This was the best experience ive had in a dealership! As soon as you walk in, everyone welcomes you and make sure they help you with any questions you have. I walked out with a new car in less than 1 hr thanks to James. I am extremely satisfied with my car and would recommend this dealership to everyone!

40,000 Passat SEL V6 Service

Made the appointment the day before. As I pulled up Drew was already approaching my car in the service lane. I shared some coupons agreed on the services and proceeded to the waiting lounge. There was great Internet and made to order coffee. I was good to perform my work duties in the supportive environment. Within 1.5 hours Drew advises that all work completed. The technician will test drive my car and then off for a wash.

Overall outstanding experience

Still driving the car we purchased from Gunther in 2015 and still loving the car, we really didn’t intend to purchase anything that day. We just came to see the 2019 Passat SE. Your inventory was out, but Chris Antle who we were just enjoying talking with, was able to show us a resale Passat SE 2018 with a 2 liter engine and with all the new technology.....a beautiful trade in with 4,000 miles. We drove it home! Can’t say enough about our salesman, knowledgeable, professional and a personality supreme. Delightful to work with! I have always enjoyed going to Gunther for service on my 2015 Passat. Your service dept. should be highly commended! I’m happily stuck on VW forever, after driving 2 Mercedes and 3 Jaguars.

Not truthful, poor customer service, would not recommend

This story starts on the last day of June when I stopped into Gunther Volkswagen to look at cars. At that time, I had a lease with Nissan that was coming due in October and I was checking out what options I would have when it came time to lease another vehicle. I wasn't anticipating leaving with a car that day but did have a particular one in mind and decided I would at least test drive it. Following the test drive, I was brought to the back office to talk numbers and was told they could get me out of my lease that day and I could walk out with a new car. The saleswoman I worked with was seemingly new and had to have the assistance of another salesman to complete the sale and paperwork. I was asked what were absolutely NEEDED features in my new vehicle. I explained that I was pretty flexible and didn't need things like a sunroof, leather interior, etc. but one thing I absolutely wanted in my new car was tinted windows. I was told that was no problem at all and that down here in FL, that was pretty standard. Cool.. we discussed interior and exterior colors and they confirmed everything. We came to an agreement on a monthly payment, including a down payment and VW agreeing to repair some damage I had to my bumper. I was also told that they would be taking over my lease with Nissan and would cover any remaining payments and fees. Awesome, I felt confident that everything was covered, I was getting a good deal and was receiving the best service. Boy, was I wrong. I was told everything is good to go, they were going to start getting the car ready. Well that is until they came back and told me they were unable to locate my car in the lot and asked if I would be willing to take the one that I test drove - mind you, it was not the color I told them I wanted. I declined and eventually, they "found" my car and it was sent off to detailing. I was then brought over to the finance department to complete all of the paperwork. I did so and then was told to wait as the car was being detailed still. The time continued to pass and I was continuously told "only 20 more minutes" numerous times. The lights in the dealership were being turned off, most salespeople and staff were leaving, and I was still waiting for my car. I was told that it still had the tape on it when they found it in the lot, and it was taking extra time to detail. As impatient as I was for being there so long, I did not cause a fuss and just waited for my car to be brought to me. Well sure enough, the car was brought out to and surprise... it did not have tinted windows, the ONE thing I requested in my new vehicle. I was told to call the dealership to set up a time for me to bring in my vehicle for the window tinting, which I was annoyed with but agreed to do because I just wanted to get out of there after being there for about 5 hours. The following week, I call to make my appointment and when doing so, was told I would have to pay. I was advised the window tinting fee is usually $200 but they would only charge me $135.. wow, what a deal. Being told I had to pay an additional fee for something that I specifically said was a necessity in my new vehicle and was agreed upon before I signed any paperwork, was beyond frustrating. Eventually after all the back and forth, they agreed to cover the cost since it was in fact something that we discussed and agreed upon. The time came for me to bring my car in and I had an appointment for 2:30 but received a text the day before asking me to come in at 2:15. I show up a little before 2:10 ready to drop my keys off for the service - I had to return to work so I did not have time to sit around and