Worst Service ever got from service repair

By roshan on 7/8/2019 at 6:39 PM. Helped by Jim & Kevin.

Took my car in for service and they broke my car and did not take any liability. The technician did not know what he was doing. The service manager did not take any action towards the repair either. I ended towing the car out of there. The worst place to do the business here.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Dishonest dealership!!

By heathergal711 on 3/15/2019 at 5:01 PM. Helped by Alexandra.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Went last night to check out a 2018 Nissan Sentra at about 7:30pm. MSRP $21,991 List price $13,991. When we arrived we searched the parking lot for the car and didn’t find it. The car was on the show floor, it was in great condition with only 25 miles! We were given the run around initially about the car possibly being one that had damage. The salesman went to ask and then came back to tell us there was damage on it and that it was hail damage. We looked over the car and there didn’t appear to be any damage. The person that was wanting to purchase the car sat in it and decided he wanted to go forward with purchasing. We were then told that someone had put a $3000 deposit on it that morning which seemed weird because it was at least 10 hours later and the person hadn’t come pick up the car? Pretty ridiculous. So the sales guy pulled up another car similar but with more miles (16,000) and only about $1000 less. So the purchaser sat in the car and it was not as upgraded at the other one so decided against it. The sales guy didn’t even seem to want to talk to us or help find another car so we walked next door to sunrise Chevy (who were absolutely ANAZING!!) and ended up purchasing a car there. In the process of buying the car at Chevy I called Nissan to see if the Sentra was available and was told it was by Alexandra so I set up an appointment to see it at 10am the next morning (which I never intended on going to because they lied to us and said it wasn’t available when we went to go see it and possibly buy it). My family and I will NEVER deal with Nissan again! Hope Nissan is happy with themselves and losing out on a $17,000 purchase!

Never again

By Eric1970 on 3/7/2019 at 7:36 AM. Helped by Orlando.

Never again will I ever purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Fast talking, confusing sales is their game. I always feel like these people have no idea what honest and fair deal is. I will never return and definitely will advise others to steer clear of this place.

Worst dealership for car leases. Dont go there.

By Lunaeo on 3/24/2018 at 2:14 PM.

I went there two times to buy a 2018 Nissan Rogue. I was given a test drive to test the car and the car was wonderfull. I asked the salesman (i think his name was Larry) the options of buying and leasing the car. He told me and my wife that it was cheaper to lease it because when you buy it you end up with a car that in 5 years would be worth half the price. I asked if i could trade in my car and they run a report on it. He came back and told me I could get a $1000 for my car even though it is a 2012 Mazda 3 with only 36,000 miles. According to blue book it cost $10,000. They told me that the car had repairs done according to the car fax report and that one of them was a structural damage. I told him if he was crazy and he said no. I was passing by a garage when someone came out and hit me on the passanger door . The door got replaced but there was no damage to any structure. Anyways, he went inside his cubical, took a calculator, paper and pen and was calculating the lease payments on his own. He said if i give a down payment my lease would be cheaper. I said i could give $4000 and he went back to his cubicle. A few minutes later he cameback. He wrote in a paper $569 monthly for 36 months without downpayment. That is $20,484 for just leasing the car. With the $4000 he wrote $469 montly for 36 months. That is $16,524 + $4000 = $20,564. I told him if he was crazy because I saw and ad on tv for $200 montly lease and he said that was for a Nissan sentra. Then he offered me $4000 for my car. I said i would rather give it to a family member for free than giving it to the dealer for that amount. Then I said I could give $4000 down and $200 monthly for the lease and that was it. He said no and I left. You have to becareful when you go to this place because those guys in suits can fool and rip you off if you let them. I am smart enought to know that a Nissan Rogue SV price is $30000 and they wanted almost $21,000 for the lease. They are the fools. Dont go to this place please. They will rob you.

HORRIBLE service & STAFF

By Not Satisfied Customer on 1/25/2018 at 2:32 PM. Helped by Chris at service.

