Service Department is AWFUL

I am rating Ford of Escondido (1) star but would give 0 stars if they would allow. Service Department is absolutely terrible. I have never written a review (good/bad) before, but due to these circumstances I felt like I needed too. I purchased a new F-350 diesel truck on 1/30/18. There was a scratch on the mirror when I bought it, it was noted and I informed them that I would replace at its first service. I had an appointment and took my truck in for its 1st service (purchased Maintenance Plan,) the mirror replacement (under contract,) and a Tire Pressure Sensor error. To make a very long story short, service was AWFUL, I had to call in everyday to find out why my truck was not done, was given a different story every day. By Thursday I was fed up and I spoke to the Service Director, Shon Craft. I again, told them the several different stories that I was receiving, the last in which, they had to order a part that would not be available until the following Tuesday. He was very rude, not helpful at all, mentioned that there was a part in Costa Mesa, but they had already ordered the part so too bad. I told him I would pick it up and he refused. This man should not be in any position to be a manager, as he did absolutely nothing to help rectify the situation. After a very frustrating call, I asked him to call me with an update tomorrow, he had the nerve to tell me “no” he would call me when the part arrived. I reported the dealership to Ford Motor Company and filed a case. The representative could not believe what the dealership had put me through. She said that the case was filed and that a manager would contact me, to date, no one has called. I picked my truck up today to find the mirror was not replaced and notes said “No blemishes Found noted, Blem Walk Around” by Anthony Moccia. I also contacted the general manager, Josh Irvine, and nicely left him a message regarding some of the Service Departments issues and never received a call back. I could go on and on with additional situations that the Service Department has put me through, but I won’t. I am ONLY writing this for the people (the everyday consumer,) save yourself the nightmare and go ANYWHERE else. A formal complaint will be filed with BBB as well.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Outstanding, honest and friendliest Auto dealership.

This was quite honestly the most pleasant Auto dealership I have ever been to. From Sean the salesman to Phillip the sales manager to Robert from Finance dept. They all went out of their way to ensure that I received the best deal and that I was content with the level of service. Sean and Phillip even followed up subsequent to the sale, to make sure I was satisfied. This experience has made me a return customer to Escondido Ford. Thank you. Edgar Diaz

Fix one thing and damage another

I brought my car in because the check engine light was on, they are unable to diagnose it until The third visit and drop off, they did fix the problem, but when I picked my car up, the rear bumper has damage done to it, service manager says it's not their problem

Buyer beware

The buying experience was nice everyone was great! Until one week and 600 miles later I noticed my back speakers didn't work and a small portion of the touch screen stereo was non responsive. (Something no buyer would have ever noticed at purchase, and the dealer certainly didn't tell me!) I drove it back first chance I had figuring "its Escondido ford a huge reputable company they will for sure take care of me" NOPE! Nothing we can do,sorry, we realize we sold it to you that way and didn't tell you but its yours now. Steve

One of the best car buying experiences ive had. The dealership was great. Very clean and modern. They had a huge selection of cars. The car i negociated online was on the lot and ready for me to test drive. From eric the salesman through the finance office it was a no pressure enjoyable experience

I just bought a used car from this place and Eric could not have been more helpful. I ran into a few problems with the car and he was able to get them taken care of extremely quickly. He really does care about his customers and wants to make sure you are completely satisfied with your vehicle. At no point during my time with him did I feel like he was trying to sneak anything by me. He was able to get me a great deal and I couldn't be more happy with my experience here.

Untrustworthy

We just spent an hour waiting for a car that had a recall repair after we were told it was done. We had to wait a considerable amount of time to be helped when we dropped the car off and when we arrived to pick it up. As we went to leave, we notice that the key fob was not the one we dropped the car off with. When we went in to ask about it the excuse was that the stealership had lost our fob due to a dysfunction with the car wash people. I call B.S. on this as the car was brought out dirty. They had to reprogram the car to the new fob and did not say a word to us or note it on the service paperwork. Now that means our other fob would not be recognized either. This screwup means more wait time as the car needs to be programmed for our other fob and washed. This level of incompetence and lying by omission is unacceptable. Look elsewhere for a service department with integrity.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Reggie was my sales representative, Trey and Ray helped me seal the deal and I have to say all three were super attentive and provided excellent service. Especially Reggie, he really took the time to understand what I'm looking for and my financial situation and at the end of the day I got the exact car I wanted and deal I could afford.

They matched a Loss Leader Ad from another dealership!

This is the third Ford purchase that our large family has used this dealership in the last 18 months. Escondido Ford wanted our business and matched a loss leader ad from another delearship even though they lost a pile on the sale of my truck. Thank you George Lorenzo as you helped facilitate the sale price and made certain that every rebate and discount was also added onto our already rock bottom price. George made certain my military widowed spouse also received the $750 military appreciation bonus . George did a great job and provided service to our family above and beyond what was expected. Thank you Escondido Ford and our family will certainly be back to purchase another Ford from our neighborhood dealer Escondido Ford.
