Today, I purchased a Pre-owned 2014 dark grey Honda Pilot EX-L fully loaded. I went in with a certain amount of money paying cash for the SUV and a fixed price. We went back and forth and Salesman Mr. Hossein Ghaffari was excellent. He listen, heard and executed a deal I was going to live with. He was extremely well mannered and very professional. Whole experience was very pleasant. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a car. He has great people skills and there was no pressure the whole experience was the most pleasant I have ever had buying a car.

Hossein, I just wanted to write you a quick note to thank you for your honesty and dedication while selling me my new car last week. I've always been wary of car salesman, often with good reason, but you've helped to redefine the stereotype. Thank you so much for answering all of my questions honestly, and making that six-hour process not as painful as it otherwise could have been. I'm happy with the car I purchased, and I'm not freaking out about the purchase price. That's a pretty ideal situation when it comes to buying a new car, and it's all thanks to you. You can be sure that if I have any friends looking to buy new cars in the future, I'll be sending them to Kolbe Honda, and telling them to ask for Hossein Ghaffari.

1st Time Customers / Honda Recall Customers :: BEWARE of Lee Moss (old guy) and manager Richard Sugarman-- They WILL rip you off! August 14 the Friday, I took my minivan to Kolbe service center. This old guy LEE started doing my paperwork and he showed me the usual PACKAGE X, Y, Z gets your oil change, this change, that change, this flushed, that fixed, timing belt, whatever belt, blah blah blah. He asked me if I wanted ANY of them done. I said NO, I ONLY want the FREE recall stuff and I'll let you know LATER if I want anything else. He said okay. I again asked him to confirm if the services were FREE and he said YES. I was offered a Pilot courtesy vehicle and Jessica helped me out. After few minutes, LEE gave me THREE (3) papers to SIGN. I laughed and asked, what do all these say? I DID NOT READ -- Because I saw the LOGO on their webpage that says they've in the valley since 1959 and thus they should be legit and wouldn't dare ripping people off or TRAPPING them in any way. WAS I WRONG! Lee told me those are the 'services' they will perform on my minivan. I AM NO xxxx CAR MECHANIC -- to me that means; aka 'services' = HONDA'S FREE RECALL PARTS replacement. I signed.. DID NOT SEE... ANY $ (dollar sign) anywhere in the documents, nor was I pointed out to any. $900+ of SCAM -- you would think they'd mention it??? LEE did NOT tell me ANYTHING about costing me ANY money. He did NOT mention ANYTHING about EVEN ANY ESTIMATED COST I'll be paying out of pocket WHEN I SIGNED the 3 documents .. NOT READING THEM...because he is a OLD DUDE, wearing a Hawaiian shirt..relaxed -- I THOUGHT he was old and calm and MUST be STRAIGHT FORWARD. I did NOT expect such an old guy to be SOOOO DECEIVING. ***Please read on -- so you don't end up in the same TRAP as I did. *** Saturday the 8/15/2015 -- I called at 10:52 AM. LEE told me it'd be ready by end of the day, OR maybe even an extra day; he told me Friday they were busy. I said okay. Even NOW He did NOT say, 'Oh Hey.. we are doing the timing belt change and stuff on our minivan'. NOTHING. ZIP. - Missed call :: 12:11 PM by Lee -- Voice Message. Mohammad, please call me back. - Called Lee :: 12:32 PM -- He offered me 3 services..3 packages .. one of them for $100+, another for $200+ and another for $300+ I believe and total would be $650-ish dollar. I said... EXPLICITLY .. like this.. "I AM ON A TIGHT BUDGET AND I WOULD LIKE TO SKIP ALL OF THESE SERVICES". He said.. EXPLICITLY.. Like this...(sounding dissatisfied) "OKAY, WE WILL LEAVE YOUR MINIVAN AND WON'T DO ANY OF THE ADDITIONAL SERVICES." IS THIS NOT ENOUGH PLAIN ENGLISH? - Missed call :: 3:11 PM By Lee - Incoming call received:: 3:12 PM By LEE -- Mohammad your minivan/vehicle is ready to be picked up. We close at 5 PM, can you make it by then. I said yes. - Incoming call received:: 4:13 PM By LEE -- Mohammad, can you make it today? I said, yes, I'm stuck with something and should be in your place by 4:50 PM. He sounded SHOCKED. 4:50?? (He didn't yell, but certainly his tone changed and sounded unhappy, as if I have said something awful). I did go there around 4:50 (maybe 4:49 or 4:51 PM). As I was unloading, he said, can you please go to the 'cashier' first and then do the rest of the unloading. I STILL HAVE NO CLUE -- I thought, all 'sign off' process probably required customers to go to the 'cashier'. I handed over my Driver's license to the cashier to sign the release. She said :: "What credit card will you be using?.. we can't swipe your Driver's License." Look at the subtle RUDENESS at this state. I was like what?? Why do you need my CC. She said you are charged $932.xx. I said for what? She said for the 'services'. Again .. xxxx 'SERVICES'. She went to call Lee and he came out raising his voice.. "BALONEY"! I told him what I wrote above. I was dumbfounded. My 2 year old was playing around in the office area. Our voices started raising. My daughter started getting scared; she started pulling me by my hands and I then picked her up. I am NOT trying to dramatize the situation here by mentioning my daughter. My car, my wealth -- all of this is MUCH inferior to me than a single 'glimpse' of my daughter. She is MUCH more valuable to me than everything I own and certainly more important than the FRAUDS at Kolbe Honda. Because of these unprofessional crooks, my daughter got scared. MONEY.. I CAN GET BACK EASY. MY DAUGHTER'S FEAR -- I CANNOT UNDO THAT. LEE MOSS Still trying to raise his voice more louder than mine; I told him to get his manager and RICHARD SUGARMAN came and IMMIDIATELY blaming me that 'you signed for this'. I said, PLEASE Play back your TELEPHONE RECORDINGS. You will hear. Please play back your VIDEO RECORDINGS from YESTERDAY and you will see if he mentioned ANYTHING about the cost to me when I was signed. He said WE CAN'T DO THAT. I said I won't pay. RICHARD said then we can't release your vehicle. I said I will pay and call my credit card right after. We LEFT.

