Greatest Customer EVER!!!

By Happy New Subaru Owner on 6/4/2017 at 9:16 PM. Helped by Mark and Ahamed.

Mark was the Sales Manager on duty when I went on the lot to "look" at an Outback. Ahamed approached me and was a Gentleman, rather than a typical Salesman. As I developed some questions, Ahamed and Mark sought to make sure that I had the information I needed. They were both helpful, and generous with their time and attention without being pushy or abrupt. Typically if a Salesman judges that I will not buy a car from them THAT DAY, they lose interest in helping me gather information. This was not the case. I encourage Women not to feel intimidated about even stepping on the Car Lot. This one is different. Mark and Ahamed made all the difference. Ahamed gave me many technical points that made the Outback seem easier to use. I think that because he is an Engineering Student, the technical info came easier to him, and he was good at explaining everything in the detail I needed. This is one of the best Car Buying experiences that I have ever experienced. All that I can say is THANK YOU. S

I would recommend this dealer.

Best deal all around!

By Belita on 10/21/2016 at 8:18 PM. Helped by Zack Kastler, Jake Nelson, Jason Jenkins, Greg Hawthorn.

We have made many new car purchases in our lives but this recent trade for a new Subaru Forester was all around the best experience we have ever had. From first being greeted by Zack Kastler and his trainee Jake Nelson, to being shown all the cool new features on the 2017 Forester by another great Tim's Subaru guy, we cannot say enough good about this dealership, our new Forester and the employees. Speaking of employees; the two young men, Zack Kastler and Jake Nelson, that took us through this process from start to finish are both extremely courteous, friendly, very knowledgeable about the cars and so patient with two old people. If I was their mother I could not be more proud of their work ethic. We hope the management at Tim's appreciates them as much as we do. Let's not forget Jason Jenkins who made the final deal with us. You are great! Thank you Tim's Subaru.

I would recommend this dealer.

Buyer Beware

By Experienced Buyer on 5/31/2016 at 6:21 PM. Helped by Sales Manager.

This dealer has lots of tricks to pad the deal in their favor. If you go online, you can get close to invoice BUT watch the "plus dealer add ons." 1. Up front they add on the typical window tint and paint protection neither of which you need even in Arizona. 2. They back load the deal with a $549 charge for doc fees which is excessive AND $299.95 for "theft registration" which is pre-printed onto the sales contract and is non-negotiable. Finally - absolutely terrible on trade-in. I am surprised the attorney general has not gone after dealers with "value your trade-in" on their website. You will NEVER get close to what your car is worth. If you have a car to trade, sell it first. Even with the tax break you get on trading, you will never get close to a true trade-in value with this dealer.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Phone calls not returned

By KJ on 12/29/2015 at 3:29 PM. Helped by Tim Coury, Robby Hinshaw.

Tim's Auto Group represents a dealership with poor customer service simply because they don't return phone calls, and/or no one is available to answer calls. Even after writing a letter to Mr Coury, the owner of Tim's, regarding phone calls not being returned from the Loan Department, Sales Manager, and Robby Hinshaw no follow-up letter has ever been received from Mr. Coury. Very sad considering that Tim's is a dealership in a fairly small town and customer service should be a huge priority. Word is spread easily in small towns regarding good vs. poor service. Poor service results in the customer seeking a better relationship with a business, and thus I highly recommend avoiding Tim's and purchasing a car in the Phoenix or Flagstaff marketplace.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Missing parts after car serviced

By Will T. on 6/7/2015 at 3:04 PM. Helped by Mike, Service Manager.

I had my car serviced at Tim's Subaru, they were prompt to get me in the door which was great. The last dealership to work on my vehicle had done a poor job and was responsible for my fix, so I went back to Prescott to retrieve my car while I worked things out and I told Tim's Subaru to keep my car dismantled. Upon returning home my mechanic casually noticed the radiator missing, they promptly found the radiator and my washer fluid reservoir and sent them to me. Several months later I was able to get my car fixed and a new long block installed, while my mechanic was putting everything together he found many missing parts, which totaled to over $400 in new parts I had to buy, including belts, and covers, and a battery, etc. Because Tim's Subaru had failed to put all my parts into my car for some reason. When I called and told Mike, the service manager he told me to send him a list of the parts and he would take a look. He never got back to me after I sent him the list and I told him to please just send me a check. He didn't. Months later when I had time again I sent him an email and he called me and told me there was nothing he could do, that the parts "should" have been put back in my car. Sorry buddy, but the parts were never put back in my car because your guys were being incompetent. I would like for them to please send me my check I requested because it is not right that I have to pay for parts that were on my engine when I brought it to them and then those parts went missing when I picked up my vehicle. My vehicle was always locked always, except at the Tim's Subaru dealership, the car was left in the lot with the window rolled down because they had pulled the battery, I had to take and put jumper cables on my battery terminals before I could trailer it home so I could roll the window up, and no one would come and steal some very specific parts out of my car.

I would not recommend this dealer.

HOWO I AVOIDED PRESCOTT SUBARU

By Karlsson on 4/13/2015 at 6:23 AM. Helped by SALES.

