Finally a service center that doesn't try to take advantage

Brought my Beetle in for service at 32,000 miles and expected to have a $300 service charge for different maintenance my manual stated I should get. My bill was under $150 and I was told that my vehicle was in great condition. Glenn was extremely helpful and made me feel comfortable.

FOX VALLEY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR "CERTIFIED" VEHICLES

Fox Valley DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR "CERTIFIED" VEHICLES! Just had to spend $750 replacing all four brakes (pads and rotors) on a "certified" 2015 VW Golf I purchased THREE MONTHS AGO due to four warped rotors and unevenly worn brake pads. Go to http://www.vw.com/certified-pre-owned/. VW clearly states that "Our 100+ Point Dealer Inspection process includes: Testing brakes for proper function, stopping distance, and vibration." However, when I called Fox Valley within a week of purchasing the car explaining that my brakes were pulsating, the Fox Valley service manager replied that "our certification process only includes measuring brake pad thickness and visually inspecting rotors." They refuse to cover the cost of the brake job even after admitting that they do not follow VW's certified inspection process. Unbelievable.... Even my local dealer that did the brake job said the brakes should have been replaced before the car was ever sold. Long story short, I filed a formal complaint against Fox Valley through VW Customer Care with equally pathetic results and I'm still out the $750. Learn from my experience and DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM FOX VALLEY VW!

Good Problemsolving

I bought a certified vehicle with Antonio Olvera as the salesman. He was very friendly and cared a lot about my opinion. Before and after the purchase was final he was incredibly helpful and was very concerned about ensuring I was satisfied. My vehicle is a Certified Volkswagen Beetle, but I realized after purchase that the window did not seal all the way. I contacted VW customer service, and Fox Valley serviced my vehicle at no cost to me while providing me with a loaner for free. Antonio picked up my car directly from my house so that I didn't have to drop it off at the dealership, which was very convenient. I talked to a manager before the transaction, and he was not friendly, but wasn't mean. It almost seemed as if I were inconveniencing him. Overall, I was okay with how everything turned out, although discovering the problem with my window was stressful.

Smells fishy to me.....

I worked with jake levin, Jim bucolt and shay Omar. These guys are a bunch of liars. Bought an Audi s4 and was told it only had a cat back exhaust and that the check engine light was on due to a low voltage code. Asked him to run the codes again and they said for a second time it was a low voltage code. Complete lies it was an issue that needed $600 to repair. Got the car and it had the ECU tune and down pipes. Not what I expected. This was the start. Didn't receive a title for 6 weeks and when I called or sent emails I was told it is in the mail. Just got off the phone with someone at fox valley to find out it was in the owners briefcase the whole time??? Smells fishy to me. I can only assume that I bought a car with a lien on it and they took my money to payoff the Lien. I would not buy from this dealership. Do your research and find a dealership that knows what they are doing. Buyer beware with these folks.

Friendly, professional, helpful

One of the best car shopping experiences I've had. No pressure, no gimmicks. Fernando made every effort to understand what I needed and offer the most appropriate vehicles for me to consider. I was shopping pre-owned and so ultimately had to buy elsewhere this time, but I plan to add another car this summer and Fernando at Fox Valley will be the first person I call.

Worst Experience Ever!

