Setting a new standard

I dreaded buying a car so much I avoided it for 13 years until my faithful friend decided it was time to go. I drove onto the lot of Duval Honda with equal parts hope and dread. I was excited to test drive the sexy new Accord Touring Hybrid. But I was less than eager to have to consider a lease or purchase. Dylan and his colleagues turned that dread into delight within seconds. No pressure. No debate. Just info and options and the freedom to choose. I plan to drive this lovely car as long as I can. But when the time comes to say goodbye, you can be sure I will say hello to Duval Honda.

Eddie and Tom are top notch in the service department. Entire staff is efficient and friendly. Service always done quickly and correctly. Of all of the Honda dealers/service departments in Jacksonville this is hands down the best. Kudos. This should be the only place in town to have your Honda serviced or repaired.

Excellent all around.

I bought a new 2018 Accord from this dealership back in October of 2018. I was greeted by William Welstead at the door and had a great experience working with him. Things did go a little awry with my vehicle in attempting to get a paint issue fixed on the hood. However, I blame this solely on the body shop used by the dealership and do not hold it against them. Throughout that process, which before resolved stretched out over a month, I was provided with a loaner vehicle and my vehicle was returned to me at my chosen location. Considering the distance, I was shocked at this level of customer service. William drove a fair bit of miles and spent quite a few hours coming back and forth to pick-up/return my vehicle to me. They even filled the tank both times that they had it for repairs. I am taking the vehicle back in for service this week and expect I'll receive top notch service again. Hoping they can diagnose and fix a brake issue that I am having. I'll provide further review after service is completed. All in all, very very pleased with this dealership and will most certainly be returning for future needs. Management should know that Duval Honda is made better each day that Will is on staff. He has certainly proven himself to be an asset to them. Thanks!

Purchased a used vehicle.

On Saturday March 2, 2019 I went to Duval Honda to inquire about an automobile I had seen on-line. I was greeted by the receptionist, who promptly directed my search to a sales representative. Even though the sales force was experiencing an abnormally high volume of inquiries, I was quickly assigned to a sales person and seated in a sales station. The General Sales Manager Will Law immediately assisted me with viewing the automobile I had been looking into. He was assisted by David Vergara for the entire sales process. I was then able to finalize the sale with the help of Kyndra Clark. The entire sales process from in the door to out the driveway was very low pressure and efficient. Thank you for helping me find the car I wanted.

From the moment I contacted the dealership, they went above and beyond to take care of my purchase needs. From finding the vehicle I wanted at another dealership and bringing it to their showroom, ready and waiting when I walked in. The process was smooth and easy and explained along the way. Everyone we interacted with were more than helpful. I highly recommend the dealership and look for to interacting with the service department as the need arises. Hats off to Will Law the General Sales Manager for getting the ball rolling and making the process as smooth as possible. Cold Atmosphere

Was able to buy a cash car with no hassle however the atmosphere was cold. Didn't really feel welcome just business as usual. Dissapointed.

I bought my first car there and it was an amazing experience! I purchased a 2011 Honda Accord, and I’m so in love with it! I worked with Robert and highly recommended you ask to speak with him. It was Awful

I had a scheduled service appointment on 7/6/18 @11am. My mom took the car for me since I was at work. My mom arrived early around 10:10am, instead of letting the customer know they could get worked in earlier, the girl at service desk proceeds to say well you can leave and grab something to eat and come back. Which means there was NOTHING to eat for customers who end up spending ALL DAY at your dealership. My mom was HIGHLY disappointed with the service from beginning to end. The fact that you charge for estimates to loyal Duval Honda customers is crazy to me anyway. The tire indicator on my car was on, which means NOTHING was done to my tires. I'm sure all the tires needed was air. I mean I was charged $47 for having ABSOLUTELY NOTHING done to my car. My mom waited an ADDITIONAL HOUR waiting for my car which was already ready but no one thought to tell her the car was ready. You charge for estimations but didn't wash my car which I thought was a service Duval Honda provides for ANY service reason. So she had to wait longer for that because she had to ASK you guys to wash my car. Which was the least that could've been done. From now on I will be taking my Honda CR-V to another Honda dealership for future service appointments.