Svc for oil change; Edgar Felipe advised us battery need replacement & will take add'l 15min. He never came back to us after that. 2.5 hours later, when we approached him, he stated he's completing paperworks. While we caught him talking, laughing out loud, doing other things in the midst of this. Does paperwork should take 1.5 hours to complete on a service? If that's the case, the system has to be improve since the service didn't take that long. HORRIBLE experience! They came out with all LAME excuses. Bottom Line, customer waited because they were doing something else other than attending to their duties. I felt like we were pushed over because of our nationality and/or we have a loyalty service through them and discouraging us to use it. Your service was graded poor because of your Service Advisor, Edgar Felipe!!!!

ONCE YOU HAVE BOUGHT, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!

By joearko on 9/20/2017 at 2:33 PM. Helped by Tony Russo.

ONCE YOU HAVE BOUGHT, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!! I had a great buying experience, but that was the end of my positive experience with Glendale Nissan. My wife and I bought a used Altima from Tony Russo, who is highly professional and treated us very well. About a month later, we still hadn't received our registration. My wife and I called repeatedly, and every time we were forwarded to a voicemail that was NEVER returned. We both had to go into the dealership on multiple occasions before we got to speak with anyone. We were informed all we had to do was GO TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE to obtain our registration... It's always great to waste an entire afternoon of my life because they couldn't keep track of our paperwork... They will not help you with anything post-sale that isn't service related (revenue generating.) We will not be returning for any servicing of our vehicle as a result of our poor customer experience.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Outstanding service department

By Steve A. on 4/28/2017 at 8:38 PM. Helped by John Petrie Service Manger.

Bought a new Nissan Murano Platinium tech. Pkg from another dealer west of Glendale. A short time after, I heard a huge wind noise & when I drove it through a car wash water would pour in through the back of the sunroof into the catch tray where it meets the panoramic roof. Brought it back in to the dealer & they diagnosed it to be the right rear door gaskets?? I did not want to waste Nissans money & my time so I brought my vehicle to GLendale service dept. I talked to John Petrie ser. Mgr. , he listened, cared & let me take him for a test ride. He then put me in a loaner car & said he needs time to diagnose the vehicle. In the end he personally diagnosed the issue with several test rides masking off the roof to pinpoint the noise & leak, found a defect in the pano roof replaced it under warranty & now it is perfect. John in my opinion is a true professional, no nonsense, get it done type of person & I thank him very much for all the time & effort he put in to correcting the issue. Also hats off to Jim Hutcheson ser. Director to his winning Service Team , where they all work together to get 1st class results. Absolutely outstanding!!!!! Steve A. West Chicago

Lied and did not deliver on promise resulting large bill

By tony_912 on 3/21/2017 at 7:50 PM. Helped by Dean, Albert, Tamvir, Aris,.

