Not recomanded.

By Evolutionx1 on 9/22/2018 at 5:49 PM. Helped by Other.

I contacted them and inquired regarding one of the vehicles on their lot. Shortly after I was contacted by one of the sales rep. I was informed that vehicle is a excellent condition I was even quoted a price which was lower than the advertised price on the net. Next day I went to the dealership. Right from the start I observed the vehicle had damage to couple body panels. Also the price that I was quoted on the phone was no longer valid. They knew that I was coming from different state over 120 miles away to pick up the car. I do not recommend this dealership.

The Worst dealership there is ever!

By Very umhappy customer of CROWNS on 6/14/2018 at 6:58 PM. Helped by ANYONE INVOLVED WEITH MY SALE WAS A TOTAL LIER AND BULL ARTIST NOT TO BE TRUSTED EVER!.

I bought a used van from this place only to find out they never checked out the van at all, they were supposed to do a 130 point check which I felt was a good thin=g to do for the used van I was buying from them. Unfortunately for me they did not even bother to open the hood at all, the battery thermals were total full of corrosion and the battery box that the battery was in was half full of water, I found this out when I had to replace the battery the next day after getting the van, that cost me about $200, and then I took my Grand kids to Great Wolf Lodge, it would not start after getting there and checking in, had to have it towed to a car shop to fix it, they told me the charging system was bad and they had to replace the alternator which cost me over $700 more on top of the cost of the van and the new battery. I called Todd the service manger there and got his voice mail and of course never heard back from him, I went to the dealership and they would not do anything about the problems or anything at all to make me happy with my purchase from them . STAY AWAY FROM ANY CRWONS IF THEY TEART THEIR CUSTOMERS THIS WAY! IF I HAVE MADE SDOMEONE NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM THEN AT LEAST I SAVED THAT PERSON FROM THRE BULL I GOT FROM THEM!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Bad service

By Dwhit123 on 12/26/2016 at 2:52 PM. Helped by Melvin Brower.

Hello my name is Duane Whitlock and I am writing to address my dissatisfaction with the service that I received from the service department and the issues that they have caused to me. Well for starters my initial interaction was not met very well when I went in for diagnostic service. I explained to the gentleman that my car needed a full diagnostic and that I noticed I was also loosing power. I overheard him quote one customer a diagnostic fee of $125, and then when he got to me he told me the diagnostic was $169. I asked him what was the difference between mines and the other customer. He looked at me peculiar because he was unaware that I overheard him quote the older white gentleman a lower cost. The rep was rude and stated “oh ok, well ill give it to you at that price”. When I explained to him the issue with the car, he would not let me finish my statement and replied, “ we will take care of it”. I was already upset and said fine. Alter they checked the car which took less than an hour; he said that it was the alternator. I asked about the other diagnostics as well and he said that he couldn't find the paperwork and that the first thing the came across was the alternator issue. I asked him about what other issues do the check for and he replied yet again “everything”. He came back with a quote for the alternator service. I asked him about the other issues I felt was wrong with the car and he replied that he didn't have the paperwork yet to show what else was going on with the car. He quoted me prices for the alternator and I thought it was too pricey and stated that my wife was too order one and the rep said that they could put it in my car. Well we ordered one to have it put on through the Volvo service center despite how the rep treated me. Well when it arrived my wife was not happy with how the rep treated us compared to the other customers upon our return. We called and found someone else who could put the alternator on after the same service center rep stated that he could not find our keys for over 2 hours. He found a set of keys and asked me were they my keys and I explained to him that they were not my keys. He told another Volvo rep “an older black gentlemen” to go and try the key anyway. I replied that they weren’t my keys; he said that they were the same key to a Volvo S80 and that they would try the key. Well when they tried the key after I stated that they weren’t my keys, he said that the key fit into the slot and that they had to use a jump box the try to start the car, but the key would not ignite. I said yes because that wasn't my key. The same service center rep said to me “I gave you your key when you first got here last week” I replied sir you didn't give me my key, and why would I have my key. He said I remember that I gave you the key. My wife was getting pissed because the service rep was rude and talking to us like this in front of customers. Well as I explained 2 hours later he found the key and said “I just remembered where I put it” They went out to move the car across the street for the tow truck to move the car and I immediately realized that the key would not work remotely as it did when I first brought the car in for service, nor did he give me the full diagnostic papers. I went right back into the building and asked him about both. The rep stated that he would have to charge me for another diagnostic. I asked him about the first one and he acted as if I never requested one. And about the key fob not working he said that he knew nothing about that. I asked him did his insertion of the other key into the fob break the ejection and cause the (immobilizer see manual) to come on and he stated that his insertion of a wrong key into the system would not trigger that to come on. I explained to him that something happened because within 10 minutes of being there the fob is not recognized as being my key. I started to get pretty upset and loud, then he said just bring the car back in and I will run another diagnostic. I brought the car back in on Monday and after waiting 3 hours he stated that there were some sensor issues but he was not a tech so he said he couldn't fully explain the issues to me. I asked him about the key issue and he stated that they don't check that and that that's a whole other service. I asked him why, because I felt like he did something to trigger that immobilizer to cut on and he stated that he didn't know what I was talking about, when we discussed it prior. I asked to speak to the technician, and he replied that they were busy and that I would have to wait for about an hour or more or that he could get the rep to call me. Well I am still waiting, haven’t heard from a rep, my key still isn’t recognizing my car, and the diagnostic still hasn't been explained to me. I am extremely upset because I noticed how different the “Other Customers” were treated and I felt like my family and I were treated in a form of disrespect. My family loves Volva and my mother and Aunt always buys their cars from you all. This experience has placed a sour taste in my mouth and I am not sure what to think about the brand as a whole if these are the types of practices and people that you employ to represent the Volvo service and brand.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Never purchase a used car from them

