The little things count

I made an appointment for a recall and just before I showed up one of my tires was punctured by a bolt. You were able to find another tire and installed it on short notice. The free car wash may seem like a little thing but it’s not to the customer. Thank you. The only thing I’d like to see improved is the shuttle service. Having to drive all over town to drop people off took over an hour and I wasn’t the last one off the van.

KIA recall

I brought my KIA in, because there was a recall on it. I brought it in on a Thursday At 8am. I received a call from Kia saying my car would be ready at 5:30. When I went to pick it up nothing was worked on or replaced on my car. I was told they needed to order parts. I called Friday morning because the recall called for no car seats to be hooked up in the backseat. I have two children 18 months and 5 years old which require them to be in a car seat. I explained this to the receptionist I spoke to and she asked if I could come back in that morning because they have received the parts. I told her I was unable because I was at work. It was Labor Day weekend and they were closed Monday. She asked if I could com in Tuesday morning and I said yes. I arrived Tuesday morning and the lady who checked me in said my parts were not in. I explained to her that I have already spoke to someone on Friday and they said they were. She made a phone call and turns out the parts were in. I don’t understand why they have your car from 8-530 just to tell you they need to order parts. They knew there was a recall and they knew I was coming in weeks in advance.

Oil change

Everything was nice and clean and they were all very nice l always have my car 🚗 done at Kia Bakersfield I got my car new 8/11/12 I just don’t like how the paint around my tail lights has lots the clear they really need to take care of it because I have a very clean car inside and out but I don’t like how people put my car down because of the poor paint they put on around the tail lights that really upset me because that makes me feel sad 😞

Okay service

I dropped of my Kia Soul for service recall, Vanessa my advisor was nice and communicated with me by via text and recommended services. Very convenient because she responded in timely manner. How ever my car was left outside with Passenger window rolled down. If they knew it wouldn’t go up they should have put my car inside the shop or try to put it up somehow. I didn’t have valuable stuff inside but someone got in there and searched my car. Center counsel was full with pens and a Toyota bag was also taken with other small stuff. Not to mention It’s really nothing at all but just the action for someone who obviously needed allot of pens and search my car was very unprofessional.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Kia service was very efficient and the people in the office were very nice. I did notice when I picked up the car that there were dirt smudges on the interior on the driver's side visor and surrounding areas. It would have been nice to have them wash the car after servicing as well.

Fast, Friendly and Reasonable Cost

I like the service I get from Haddad Kia. I’ve always had good service and everyone is very nice. I had a coupon I received from them so I only paid $48.88 total, for oil change, tire rotation, 5 point inspection, and car wash.

First, be prepared to have to haggle over ridiculously inflated dealer mark up. I saw two trim levels of the same vehicle with a mark up of $2,500 (already high for a lower end manufacturer) and $5,000! That's not a typo... $5,000 mark up on a midsize SUV. Add that to the list of dealer installed "options" and the inflated freight (I worked in the industry and can tell you that it does not cost $1,400 per vehicle to get them from the plant in GA) and you're looking at well over $40,000 for a vehicle with an MSRP of a little over $33,000 with built in profit over invoice price. One thing I give this dealership credit for is saving an educated customer time. The desk managers let new sales kids have free reign over the show room floor. The two week employee (I don't remember his name because I threw away his card before I left the building) seemed confused that I wouldn't pay for things like paint protection (never get this option. Or tire and wheel protection. Theres almost no chance that you'll ever get a new wheel if it's damaged while you're driving.) Or that I wasnt going to pay freight after waiting and hoping that my color option came in instead of them ordering it or doing a dealer swap. The final straw was when the new kid in the showroom seemed a little upset saying "so you wanna pay LESS than MSRP?!" I corrected him and said "No, I'll pay MSRP." (I honestly think that he didn't understand that unwanted installed options aren't part of MSRP.) To which his response was "you're not getting one for less than that" while he nodded towards the model that I had just test driven. I went in there outright telling the sales kid that I was test driving and comparing the Telluride to the Hyundai Palisade and would be making a decision based on value alone (even though the performance of the Telluride is a bit muted when comparing and I'm not as big a fan of the front fascia) and would likely be putting a 3rd of the cost down as soon as I decided which one I liked for the price, and he helped save me time by not even giving the desk manager a chance to say a word. Save yourself the time and go to probably any other Kia dealer in the area. And if you're debating between a competitor in the area, just go with the competitor. Haddad doesn't like a customer who knows what they're talking about.

Horrible Service Department

When I purchased my new Kia in 2017 I never thought I’d have lengthy repairs. It is almost impossible to get a hold of someone over the phone. I was on hold for almost 30 mins each time I needed to inquire about my appointment or status on my vehicle. I’m highly disappointed in the lack of quality and communication from the service department. I was left without a vehicle for two days with a newborn baby. They knew the vehicle had 5 recalls and refused to give me a loaner vehicle. When I purchased the car, I was told I had a good warranty that would cover a loaner in an event such as this. They returned my car on the second day and told me they’d call me back when more parts came in to fix the recall. You don’t buy a new vehicle thinking it’ll spend most it’s time in a shop. You also don’t leave a mother on foot with her newborn child.

I would not recommend this dealer.