Salesman promised to take my current lease and set me up with new car at no cost. Hi lied and I am faced with $4127 bill for early lease termination. The story: I was charging my car in Nissan Dealership when Salesmen approached and offered me to get me into new car with same payments. I told him that I have over ten months remaining on the lease of current car and he told me don't worry we will purchase your car and it will be like a trade in. He (Tanvir) offered me to just run the numbers and see if it make sense. Few hours after negotiations I gave them my old car and drove my new car signing the lease agreement with Albert (finance manager) who run all the numbers/checks and balances. Three months later I get a bill from Nissan Company for $4127 for early lease termination. I showed that bill to the Tanvir (salesman) and he told me it is a mistake he will take care of it, no problem. Month later I got another bill for same amount and Tanvir went out of his way telling me that it is taken care of, he talked to finance manager etc. When I got the bill third time in February I decided to talk someone else in the dealership to solve this issue. Dealer is refusing to pay this amount Here is what I found: I contacted the dealership via email detailing the problem. My first contact was General manager Dean who had audacity to call me at work and tell me that everyone involved with sale of my car already moved out of company and they don't have any records of trade in. Of course he is laying SOB, as I found out when I visited the dealership same day. I was greeted Tamvir (salesman), say hi to Albert (finance manager) and told them the issue, but I asked to speak to his management. Aris, his manager started the due diligence on the issue, but Albert was gone, so we met next day. Aris told me that he believes my story and Tamvir told him that they promised to take my car as trade in. The Albert declared amnesia, telling that he does not remember anything. So Aris digs in into documentation and finds out that they don't have any record of my previous leased car ever being grounded. They don't have any record that I signed any documents returning the lease car. It seems that car magically appeared in their lot and then few months later Nissan took possession of it. Status: Aris told me that since they don't have any record of the deal and all documentation on my previous car lease is missing, they cannot help me. He also added if this was bill for few hundred then he would have taken care of it, but it is too big. Dealership personalities I got to know: General Manager Dean: is laying SOB that will do/say anything to shoo off complaints, but will not sign anything or even email you his opinion. Very shady individual, don't believe a word he says unless he can put it in writing and signs Finance manager Albert: Squirrely looking individual, that has trouble looking into your eye, sweaty palms and very short memory. Generally looks like as if he is hiding something. Don't know how you can trust any money transaction to this individual Salesmen Tanvir: Haplessly confused individual. He genuinely believes that he is doing a good service to community. He also believes that he can solve any problem by talking. Do not take his words on the face value and always double check with someone else on what he says. General Manager Ares: Genuinely honest individual with power to solve problems below few hundred dollars. Anything more and he would shut down, seizing all enquires. Very loyal to dealership Summary: Dealership is involved in predatory business practice and they think they cannot be touched by anyone. Here is how their immoral/illegal sales tactic works: 1. Approach someone who has current lease with few months remaining 2. Offer them new car and purchase of their old vehicle 3. Sell them a new car making bonuses and commissions for everyone 4. Take their old car and abandon in parking lot, not filling any paperwork on it 5.5. When the customer shoes up with a large bill, tell them that they don't have anything in writing and you lost all documentation

Will travel the 40 minutes for these guys

By Christina33 on 10/13/2016 at 2:54 PM. Helped by Arben.

I purchased my 2016 Nissan Altima and have nothing but the kindest words to share about my experience at Glendale Nissan. As we all know purchasing a car is stressful and exhausting however this wasn't the case for me. Arben, my salesman, and his team of managers appraised my vehicle at a fair value and went above and beyond to make the deal happen. Everything was smooth sailing from being greeted at the door to meeting with the finance manager. Arben was patient and kind throughout the whole process and even kept me company while waiting to see the finance manager. Although I live 40 minutes away from Glendale Nissan, it's worth the trip to see these guys when I'll be ready for my new lease. Thank you Arben, Mario and Bob in finance.

Glendale Nissan, not as good as they first appear

By 10ddutton on 5/17/2016 at 7:28 AM. Helped by Pete Binner.