I MAY HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE BUT CAN'T SEEM TO LOCATE IT IF I DID - HOWEVER, I EMAILED PRESCOTT SUBARU ABOUT A USED CAR THEY HAD ON THEIR LOT AND ALSO SOME NEW ONES TO PRICE COMPARE. I RECEIVED ONE CALL WITH VAGUE INFORMATION AND NOT REALLY ANSWERING MY QUESTION, BUT THEN WAS DELUGED WITH 6 PHONE CALLS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS HOUNDING ME TO COME IN. I HAD PREVIOUSLY ENCOUNTERED A SALEMAN ON THE LOT WEEKS EARLIER, AND HIS AGGRESSIVENESS - EVEN FOLLOWING ME AND YAKING ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE SERVICE CENTER AT TIMS TOYOTA - HAD GIVEN ME THE FEELING THAT THIS DEALERSHIP WAS NOT FOR ME. ALTHOUGH I ALSO LIVE IN PRESCOTT, I ENDED UP DRIVING TO TUCSON SUBARU WHERE I PURCHASED MY OUTBACK AND HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. I WONT EVEN SERVICE AT PRESCOTT SUBARU, AND INSTEAD DRIVE TO PHOENIX WHEN I NEED SERVICE WHERE THEY ARE ALSO WONDERFUL AND THEY EVEN VACUUM AND WASH YOUR CAR EACH TIME IT IS IN FOR SERVICE.!

I would not recommend this dealer.

What a disaster!

By Potato on 3/12/2015 at 5:13 AM. Helped by Can't remember.

I had work done on my car by CERTIFIED SUBARU TECHNICIANS. Recently, I took my car to the dealer back home in California. They were amazed that this car was serviced by someone certified by Subaru. I had work done on my timing belt cover. They used the wrong sealant! Because of this, internal components became cracked and are now leaking as a result. The repairs to make up for their mistake would have cost me twice of what the initial job should have cost. Luckily, the work was done under warranty and Subaru Pacific took care of me. Not only did they botch work on my ENGINE, the also used the wrong OIL FILTER and probably wrong oil too. I thought these guys were friendly and convenient. Truth is, they're a bankrupt dealership and will cut corners anywhere they can. I will happily drive to Phoenix next time I need service on my car. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Prescott Subaru Sales Manager is a non professional jerk

By Customer on 2/2/2015 at 12:54 AM. Helped by Chris and sales person Jason.

I reluctantly purchased a new subaru just two weeks ago from Tims in Prescott.. They had bad reviews, so I tried Tuscon and other dealerships first but I live near Prescott..hoped it would be convenient.. I regret this choice now.. Their sales person was nice..until there was a slight amount of opposition from my question.. He apologized.. The next day.. But I saw his other side.. Two weeks after purchasing car.. I was sitting by the side of road..just now..on way to friends Super Bowl evening... The back window literally EXPLODED.. Broke into a zillion pieces.. There was nothing in the back seat..and no one on road.. I feel it was a manufacturers flaw.. Windows can break if installed with a small flaw.. Well, I called the Prescott Subaru Manager, Chris.. He was IMMEDIATELY. Rude, condescending and dismissive.. He told me it was my fault and I should go to my Insuranse company.. He went on to re-iterate that "thousands of cars have never had this happen..therefore it is a rock or something..I am not fixing it! Go to your Insuranse co" He is a rude non professional mean person..not a good customer service manager.. I am not sure how to deal with this broken window yet..it's Sunday.. If you are buying a car..avoid Chris or go somewhere else.. If he runs the place, everyone under him follows suit..

I would not recommend this dealer.

The sales personnel were too pushy

By Karlsson on 12/31/2014 at 10:33 PM. Helped by Don't Know.

I contacted the dealership on line requesting information about price and availability of a specific car. Someone called me back promptly and gave me the information, which was great. However, he asked me if/when I might come by to see the vehicle and I declined to make a commitment, but indicated that I might come by in the next few days. After that I received no fewer than 4-5 calls from this guy and others, pressuring me to make a commitment to either come in or buy the car. I did not appreciate the pushiness and hard sell approach and disengaged with this dealership in order to escape their tactics. I do not operate this way. If I am going to buy a car, I make the decision to pursue it if and when I want to. The high pressure approach put me off and I ultimately made contact with Tucson Subaru where I had a wonderful experience and purchased a car within days of my experience with Tim's Subaru. Although I will ultimately utilize this dealership for service, I would feel much more comfortable if I could deal with the Tucson group.

I would not recommend this dealer.

I sent an offer to Tim's Subaru through the Subaru...

By ErinStringer on 3/30/2013 at 6:43 PM. Helped by Mark Falk.

I sent an offer to Tim's Subaru through the Subaru website. The offer was linked to a particular stock # and was accepted on the 29th of the month. I had to complete the transaction by the next day in order to get it on the books for the month. I called before driving 90 minutes to the dealer just to verify the final price and get clarity on a couple of questions. That is when the sales person said "you wanted a base model right?" I said "no, my offer was for a Premium". The response was "that car was sold a couple of weeks ago and the price will be $2k higher for the one you want. Classic bait and switch. The staff seemed friendly enough but the sales tactics are underhanded at best. You may have a good experience there but buyer beware, they are not above bait and switch tactics.

I would not recommend this dealer.

By sneimy on 11/7/2010 at 3:44 PM. Helped by Dennis Stensby.

My experience with Dennis was great in every way. I started my search for a new vehicle on-line and Dennis's response was quick, professional, and honest. After arriving at the dealership, Dennis was courteous and knowledgeable. I left with the vehicle that I had been searching for at the price that I wanted. I highly recommend that you contact Dennis if you are in the market for a new vehicle. The total time that I spend at the dealership including a test drive, price negotiations, financing, and taking delivery of the vehicle was 4 1/2 hours. My thanks go out to Dennis and all those involved with my purchase. Thanks! Sue Neimy
