Lies, Uncertified Cars, and Recalls.

Fraud, lies, scammers. Buyers beware. Bought a 2013 Fusion from these con artists, less than 30 days sync stops working, no audio, warnings nothing. 1cent fake smile salesmen that pawned the defective junker, Bob, looked at it for about 1 minute then claims it'd be at least 150$ just to diagnose, when I asked if there's any known issues or recalls on sync the liar vehemently denied it. Few seconds of google: Ford sync no audio, massive hits and 12M02 recall/ext. Ford issued all dealers to diagnose fix and if need be completely replace the sync at no cost to the customer. Took a week of frustration and arguing with rude ignorant staff (that couldn't smile or be your better friend while trying to hawk defective junk) Ford HQ "update takes 30 minutes, tell them contact us if needed, all costs are covered" 2 days later the fraudulent scammers still never updated sync, went joyriding in the clunker claiming they were testing sync, total lie. Then committed fraud trying to charge me knowing Ford was compensating them. Had enough of Bob, Dana, and the rest of these criminals, turned my tags in, cancelled insurance, they can keep their defective non certified abused junk. Can't take the migraines and stress these pathetic excuse for dealers have caused me. Save yourself shop anywhere but a hertrich. I would not send someone I hated to that hellhole.

Hertrich Ford of Pocomoke (MD) has been an asset to our family when purchasing vehicles. Every time we enter the dealership multiple personnel members greet us and ask how we are doing before speaking about any vehicles. Their ability and willingness to get to know their patrons is second to none. If I never have to go to another dealership for an automobile purchase, it is because of the overly positive experience I receive each time I have purchased from Hertrich Ford. The dealership had the vehicle I was looking for with all the requested options. Jim (the salesman) had all the answers to my questions and was very helpful throughout the process. The price was hard to beat and they worked with me to get me to the price range I was looking for.

the lies they tell

I at first recommended Hertrich to all my friends and family. I bought my car there. however when i had my car break down a week before Christmas and called them they told me I had no warranty, not what i was told when i bought it. But they told me to tow it in they would diagnosis it for free. long story short when they tried to charge me 1300 to fix the car and I tried to get it towed to someone who would fix it for only 450, they then told me they were going to hold my car until i paid 99 dollars to get it released. I told them Mary had told me it would be free. but lance said oh well it is 99 dollars. Great lies there and right before Christmas. Well I had to pay it to get my car fixed by someone who was not over charging. I paid the fee, only because I need a car to get to work. Inconsiderate and full of lies is what I got from them

Top notch service

I was traveling on my way through Virginia back up to Canada with my daughters. The engine light came on. I pulled into the dealership. Lance was very friendly and put me ahead of other customers. They paid for our lunch even! (market street deli). Turns out it was just bad gas that caused the problem. They flushed it out for me and didn't charge me a cent! We were on the road within two hours. Unbelievable service!

Ruined my hope in humanity

While searching for my very first car after four years of credit building and money saving I decided to check out my local dealer. At first my dealer wasn't as prompt or interested in me, although he was busy helping another costumer fix a piece on his car. He Sat me down and asked about financing I told him I was already financed through my local bank. He continued filling out the credit application and asked for my social I said AGAIN that I did NOT want him to run my credit. At this point he lied TO MY FACE telling me that he is just looking up my loan from my bank. Me being impressionable idiot kid that I am said okay gave him my social and signed his papers. Then throughout my time there 5 hours of him doing other things and being completely uninterested in helping me find a car. Literally 5 hours of me waiting and him picking out cars he thought I would be able to afford rather than me picking out what I like and think I can afford. Finally I had enough and told them the next day I would not be buying from them. What really made me upset though was later on in the month I got almost TEN INQUIRES against my credit because this horrible person decided after I had pleaded him not to run my credit to do it anyway and not only that but LIED to me, I get car dealers lie but this was just hurtful. But guess what hertrich? I got my brand new Hyundai sonata limited turbo and I gave them more money and you lost a sale because of this sales rep. Congratulautions sir you ruined my hope in humanity and you lost out on your raise.

