purchased new GTI

By Tom on 10/19/2018 at 3:14 PM.

This was the second new VW we've bought at Ed Carroll. Christian, our salesman, was a pleasure to deal with. Getting through the finance part, too, was very efficient and painless. Very good experience!

I would recommend this dealer.

Great customer service

By BandRlong on 9/22/2018 at 3:21 PM. Helped by Ken Schultz, Hashim Gari, Chris Hamlin.

This summer, we ended an Audi A3 lease (that we purchased from a dealer in the Denver area), and purchased 2 Audi's here. One was for myself, and the other for our daughter. From the GM, sales, finance, and even service when we had an issue with one of the vehicles, the customer service could not have been better. This store is FIRST CLASS, and we will continue to make our vehicle purchases up at Ed Carroll. Well worth the drive to get treated like family!

I would recommend this dealer.

Dealer won't stand behind cars they sell

By Alingarhs on 4/19/2018 at 1:40 AM.

Bought a 2012 Audi TT just of out the manufactioners warranty. 3 weeks later the turbo fails and i am estimated 3,000 dollars for the repair. I've talked with the manager about working with me as i had just bought the car and put less than 1000 miles on it and the "best" they could do for me was take a measly 10% off the cost. Ed Caroll Audi is fine with the image of a customer driving off their lot and breaking down and not doing a thing about it. Poor excuse for representing Audi in whole and total disregard for backing the vehicles they sell after bragging about how thorough their inspections are.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Very impressed with the Service Dept at Ed Carroll Audi

By JSR1966 on 3/22/2018 at 8:56 PM. Helped by Ryan Barnum, Technician Ken.

My son's 12 year-old Audi finally blew out its clutch. We called around to all of the repair shops (independent and dealer.) My son was directed to Ryan Barnum at Ed Carroll Audi. From the beginning to end, Ryan was awesome - communicative, never condescending, and just overall excellent at dealing with me and my son. He and technician Ken repaired the clutch within 24 hours of the part arriving, and gave me a full report on what they found. Thanks guys!

Amazing service - ask for Jasmine

By mattscarreview on 3/6/2018 at 1:41 AM. Helped by Jasmine.

I made an enquiry through TrueCar for an Alltrack. Jasmine texted me the same day and offered a great price first up. She delivered the car to my home - an hour from the dealership two days later having helped me overcome some credit hurdles in the interim. I'm blown away by the service. No sitting around the dealership, nobody trying to sell me window tinting or other extras. Just what I asked for, delivered right on time. The best car buying experience I've ever had. Oh and I love the car too!

I would recommend this dealer.

recall/repairs

By cj12 on 11/10/2017 at 6:18 AM. Helped by Ryan Barnum.

I had my porsche recalled I set up an appointment with them and 2 weeks later I came in i am a student and am very bussy i took a monday off and they took my are as they said the would fix it but then 3-4 hours later they called me back I was happy thinking my car got fixed but they told me they didnthave the parts I do not understand why you would take a car not knowing you had the parts thus was a waist of my time then I Slid in the snow and had it towed in they said they would look at it and i went back 2 days later and it was in the same spot as before. they can not eve put in effort to make money I have no clue how they are in business. they will lie to you just to get you in and then waist your time they couldn't put a tire on in 5 hours i ended up taking my tire off my car myself and going to big O tire and they put a new tire on in 10 minutes. I was under the impression after speaking with a very kind man from Porsche north america that the dealer would make it up to me for telling me they had parts and taking my car for time then not fixing it so I would have guessed that they could have at least looked at my car in 3 day but no they do not care about you at all they will wait your time and money. hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership/ repair shop ever. I am so sick of there lies and not fixing the recalls I expect better from a dealership just because you have expensive cars outside doesn't mean your a good dealership. I expect better out of Porsche only because they certified imbusuls to sell and maintain their cars even a Toyota dealership has better customer service then them honestly do not get your car fixed here or set up an appointment unless you want your time wasted your time would be better spent driving to Stevenson imports or a independent mechanic auto werks east is a great alternative and will fix your car faster and with better customer service my car was there for approximately 4 days and they didn't make a effort to fix it. also when i went to pick it up after they told me they didn't have the parts the man was on the phone and held up my keys to me as if he didn't care t]he then shrugged and said i don't know what to tell you man we don''t have the parts. if you don't have the parts don't take my car.

So many bad experiences.

By Jettaguy on 1/14/2017 at 10:42 PM. Helped by Many.

The service department just doesn't have the expertise to properly service my VW Jetta. I took it in to fix a dead ABS system. I got it back with over a thousand dollar bill, and it didn't work at all. This is the last straw. That was a safety concern that they messed up. They have multiple times given me back my car in worse condition than when I brought it in.. I've been wanting to buy a new Audi, but with Ed Carroll the only thing around, I have to consider something else. Will someone else come into Fort Collins and run a respected VW/Audi dealership? Please!

Inability to diagnose a simple A/C problem.

By Steve fischer on 6/28/2016 at 11:20 PM. Helped by Gary the "tech", who can not fix an AUDI A/C System....