Courteous and prompt service.

I found Kolbe through an Edmunds car quote. My inquiries were replied to promptly and Hossein was very helpful and courteous through numerous calls. In full disclosure, I ultimately did not buy at Kolbe because I would not have been able get a ride there (I live 2 hrs away) in the time frame (mine) required. If I were able to make it, I would have bought, the price was sure right. It made the dealer I did go with locally really think.

I like the atmosphere over there people are so kind and friendly and they r not pushy at all also the car price are lower compare to other Honda dealers in valley like keys and miller. they are so fast and friendly. whole process was so fast it took about and hour to do every thing and i enjoy the rest of m day with my new car. I really appreciate the management team because of the options they gave me for my car.

Got a great deal on my Accord. Gave me a quote and when I got there honored it with no problems or tricks. I hate the process of buying cars and dealing with salesmen but this time it actually went very smooth. Thank you Kolbe Honda.

We saw this car from the auto trader site and liked it very much. We emailed kolbe Honda and Hossein responded the next day because we sent an email at 1100 pm. Hossein was very helpful and we were able to make a deal through email and everything was set. Negotiation was all done online. Picked up a check from my bank and we picked up the car that same day. We got our Honda odessey 2010. We had one problem 1 week later because I was busy and had to work. I finally had time to try out the bells and whistles on the car. Three thing that was on the description that attracted me to the car was the color, blue tooth, and DVD player. I got my handy book and and started to try and figure out the blue tooth system and realized that there were no Bluetooth in the car. My husband notified Hossein and he responded right away. We started to negotiate this matter because there ad said blue tooth. At first they wanted to give us 100.00 and call it that, but I really wanted my Bluetooth so I started to do my homework. To make the story short I did not received my Honda hands free kit and installation by Honda instead we received enough money to pay and have my after market Bluetooth installed by an outside company. We did agree to this to compromise with kolbe dealer although they did agree to install a 250.00 system to the car, which we were not sure if it was just a cheap Bluetooth or what so we opt for cash and pay an outside company for the top of the line system for our car which we will have for years.. I am happy with the service and the car, but make sure that you check for what they said the car has first before you drive off. I still gave them 4.5 total because I was ok with the end result. At the end they only took off a total of 700.00 from there asking price.

It has been some time since I purchased a vehicle from this dealership but I am a newcomer to DealerRater and I think this dealership is deserving of a good review. I was shopping for a new Civic and I was getting the usual responses after putting out some requests on the internet. Most dealers wanted me to come in so they could haggle. Others wanted to know what I had already been quoted before giving me a price. I received a straightforward email from Kolbe with an extremely competitive price. I called to see if they had a car on the lot (dealers will often tell you they have the car even if they don't and then try to sell you something else). I drove over and left with the car in record time. No funny business, exactly the car I had requested at exactly the price quoted.

