2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I came into Franklin Sussex Auto Mall during the last week of December to start my search for a new car. Ryan was friendly, professional, and attentive to my needs. He brought out two cars that he thought would be my top choice, and let me pick which one I wanted to test drive first. Ryan made the test drive feel comfortable, while also answering any questions I had about the vehicle. I had honestly just gone to "look" but I actually ended up walking off the lot that day with a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Ryan stayed with me, the night before Christmas Eve until all of the paperwork was taken care of, and I drove off in my new car. 10/10 will use Franklin Sussex Auto Mall as my go to car spot. UNDERSTANDING MY NEEDS!

I never had owned a Jeep before I was always a HONDA girl, and I finally decided to try something different. I went to the dealership not expecting to buy a vehicle but just to begin my shopping process. When I met Ryan all that changed! HIs product knowledge was impressive and his compassion and listening skills were even better and when I explained to him in my older years I had developed arthirits and used to start wearing gloves while I drove he quickly showed me a vehicle with a heated steering wheel, that was also sporty and cute and from their it was a match made in heaven! More salesmen like Ryan will help make the "I hate car salesmen" stigma go away!!!!

Don't trust the service dept.

I am leasing a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup. When my wife and I returned from a 2 month trip, I went to drive my truck which had been parked outside during the winter. I noticed every time I braked, it felt like the brakes were pulsating or vibrating. I took it to Franklin Sussex thinking they would treat me fair since I bought the truck there. Well, they said the brake pads on the front and back needed replacing and I needed new rotors also because they were warped. I said how can that be, the truck only has 16,000 miles on it and I don't brake hard when I drive. I was given some story that the rust that built up on the rotor from being parked makes for an uneven surface and eventually causes it to warp. This was minimum a $1000 job. This didn't sound right to me, so I declined the repair and took the truck to Firestone. They checked it out and said the rotors just needed the rust cleaned off. They test drove it and the pulsating had stopped. They only charged $90. And they told me when new the brake pads are 10 mm thick, my front pads were 7mm and the back were 9mm. So nothing needed replacing! I am angry that Franklin Sussex lied to me. What makes me more mad is the realization that they might have just done the same fix as Firestone did and charge me for new pads and rotors, and I would never know the difference. I am never going back there for service and I suggest to anyone else if they give you an expensive estimate to go get a second opinion. You might end up saving a lot of money. I guess all those people who said never go to a dealer for repairs were right!

Calls and emails were returned in a timely fashion and once at the dealership, negotiation time was minimal and a nice change from the typical Long Island dealership. Will helped make my Jeep buying experience much more bearable. I had some bad experiences at other dealerships but he was honest, knowledgeable, and did what he could to get me what I wanted. He was professional and polite. He showed me the ins and outs of the Jeep. Nina, one of the managers there was also wonderful!! The guy in finance explained everything in detail and made it easier to understand. They were all great with my kids as well!! They make you feel appreciated there!! Highly recommend them!!

This dealership was very easy to deal with. Excellent manners, knowledge, and great attitude. I was very happy with the Salesman. Went over everything thougherly. His skills goes a long way. Worst dealer ever.

I took my dodge dart in for repairs as the transmission keeps losing gears. The first time they repaired a battery cable and said since the transmission is electric the cable was causing the problem. The problem came back 3 days later. Took it back and they said it was the battery itself. Replaced the battery and the problem reappeared the next day. Took it back and after 2 weeks said it is now faulty wiring on the transmission. They said it's a 2000 dollar job. The worst part is that a simple internet search revealed what the problem is. The car has nothing but transmission issues. Replacing the transmission is the only way to solve the problem. But they won't do that because it's covered by my warranty. So I've paid 1300 dollars for work they have done and I still want drive the car. So not only am I paying for a car I can't drive but having to pay for other ways to get to work.

I would not recommend this dealer.

I have owned Dodge trucks/vans for over 20 years and until I found F/S auto mall I always had problems with service, but not at F/S auto their team is top notch they always helped me and went above and beyond when my vehicles where there. I feel they have great service mangers and mechanic's that listen to your issues so they get it right the first time.I have purchased 4 vehicles from them for that reason I know I can trust them when I need service. Great team

Every encounter with this place sucks

I bought a new lease a few months ago and since that day I have yet to have a positive encounter at this place. The day I bought my Jeep was awful. I sat 6 hrs waiting to close the deal with finance. Once I got in, the entire deal was different than what I had previously agreed on 6hrs earlier with my salesman. They always have to stick it to you. No one was helpful with this and no one seemed to care. Fast forward three months later. My radio stops working. At first I thought maybe my free trial for Sirus ran out but then I tried XM and still same thing. It would play for 20 seconds and the whole system would shut off. I made an appointment for 2 days later to get it serviced. When I got the the dealership that day the guy at the counter said- before even having the vehicle looked at- nope no problem with it everyone is having the same problem sirus is updating the system should be fixed by tonight. No one thought to call me. The dealership sent out no emails explaining the defect. No one apologized for the inconvenience. Two days later it still doesn’t work. Im so frustrated with the lack of respect for their customers. I spent $38000 on a Jeep and I can’t even get an ounce of respect out of these people. Shame on them and shame on the managers training them.