was told I only needed to drop the car off. The receptionist calls the guy responsible for handling the window tinting and he advises that he is running late but will come up soon to get my keys. The time is passing and I'm getting anxious, as I expected to be in and out and returning to work quickly. I asked the receptionist if she could call him again because I really needed to get back to work. She instructed me to go to in the back and ask around to see if anyone knows where this guy is. A female employee I asked scoffs at me and asks who sent me back there and tells me that I need to go back to the receptionist because it's her job and not theirs. I go back to the receptionist and explain what I was told and she makes some comment about how "everybody wants to be responsible for nothing around here." Foreshadowing? Anyway, I tell the receptionist that I really need to get back to work and ask if she can please just call him again. She responds with saying she really doesn't want to call him again because she just did and "he will be up soon". Annoyed, I am standing there waiting for this guy to show. Eventually, I see a familiar face of the salesman who helped my saleswoman complete the lease of my new vehicle, and he offers to take my keys and says they'll call me when it's done. I do not get a call and it’s starting to get late so I call to see if my car is ready, it is. I picked up the car and was satisfied with how the tinting came out. Well fast forward two months, I get a bill in the mail from Nissan telling me that I owe $400+ for an end of lease fee. Confused about this since I believed that VW was to cover any remaining payments and fees, I got in contact with the woman who sold me the car and found out she was no longer at Gunther but was willing to help me out. She advised that this fee should have been waived and told me that she was still friendly with the staff at Gunther and that I could contact another employee to get it sorted out - she would be reaching out to him as well to let him know I would be in contact. I tried calling this employee for over one week straight, only to be told that he was with a customer each time and to leave a message and he would call me back. As you can guess, I never received a call back from him. Prior to going into the dealership to get to the bottom of everything, I figured I would try calling one more time and asked to speak to a manager. Well the manager was nothing but rude from the time he opened his mouth. He told me that even though the saleswoman who sold me the car said that all remaining payments and fees would be waived, I signed a document stating otherwise. He said he would forward me the document to see for myself. I did not have my documentation in front of me as I was at work, but did not argue with the fact that this document was signed and being a naive leasee, I believed that everything that was being explained to me was described the same way in the paperwork I was signing, which it clearly was not. I explained that the saleswoman I spoke with told me that it should have in fact been waived based on the agreement we discussed when I signed the lease. His only response... "I'm not responsible for what other people say..." How reassuring... you can't even stand behind what your salespeople are telling YOUR customers. He did at one point stop and say "sorry if I'm being rude..." as if for one sliver of a second he came to the realization that he was coming off as arrogant and offensive. However, that was short lived as he continued to speak to me in a condescending tone. I told him that I was unhappy with the discrepancy in what I was told when signing the lease (seems to be a trend right.. refer back to the window tinting debacle) as well as what I have been told afterwards as well, and that I would expect the sales team to be better trained and be more informed on exactly what the lease agreement entails, and he did not have much to say. I told him I would not be returning to his dealership again and would be letting other people know about my experience, and his response was "go ahead, I’m the one that responds to the reviews anyway." Well here you go, sir. There is no need for a response since, based on how you spoke to me on the phone, I doubt you're capable of offering any kind of compassionate reply. As someone who works in customer service, I am appalled at the way I was spoken to and treated as a PAYING CUSTOMER and would likely not have a job tomorrow if I spoke to my customers in the same manner. It's clear how deeply you care about your customers and their satisfaction... well I suppose that is only until their money is in your pocket and they walk out the door, right? Anyone considering buying or leasing a vehicle from Gunther Volkswagen, DON'T. Save yourself the hassle and find a dealership that actually cares about their customers (you know, the dealerships that have excellent customer service that extends beyond just when you're a new customer)!

Not extremely happy with the Tiguan...really does not compare to the Ford Edge that I had in a lot of ways. Edge drove better had more room and more storage compartments.it also had a garage door opener. ?????
