Deceitful & Unprofessional

By Upset on 7/4/2019 at 12:22 PM. Helped by Jerry Romero Texca.

I brought my car in to have the oil changed on my 335i & to also checked fluids since coolant level was low. I was told the car was ready & as ERIC Laurent pulls the car around discovers no coolant was ever put in! I questioned this & he himself went to get a service tech to put coolant in, but no tech was available. He then proceeds to put coolant in himself & tells me to have a good day. I leave the dealership & the next day the coolant is leaking from the car & he tells me to bring it back in, due to the service report, there wasn’t any leaks. The following day the car is bought back in & the advisor totally ignores I’m there & when he does he has an attitude as if I’m the problem. I cordially explains the issues with the car & he tells me to get my personal belongings & he would call later with a diagnosis. 10 min to close, I call because no one has yet to call me & he proceeds to tell me I need a new car, new engine, etc & that he is willing to buy the car from me!!!??? REALLY!!! What is going on here?!!!!! Finally I have my car towed from there & found out all that I really needed was the serpentine belt that broke off!!!! Really deceitful & underhanded if you ask me & I felt as though I was taken advantage of, needless to say, I feel the “work” that was done never happened. I would NEVER bring my car back here & I was a customer there for the 3 years I’ve owned my BMW .

I would not recommend this dealer.

Rude and unethical

By virtueera on 7/2/2019 at 12:24 AM. Helped by Shawn.

I took my BMW to Crown BMW due to a warning light came on indicating "drive train malfunction". They diagnosed the problem and charge me $499 to fix it. Approximately three days later the warning light returned indicating "drive train malfunction". The service associate Eric Laurent informed me that it was a different issue "the technician smoke-tested the air intake system to check for leaks, and he found the Inlet Pipe going to the Turbo has broken. After conferring with the technician, we think the best course of action is to replace this inlet pipe and reassess the situation. At that time we'll know if any further action will be needed to eliminate these new fault codes and get rid of the drivetrain malfunction message". Even then they were requesting me to pay an additional $791 dollars they weren't sure that would fix the issue either. I then decided to pick up my car and I received another warning "low engine coolant" I went to add the coolant and discovered that Crown BMW left the hose to the engine coolant totally off. I contacted Shawn the service manager to inform him of the issue and my experience his response to my complaint "this is harassment and there are legalities in that as well". I felt that he was trying to bully of scare me because I informed him that I wrote a Google review and contacted BMW corporate offices.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Never Experienced such rude and unprofessional manner

By L.Cade on 5/6/2019 at 4:47 PM. Helped by Chris Underwwod and manager names Sean.

The worst place. I went here to get an oil change 5/3/19 and 20 minutes when I left my check engine light came on. Also when I got home I checked the oil level and it said no oil was in my car. I immediately called and left message for Chris Underwood to call me back about this situation. He never called me back so I called and spoke to the manager Sean which was very rude and unprofessional. He stated if no oil was in your car then it wouldn't run. I stated well if Crown did an oil change then when I check the oil level it should show I have oil in my car. I told him before I dropped off my car I checked and took a picture of the oil level before and after my oil change. So they had a tow company come pick the car up from my house and took it to Crown. Crown BMW sent the report to my email at 5:10pm and there service department closed at 5:00pm. I asked him Monday morning why would you send the report after 5:00pm if you were closed. So we went to Crown BMW Monday morning 5/6/19 at 7:30 right when the service department. Chris Underwood stated my car was on the lift and it would take 30-45 minutes to get someone to take it off the lift. So I said okay. As time passed it became 9:00am before I left with my car...unacceptable. They made us pay for the towing $75.00 which was not right because this was Crown BMW mistakenly didn't put oil in my car or they forgot to reset the oil level. After we paid for it we asked them for corporate number and Chris Underwood made a comment and said Google it. I stated if a customer asks you for your corporate number you are supposed to give it to them. Chris and his manager Sean were very rude and unprofessional. Chris Underwood tried to fight me and the manager Sean stated DONT COME BACK TO CROWN BMW ANYMORE..... I have never experienced this at BMW but they have lost a customer. I will not come back there or make any purchase from there and I will spread the word to my family and friends. Don't not go here anymore. Also after they finished my oil change they gave me a list of technician recommendation the only thing it had was light bulb to be replaced, washer fluid reservoir tube to be replaced, and brake job was in fair condition. After the check engine light came on now the technician says I need a new battery and my spark plugs/coils need to be replaced all this happened? I asked how come this battery and spark plus/coils was not identified on the recommendation sheet after the oil change. No one could answer that but now all of a sudden it’s on my recommendation list 20 minutes after I drove away and the check engine light came on. No one could answer to why this happened.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Deceptive Internet Sales Practice

By mskwiot on 5/5/2019 at 5:07 AM. Helped by James Hodges, Matt (false sales manager), some front line telemarketer.

