Unprofessional culture

Just stay away from this dealership. We like Chevy cars, but not this dealership; full of all unprofessional people. Shuttle service, you will have to wait for hours. Service people, some of them are good; most advisors as you know fall in the dealership culture. We got a car from here, and the salesperson was limping; so my wife got concerned and told him that she can give natural vitamin to take care of his problem. That salesperson got a bottle from her, never paid her and instead of payment started sending her indecent texts and photos. When my wife reported to his boss, his boss reported to the general manager and HR; all 3 said they will take care of the problem and they never did. The GM said, though it is quite indecent, it is your personal matter. Overall really unprofessional culture. Not against Chevy cars, but if you want them, do go to a professional dealer and not this one please.

Horrible experience

Purchased a car from here. The car has been having issue with driver assist system. But the service center here is not able to diagnose what the problem is for months. It's been 4 months that my car is at the service center with no progress made. The service personnel were extremely rude when I questioned them on the strangely long duration it's taking to fix the car. When I told them that I don't understand why the repair process is taking so long, the response I got was - " We don't expect you to understand since you don't work in the car business". Please stay away from this dealership. The service department in particular.

Cheated and Insulted!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read my review in detail before WASTING your valuable time at this dealership. This is by far the WORST experience I have had, leasing a car. I have had many leases in the past from Honda, BMW etc. and all of these had been a breeze. Let me explain what happened here. I contacted this dealership regarding a BOLT EV LT 2018 lease and was promptly given numbers on the phone. The numbers looked good to me. As soon as I received the numbers, I scheduled an appointment for the very next day and drove all the way in heavy traffic from San Jose. I then test drove the car, liked it and began the paperwork. The salesman even setup logins, took copies of all documents etc. All positive till here. Now comes the NEGATIVE part. Once the initial paperwork was complete, my salesman went to meet his manager, (Isaac) to get his final approval. At this time, Isaac, informs that this deal was agreed with another manager, Matt, who was not in the office and that this deal cannot be agreed on. If the deal is to be agreed with Isaac, I have to pay 44 dollars higher, monthly. I really felt that there was something fishy. It felt like one of those dealerships who call you in promising to get you a cheap number and when you come in, they raise the prices. My salesman did his best to convince him, however he came back unsuccessful. I then told my salesman that I would talk to Isaac myself. Isaac refused to come and meet us and asked our salesman to have us LEAVE and come back when Matt was here. This is by far the worst someone can treat you, especially when you are their customer. By this time, even the car had returned from the detailing department and was all cleaned up and ready to be driven. We were at the delearship for almost 2 hours!!!! When I walked out of the showroom, they realized that I am not ready to pay 44 dollars more monthly. Today my salesman called and asked me to pay another 700 dollars more in the downpayment to get the agreed monthly price. In simple words, the managers except Matt ( I have not personally spoken to Matt yet), are big time crooks. They try their best to squeeze every single penny from their customers. They are too arrogant to even come and talk to their customers in person. I wasted my valuable time on Friday evening coming to this dealership. Hope the readers of this review will save their time. I will surely post this review to other sources as well, like Facebook, Yelp, cargurus etc. This will surely raise awareness. Bottomline: If you commit to a price, honor it. Don't fool your customers. Also, learn to talk to people before calling yourself a so-called manager. I really feel cheated!!!!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Had an appointment and waited 30 min at my car before I was helped on Wednesday. Told him my camaro was making a rattling noise and it did not make the noise in front of him so he accused me of lying. He also kept making me uncomfortable by calling me love and saying that he is treating me like a daughter in front of my dad. Was told my car would be ready at 2pm on Friday. I called at noon on Friday just to confirm with my service adviser, Benny. He answered and said “i told you 2 o clock.” In a very rude voice and hung up on me. It’s now 4:30pm and I still have not even received a call telling me that it may take longer or anything. I have been bringing my car here to be serviced since I got it and I will not bring it back here because I am in utter disgust with Benny and his rude tone and accusing me of lying. Why would I bring my car in and spend money for no reason???? Terrible customer service.

Why can’t people just communicate and call SOMEONE back , a diagnostic test doesn’t take over 6 hrs , left 4+ messages NOTHING , I get it there busy but come come on a simple update would greatly be appreciated especially since my Tahoe was triggered by there techs when performing a tire rotation. Good thing it’s not Ed McMahon calling them, Should have gone to the one in San Jose - service there is awesome and so are the updates 🙄

Straight up liars - stay away from this place

Salesman Clark Saxberg deliberately wasted my time and gas by promising one price to get me to drive over there (I told him it was 45 minutes one way) and then giving me the "oh sorry but the sales desk wouldn't give it to me" line once I got to the place. These shysters lied to me at least four times, twice to my face.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Horrible, unethical sales tactics

Changed quoted, written offers in front of me hoping I wouldn't catch it. Crazy, how they kept playing with numbers rather than just say they couldn't give me a better price After, 1 manager told me to go buy a car elsewhere, after I had asked them to just stick with 1 set of numbers

why so bad?

OMG, how can worse become worst? You should go to this dealership if you are first one in line and 2 customers after you get serviced before you. Then service manager came and tried to diffuse it. You should give your car for servicing here if you don't want to be informed after the servicing is done. Service advisor doesn't care to inform you that your car is done. We are going back to San Jose. It is OK to drive all the way from Fremont to San Jose to get a good service instead of getting a bad going on worse. Didn't dare to go to the restroom again since last time experienced it was the worst smelling one. Didn't dare to ask for shuttle since the shuttle driver made us wait over 2 hrs before. Once we used his services and I was the last one to drop off, so offered him a tea and he came in and sat for 1 hr just chatting. No wonder, his this habit is making other customers wait for hours.

Bad Service and Very Disrespectful

This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. I have been shopping for a new vehicle for the past few months and have never been treated so disrespectfully by dealership until I arrived at Fremont Chevrolet. At first, I was dealing with Joel, who was nice, but pawned me off on “June”. “June” was pleasant, funny, and easy to deal with, and he would get 5 stars, if I wasn’t reviewing the dealership. That being said, Joel, internet sales, Jason, sales manager, and Chris, finance manager were nothing short of condescending, manipulative, and downright liars who couldn’t keep their stories or policies straight. They were “pleasant” until they had me on the “hook” to buy the vehicle, but when I refused to run a credit check with them, and attempted to get my private loan officer involved to purchase the vehicle, it suddenly became unavailable. I was talked over when I asked questions about their Homeland Security “OFAC” check, that is supposedly mandatory (even though NADA and NIADA say that it is not), and was accused of being a liar by Chris, when I called them out on the misinformation that I was receiving from them. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone ever and am greatly disappointed in the disservice I received. Dealerships like this is the reason why car salesmen get a bad report.

We stopped in not sure of buying a car.but ended up we did.the salesman knew his cars and was very pleasant throughout the whole process...and was very helpful in explaining everything concerning the car and fixing everything he could..

I have always had trouble going into a dealership and...

I have always had trouble going into a dealership and getting bullied into buying a car. But at Fremont Chevrolet this is not the case. Clark Saxberg made me feel like I was inportant and took the time to explain everything from test drive to mr driving home. His Manager was also the same way. I asked for a price and got one within minutes, asked for the invoice and again no problem. At other dealerships I have been to getting those two requests took a long long time. And I hate just sitting around. Please give them a chance. If you value your time, this is a place that is worth the shot of trying out. 5 stars and big thumbs up to FREMONT CHEVROLET. I love my new 2013 Malibu!!
