Service Review

I was referred to five star by my wife because of their food technical service but was quite a bit disallusiones following several issues having my car repaired. I initially went in for service on my ignition switch and ended up paying 938.00 for a new key and electrical work. What I noticed after the repair was my heat wasn’t working after the repair but previously did. After taking the car back to be rel-diagnosed it was revealed that I had a upped radiator hose leak which affected the heat. I find it interesting that while the diagnosis included the leak the fact that the heat would be affected want mentioned until after I brought the car back. The service. Person Khalil, who really didn’t listen to me until I actually had to hang up on him and consult the manager. I’ve felt very disrespected by this whole process as upon bringing the car bAck to be serviced I was informed that the wrong part was ordered. It took three hours to find this out taking up my entire morning. Perhaps this could have been avoided if Khalil had called. Me back the day before since I left two messages. FINALLY finding out about the mishap I’m having to wait two Moore days to pay another 400 dollars making a total of $1400.00 over a two week period. The kicker being having to wait 15 minutes for my UNREPAIRED car to be brought to me as the driver was busy and another service person seemed too busy to simply go get it. The bottom line is I am going to get the repair done because I’ve come too far to not get it done but feel extremely taken advantage of and disrespected in this process. This service dealership doesn’t seem to have. Much respect for its customers time and money; at least not in my case David

Pervis Reynolds is awesome.

I went to Five Star Ford in Stone Mountain as my first stop shopping for a new truck. I was introduced to Pervis Reynolds. From the very first, I was impressed with his professional approach. He was very responsive to all questions and treated my wife and I as friends rather than customers. Pervis worked every possible option to give us the best deal possible. If not for Mr. Reynolds, we probably would have continued shopping. As a result of our meeting Pervis Reynolds, Five Star Ford, Stone Mountain was our first and last stop and I am now the happy owner of a new Ford F-150. While waiting on paperwork, financing etc., we spoke with several others including Linda (the receptionist) and Wes Pope (the dealership owner) and all were very cordial and professional. Unfortunately, I don't remember all their names as our conversations were a great way to pass the time talking about sports, cars and other topics.

I would recommend this dealer.

Constant sloppy work

I have been taking my truck to this dealership for years. It right next to my shop, so it's convenient. That's where the good vibes stop nowCredibility with your service department is at an all-time low. EVERY time I get something done there, there are issues. I still have scratched rims to look at from the tire change, when radiators get replaced, it gets replaced with donors from other trucks with grime on it and I'm told it's a remanufactured unit. Manufactured units get a bath to make it look like new. The wires get cut when the tensioner pulley is replaced and gets taped back together. Hot engines and cheap tape adhesive don't work well together. I get oil over my windshield and engine to where I have to pull into a gas station to clean it with soap and water, because I couldn't see out the window when the wipers started up. The cab gets lifted when I replace the turbos and half the cab bolts are loose to where you can turn parts by hand... The list goes on. Now my rotors and pads are replaced and immediately the chirp is loud enough to drive you crazy and the bearings fail. Just lovely.

Worst service department

I took my 2015 ford taurus sho for engine oil change, wash and vaccum. Wash and vaccum was worthless. Looked like they sprayed water and give it to you. Its not only me who noticed that, there was an old woman who had them re-washed and vaccummed her car because they didn’t clean her car good too. Not only that, I did the full synthetic oil change and they put the sticker for synthetic blend oil which is $50 cheaper. I doubt if they put synthetic blend oil and charged me for full synthetic oil. Another thing, service desk guy Darryl was very rude when I told him the cleaning service was not good. He said “ I am not gonna detail your car for $9.99” in a very rude manner. Worst customer service experience.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Jojo is the man to see!

I had been to several dealerships looking for a good deal on a car for my grand daughter. All of Five Star Ford’s employers are great but JoJo was the exception. He was respectful and most of all “his word is bond.” Not your usual car salesman. I’ve bought many cars in my life and have never dealt with a car salesman with integrity! Jojo set the bar high!