By Xjlindon on 11/3/2016 at 4:02 PM. Helped by Sales.

They sold me a used car back in march "clean" carfax Come to find out there was damage on the car which knocked the fender off and the fender clips will not stay on. When I talked to them about that they said that I didn't have a warranty so they couldn't do anything about that. I also only had one key with the vehicle that wouldn't allow me to use all the functions of the car called a MyKey and had to pay green ford after getting promised that they would take care of it. Now it's November and I have a bad battery that once again they will not do anything about.

Lack of knowledge

By HunyDip on 8/9/2016 at 3:34 PM. Helped by Can't remember their names.

I was there on Thursday, wasn't satisfied with my service. Went back to service department and the service advisor didn't seem knowledgeable of what I was talking about. Called on Friday and left a message on the service manager voice mail. Today is Tuesday and I still haven't heard from him. I'm now taking my car to s GM service department. I see 10-25 clients a day and I will share my bad experience there. Everybody knows word of mouth is the best advertising!😡

never buy used car for your good

By VVV on 3/20/2016 at 9:32 PM. Helped by Sales team.

I moved to Greensboro 6 months back and walked to this showroom to buy used car. Whole sales team and marketing on me till I brought a car with all false promises. When I reported a problem on second day they mentioned there is no issue. But after month when I gave the service and reported the same issue they charged me $500. They gave a carfrax report with no damages..but I later realized a damage at door which is not noticed as I brought the car in the evening. When I recently went to same crown dealership for new vehicle they estimated my car $9000 less than the price I purchased at Crown Volvo. So Lost #9000 in six months and also trust on the dealership. Please be aware of this and dont loose hard earned money here...

Wonderful sales staff!

By juliek on 10/12/2015 at 7:06 PM. Helped by Garrett, Yvonne.

I was recently shopping for a used car, in kind of a pressure situation (previous car died). After some initial shopping attempts that left me feeling frustrated and wary of sales people in general, I ended up working with Garrett at Crown Volvo. What a relief! From the beginning, he was professional, courteous, and put me at ease. I never felt pressured in any way. He listened to what I said in terms of what I wanted and could afford. He answered the many questions I had, never rushing, and making sure I understood things to my satisfaction. And he worked very hard to put together a deal that would work for me. From start to finish, my overwhelming sense was that he truly wanted to help me solve my problem. Thanks so much, Garrett! I was also ably assisted by Yvonne. At one point, within a space of about 20 minutes, she retrieved a new-to-market vehicle from a dealership down the street, so I could look at one other option. She, too, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very willing to help. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend Crown Volvo to anyone looking for a used car (or a brand, new beautiful Volvo!) and for sales staff who are knowledgeable, respectful, and willing to work hard for you.

Water leaks common

By volvogirl1 on 10/5/2015 at 6:57 PM. Helped by Chrissie.

