Don Carlton Acura is a local family owned dealership. I bought my first Acura there and then nine more over the years. I always had good reason to go back after 20 years of car buying. In addition, I often traded back in nearly perfect Acura trades in what was always a win- win. The service department has always gone out of their way to make things correct in the best way. In my current car quest of the new 2019 RDX (that I have to put off a while) they have made the process enjoyable and carefree. Thomas Louis and Kaylee Knackstedt will take care of you along with new General Manager Mo J.

Terrible service department

The service department needs to learn the definition of service. It took them 10 months to order and replace a shock . Then they replaced the wrong shock. They also wouldn't take an appointment for regular scheduled service and completely mislead on when a driver could shuttle to and from work.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Customer Service Not What it Used to Be!

I've been a customer since 2004. Until yesterday, I've always been treated well. But last experience on 3-21-17 was not good. First, although it was evident the repair might possibly take longer than one day, I was not offered a loaner car. I had to request one. This has never happened before! Obviously repair tech did not check operation of vehicle after repair. Car began malfunctioning in same way as before repair was done. Returned next day with car and 3 hours later it was properly repaired and tested. Although I understand these things happen on occasion, not once did anyone ever say "I'm sorry" or "I'm sorry for your inconvenience." Those simple words would have gone a long way in making me feel better about the hassle of losing most of two days of my time dealing with this. Also, compared with what my research found that other shops charge for this same repair and parts, I was charged roughly twice the amount others charge. I'm very disappointed in the decline in customer service here, and will be taking my business somewhere else going forward.

Immediately we were greeted and the salesman was quick to ask what exactly we were looking for in a vehicle, not pushing something on us that wasn't anything that we wanted. I recently went in to look at a 2016 Acura MDX. I was greeted by Jeff Vicente and I don't think that I have ever enjoyed talking to a salesman that much before. We ended up buying the car, not only because its a beautiful car but also by how we were treated. It was like we were long lost friends just meeting again. I would suggest Don Carlton Acura to anybody.

Well Worth the Trip

My wife and I are from Bentonville, AR but made the drive to Tulsa to this dealership to shop for her a car. Reese greeted us on the lot and was very informative, and was able to answer all of our questions thoroughly. Made the normally awful task of car shopping actually enjoyable.

Car not as advertised

I wasted a day of my life and several hundred dollars to travel to Tulsa and buy a car that was listed on the website as having little to no wear. When I arrived, the car had HUNDREDS of paint chips on the front bumper and hood, as well as a few significant chips with dents. They acted like I was being picky expecting the car to be in almost new condition as advertised. The used car manager even had the nerve to say, "Well, it is a used car." Since I had traveled to purchase the car, I wanted it painted and delivered to me, but they were not willing to do this. The internet sales manager was trying to convince the GM and the owner to do what I requested. They were very difficult to deal with and obviously not concerned about the time and money that I had spent to travel there to purchase the car. I left without buying the car.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Car shopping was a pleasant surprise!

I can't believe that car shopping was actually a great experience! I called ahead before I went to Don Carlton Acura and Lisa answered the phone. She knew a lot about the MDX that I was looking at, and she even pulled the exact car that we discussed up to the front of the dealership before I got there! We took a ride in the MDX and she even demonstrated the super handling all wheel drive on our test drive. The test drive impressed me and then I told her that my husband would come back to talk about the money part of the deal. She didn't pressure me, but instead gave me information to take to my husband. When we returned to discuss numbers we had our two year old daughter. Lisa had toys in her office to keep Olivia busy. When Olivia got upset, Lisa gave us time to calm her down while we arrived at a figure and decided on accessories. After we signed all the paperwork, we had added things to the car that the dealership still had to put on. John, the General Manager came and thanked us for our business. We returned the next day to pick up our 2014 MDX!! Lisa was not in her office, but John came out and greeted us again and let Lisa know we were there. Overall, this was the most relaxing experience we have ever had buying a car! It was easy on our family life and easy with the dealership. I picked out what I wanted and my husband was happy with the purchase process, he didn't even have me drive anymore cars once I knew that the MDX was for me. What I liked about this whole experience (besides getting a new car) was that Lisa respected our time before we even met, while we were in her office (when Olivia threw her fit), and in scheduling the extras on our car. Everyone at the dealership was friendly and we felt comfortable throughout the whole time. Thank you!!!

