us drive it around the block. He was extremely nice and had a great sense of humor. While we waited for him to fill out paper work with the managers he pointed us to the refreshments and food, (popcorn and hotdogs ?). After he helped us out with everything and I was about to drive the car off the lot he had brought up the keycode on the driver side door, I had never used them before because noone ever knew them. But he went above and beyond to find the code and was successful. He made my experience amazing and I'm so glad that I went to this dealership! Brantly Steele is a great new addition to this dealerships team! Good luck Brantly! 😁

They were amazing, considering my situation

By Patric Pederson on 4/5/2019 at 3:28 PM. Helped by Zac Harris.

I was on a long distance journey from Raleigh, NC to Dallas, TX and when I was entering Nashville, my Accord informed me that my collision mitigation braking system was experiencing a fault and as such my cruise control (adaptive and standard) would not function anymore (something that you don't want on a long highway trip). I asked Siri to find me a local Honda dealership and she came back with Crest and I am very happy she did. I called them and the service adviser I spoke to was very welcoming and told me to get the car there as fast as possible. When I arrived there 20-30 minutes later, I was greeted by Zac Harris. This man was the friendliest, knowledgeable, and most accommodating service rep I have dealt with. I explained my predicament and he assured me they would take a look at it shortly. Probably 90 minutes later, he told me I was good to go. The code that came up was apparently a temporary code and simply turning the vehicle off and on would have cleared it. He explained all that to me and when I expressed the fact I felt like an idiot for wasting his time, he assured me I did the right thing. With that, I got into my car (which for good measure they washed) and drove off. That interaction was enough to cause me to write this glowing review. However, the real cherry on top came about 2 hours later when Zac called me to check me and make sure everything was fine. I felt very valued. Sadly, I probably won't ever do business with them again but if I were a Nashville resident, they would be my dealer.

I would recommend this dealer.

I wasn't born yesterday

By tracyfrigm on 3/12/2019 at 6:53 PM. Helped by Kenneth Wahl.

I came in on Saturday, 3/9 for an oil change and a recall that needed to be done. It was a great experience right up until I got the bill. I had an overhead dome light that needed a new bulb put in. I bought the bulbs at Napa Auto Parts, but was unsure on how to get the dome light cover off without breaking it. I asked if while they had it in there, they would put the new bulb in. They charged me $19.95, but were "kind" enough to take 10% off, ultimately charging me $17.95 to pop a bulb in. I understand charging me something, but that was just ridiculous.

Shockingly Unprofessional

By Colly1 on 9/27/2018 at 6:38 PM. Helped by Matt West.

The manager of the Crest Honda in Nashville, and the service manager, treated my family with the utmost disrespect. It is hard to understand, since we own an aging Honda and could have soon been in the market for a new one (but we will never purchase one again). Avoid this place at all costs. Unethical, unprofessional. Plus service is twice what it costs at the much better Music City Honda.

Never going back

By carbuyer on 7/17/2018 at 2:02 AM. Helped by Ramon.

I would never recommend Crest Honda to anyone. I bought a 2011 Nissan Juke and waited over an hour for it to get inspected and cleaned. After buying the car on a Saturday, it stopped working on Wednesday - only 4 days later! It is a push to start and the sensor wasn't picking up on the fact that I was pushing the brake so I couldn't even get my car to turn on. I had to look up Youtube videos on how to find a temporary fix. The next day I took my car back to Crest Honda hoping they would be able to at least take a look at it. When I walked in, the man who helped me with paperwork a couple days prior was at the front. He immediately shamed me for not buying a warranty on the car and actually laughed at me when I asked for them to look at it. It was baffling how rude he was. The salesman I worked with said he talked to the manager who said he would only look at my car if it was a problem with the battery. Because I didn't buy the warranty, they wouldn't help me at all. I hadn't even had my car for a WEEK when I had problems and this dealership not only wouldn't do anything about it, but was extremely rude in the process! I can't believe they can continue to operate with the level of disrespect they show towards customers. We are spending thousands of dollars on these vehicles and they could care less about what happens once they get your money. I will never be returning here to buy another car and I suggest you look somewhere else that actually cares about customer satisfaction.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Terrible, absolutely unreasonable

By gg1784 on 7/7/2018 at 3:07 AM. Helped by Fred.