I realize the Volvo XC60 has a history of leaky sunroofs, windshields, and faulty rain tubes, paint, and seals, but it is beyond me why a company of this stature can't resolve the issues. After owning 3 Volvos, and 2 of them having these issues, I've about had my feel of Volvo and this dealership. Two times on my current car, they have supposedly "fixed" the water leak problem and two times they have failed, but yet charge ridiculous prices. My rear passengers floorboard is like a foot spa to soak in, and when I brake or accelerate, it sounds like the waves in the ocean in the side pillars. Guess I should have bought a boat. What a joke. Did I mention the problem in the steering pump? Replaced reservoir because of a whine that got louder. Now, 5 months later, they tell me I need a power steering pump, because it is whining again.

Shotty Sales Job

By Volvonoshedidnt on 10/1/2015 at 2:50 PM. Helped by Garrett.

We purchased an XC-90 from Crown Volvo a couple months ago. Nothing bad to say about their cars. But they filed our paperwork wrong. We had paid to transfer our old tag (a vanity plate) to the new vehicle. Crown didn't send our tag number to the DMV. You might have imagined my surprise when a new plate showed up in the mail. I called Crown twice to have them correct this only to be told that there is nothing Crown could do about it and I have to go to the DMV License plate office. I have had to pay taxes on both plates while the DMV sorted and out and have been told by the DMV that i should be issued a refund. All of this could have been avoided if crown saw me as a person instead of a dollar sign. There are 4 other volvo dealers between Winston and Raleigh, I would see if you any of them can fill out a simple form next time.

Back Again...this is my family!

By accterp on 8/28/2015 at 4:26 AM. Helped by Ricky, Sinbad, Garrett.

Since May, two friends and me have all purchased or leased fabulous new cars from Crown Volvo. Then came this week. Monday - my father had a specific vehicle picked out on their lot. I brought him to the dealership at 1:30 pm...by 3 PM the deal was done. His dream car - got it! And...as we are waiting...my mother sees the gorgeous S60s sitting in the showroom. Garrett - who is just the BEST - answered some of her questions and long story short...SHE has a new S60 for her birthday on Wednesday! So that's 5 new Volvos for my friends, my family and me...in just 3 months. Ricky, Sinbad, Garrett, John, EVERYONE at Crown Volvo is absolutely, positively TOP NOTCH!!

A Dealer with Integrity and Respect

By wbrackett65 on 7/19/2015 at 10:08 PM. Helped by John Smith, Sinbad, Cameron(Crown Honda).

John Smith and the guys at Crown Volvo were awesome. This was above and beyond the typically car buying experience. John met us within seconds of us getting out of our car. Had he not been so inviting we might have hopped back in the car and driven off to another dealership based on some of the sticker prices we saw. John worked with us to find a vehicle that was best for our lives and budget. Step by step he was there and just when we thought we weren't going to be able to make it work, John went in and fought for us to ensure we were getting the best deal on our trade-in and on the vehicle we wanted to purchase. We showed up at the dealership around eleven and talked cars and numbers through lunch. John was kind enough to make sure we had food and water. Once we found the right vehicle we moved to the finance department where Cameron(from Crown Honda) took care of business in a hurry making sure we had everything we needed to drive off the lot safely. This is only the beginning of the relationship with Crown--my family will definitely be back for all of our car buying needs. Thanks guys--I appreciate the consummate respect and integrity you gave me and my family throughout the process. You all were outstanding.

pushy offensive greedy credit mongers

By carbuyer33 on 6/12/2015 at 5:43 AM. Helped by several, both female and males, sales and sales management but mostly the female sales person, krystal..

Very pushy, blew up my phone 3 to 5 times a day!!! I had interest in one and I mean just ONE car, it got sold so they insisted i consider other cars, argued with me when i politely declined stating my heart was set on the kind they had just sold. I even told them i found the same car on another dealer lot and purchased the car and they continue to run my credit!!!!??? The last credit letter I got was run on 6th which is 3 weeks after I told them I bought a car elsewhere, I never even signed a credit authorization. I'm very upset, each time they do that my score gets hit w points lost and I'm trying to buy a house. They just don't listen and clearly don't care, The sales lady sent me a three page te, t after i told her i bought a car elsewhere trying to convince me of i made a mistake, she also told me lies to try and get me to buy a car, i know they are flat out lies because I consulted a bank and confirmed what she said was merely false. Im very appalled and disapointed and shocked! I don't recommend them or their sister company which was even worse. The sales people are super greedy, rude and argue with you. Horrible experience to which I have to now pursue legal relief to stop the harassing phone calls to buy a car and to stop pulling my credit illegally. Crown volvo please stop pulling my credit!!
