Poor communication and service

Sales experience was one of the best buying experiences I've ever had. Seriously, it was fantastic! - 5 stars! Unfortunately, the standard service and warranty work though has been the worse. - I would give it a zero if possible. I'm now in the process of going back for the thrid time for the SAME issue (plus new ones they have created). There seems to be a general lack of communication between the service reps, techs, and service manager. I highly recommend having the service rep go over the vehicle before and after you drop it off for any service. Make sure any issues are properly documented. I purchased the upgraded warranty plan for peace of mind, but apparently that didn't matter. If the service work is poorly executed or they create new issues that did not exist prior to the work, be prepared to pay for their negligence and miscommunication. In addition, they sell numerous WRX vehicles, which is what I purchased, but typically when I call or pick up my vehicle after service, and have a specific question like the clutch-brake assist and can it be turned off or other related questions, I get told - "the one guy that would know that is not here right now." - every time! Seriously, you sell a ton of these and only one guy can answer specific questions? Also, if you are concerned about getting your vehicle's paint damaged by the courtesy car wash, make sure they do not wash it. Especially if you have a white or silver model, it will leave noticeable black marks that take a clay bar to buff out. Lastly, in regards to the courtesy car wash, if you have 2015 or newer WRX, and have the aftermarket side mounted license plate (that they recommend, because there is no factory holder they provide), then definitely make sure they don't wash your vehicle. The service rep won't tell you, but one of the younger techs mentioned it to me (I wish I would I would of known that the first time). Good luck!

Dan Belling was great -- even though I knew exactly what I was going to purchase coming in, he took the time to discuss each aspect of the car with me and answer every one of my (inevitably many) questions. There was never any rush or pressure; he just wanted to be sure I was perfectly comfortable and happy with my Crosstrek. And even after I bought the car, he's made it clear he's always available to answer any questions I have. Working with him has been an excellent experience.

I have not used your service dept as of yet so I can only rate my experience with sales staff and finance manager. I enjoyed working with Dan Belling. He made a better impression than many of the sales associates I have delt with over the years. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a Subaru. Your business manager made the paperwork process seamless. In and out of his office quickly. I found the staff I interacted with at Duteau Subaru to be much easier to work with than the Chevy dealership.

Excellent Dealership to purchase your first and many Subarus

Purchase of 2015 Certified Outback

I am very pleased with my purchase from Duteau Suburu of Lincoln, NE. After searching about 6 months for a car, I was led to this car. Being from Iowa, I was hesitant about making a purchase out of state. After a business trip to southwest Iowa, I traveled to Lincoln to test drive a car and meet Dan Belling. Dan was very knowledgeable about Suburus and was able to answer my questions about the Outbacks. Dan was not a pushy salesman and did not try to get me to buy a car I did not want. When I did find the car I purchased, Dan did all he could to let me see as much of the car as possible from photos. When I arrived to pick up the car, he very patiently, showed me the features of the car, wanting to be sure I was comfortable driving it to Iowa. He, also, took the time to go through the owners manuals with me, in spite of the approaching 5:00 closing time. Saturday night, Dan checked on me to be sure I arrived home safely. I appreciate all he did to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I thank God for leading me to Duteau Suburu and Mr. Dan Belling.

Our Belling [Subaru] Experience Start to Finish was Awesome!

Du Teau Subaru has a tremendous asset in Dan Belling. Tremendous! We all knew that I (We) were going to love the Subaru experience. We were not disappointed. Our car is simply amazing! But its so nice to run into a salesperson who makes you feel totally comfortable from the very first phone conversation. Dan took the time to check out and actually find for the first time the car I was interested in and held it for me for nearly 24 hours while I attempted to get to Lincoln. He then gave up his lunch hour to fill out the paperwork and then show us all the bells and whistles (and there were a LOT of them) in a car we were both extremely unfamiliar with. The car sells itself--that is TRUE--but, Dan sold us on Du Teau Subaru!! And Matt, in the finance department, was also just as cordial, articulated clearly, and made us totally comfortable in a setting that naturally has a certain element of economic discomfort. Thanks Dan and Matt!

Smooth car buying experience from start to finish

I involved this dealership in a buying process that included five other dealerships. Eric Klein, the sales manager, answered my questions quickly and gave me a highly competitive bid for a 2016 Legacy. After I chose Du Teau Eric kept in touch while we waited for the car to come in. When I picked up the car, Eric was off that day, so Dan Belling took care of making certain my experience continued at the same high level. Matt Lehnert, the business manager, also handled his end of the transaction in a friendly, efficient manner. The dealership was spotless. The receptionist was great. Dan even asked the top mechanic for his input on a question I had about using a different synthetic oil, mileage between oil changes, and how it might effect the warranty. Terrific experience. I strongly recommend this dealership, and, of course, Subaru makes great cars.

Simple, smooth and no pressure!

We worked specifically with Dan Belling and the experience was very pleasant. We were able to test drive cars and make a decision in our own time frame. When the time for making the deal, they gave us a good, competitive price as well as a good trade in value for our old Stratus. A very nice place to purchase a Subaru!