Called in set up appointment to fix the A/C. (stopped working all at once, worked fine then just quit.) I take care of this car--- 2011 Model A6 3.0T with just 50K on it. No other problems ---ever. Love this car so I was looking FWD to getting it back. They called me an hour after I gave it to them.. I thought great! That was fast! It was under extended warranty and had a high pressure switch that was " bad" . The warranty company said go. Then a few hours later it all started to go south. Ring Ring--- Hi this is Gary-- Well we replaced the part but it is still broken, we need you to pay (280 bucks more) for "service" on the A/C that the warranty company wont pay for. This was so they could find out what is wrong with it. Really? Did not check to see if it had Freon before replacing parts?? So catch 22. I ended up getting nothing for my 100 dollar deductible, and they billed the warranty folks for 230 bucks. All to do nothing to fix the issue. I got the warranty people on line with them and they weaseled for a while. So for me having to hear anymore of this was not worth the time, and for 100 bucks.. I hung up.. I have taken it to a reputable service department to undo the "work" they did. And look forward to getting it back fixed this time. I am sure some people are happy with them, I got burned so just a heads up. Avoid them if you can, not worth the effort. They really don't give a crap in the end. Sad, Fort Collins is a small town and word gets around..

Fantastic Service and Customer Service

By TravisA on 10/8/2015 at 2:32 PM. Helped by Ryan B & Ryan B, Terri C, Trevor V.

Starting from the moment one walks in you are greeted with friendly staff that are willing to assist with your needs. Service Department is very professional and make sure to protect your vehicle while being worked on. Not being a mechanic, any issues I have experienced are explained to me in a easy to understand manner. The Customer Service from all staff has always been great! Not very often this can be said of any dealership. Price for maintenance is affordable and not overpriced as many dealerships are. You come in for an oil change you get the oil change and you do not get the "you need this or that". Free wifi and conference room to work (if needed) while waiting, also have great loaner vehicles in the case that the service department needs to keep the vehicle over night. Extremely pleased customer and will continue returning and using Audi for my service needs. Thank you to all the staff at Ed Carroll

Sad experience in sales and parts

By Nywellborn on 6/30/2015 at 9:58 PM. Helped by Parts and sales.

Sad when the sales person lies to you. I asked why only a 50K warranty 2 years. He said porsche doesn't need more. They don't do 100K Wrong the pref-certified is 100k and 6 years. Can't lie or not tell me every thing. So bought one else where. I ordered one little part and two weeks later they have it. I could have had eBay send it sooner. Now I needed a new windshield and they gave the wrong part number so can't replace windshield. And if they order it will be at least a week. Do I trust them. xxxx no

VW Service SUCKS!

By 67buggirl on 6/30/2015 at 5:01 PM. Helped by Cheyenne.

My car was under warranty; they reviewed the items, told me that the truck is working as designed. If I pop the truck by standing with my door open and run to the back the truck locks again before I can get it opened. The only way to unlock the trunk is to have the key in hand and standing next to it before it locks again. But, that is working as designed – uh huh, sure it is. Back to the warranty, okay, understandably that they would need to review, order parts, got it... Rather than the parts dept. telling the rep they are in, they call me directly and then I need to get transferred to the rep to make another appointment for them to fix the items. What a ridiculous method of communication. I take my car back in before opening, so they have the day to fix it. I never received a call, so I called at 3pm, left a voice mail. I never received a call back by 4:30, so I called again. To which the rep replied with “I was just going over your paper work.” I finally get there around 5:15 to get my car, get in it, the windows won't roll down. I kept playing with the buttons and they would roll down a little each time until finally they went down and up without any issues. I take off, turn on the radio, I'm about a mile down the road and I noticed the radio didn't come on. So, I pulled over and looked closer, there is an error code. I turned around, went back into VW, mind you it's about 5:23. They are looking for my rep, and some other rep asks if I know what the code is. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about. This other rep and I sat there for the next 10 min's trying to look for this code that sometimes is written down in the manual. By this time it’s 5:34, and he tells me that I will need to bring back the car the next day that their mechanics have left for the day. Seriously?!? If they would have just looked at it when I was back at 5:23 they could have fixed it then. No, but I have to take time out of my schedule to take it back because they screwed it up. Needless to say, I'm already upset about not having the radio work, but I have to come back again to have them fix it. Well, to top off my anger, I am driving home and hear this awful rattling coming from the dash. They had to remove the dash to fix the display and screwed something up. This certainly pissed me off, but this isn't the reason I am writing this review. I am writing the review because of the lack of service and them wasting my time. I took my car back the next morning, they fixed the radio, but couldn’t pin point the rattling and would need to remove the dashboard to figure it out. So, here again I have to take my car back in. I was told they would give me a loaner car that they didn’t have any last week and to have me call this week. I called and left a VM for Cheyenne Monday afternoon 2:30pm, by 10:30 Tuesday I still haven’t received a phone call. I called back and spoke with Cheyenne and they do not have any loaner cars and looks like it won’t be until next week that I can bring my car back into their shop. Their service is HORRIBLE! Now, I have to turn my radio up very loud so that I don’t have to listen to that rattling they caused. What I don’t understand is why when resetting the electronics and knowing it resets the windows and radio why wouldn’t they have checked these out before leaving the shop. Why is it that dealerships can get away with this? They should at the very least compensate the customer for their time when they make these stupid mistakes that could have been avoided to begin with.

Dont stand behind the work

By zshadiki on 12/22/2014 at 11:07 PM. Helped by Service manager.

DON'T USE..... Wont stand behind their work. Had a fuel pump replaced in June by October it wasn't working. The refused to pay for the tow after telling me they would as long as it was the fuel pump that was defective. Which it was and now they refuse to pay for the toe from where I live. Vw wont do anything about it. Much better finding a private mechanic to do your work maybe they will stand behind what they work on.

This service department is the BEST. Always kind, courteous, respectful, quick and knowledgeable. Whenever I have called for anykind of service, they always have several options to work within my schedule. Their quality work is done as promised. I cannot imagine going anywhere else.
