My experience with Fields was excellent !!

I was involved with the VW diesel TDI recall. My husband and I decided to go with the buy-back deal. Our salesperson was Diane Karel. She walked us through the process step by step and had the expertise to do that. Diane also had excellent knowledge of all the vehicles on the lot and we chose the VW Passat. Diane is an excellent in her workmanship in Fields VW and we believe she should be recognized as a great asset to this dealership.The Passat is a great car and we are very happy with it !! Financing was easy and everyone in the showroom was courteous.

I bought my VK from here. They are nice when when you were purchasing the car but as soon as you leave, everything goes downhill. People are absolutely rude and will not help you with anything if you need them. They sold me a gap insurance telling me I can cancel if i want, but when I called to cancel, they keep ignoring and never responded back. My statement's balance did not match the amount we agreed upon, I have been emailing and calling them for months, but to no avail. I would never recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. The few times I finally got to speak to someone, people were rude and just unhelpful. I regret buying a vehicle from this dealership.

2 bad experiences! Beware!

I purchased a Volkswagen diesel in 2015 and three weeks after I purchased the car I received a letter from the service center at Fields VW in Daytona Beach letting me know of all the issues that they caught while inspecting the car but didn't bother to fix. One of the issues caused the front right tire to wear extremely quickly and when the tire tread got down far enough it caused a massive wobble. They were not willing to work with me and it shows that they will not do repairs to a used car because it will make the price of the car go up. Luckily because of the Volkswagen diesel scam they will be buying the car back plus giving me extra cash I have an appointment set for March 25th 2017 to sell the car back and I was told that they would hold a car until my appointment if I found one on there lot that I wanted to buy. So I searched online and found a car went and test drove it today and I like the car. I was willing to put a deposit down so they would hold it when the sales manager told me that they would not hold the car for me and I needed to buy the car today.

I would not recommend this dealer.

I bought a used Jetta from Fields Volkswagen of Daytona in September 2016. When purchasing the vehicle, I was told that it was fully maintenanced and I would not have to bring the car in for another year (12 months or 10,000 miles). I signed all of the paperwork regarding the inspection of my used car, noting that nothing was wrong with the car. As I pulled into my driveway at home for the first time, I noticed that there was a small crack in the windshield, which has now begun to spread. Can't wait to replace it! About a week later, we had a heavy, Florida rain for which I was on the highway for, I turn on my windshield wipers and they're completely worn out, consequently, I had extremely low visibility and had to pull off the highway until it finished raining and have them immediately replaced. About two months after owning the car, the service light comes on for regular maintenance. I called the dealership to complain, because I was originally informed that it would be 12 months/10,000 miles before I had to perform regular maintenance on the car. The dealership did nothing to rectify the situation, so I took it to another dealership who did some digging on the car's maintenance history. The car was serviced at 6,000 miles with the original owner and then never serviced again (I purchased the car at 13,000 miles on the odometer). That cost me $366. Not only will this dealership do anything to make a sale, they don't ensure that their used vehicles are safe before selling them. Nor do they care about rectifying the misinformation that their salesmen spew. Would not recommend for purchasing used cars.

We worked with Adam, Michael and Joe to purchase our 2016 Beetle Dune. Salesman and Sales Manager, Adam and Michael worked to provide information for us - over and above the usual car specs. We appreciated the fact that they were willing to pursue all avenues to provide us with our (likely) unusual equipment request! They were experienced and knowledgeable about VW products and the car buying environment. They treated us with courtesy and respect. We happily purchased our new car from Fields at what we thought was a fair price. We would like to mention Joe who stayed late to finish with the paperwork.... and service who made sure our new car was detailed before we drove home! I would buy from Fields again and recommend enthusiastically!!