I not only recieved the best price, they went at my pace and showed my husband and I everything there is to know about our new acura. Ive been back and recieved a oil change. I had a terrible experience with another dealership in town and it soured me from even wanting to get a new car. However, having a 1 year old, I knew my little mini cooper would not fit my family anymore. I had done a lot of research on midsize crossover suvs and was very interested in the Acura RDX. After my bad experience in which I was pressured into a corner and not allowed to leave, I was standoffish and told everyone at Acura that I would need time to make my decision and figure out how I wanted to finance the car. I visited and test drove on a Saturday and left after about two hours with no pressure and no hard selling. Matt was very smart and informed and he took us on a great test drive. He showed me what to look for and also told me about the smart electronics. I came back Wednesday morning to finalize which car I wanted and start on the paperwork. I left to go to some appointments and came back at about 4pm. We finished the paperwork and I drove the car away by 6pm. The owner was very nice and I had a great experience. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a laid back, low pressure situation.

I purchased a used 2012 Sorento, as is, with no warranty, off their used car lot the end of Jan 2013. When it started making noises 4 months later upon going thru dips in the road I went in and talked with the General Manager John Bruton. We agreed the car had no warranty given or implied from them on the vehicle but he suggested as a gesture of good moral response that he would have his service department go over it and that we would split what ever bill the repair incurred at his cost so I would not incure a hugh repair bill. Upon inspection they suggested it sounded like a warranty item from Sorento and told me it wouldn't cost me a cent if I went thru the factory warranty on it. Which I did and it was repaired free of charge. The point I want to make was any other used car dealer would have held me to the letter of the law which was no warranty and would have charged me for the work needed at regular shop prices. The jesture they made of splitting the cost at their cost and then the honesty in telling me after their inspection how best to handle it has earned them my indorsement of A++ if I can give it that high. This is my 3rd Acura purchased from this dealership, and the most recent transaction occured two months ago in April of 2013. I don't know who others on this site dealt with by my experience was excellent. The pricing was fair (I shopped the prices online) and the purchase process was not pressured and efficient. Of course the car is new so I have not had it back for service, but I expect I will get the same courtesies as I received for my previous two Acura's: one a 97 RL and a 2007 TL. I understand that some people may have issues with certain individiuals, but in my case I have never had a problem and have interacted with multiple employees. Acura makes great cars and I have found the this dealership matches their standards

I went to Acura of Tulsa to look at the MDX. I was pleased that I didn't get mugged by a bunch of salesmen. I was greeted and offered the keys to several of the MDX's and allowed to drive and inspect them at my leisure and without any pressure. Chris, the manager, was very helpful and answered my questions. I liked the way they handled the entire transaction. They gave me more for my trade-in than I expected and arranged the financing at an interest rate less than my bank. The entire transaction was a fun and enjoyable one. I really feel that they cared about my purchase and would continue to treat me well after the sale. They called me the next day to make sure I understood all the features and the navigation system. I really felt that my business was appreciated, and as a consumer, I knew that these guys went above and beyond to make my buying experience very pleasant. I believe this dealer has won a custmer for life and would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I went to Don Carlton Acura as a stop on our car shopping list. We were surprised to see a female sales person. Lisa knew a lot about the RDX that we bought and she even showed us how to use all the features on the navigation and she paired our phones to the car. There are so many things to use on the car, I don't know if I will remember them all. But I think I can figure it out since she showed us how to do the basic things. Her manager Chris helped us, too. We liked the way we were treated at the dealership. Lisa was very friendly and Chris was straight forward. We got a pretty good deal and I LOVE my new RDX!!

My battery was bad after just 3years and had a 100month...

My battery was bad after just 3years and had a 100month warranty I had the original receipt. I removed the battery from the car took it to Don Carlton my local dealer and they said they won't service or even check the battery with out the car, so in my dress clothes I carried the battery back to my car, they didn't offer to carry it back. Conclusion: I purchased a new battery from auto zone $112.00 took it home and my car is working like a charm. P.S. I'm a aircraft mechanic!
