Brakes and tires.

I had rotors turned. Fine. Bought new tires. Was shown 3 sets. Choose Goodyear Wranglers. Asked and was told they would be raised white outlined letters. They put black on and told me they made a mistake. I did research and called service twice leaving message first call and asked for service manager to call on second call. Never heard from nobody so far. I plan on trading in my 2015 Lariat in within the next year. I do not think I will return to Fort Mill.

I would not recommend this dealer.

No communication. Dont care.

Engine check light came on. Had a diagnostic at firestone which said needs a new spark plug on cylinder one. Decided to take it to fort mill ford. Booked it in on line day before and asked for the 100,000 mile service that includes new plugs. Also asked them to check front brakes as i could see some scoring on rotors. Also had online chat to ask for rough idea of cost. Lady on line said she would call me. Took details. No call. Took it in 9.10am, 20 mins before appointment time and referenced online booking. Check in tech re took all details and i authorised 100000 mile service with new spark plugs and brakes if needed. Agreed to new air filter and coolant flush also He said he would call me when ready to pick up . No need for oil change as firestone did it day before No calls by 3.45pm so called . Left voice mails, called via reception. Put thru to voice mail. No return call. Eventually did get a call.car not ready. She said they had run diagnostic and needs new plugs and coils but cant find grinding noise on brakes. I never said there was a grinding noise but at 92,000 i was ready to pay for a brake job. She said service tech had taken it down wrong. I pointed out it was also writren down on on line bboking form. They hadnt looked at that. Duh! Bottomline they did nothing all day and eventually admitted they were overbooked and the appointment times mean nothing. Quoted me $1,000 plus for new plugs and a brake job.. Asked me to leave car overnite and offered a coutesy car but could not say what type. Should be able to sort it tomorrow and i could have the courtesy car all day. Big deal. . I picked my truck up and will take it elsewhere. They are disorganized and dont care.they dont listen. Ive bought 4 cars there and change out at 100,000 typically. They used to be good. But no more at fort mill ford. They said there is no charge but admitted they had done nothing. Took them 15 minutes to pull the car round. Nobody had a clue what was happening. You lost a customer thats what. It ran lumpy all way home. They did something. But i am not dealing with them anymore. They admitted the appointments are just to stop everyone going in first thing. They dont answer phones or return calls. They dont care. I wish i could get away with this lack of responsiveness in my business C

Bait and Switch

Stay away from these crooks! I drove 3.5 hrs to purchase a Santa Fe that was advertised on autotrader and their own website. Called to verify they had that vehicle and that there would be no price surprises. The advertised price was $20,400. Test drove the vehicle and was proceeding with paperwork to buy when..... surprise! They claim the price was wrong and should have been $26,499. Mistake or not, avoid these idiots!

Communications needs to improve

My Ford F150's engine light came on so I brought it in to the dealer I bought it at, Fort Mill Ford. They told me I needed a new oxygen sensor, but they would have to oder since they did not have in stock. They instructed me to pick up my car and would call me when it came in. I forgot about it since my engine light went out, but when it came back on a couple of months later, I called the dealer about the part. They advised it had come in awhile ago, but they forgot to call me. I scheduled the service visit and dropped it off at 1:00 in the afternoon, since they said they had to wait for the engine to cool down before replacing the part, but would have it ready well before the end of the day. This was important as I had to be at work early the next morning. At 6:30pm I called them since I had not received a call and was told by the last service tech there who was walking out the door, that my truck had not been completed, but should be ready sometime the next day and someone should have called me to advise me. Obviously this created a huge problem for me getting to work, so the tech, who was not responsible for my repair, arranged a loaner for 7:00am the next morning. Things did work out the next day, but if I hadn't called them, I would have been screwed the next day. One more strike like this and I will find a new service location.