Worst Experience I ever had in my life time (regardless of buying anything) - I would rate in minus if there is an option to do so Things they did really bad for me when doing business with them for used car (07 BMW 5 series) - I found a oil leak when I did a pre-inspection and told the dealer before I bought.. The dealer service dept then inspected and said it was just overflow when an oil change was done and nothing to worry about. Which was totally wrong and sold a crap car to us (they gave a 1000 miles guarantee for the oil leak) - the exact miles in the car was 72,431.. but purposely in records they have put 72,231 just to cheat me a 200 miles to cover up their 1000 mile warranty to make it as 800 miles which I just noticed after 2 days only. - I bought a extended warranty with them for $4,500 "platinum" bumper to bumper. but the receipt for that was missing along with all the other documents they gave to us which I noticed in my home. I called "Ed" from Finance Department and asked him.. he then scanned and emailed me back after my 5th follow up call.after seeing the receipt I saw I was cheated that he signed up for "gold" which is just basic stuff and it costs $3700.. But he charged me $4500 for a "platinum" - My wife had a pre-approval already when we took this car out from this dealer. it took few days from her CU to process the final check and sent it back to this dealer. In between without our attention "Ed" from finance department ran not 1 or 2.. but 7 hard inquires on her credit. we were devastated when we came to know after a month when it got reflected in Credit karma.. I called "Ed" immediately and yelled at him but he was replying very cool.. "that's what we do"!! really?? this is how u do a business?? playing with others credit history?? I told him so many times that we already had a pre-approval.. just that we want them to get him the final amt check from our CU. but he never bothered about that all..7 hard inquires now really impacts my wife's credit score and history... it will take next 2 years to clear it up. - After I took the car to my home within a week I found the oil was leaking badly and took to them saying there is definitely a oil leak. they took to a local service center and returned my car after several days saying it is fixed now. - That same day I also went to Finance department to meet "Ed" and told him we don't need the Extended warranty anymore and we want to cancel it (the extended warranty offered 60 days money back guarantee ) he took a sheet that says application and took sign from my wife and said ok.. don't worry your money will be refunded in full in about 4 to 6 weeks. but he never submitted anything - In-fact I came to know that he never ever submitted our original Extended warranty application in the beginning when we bought the car but they took $4500 from us. I figured out this by calling that extended warranty company CS and checking the status of our refund after 6 weeks.. They said your name, address not even your Car's VIN is in our system.. that time I came to know I was cheated. I was even imagining that the person "Ed" from finance took our money and did scam. I immediately reached him asking for the refund status and he was replying very cool - "we have applied.. it will take some time'. I said I have directly called the CS and they said they don't have us in our system at all. Then he was very much alerted and said u will get your money back in 2 weeks.. I don't know what he did but I received a check.. its a 4.5 grand money for almost 2 months got lost somewhere.. and it came back to us after all. - I also found the car did not have a user manual. it cost me 50 bugs when I buy it ebay. - The car did not come with Navigation DVD though the car was equipped with Navigation. I was to wait for almost 2 months to get a cd from them.. again I have to fight with them to get that. There is still few more bad things to say but this itself shows their incredible customer car service and the way they do their business. Clearly no one was taking care of us at any point of time and every time I have to fight for simple things to happen. They were so lazy and careless. I'LL NEVER EVER EVEN GO BACK TO THIS DEALER EVER AGAIN. I strongly urge anyone to stay away from this dealership.these guys they will lie and deceive you all the way to the bank, and then turn there backs on you! Buyer Beware!

I have purchased five cars from this dealership and have bought all my cars from Fernando Rodriguez. I must say that Fernando is one of the kindest and straightforward sales associates I have had the pleasure to work with. Many times, Fernando calls me just to say hello and keep a friendship alive. Great car buying experience! Got my 2012 VW CC Lux Limited at a great price because of my Costco membership. Alphie helped me by suggesting a warranty that would extend all the way up to 100,000 miles. Volkswagen was able to offer me 0% financing for 66 months on this new car!! It was an overall pleasant experience working with Fox Valley Volkswagen when buying my CC. I would highly recommend this dealership!

We have now leased our FOURTH new vehicle from Alana at Fox Valley VW in West Chicago (currently '13 CC Sport and '12 Touareg TDI Sport w/Navi). We don't just happen to get Alana when we visit, we have sought her out ever since our first new vehicle from Fox Valley. Alana has always gone the extra mile for us and put up with our extremely stubborn requests, making us feel confident in each vehicle purchase we've made with them. She has an outstanding mix of professionalism and personability that is hard to find. We have been leasing from Alana and Fox Valley now for over three years and have not had ANY major issues with either our vehicles or the service provided by the dealership. The worst instance we have experienced was a brake light going out in our previous CC; this was covered under warranty and replaced within 30 minutes of showing up. The service department employees have always been a pleasure to meet with (especially Karen!)and extremely informative regarding any questions. I would give higher than "5" ratings for Alana, the service department, and the Sales Manager if possible; cannot recommend them any higher!

I purchased a used v.w certified 2010 with less then 20 k miles on a sat,I was dealing with the manger over used cars and was helpful,but after i purchased or signed the paperwork i asked for a copy of the v,w inspection report for my records along with the 2nd key? I was told by this manger we will take care of it,It was getting late by now and i needed to get home as this car was a birthday gift for my wife.On my way home i used the tollway and i noticed the car keep drifting and started vibrating.The next day i looked over the car much closer and found the rims were damaged along with the bumpers and they were painted a def,then the rest of the car,I know this car was a lees car and was under this dealership the hole time and i was certified by them? and had a 112 point check list that would have fixed all of it as good as new? So i took it right a way to the nearest certified v,w dealer witch was def,then the one i purchased it from.They looked it over and stated there was damage to all 4 rims and two were bent as far as the bumpers go they were repainted due to a accident and were repaired wrong and also had a total of over 15 things that needed repair! I also had to get a alignment just to keep from damaging the car any fuller.I called v,w customer care and faxed over paperwork from this inspection and they have been in contact with the manger of the purchasing dealership for almost two weeks and has had much resistance as i had.I did get a hold of the head manger and was told by him,I should have seen the prob,s before i bought it? This is not what v,w certified means fixed as good as new and all repairs are maid before you buy it? I strongly feel quality of work was very bad and the dealership did not back it up..