It should be known that Crown BMW uses a remote call center (CDZ through their parent company, Asbury Automotive) for their internet sales. I was attempting to purchase a car from them, ready to place a deposit after requesting the inspection and shipping information. The first person I talked to was obviously reading from a script and even had a Greensboro caller ID. He obviously had no idea about any of the questions I had and had to send me to the "Crown BWM Sales Manager" named Matt who said he would email me this info. I attempted to discuss price and he said to wait until he got me this information. Two and a half hours later I received an email from the real Sales Manger, Jim, telling me that he just sold the car. Jim told me that the people that I spoke with earlier were from Atlanta and did not know what was actually going on at the dealership. This is a very deceptive sales process and in this case resulted in me loosing the car that I have been searching for for several months. If I knew the someone else may have been interested in the car I would have know that someone this I would have placed my deposit down then. I have read the other negative reviews for Crown BMW and the owner or other representative always has a nice canned customer service response and asks to contact the person. Unfortunately there is nothing to do to remedy this! The car has been sold and I just hope that this didn't happen after I called to make an offer! Be aware of this dealer using this practice.

I feel it just doesn’t get any better than this-

By Vicky on 12/20/2018 at 8:25 PM. Helped by Sam!.

It is with pleasure that I write this review, taking the opportunity to thank and praise Samar (Sam) Amleh at Crown BMW. We had some minor problems with our current BMW and felt it could be repaired in a timely fashion but had fallen out of love with it over the last year😒 I thought I knew what I wanted but wasn’t totally sure and was frustrated without my car even though we were lucky to get a very nice loaner while ours was being fixed. Then Sam called! It’s rare to find an individual in sales who is both professional, knowledgable and personable as well as someone who is attentive and able to explain things thoroughly and completely. He said he thought he could help us find what we wanted if we did want to make a change and asked if we would give him that opportunity. He said he wanted to earn our business. Everyone at Crown bent over backwards to get us into our new car in one day and ready for our road trip so close to Christmas. Pam, Mark, Eric and Doug we’re simply great. Sam however, had me at: ‘Hello, I’m Sam.”

By Roy L 2828 on 12/7/2018 at 2:01 PM. Helped by Sam Amleh.

SAM AMLEH was the best salesman I have ever had, very courteous, professional and upfront from the beginning specially for me being a buyer from out of state. He took his time to even show my wife and I the car using Facetime which made the purchase much easier. The dealership facility was immaculate, nice staff, documentation process was fast so I highly recommend CROWN BMW OF GREENSBORO to anybody looking for a good, swift deal! Thank you Sam!

Personalized Sales

By CDLive1 on 10/12/2018 at 6:30 PM.

My experience with Crown BMW in Greensboro is nothing short of spectacular. Marty Shelton responded to my online query about my car within less than a hour. He had all the information ready when he called. Once I made my decision to visit the dealership, he was very flexible considering my difficult schedule. When I arrived the car was ready for me. The rest of sale was super easy. Marty took care of all my concerns without “back and forth” with the sales team. The story truly does not stop there. Once the car had been delivered, Marty contacted me to make sure everything had been taken care of and that if I had any issues to make sure he knew. Thanks again to Crown and Marty for making this a great purchase! I’ll be back.

Buyer Beware

By Rugsqecs on 10/7/2018 at 11:20 AM.

Bought 2009 Mini Clubman JCW with a service contract. Turns out the car had plastic throughout the engine block from overheating. Service contract wouldn't cover the repair. The dealer offered me a thousand dollars towards a $10,000 engine replacements. I had to get their corporate office involved. Even with that I had to shell out $3,000 for the repair. On top of that the dealer told me they don't work on Mini Coopers even though they are made by BMW! The turbo they provided with the replacement engine has now failed. Of course it's not covered by the warranty that came with the replacement engine. As you can guess Crown BMW won't stand behind their lemon.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Stay away from Crown BMW

By John on 4/26/2018 at 8:01 PM. Helped by Keldin.

I tried to get new x5 from Crown BMW a week ago, after talking to two young salesmen, I decided to get a CPO X5 so I can save something. finally I found out one from their web site, talked to saleman and tested drive so I decided to purchase this car. After making appointment for today, when I went to Crown BMW Dealer, Salesman told me car was sold. before I went to Crown dealer, I texted salesman, He told car was still available and He didn't see anyone to purchase this car. Totally lie, cheating. Crown BMW Dealer doesn't have any credit at all, totally can't be trusted. if you want to buy BMW, STAY AWAY FROM CROWN DEALER, GO TO OTHERS BMW DEALER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET CHEATED AND WASTE TIME. go to others of BMW dealer. take my words, stay away from Crown BMW Dealer!!

Horrible Customer Service

By Beamer1234 on 4/9/2018 at 10:29 PM. Helped by Andrew Myers.