No response from the GM

Well, 10 days after I posted the comment in April, one of the GM's Tom Perry posted a reply apologizing and asked me to call or email him. I tried to email 2x and still have no reply. "Customers are not priority once you are out the door" Well a week has gone by since I was asked to call or email Tom Perry - General Manager in my post below. I emailed within an hour of getting the message. I have yet to hear from someone again. More Employees dealt with Tom Perry - General Manager Did you find this review helpful? YES 1 My Review of Fields Volkswagen of Daytona Mongus73 4/27/2016 Reason For Visit Sales (Used) "DO NOT buy a used car here!!! " Long story short, I made an offer on a used car, they accepted, I went to test drive it. When I got there that Saturday it is was raining and grey sky covered so the test drive was very short and any obvious defects in the car were not visible. I told them I’d pick the car up on Monday because my credit union needed something from me and couldn’t process till Monday. On Monday, I went after work to pick the car up. After being stuck in traffic 2.5 hrs because of a couple accidents on I-4 and it being already 1830, I just wanted to get in and out because I had got dropped off there and I had a drive back home to Orlando. Before leaving the salesman “Andy” and I were looking at the vehicle (now that we could see it in day light) and saw there was a huge gash in the sidewall of the front passenger side tire. Since the tires didn’t match I figured I would just get two new matching tires to the rear two that were in good shape. I should have been thinking, “what kind of inspections does your automotive shop do and is this not a concern or safety issue, after all there is a large flap of sidewall just hanging off?” But I didn’t think that way and was just thinking I was exhausted and wanted to go home. I got home dropped it at firestone to get the new tires put on, come to find they couldn’t do an alignment because of the front strut and mount possibly being bent. They’d have to take a closer look to determine. I called the dealer and spoke with Andy who then relayed the info to the sales manager. That person told him to tell me sorry, you bought it as is so they can’t do anything for me. If I wanted to, he offered to have my car in the shop to inspect the strut and mount for an hourly labor charge. Needless to say this was the second and last car I buy from that dealership and any Fields for that matter. If that’s the way they are going to inspect vehicles that obviously have safety concerns and treat repeat buyers, then I am out. So now 3 weeks later, I still don’t have my car because it’s still being worked on and having issues with the suspension dealt with at the shop. The car fax print out they gave me showed nothing however they did not give me the e-version where I can click on the service record links. I am guessing this car did a Dukes of hazard somewhere and the person traded it in just because he knew it was badly damaged and didn’t want a negative equity trade due to an accident. So much for their safety inspections they don’t seem to look at tires.

Upfront pricing, very straightforward

We had never considered a Volkswagen, until we rented one. Very shocked at the low pricing for all the options you receive. Before returning the rental, we found ourselves purchasing one. Our salesman, David Diaz, is amazing. He does not have the intense personality that some salesman have, which allows you to get comfortable speaking with him. He actually takes the time to hear you, not just listen. He is knowledgeable about the products. I recommend his services to anyone that is looking to purchase. Michael Pollard was there as an additional contact. He is very knowledgeable also. This was the first time we purchased a car from a no-haggle dealership, and it was a little awkward for us. There definitely was no haggling, no matter how hard we tried (ha-ha). We still walked out feeling good about the price without the haggle. We are just impressed over the whole process and the people.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Do not buy a car here. The customer service is horrible. The lady had smart remarks and ridiculous facial expressions towards us for speaking out opinions on a car and the manager was even more ridiculous. Worst car place ever and been to many! Would never ever buy something from there. Beware! Once you walk in you feel like you're bothering them.

The WORST Service Department

Took my new VW for driverside seat heating problem. Very unorganized and dysfunctional department and people. Left the car more than three days, and no one could tell me what was the diagnosis. Everyday stopped by to see if there was any diagnosis, well good luck finding anyone first, and then to no avail. The last statement on the third day was that their technicians wife was sick and he had to leave. Reminded me of the kids in school with excuses like my dog ate my homework. I have never dealt with such incompetent group of people. Finally on fourth day, took the car back and took it to another dealer and fixed it in less than an hour. Every new or used car will need service, so Buyer Beware. I do not know any thing about their sales department, but remember that in life of your car, you would have to deal with service department, not the sales. I would not even give them one star.