They are way overpriced. I have taken my car there a few times and was way overcharged. this last time, i called Miller Honda and got a quote on the B1 svc for my car, they quoted me $78 dollars, then i called Kolbe and got a quote of $199. unbelievable. All i can say is, the customer service is very nice and polite, as they screw you in the deal. Never again will i go to Kolbe.

I definitely recommend this dealership and if you go to this dealership ask for Tom. An older white gentlemen, he was extremely nice and patience. he was never pushy and always helpful. if you are looking to buy a Honda I would recommend asking for Tom.

This dealership is by far the most honest one I have ever been too. I shopped many different dealership to get the best price. Some of them would not let me leave and they kept pushing me to buy the car and they would not take no for an answer. When I went to Kolbe Honda, the salesman was very nice and not pushy at all. They gave me a price lower than everyone else and they did not try to stick me with any other extras. They are great people and the management is great. I highly recommend this dealership. Thanks for the great price and service.

Although I live in Santa Barbara I was referred by a friend to at least get a price from Kolbe Honda before I purchased an Accord V-6 at my local dealer. I emailed Kolbe and eventually got an email back with an amazing price - I am glad I wasn't in a hurry because the internet salespeople must be so busy they don't have time to respond promptly. Since the price was so much lower than I had been quoted locally, I decided to email the other Honda dealers near Kolbe. Kolbe had them all beat - plus they "promised" to beat any offer I had in writing. Since I worry about things that seem to good to be true... I was worried about how my experience would be once I set foot at the dealership. No worries ... no "upsells" ... no pressure ... just the car at the price that was quoted. Really don't know why the price was so much lower than locally, maybe competition, but well worth the 90 minute drive. An update: Just moved to Woodland Hills ... so now I can try Kolbe's service department.

I walked in to Kolbe Honda just to look around, had not really made up my mind yet whether to get the CRV, Element or Fit. Ernesto met us and was very kind in showing us all the different models and their features. Even after I told him that I was just looking around, he still spent a great valuable time with us. Very patient in explaining everything and took us for a test drive. I did not purchase the car then but came back a week later. Ernesto was out of the office and Edward helped us then. I told him that Ernesto had helped us earlier, but he was as kind and courteous to us anyway. He helped us decide on which payment plan would best suite us and gave us a lot of options to think about. And this was even after I had mentioned to him that I am not ready to purchase yet. I have been going back and forth between other dealerships. But after the wonderful experience I had from 2 different sales reps. I purchased my new CRV with Kolbe. They definitely earned my business. This is truly an honest, professional organization. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back for my next car purchase.

Shopping for a CR V was a nightmare. I did the typical homework on the internet. kbb.com, edmunds.com, etc. Then started going to dealers to actually see the CR V and what kind of a price we could get. Everyone of them (I won't mention the dealership names) gave us a run around. Told us the CR V was very popular and that it was selling for over sticker. Their attitudes were very cavalier and disrespectful and a real turn off. At best it sure didn't enhance our desire to purchase a car from them ! By chance, I saw in the AAA magazine that they offered a car buying program as a membership benefit. I called to get information on how it works. they told me what to do to get the AC discount and recommended the nearest Honda dealer that worked with them. That turned out to be Kolbe Honda. We utilized the Auto Clubs discount program and received a fair and good price on the CR V. It's a pre-negotiated amount, and in this case was well below the MSRP. The money we saved on the car purchase will easily pay my membership dues for many years. Kolbe's people were truly friendly, courteous and knew their product line well. Klause was our sales representative and he was honestly excited about 'showing' us the car. He was very familiar with ALL the functions and accessories. You could tell that he really liked the vehicle. We bought the car mid-week, but didn't take possession until the weekend. Klause was not working that weekend, but he arranged for another sales rep (Howard) to work with us, even though it wasn't his sale. Howard was equally as great. He spent all the time we needed showing us the specifics of the CR V. Mike was the sales manager and was a real gentleman. Kolbe is not a high pressure dealership. They didn't jerk us around and I found my experience with them a pleasure. I would absolutely go back to them for my next car purchase.

Totally first-class sales organization. I called first and was told they had the car and color I was looking for. When I got to the dealership they actually had told me the truth. It was cleaned and ready for me to test drive. The negotiations couldn't have been smoother and easier. All in all as good of a car buying experience as I have ever had.

Salesman refused to show us the total price for the car, rate of loan, and was argumentive about my trade-in. He asked continuously for the deal, yet refused to give me concrete numbers. On the second time he visited his manager Steve, he became embroiled in a loud heated argument with Steve. It ended in what sounded like Omer quit and finally Steve came out to briefly to tell us that this wasn't a Saturn dealership.

I would not recommend this dealer.
