false advertising

By brian on 5/11/2017 at 11:01 PM.

I went to test drive a specific jeep wrangler unlimited based on the price they advertised on their own website and on cargurus.com. I got there, test drove it, liked it, got to pricing and they said it was 4k over the price advertised. i said well why does the ad on cargurus and on your website say $25,880 and you are quoting 29,900? My sales guy showed both sites to the general sales manager, Frank Sorrento, and Frank said I had to qualify for commercial pricing(get my business name painted on the car,) had to be a member of USAA, and one other discount that he said he wasn't even offered on the jeep unlimited, which makes no sense since he said that was how i would get the 25880 price. He said his job was to get the most traffic thru the door so the most cars get seen and they have to put the most competitive price out there. I said ok, that makes no sense, I want to pay the price advertised, but they wouldn't do it. Frank said "here's my card, it has my cell phone on it, I can't sell this car for anything less than 27,500, and that's the best price you will get anywhere, go ahead and shop around and come back and see me." I would've purchased the car today, I get home and I check their website and the price on the website has been changed to $27,480. So I called Frank on his cell to discuss and he doesn't answer my call. I call the dealership, ask to speak with Frank, "hes busy with a customer" so I leave a message with another sales person there, ask Frank to call me back, but never heard from him. Very misleading way to price vehicles. i'm curious how many other cars they advertise are 2k lower than what they will actually sell the car for. i assume they are expecting to bait and switch you, but its false advertising to say the least.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Engine light went on after pushing button for 4 wheel drive

By jeffrey on 1/25/2017 at 10:39 PM. Helped by not sure if it was above employee as there were several there..

I had to make a appointment for 3 days later. I waited 3 hours in their waiting room and then the service person came over and said the car was ready. He changed the oil without asking me and I refused to pay and so he took off the charge, made up another bill and charged me a labor charge for $130. for repair which I assumed was for a diagnostic charge and a fuse that blew when I used the tire inflator 3 months before. I called Chrysler and complained and they refunded me the money as the dealer refused to take off this charge. The engine light appeared again 4 hours later and I called Chrysler again to bring this car to another dealer which I did and the problem was fixed. Other dealer charged me $432. for a diagnostic charge and 2 hours labor for a new $48.00 Thermostat, outrageous. 6 Days later my seat belt warning bell and directional turning bell stopped working. Never will go back and never buy a American car again.

Excellent service department!

By Rockford on 8/3/2016 at 5:41 AM.

I have been servicing my Plymouth Breeze at Grava since 1999 and my Chrysler Pacifica since 2008. Excellent service department! They do great work and are very friendly. Their waiting area has free wifi, snacks, coffee, a kid playing area, TV, and comfortable chairs. They also have a shuttle service to the Red Line and Orange Line. I tried another dealer when I moved to Quincy but returned to Grava; it was worth the drive to get my cars serviced by their reliable team. All the service staff are great, but Courtney is amazing! Friendly and efficient.

I would recommend this dealer.

year old cherokee breaks down twice

By mimigirl on 7/18/2016 at 5:48 PM.

My cherokee is one year old. Transmission went. They told me it was a switch for the wipers. Listen dirt bag I was born at night but not last night. Truck sat in parking lot down the street for a week. Now it's back again. Same issue. Broke down on the xpressway twice. Joe doesn't care and Mike in sales only wants the money. I have filed a complaint with corporate in MI. Been assigned a case number. My next step I'd to just trade it in and be done with them. Worst service ever.

By jrb003 on 4/5/2016 at 11:21 PM. Helped by Michael Rachlin.

We had a wonderful experience at the Grava Jeep dealership. Michael Rachlin and his colleagues were helpful and efficient. We got a great deal and everyone worked hard to get it all taken care of before the end of the day. I love my new Jeep and am very happy I went to Grava. Thanks again Mike!

Avoid service here at all costs.

By TG781 on 12/15/2015 at 12:24 AM. Helped by Bryan Kezima.

We brought our Jeep in twice for different issues, being a Jeep dealership we figured they knew what they were doing. We were very wrong. 1st time we brought it in for an electrical issue. It was under warranty so we weren't concerned about cost, several weeks later they had replaced the sunroof control module ($1,300) a year later the electrical issue persists when it rains. And the sunroof leaks through the map lights. Not only did they not fix the issue they made it worse. Awesome. 2nd time, we brought it in for a rear end noise on 12/03/14 (clunking) seemed to be the rear differential or driveshaft as that is a common problem on Jeeps. Well this time it took almost 4 weeks to get it back as they kept blaming the warranty for taking long on getting back to them. I was in constant contact with the warranty because of this and they would always tell me they were waiting on the dealership to send pictures or documentation. Finally got the vehicle back and the noise was still there, much quieter but still present. Was told the gears had to settle in. OK. A year later and the rear end sounds like it is going to explode. And course perfect timing since the dealerships 1 year 12,000 mile guarantee is up. Not to mention the bill on this one was for $1,700. So do yourself a favor and take your car to a reputable dealership. I will also NEVER buy another Jeep vehicle. Lesson learned the really hard expensive way.

Great Customer Service

By MarkR33 on 12/11/2015 at 12:10 AM. Helped by Courtney, Tyler,Michael Rachlin.

Recently bought my first car for my HS student from Grava. A 2009 Jeep Patriot with 80k miles. In having routine oil change, Service Department noticed rust issue with subframe. Although not covered by my Extended Warranty, Joe made sure the repairs were made at no additional cost. Thanks to Joe, Courtney, Tyler and Mike Racklin (sales) for making sure we had a positive experience. Nice effort. Thanks...Mark

Outstanding Service Department

By Gerry C on 10/28/2015 at 12:56 PM.

