Don’t waist my time/Set clear expectations

My service appointment was changed the day before I was supposed come in for service. No one called to tell me anything. I did get one reminder text message saying my appointment was a different date, but after the four previous reminder messages I received I didn’t think to check the date. I thought I was getting another friendly reminder. This was very impersonal and unprofessional. I scheduled my service a week in advance and switch my work schedule to make my appointment and no one had enough respect for my time and money I spend to make a phone call to notify me of the changed appointment. No one even took the time to send a text saying “appointment change” only “reminder”. I chose Fields Cadillac because of word of mouth, it is just unfortunate that I don’t get service my friend gets because I don’t look or talk like him. When I explained the issue to my service advisor I didn’t even get an apology. I still have to go back for service today, but I am a let down customer and plan to take my business elsewhere in the future because of this incident.

I would not recommend this dealer.

No pressure sales

We stopped by to test drive the Cadillac XT5 and did not intend to purchase. However, Bill tailored his sales presentation to our exact needs and found us a beautiful SUV in our price range with more options than we requested. The entire sales team was friendly, low pressure and accommodating. A truly enjoyable sales experience!

Great salesman!

I worked with Ray to purchase my vehicle. His persistence was great without being pushy. He knew just when to step in and when to back off. I was from out of state and was in a Jacksonville for an extended visit and was not 100% set on making a car purchase. Iver the course of a week (primarily due to my indecision), I finally decided on a 2017 GMC Denali with 4600 miles. Ray and I negotiated the entire deal over the phone, so on the day of purchase, I walked in and signed the papers and then walked out about an hour later. I feel that Ray worked for me to get a fair deal on my vehicle and then helped me to get some service on my old car, which was being purchased by a family member. This was extremely helpful because it eliminated the need for me to finally place to have brakes and an oil change done with only 3 days left in town. Ray worked out a discounted price on the service work, which was completed the next day. The only issues I had were with the service of my new car. The service department did not change the oil, so after driving the 1500 miles back home, I needed to take my car in to dealership for an oil change. This was a true inconvenience and the last thing I wanted to do days after I purchased a car and made a 2-day drive home. Ray researched by pulling the service records and then discussing with the service manager. The response they gave as to why the oil was not changed when it had 30% oil life remaining was that "the car was still under original warranty and the oil change /service is covered under the warranty, so they didn't want to waste it". No thought was given to the inconvenience of me, the new owner. I appreciated the work they did on my old car, but would truly have appreciated having the oil change completed on my new purchase. Overall, the experience was positive and mostly due to Ray.

I am a repeat customer of Kim Taylor at Fields Cadillac of Jacksonville. I was happy with my first purchase from Kim so I wouldn't consider any other sales person. I stopped by the dealership for help replacing the battery in a fob and I drove off in a new car. I joked that this was a darned expensive battery. This was not a Sales or Service visit but you don't have another option for the reason for visit. I feal very comfortable stopping by this dealarship for anything. Everyone remembers you and is friendly.