The sales department is terrible. Although the sales person was knowledgeable, when we called back to make an offer, the sales person said that the price had gone up by $2,000. Several days later, they said it had gone up another $2,000. Keep in mind that this was a new car, but last year's model. I ended up buying from another dealer for almost $4,000 less with almost no negotiation. It's been almost a month and Crest hasn't sold any of the 20 models they have on their lot and their prices keep going up! I don't know what Crest is thinking, but they certainly don't sell vehicles for a fair price. Everyone else in the area had far lower prices.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Former Long Time Customer

By chrisgagner on 10/12/2017 at 4:04 PM. Helped by Randall.

My wife & I have purchased several Hondas from Crest Honda in the past, and always had a great experience. However, our most recent visit has been horrible enough to never go back. We went to Crest in search of a CR-V. They didn't have the color in stock that we wanted, but said that they're sister dealership in Chattanooga had one. They could have it by the next day. They required a $500 deposit, that the salesperson ensured me would be refundable if we decided to not do the deal (and believe me... I asked him several times to be sure). The next day came and went, and we heard nothing from them. When we contacted them to inquire on whether they had received our CR-V, they informed us that they were still "searching" for the vehicle they had previously told us they could have shipped immediately. We decided to go to another dealership & buy the vehicle there, but Crest Honda has so far refused to return our $500 refundable deposit that we made on a specific car that they could not get. We have been waiting for the return of the deposit for over a month. We finally filed a dispute with the credit card company. Our most recent experience may have been unique. And again.. we've had good experiences with them in the past. Crest quickly went from being our first choice to our last. I don't think I could ever see myself trusting them or giving them any business in the future.

They said they would order part that was under warranty. They forgot to order it, but said they would get from another dealership. They said come on in Saturday and we will fix it. We drive 60 miles to get there and they say they can't find it. So we have to drive 60 miles back home without the car being fixed. Should have called us when they knew they didn't have part. Get your Honda fixed somewhere else

The Only Place to Buy a Car!

By strings1 on 3/15/2017 at 1:25 PM. Helped by Nate, Ben.

We have purchased two new Honda vehicles from Crest over the course of the past 3 years and in both instances I worked with Nate. We drive almost 150 miles to deal with them and it would be worth a trip twice that for the level of customer service and the competitive pricing. They are fair on their prices and generous with their trade-in allowances. There was no high-pressure tactics and the finance mangers present you with options without being over-bearing or pushy about it. Great dealership!

Nate Allen was awesome. Within ten minutes of he and I talking on the phone, he had gone out to the lot, found a vehicle, shot a personalized video of a walk around and sent it to me. Highly recommend that you talk to this guy. As a vet himself, he related well with me. Come on down and see Nate!

Something changed

By Bob on 2/13/2017 at 2:22 PM. Helped by Service manager, dieprek,.

I have bought two cars from Crest and have exclusively had them serviced there. Until the last three months I was very satisfied. I called to schedule an appointment for the airbag recall. I asked how long it would take and due to the time requested a loaner. I asked if I needed an appointment for a loaner and could not understand the answer. The rep got frustrated and put me on hold. A man came on the phone and again I had trouble understanding his answer to my question. He told me he had answered my question and had taken care of my problem. He was getting angry at what seemed to be my failure to understand him. I asked him about this and he got angrier. I asked to speak to the manager. He said he was the manager. I asked to speak to his boss. He told me he was the boss. I did take the car in and the service rep was fine. I got an email from the General Manager, Robert Holly about service and responded to him with my concerns. Never heard back. Being a creature of habit I took my wife's car in for an oil change. Called and was told no appointment needed. The service rep who greeted me was training a new rep and seemed more interested in his needs than mine. After an hour and 1/2 I located him and asked him the status. He said the were busy and it would be awhile. I asked why he hadn't told me this before. No response. The finally finished and did comp the oil change. I won't be back.

Helpful to the wee hours

By rpryor on 2/12/2017 at 5:45 PM. Helped by Nate Allen, Corey Mooney, Kevin Lyke.

Nate, Corey, Kevin, Terry... all super helpful in getting me a certified 2014 Honda Accord Sport. I was tight on time (infant at home, limited time to shop), and they were willing to stay after hours to help me get through all the paperwork and such. No eye rolling or heavy sighs when I (because I'm picky) decided at the last minute to change my choice of vehicle (better deal!!). And while Nate Allen likes to be known as the Singing Salesman, I never got a tune. BUT! He did let me play his mandolin while I waited.