I have been using Grava only for the exclusive service of my Dodge products. Joe and Courtney are always courteous and helpful. The service technicians are knowledgeable and complete work right the first time. I have never taken a vehicle back due to the service not being completed properly. I highly recommend this service department. Thank you Courtney.

Never buy a car or get service here

By SirDuderino on 10/20/2015 at 11:46 PM.

Worst car service I've ever had all around. There was not one aspect of this experience that was good. I typically don't write reviews, but I feel passionately to write this review to help other customers learn from my hard-learned lesson. First off - wish I visited Yelp first, as Grava has nothing but negative reviews. With reviews this bad, I should have avoided them from the get go..... This was my first mistake. Here are the bad things I experienced from start to finish. 1) Calling to make an appointment. Well it took me 3 calls before I was actually able to talk to someone in person. This is over a two day period. I also left two voicemails that were never returned to their service managers. This probably should have prepared me for the rest of my experience, but I really wanted to get the recall fixed on this sub-par Jeep I now own. 2) Once I finally talked to someone, the first available appointment was 2 weeks away. I was a little frustrated with the delay, but went ahead and scheduled the appointment anyways to drop off my car a 7 AM and pick up at end of day. 3) Drop off Day: So I showed up to drop my car off, the lot was packed and looked like no was there. I eventually walked up to the lot and found 5 Grava employees socializing, but not paying attention to or acknowledging customers. I then checked in and left my car, once again I was assured that my car would be ready by the end of the day, as I was only getting an oil change and recall fix. (you don't even need an appointment for an oil change and you get it back "same day") 4) I never received a call or update, but since I was assured multiple times that my car would be completed by the end of the day I took a $25 Uber to pick up my car from work. At this point, do I even need to say that my car was just getting pulled in to get looked at? It's almost laughable that after 12 hours, they were just starting to look at my car. 5) After I gave the poor attendant a piece of my mind, I realize it probably wasn't his fault. I asked for a manager. I was told the manager went home a few hours ago and wasn't available. I asked if there was anyone else available that could assist me further and he told me no. I then asked for my keys back. When the attendant returned, I asked him to add a note to my file / invoice to have a manager call me. Of course, it's been ~ 2 weeks now and I still have yet to receive a call. Long story short. This place is terrible, please never go here and definitely DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. Take your business to someone who will appreciate you. One last thought. I received my invoice today, which reminded me to write this review. At the top it states "5 Stars" and there's a note from the Service Manager stating to please let us know if there's anything we can do to correct the issue. Well I'm sorry Joe, your management has driven this service center into the ground. And maybe it's not your fault, maybe it's your superiors, but there are a few things you can do better. The first would be firing you and hiring new management that understands the Value of a good customer base, especially in the car business. It's unfortunate that I will never return to this dealership that is so conveniently located (less than 1 mile away from my house). I would rather drive anywhere then ever give you my business again. Good luck driving your company into the ground!

Great Experience

By bburke25 on 9/21/2015 at 11:08 AM.

I had been in the market for Jeep Wrangler for several months and finally found exactly what I was looking for at Grava Jeep in Medford. My sales rep, Alec Firicano, made the process extremely easy. If you're looking for a non-pressure salesperson then Al is your man. He is extremely knowledgable and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the market for a new Jeep.

Great Purchase and Service

By Trutru on 8/10/2015 at 10:00 PM. Helped by Peter Jr.

This was my fifth purchase from Grava, My Iatest purchase was my Grand Cherokee here last December. Had the best sales person Peter Jr., he walked me through everything I needed to know about my new purchase. Since then I have made two appointments with service for scheduled maintenance, the service writer told me it would be approximately 1 hour each time, they offered me a ride if I could not wait. I decided to wait and both times my vehicle was ready within that hour. In my opinion the service is fantastic.

Terrible, slow service.

By djb6 on 6/30/2015 at 7:55 PM. Helped by Various Service Personnel.

Service department does not operate well at all. My express oil changes take over an hour, and the last time I got one they didn't put the oil cap back on properly, so I was leaking oil. I pre-purchased oil changes when I bought the car, this is the only reason I still go there. I've had to make appointments on two occasions for things besides an oil change, both times my car ended up there for two days for services that took less than two hours. One time they didn't even fix/change anything. Told me there was no issue, for me to bring it back a second time for them to fix it. There is no point to making an appointment here, it apparently doesn't get your car looked at any sooner. The service person I talked to on the phone lied directly to me and realized it when he was talking and tried to get out of it. They give you a big smile when you walk in, only to mask the fact that the service is subpar and they will take complete advantage of you. The stereotype of service departments being shady and trying to screw you fits here. My experience buying the car at grava was acceptable, but the service has not lived up to what they claim to offer. I would go elsewhere.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Avoid Grava for any kind of business. Seriously.

By Jeep GC Owner on 6/15/2015 at 2:48 PM.

PLEASE avoid buying, servicing your car, or doing any kind of business with this dealership. These people are unprofessional, disrespectful, and they operate in a very sketchy way. You will be much better off by driving a few miles to Brigham Gill or any other well-stablished dealership. You will end up hating your Jeep if you come to this place. They try to lure customers by saying they have the best prices, however, you can always get the same deal somewhere else and hopefully be treated with respect and professionalism. The people at service department treat cars with absolutely no care…it is too bad I didn’t consult the reviews on this place before buying my new Grand Cherokee, which I had to sell (almost new) after several defects that couldn’t be resolved by the dealership. Make a wise decision and visit some other dealership either for buying or servicing your car. Don’t make the same mistake that I did…I ended up wasting plenty of time and money.

I would not recommend this dealer.