I recently purchased a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Glendale Nissan on April 9, 2016 and the overall experience was not positive. After I had test driven the vehicle, I asked that the brakes be re-inspected because they seemed soft. This was arranged and, two hours later, it was reported that the softness was the result of fading brake pads. Shortly after returning home, I got underneath the car to identify my axles and transfer case and I noticed something very wrong. It was obvious that fluid had been leaking out of the driver side, rear wheel hub for some time. I also noticed that the driver side front half shaft had a torn CV boot and was leaking all of its grease everywhere. I drove the Jeep several hundred miles directly after I left Glendale Nissan to return home. I would hate to think what would have happened if the CV joint completely failed while driving on the highway; at the minimum, I would have been stranded. To add insult to injury, they advertised that the Jeep had passed their "rigorous 167-point inspection" before I even came to look at it. After I purchased it, they gave me an inspection form with a hand-written statement stating, "All safety items passed" with a smiley face drawn underneath. I dropped the Jeep off at my local Midas and asked them to look the car over. As it stands, I have quotes for $512.04 to replace the seals and bearings in the rear axle and $255.76 to replace the left front half shaft; these prices would be even higher if I had my local Jeep dealership do the work. These needed to be replaced in order to make the vehicle safe and make it mechanically sound. I contacted Glendale Nissan about these issues with the car to give them a chance to make things right. After attempting to contact three separate people over the course of four days via their official website and via email, it finally took me calling the dealership and being bounced around between four different people before I finally was able to speak to a used car sales manager, Mr. Pete Binner. After a lengthy conversation, I was told few things. First, the Jeep didn't actually go through the advertised 167-point inspection, just a 95-point "safety inspection." Glendale Nissan's advertising is handled by a third party and Glendale Nissan isn't responsible for any incorrect information in their car ads. The lesson to take away is that you should never believe any of Glendale Nissan's car ads because they refuse to take responsibility for any misrepresentations of any vehicle; you will have to do a thorough inspection yourself, so bring a tarp and a floor jack to the dealership so you can look under the car you are interested in purchasing. Secondly, Mr. Binner made it very clear that even though I had pictures of the issues and had an inspection performed by a third party, Glendale Nissan was not obligated to assist me in any way regarding the repairs. Mr. Binner did eventually agree to send a check for $150 in an act of goodwill, something that is appreciated, but ultimately it's just a small portion of a $767.80 bill on a Jeep that has relatively low mileage for the model year and on a car that I purchased with the understanding that it was fully inspected and mechanically sorted. In closing, if you are looking to buy a NEW car, Glendale Nissan is probably a decent choice. They have a large lot with many options available and, if you are lucky enough to get a salesman like Arben, you will have a very positive car buying experience. Besides, most new cars don't have any issues and, if they do, it is almost always covered under warranty; Glendale Nissan will get compensated for the warranty work so you won't have to worry about them cutting corners to save the dealership some money in this area or misrepresenting any of their new cars. However, if you are wanting to purchase a used car here or are thinking of getting an out-of-warranty Nissan serviced here, you may want to think twice.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Service department

By Bpajurek on 4/23/2016 at 7:41 PM. Helped by Unknown.

Do not go here to get service on your Nissan. Came in a few months ago for an oil change on my 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro-4x and had to come back because the tech forgot to screw the oil filter access plate back in and it was hanging and missing a bolt. That was the first problem and I shouldn't have went back but I decided to give them another shot last Monday. Went in for another oil change and everything went smoothly, or so I thought. Was getting ready to wash my car today and noticed the whole top of my liftgate scratched up and dented and rear window washer fluid sprayer is loose and scratched. Looks as if a garage door fell on it or was closed on it. I don't park in a garage nor was I anywhere near one or anything that could've done that damage in the last few days. Went in today (Saturday) and there are no managers so I spoke with a service guy. Showed him the damage and he claims there's no way that it could've happened there. That's a lie because their bays have garage doors that could've and did hit it. Now I have to waste more of my time to come in when a manager is available. All in all, bad service and would not recommend to anyone.

False Advertising/bad salespeople

By Honda Man on 1/16/2016 at 6:25 PM. Helped by Donnie.

They advertise vehicles on Cars.com for prices they can't actually sell at. When I inquired into a vehicle, the lady that called said they're great deals to come on in. So I show up, and after the test drive, the price the salesman (Donnie) came to was the MSRP at $28,000+. I told him the price on Cars.com is $22,517 which was confirmed by the lady (Marketa) before we arrived. He was confused as ever, had no idea what I was talking about. I told him to look it up on his computer. He researched it, and sure enough I was right. He couldn't have been more confused as ever. After staring at the screen for about 3 minutes, he went to talk to his boss, came back and said I don't qualify for all the incentives since I'm not a recent college grad within 2 months, active military, Nissan VIP, and I'm not trading in a Nissan so I don't qualify for that price. Cars.com which is there own advertisement doesn't say that. It's exclusive online pricing. Donnie couldn't be a worse salesman. Seemed completely disinterested, (this is before we even brought up pricing), barely a handshake, very few words even came out of his mouth. If I didn't do any talking we would have sat there, and never said a word to each other. I'm in sales, and usually you have to be a little outgoing, at least show an interest in your customer. There are good dealerships, and there are bad dealerships. I usually have a good experience when buying a new car, but this salesman, and the dealership is what everyone hates about having to go to them to the T.

I would not recommend this dealer.