Awful Service Department

Worst service department advisor I ever had. I purchased two tires from them. I was told by John McKean it would take 1.5 hours to have them installed. It took 3.5 hours with an appointment. He refused to do the alignment, because he said I needed new shocks (which I don’t). It appears that road hazard was not put on the ticket as I had requested to to be. After my car was finally done, they couldn’t find my keys. John said it was in the wash and would be out in a minute. I waited outside for 20 minutes. Still no car. Another service advisor went to go find my car when John didn’t help. It was in the parking lot, unwashed, with the keys in it. I told them to forget the wash and I was not happy with what had transpired that day. I left and cooled off for a day then emailed their dealership through the website about what had happened. No response. I received a voicemail a few days ago while at work to see how my service was. I called back and left Jody a voicemail to call me back, because it was awful and I realized that there was an oil change sticker on my windshield. I didn’t request an oil change (nor did I request an inspection that was placed on my ticket). I hadn’t had my oil changed in a few months, but the maintence minder hadn’t shown up yet. When I checked the vehicle maintence information, it said my oil was 100%. Either they changed my oil and didn’t tell/charge me, or they reset my maintence minder accidentally. I have no clue when my next oil change is now. No one has emailed/called me back since I left the voicemail for Jody over 24 hours now. I will be calling Honda Corporation tomorrow to let them know what happened on my latest and final visit to Duval Honda. Extremely disappointing.

Bad tires made right

After buying a used Honda and purchasing a warranty on the tires if anything as far as a road hazard happened. I had a tire go bad, I was in Gainesville Florida when it happened and I was told it wasn't covered under the warranty due to how old the tires were. It happened again in Lake city and the dealer there told me the same thing. Duval Honda kept informing it was covered and they would take care of it if I brought it in. Well a flat tire doesn't always happen when your around the dealership that sold you the car. After a few calls to the dealer ship they replaced 3 of my tires at no cost. Finally I can drive with the assurance that my tires aren't bad and feel a lot safer. Id like to thank Eddie in the service dept.for taking care of me, my safety and the safety of the ones that ride with me.

Finally a car dealership & salesman who is honest.

Just bought my 4th New Honda CRV EXL at this location. I updrade my CRV EXL every two years. This year I wanted a black on black. Duval didn't have one available (at the time) so I made a mistake and went to Lucas Honda because they had one. I did all my research and told them what I wanted for mine & what my offer was on the new. Sales manager was Very rude so I left, I called Coggin Honda on Atlantic to see if they had one in stock. Salesman said yes they had the black on black, I get there & same salesman met me at door. Walked me to a gray one? He lied & said they had black. I decided to here the offer on mine. He took my keys moved my car out of my site then started running #s. I told him to give my keys back & he wouldn't. It took 30 minutes & I had to tell his Mgr to get my keys back (unbelievable) the next day I called Coggin Honda in St Augustine. Salesman said they could get what I wanted. Then called me back & said the Mrg said he would sell me a black on black touring for the same price as the CRV EXL. I told him in advance what I wanted for my 2015 & what I wanted to pay. He said not a problem. They also lured me in without intentions of selling me the 2018 touring for the same price. I drove 59 miles one way to only here a salesman run numbers & try to sell me a car $8,000 more then I said I wanted to pay.......Then Oscar from Duval Honda called me & asked where I was, I told him All the hassle I had been through at 3 different dealerships. Oscar said he didn't have the black on black 2017 CRV EXL but could get one for me, for the price I wanted to pay & would try to get me the trade in I was asking for. So I drove back to Duval Honda & he did exactly what he said he would. He located a black on black Honda CRV EXL 2017 and gave me what I wanted for mine. We signed papers the next day :) from now on I'll go straight to Duval Honda! All I wanted was a honest yes or no could we make a deal for what I was requesting. Oscar at Duval Honda was honest & treated me with respect. PS my husband had been fighting cancer for 14 months, currently in remission & this was the first (normal) thing I've tried to do in a long time. I was disappointed with the lack of respect & honesty at the other three Honda dealerships. But it's all good now. conformation to myself.....Always be honest & treat people with respect. You never know what someone has or is going through.

Best Sales experience

I recently had to purchase a new car for my daughter. Jake McGee assisted me in finding a car that she absolutely loved. He took the extra time and care for me to feel comfortable with my purchase and he even went on a test drive with 3 different vehicles with me and I never felt rushed. I had a great experience with Zach R. at Duval Honda. Not only did he keep his word by getting me in and out as quickly as possible, he also got me an awesome deal. He was completely realistic, honest with a nice sense of humor too. There were no empty promises made in an attempt to get me to sign anything before I was ready. I am in loveeee with my new 2017 HR-V (which is also very well protected thanks to the caring people at this dealership... gap insurance, lifetime powertrain warranty, etc). Do not hesitate to go talk to Zach and see what kind of deal he can get you!