Used Ranger with trade-in

I went to the dealer to look at a used Ranger, with the possibility of trading in my vehicle. I liked the truck, but the trade offer was much too low. I'm not a negotiator, so I didn't bargain down the truck price, only the trade value which I was ready to walk away from. They eventually agreed to the terms. On driving home, the front was making some rattling noise I didn't notice on the test drive. I contacted Jermaine, and he spoke with Bud, his manager. I took the truck in and they didn't have the part, so I came back again. The new part didn't fix it, so they continued to troubleshoot and needed another part. Bud approved all the work to be done, and my truck was fixed. I appreciate the integrity demonstrated in fixing a truck just purchased and making it right.

Horrible sales and service

On April 11, 2018 The service manager at the Five Star For Stone Mountain, GA located on Hwy 78, Snellville, GA is now concocted this story because they don't want to fix my A/C. that I financed with my Ford Escape for $3,000. Five Star ford is continually giving bad customers service and now they are telling lies and giving Bad customer service and not honoring my $3,000 warranty and refusing to fix my A/C. They want me to pay an additional $1600 to fix my air. It a rip off and I do not recommend this dealership for sales and/or service. I purchased my SUV at this dealership and their warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on. Bad customer service all the way around and they are ripping off the community of Snellville. Also, the service manager lied and said that I said the fender bender caused my A/C to go out. That's a lie and I didn't say that. My A/C was working after the fender bender and I have full insurance coverage and my insurance co. would have paid that other auto body shop to fix my A/C along with repairing the fender bender, but my A/C was working at that time. Don't go to Five Star Ford, they will lie & add fraudulent notes to your records after the fact. J. Washington

Mediocre Experience

I was in the market to buy a top of the line F150 ($65k) I knew what I wanted and what I could purchase the vehicle for at another dealer. We agreed on the price over the phone with the understanding that there would be no surprises when I showed up. The process took much longer than it should have. The truck should have been detailed and ready to go. It wasn't. I left and came back to complete the transaction. The people in finance tried to push me to finance at a higher rate. They corrected it, but almost lost the sale.

Tony was a great salesman! He Helped us get get everything set up quickly & was very friendly. He kept it honest and real with keeping within my desired budget. Tony was very helpful and had me in & out. Richard the sales manager was very helpful and great to work with as well. Couldn't thank them enough for helping me get into my car as the perfect graduation present to myself. They had a great end of the year sale going on! This dealership is a must buy from location!

Recent College Grad

I'm a recent college grad who also got a new job that started a week after graduation. My car was done for and I didn't know what I was going to do. I was able to get a new car right before I started my new job and it's all thanks to Jojo at 5starFord! They worked with me and now I'm able to drive safely to and from wherever I need to go. Pleasant Surprise

The salesman was friendly, not pushy, and quick. Based on experiences with other dealerships, the finance department was uncharacteristically friendly, and moved the process along. There was no haggling, they heard our desires and worked to execute according to our plans. While othercdealerships often take half the day to finalize sales, we were in and out in three hours.

Excellent Service !

During a late Oct visit the front two chrome rims on my F150 KR were damaged. The chrome plating chipped off. Hunter Fikes in the service dept. agreed to have the repair the rims. As it turned out the plating could not be repaired. Five Star contacted the Mother Ship in Detroit and found out the chrome plating issue was a manufacturers defect. The front two wheels were replaced. Hunter evaluated the other two wheels and determined that one additional wheel should be replaced. The service team always give 110 %. There is no attempt at a hard up-sell when you visit their facility. They don’t attempt to rebuild your vehicle on each visit. At a side note I required some body work on my wife’s Mustang GT and the body shop did a great job. PS: Darryl in the Quick Lane dept. also does a great job.

Only place to buy a Raptor

Tony couldn't have been more helpful. Picked me up from the airport free of charge! Highly recommend this dealership. I called 30 dealerships (no exaggeration) before I found this one. Every other place I called were charging a $5000-$15000 premium on their Raptors, just because they could. I flew up from Orlando and saved at least $5000!