Great Car Buying Experience

I was in the market for a new Ram 1500. I contacted several dealerships through their websites to try and get pricing. Many responded with "Call US" or "Stop IN". Most of them were several hours away from my home so stopping in was not an option, and with my job, phone calls were hard to work with. Robert Schmitz @Herthich of Pocomoke, responded via email, to my inquiry, and went out of his way to take care of me, and work around what I wanted. They found the truck I wanted, even though they didn't have it in stock, and got it for me from another dealer. They gave me a great price for my trade. and went out of their way to make me feel like I mattered as a customer. I would recommend to anyone to deal with Hertrich of Pocomoke, for any of their car needs. FANTASTIC CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE

Poor quality brake parts

One year ago I brought my Ford F350 into Herteich of Pocomoke for service. An inspection by technicians revealed that the vehicle was in need of brakes all around. Subsequently a complete brake job was performed. The work cost more than $1200. Approximately 7 months and 7,000 miles later in another state, the brakes on my truck failed. The vehicle was taken to a reputable mechanic who explained to me that the caliper on the left side had failed. A further inspection by this mechanic revealed that the brake parts that were installed on the vehicle were not genuine Ford parts. Further investigation revealed that all the brake parts that Herteich Ford of Pocomoke had installed on my vehicle had been obtained from Advanced Auto Parts in Pocomoke, MD. I subsequently tried in vain get a refund from Hertrich. I also tried to return the parts to Advanced Auto but they would only refund to the purchaser-Hertrich. The bottom line is this. I am stuck with a bunch of junk parts put on my vehicle by a dealership that advertises genuine Ford parts and Ford technicians. If I wanted after market parts I could have gone to a backyard mechanic and possibly received a better result for a cheaper price. BEWARE OF HERTRICH FORD OF POCOMOKE. They use cheap after market parts while advertising genuine Ford parts.

Charged me $111.00 for an estimate. Suggested repairs that were not necessary. Car came back with oil and grease stains on the Interior. Service girl told me my warranty only covered power train which was incorrect.

My car broke down on my way home from nc to pa on route 13. They serviced my brakes the next morning. I was on the road by the afternoon. They also did a recall of my power steering. Tom was very accomodating and friendly to me and my 4 year old daughter. He did everything he could to get us home the next day, Thanks Tom

Worst experience ever, John the sales man is why car dealers sales people have a bad name!!!!! they run your credit way to many times and then they don't tell you they do. I looked at it one day came back two days later and the price of the car was $2000 more. This place is sneaky stay away!!!!

very sneaky place!gave me a very good quote first time there. went back to order car and make deal at that initial price and was given excuses and the runaround! Dana added price on new car by 2000 off start. Then would not tell me interest rates on new quotes she gave me! said she didnt know! I have awesome credit and they tried to get more thousands out of me wit her sneaky price quotes. Not worth the time to stop by there! As long as they keep her there they are going to lose business! i ended up buying the new car with another dealer at the original price she gave me with 0% interest! About 5,000 dollar difference!

Never have been able to work with this dealership, prices are to high, financing is terriable and when you go take the time out of your day to go and buy a vehicle you get suckered into going over there and the vehicle is not what it is that you where told over the phone, check engine lights on, and they did not want to give me the carfax! I demanded the carfax and once I seen it had an accident I left, they tried to sell me a wrecked car!! Done with dealing with this nonsense from this dealer!

I did not like how Mike knew how many mpg the used cars would get but didn't know the price. They seemed crooked to me because they were unable to give me prices on any of the cars. It was suggested that before we get the price, we should test drive first and I refused. What rubbed me the wrong way was that Dana Smith said they do not use Carfax because it was a hoax. I kept thinking of the commerical where the dealers avoided everthing they could to not produce the carfax. Although I purchased a vehicle, I believe they provided the best deal for my trade-in. The car I purchased is still under warranty and I plan to get it looked at before it expires. So, I would recommend this dealership but get what you want..not what they tell you that you want.
