Teamwork

Rip Off

So I waited a while before I wrote my review. I bought a used 2013 Ford since I was buying used I also got the Zurich Extended Service Plan which I was told would "cover everything bumper to bumper". Yes it was an extra $1541 but why not have that extra piece of mind. I have had my car about 9 months now and love it, but that was not always the case and I will never go back to a Don Jackson dealership. I bought the car from the dealership at the end of June 2015. Within the first week the check engine light came on and I took it to the service department. I was told it was on because it didn't have a gas cap (the car is designed to be capless). The service tech told me he would reset the check engine light, and that I should go to a parts store and buy a gas cap. I bought a locking one and within a week the light came back on. I went back to the parts store they used their little handheld thingy to tell me what was wrong. It was a powertrain issue ( can't remember exactly). I took it back to the dealership and the same technician was there and once again he tried to convince me it was the gas cap and I should have had one ordered from the Ford place across the street. I told him I didn't believe it was the cap and that the parts place had used the handheld thingy to diagnose it and it came back a powertrain issue. He then said he would have to hook it up to his machine to get a diagnosis and if it was true about the powertrain issue it would cost over $600. I told him about my bumper to bumper warranty he said that it was not covered. I went across to the Ford place and they told me it was covered by the original warranty fixed it and sent me on my way. About three months later the light came on again. Took it to Don Jackson again this time it was the catalytic converter and once again it wasn't covered. Took it to the Ford place and once again they got me back on the road. So here's what I think. Don Jackson robbed me not once but twice. First, I was sold a car where the check engine light had been reset because it came on within the first week and that's just not a coincidence. Second, that Zurich service plan you are pushing is a complete rip off. Like most people my money is hard earned and if the business with your name on it is run like this then you should be in jail.

I would not recommend this dealer.

ADVERTISEMENT & REALITY WERE TWO DIFF THINGS

Their advertisement regarding a car & the real car dint match ! NO NAVIGATION NO BACKUP CAMERA Even on the car spec posted on the car's windshield said that the car had those. I wasted 2 hrs driving and spending at the show room + 50 miles on my car for nothing ! They were not even ready to offer a better price since the car dint have camera and navigation.

I would not recommend this dealer.

I went to this dealership after having a bad experience at Totoya of Union City. Was treated wtih respect and honesty and I purchased a second hand car from them. My salesmen was named Michael and the finance manager at the Don Jackson Chrysler that did my contract was great also.