After getting repairs done that cost a hefty fee, the least the people there could do is provide quality customer service. I had to deal with Andrew Myers, a snippy representative who at one point threw his arms in the air and gasped condescendingly after I asked an innocent question about a service light. I then asked why the roadworthiness test light was on and he gave me a dirty look and said "roadworthiness?" as if I were speaking a foreign language. He apparently didn't even know the term or that the light had a name in reference to it in the BMW manual. It's one thing to spend almost 1200 at a dealership. That's to be expected. At the very least though, treat your customers with respect.

BAIT AND SWITCH-these people are LIARS!

By WrongGirltoMessWith on 3/31/2018 at 1:18 PM. Helped by Manager.

There was one price listed online for an SUV; I called and had the price confirmed by 2 different sales people and was even told that the price was going to go up in two days because they were having a special end of month sale. I was driving from an 1 1/2 hr. away so my husband called and confirmed the price again while I was driving and confirmed the availability. He made an appointment for me with the sales manger (the person that sits in the "booth" and makes final decisions on price) and with the finance manager. I was 1/2 hr. away and they called back to say the SUV was sold. My husband went online and saw that they reposted it online at a higher price! When I got there they kept changing their story about the online price being a mistake-I said that was understandable BUT then why did 3 different people confirm the price! They then tried to sell me a more expensive car. I have them on a recording saying that the SUV was sold-then why was it still listed online at a higher price and how did it sell when it was supposed to be on HOLD?!!! They lied to my face and I have then on a recording. Trying to decide whether to sue for fraud. BBB will be notified. YELP has already received a review and every other online media as well as maybe the news crews on tv may be notified. SHAME ON THIS DEALERSHIP! I took a half day off from work and trusted your team who verbally confirmed the price 3 times.

"No Help Even When Buying"

By Cambro1268 on 11/15/2017 at 2:04 AM. Helped by Didnt work with anyone thats the problem.

I had been corresponding with GM of Crown BMW about trading my 2015 X3 for an 2018 X3. I mention via email I will be by Saturday (11/11) to look at X3s and likely purchased if deal could be made. When I got at dealership I walked around and blue X3 on showroom floor caught my eye. As I was showing interest even taking pictures because I really liked and wanted that X3 nobody including salespersons ask me did I needed help and they wasnt busy, just walking around after 15-20 minutes I left. Later the GM apologized which I feel was geniune and wanted another opportunity to make it right by then I felt so disrespected I probably wont give them that opportunity and take my business to Flow BMW where they really know how to treat CUSTOMERS!!!

Bait and switch letter

By babette on 7/29/2017 at 9:45 PM. Helped by Dont remember his name..

We got a letter with a specific price on a NEW Z4. When we got to the dealership, even though they said the letter came from them, they had no such car. The only one the had was over 10,000 dollars more than advertised and was not new. Needless to say, we wasted our time to go in to this dealership. Not pleased at ALL with this dealership.

Poor service work

By Disappointed750 on 1/25/2017 at 6:53 PM. Helped by David Good.

I am disappointed to the fact that I don't even want my 750i anymore. I was out of town before Christmas, car was leaking coolant. Took it in to have it repaired. I was charged 913.00. I drove my car back to SC, a message came on telling me my engine is overheating. I took it to Century BMW, they said it was air pockets in the water pump as well as little silver particles in the coolant (which I saw with my own eyes). My car is a motor sport package which had a blockage causing my engine to overheat. I'm furious bc why would a so call certified technician not find this when replacing my water pump, not to mention send me on a 3 hour drive home in a car that wasn't safe. I called David Good (advisor) who basically apologized for the air pockets in the water pump. Basically told me that the water pump is the only thing they were responsible for. I did not take my car to a mom and pop repair shop, I took my car to a certified dealership. I have lost faith in the overpriced "certified dealerships". My engine wasn't even cleaned off, the car was half cleaned. I'm very disappointed and do not recommend this dealership to anyone. The most frustrating thing is nobody wants to take responsibility for not doing their job. Why would the technician do a full check around the engine to make sure they're aren't any other underlying issues. When I took my car in originally, it was making a loud knocking sound (due to the water pump). My question is, why was it making an even louder noice when I pulled up in my drive way. I really feel like bc I'm a woman, they're either purposely not doing their job correctly or just don't care. Everything could have been fixed at once. Now my car is in the shop at Century BMW, 900 more dollars to fix. I'm exhausted from this situation, I've missed work because of it. I don't have time for the middle man anymore. I will be filling a complaint straight with corporate. I have no patience left in me. The two repair shops keep pointing the finger at the other. I will say that Century BMW was more willing to help as far as a loaner car and reimbursement for the rental. Crown BMW basically said we fixed your water pump, your own Your on with the rest. I had to take another day off to consult with an attorney. My car NEVER should have been allowed to leave that shop!!

I would not recommend this dealer.