20,000 Mile Service

When I first came to my scheduled appointment anther service advisor looked me up in the system and said this person is your advisor and he is outside with another customer. She sat there and played on her phone while I stood there for another 5 minutes, she also did this to 2 other customers with no offer of any assistance. I went in for a 20K service and had a knocking when I had the wheel turned. I told them figure out what the knocking was and I would come back and drop it off to get it fixed. This service took me a total of 3.5 hours and they told me for the last hour that it is finishing up. I asked for the service manager and the answer was he was in back. I was never told what took so long and no one ever offered to talk with the manager even after I already asked for them.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Simplified Experience

My level of expectations were exceeded in the car purchase experience. I had done some basic research, determined the type of vehicle, year range, important options for us and budget. There were 4 vehicles that would work. Chris Mills the Associate that guided me was receptive ,easy to talk to, answered my questions, pointed out items during my vehicle viewing. This is now our 5th new Ford purchased with Fort Mill Ford will never ever go anywhere else. We actually had went to Fort Mill Ford on Sunday not knowing they were closed, so we unfortunately went to another Ford dealer in the area and the treatment we received was terrible. Needless to say the very next morning; called Fort Mill talked to one of our favorite sales associate and drove home later that day with our new F-150. Highly recommend Fort Mill Ford, we have all our service work & purchasing there. They treat you like family, no better dealership in the area! 5 Stars are not enough 10 stars!

used to be very happy

My car has not been serviced anywhere else besides Fort Mill Ford. However, the last two experiences have been negative. The first was when my car came in for "The Works" and it was hit. In all fairness,they did have me bring it back in and they removed the dent. The paint is bubbling there but it is minimal. Secondly, I brought my car in on Saturday again for "The Works." I picked it up around 4:00 pm and drove right home. When I got in the vehicle next to drive it, the service engine light came on. I called the dealership and they stated to bring it in and something probably just needed to be reset. When I arrived I was told this was not the case and I needed to have a diagnostic at the cost of $137. This was not acceptable to me since the car was in your care and was fine and I picked it up and the light came on. I went to O'Reilly where they did a complimentary diagnostic to find out it is a P26B7 service engine code. I called the dealership and told them this was the case and asked what happened during the inspection to cause this? Now, I cannot prove this happened under their care but it does seem very coincidental. I would have hoped that given the circumstances, they would have said "Let's waive the diagnostic and see if we can come to a happy resolution." This was not the case. Maybe it is all a fluke but I think something could have been done to resolve the issue. Although I have been coming to Fort Mill Ford for almost six years, moving forward, I will be exploring other options.

F350 repair

I towed my F350 service over to them for ECU problem. The truck was there for 3 weeks and they said it was repaired. I picked it up and 2 days later it happened again. I had to tow it over again and they changed out the ECU but took over a week for the repair. Their repair lasted 4 days and to bring it back again. The truck has been in the shop for over 2 weeks and they can’t figure out the problem and is still there. It only has 38k miles on it. Terrible service. I will NEVER bring it there again

Good Experience for Vehicle Service

Greeted professionally by service advisor, Frank Arnold. I always appreciate his thorough explanation when there are service or mechanical repairs needed. He never pressures me toward a decision but offers advice and explains how he handles similar needs w/his own vehicles. I feel he's honest and fair and wants to do what's best for the situation.... I recommend Frank as your service advisor if you're doing business w/Fort MIll Ford..... has my strong recommendation.

UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Brought Ford Transit to be repaired. Service department ran analysis and provided repair cost of $850.00. After asking if this would return the vehicle into service, assured that this was fix the issues. Agreed to $850.00 repair. After repairing (before vehicle was returned), service department called and informed me that the $850.00 repair was not enough and the vehicle required another $1,200.00 in repairs. Asked for trade in value of vehicle and was informed that the dealership would trade in for $1,000.00. Clearly, the service department is unable to provide an accurrate estimate on the cost of repair or has very unprofessional business practices. Either way, I would never bring a vehicle to be serviced here again. Went to another service department and fixed vehicle for under $300. Not a trustworthy service department.
