EASY!

By jhohenfield on 8/8/2018 at 9:19 PM. Helped by Ryan, Lauren.

I had a terrific experience at Honda Carland yesterday. BY FAR the best experience that I have had. Even though I was trying to decide between two models, my salesman (RYAN WALCOTT) was so patient and accommodating. He told me that all he wanted was for me to have the right vehicle. Even after multiple test drives, he showed no signs of frustration, just genuine concern for me making the right decision. He said that for him, the look on my face when he pulled my new Odyssey around from being cleaned was worth every moment. The actual purchase experience was also very easy! Lauren (my Finance Manager) was efficient and helped me navigate my financing options as well as some really great options to protect my new van! Overall, I could not be more happy with my experience at Honda Carland! Thank you!

I would recommend this dealer.

Buy from internet from Honda Carland works great

By Haibiao Zheng on 7/29/2018 at 5:41 AM. Helped by JR Muniz, Anthony Renda.

I live in Alabama. It is my first time to buy a car from Atlanta. It was a great experience. I worried a lot before I drive 4 hours to Honda Carland to buy the car because I read the review on 11/28/2015 that the dealer did "bait and switch" on one customer (dealer responded with reason, the response seems credible based on my experience this weekend). To buy the car online from Honda Carland is easy, and the sales associate is honest. The dealer honors the price that was negotiated via email (2-3 emails back and forth, then the price is set). All I need to do is drive to Atlanta and sign the document, then pick up the car. No other hidden tricks. The sales person doesn't try to sell you anything extra. Whatever discussed via email and over the phone is what you will get face to face, and the deal is good. It definitely worth the 4 hours drive from Alabama to buy from Honda Carland. Sales Associate that I work with is JR Muniz. His manager is Anthony Renda. One thing I noticed is that the sales associate (including JR Muniz) at Honda Carland is very very busy. So you may have to wait for a while before you get the answer. Because they may deal with multiple customers at the same time. So be patient.

I would recommend this dealer.

Unprofessional

By Kara21 on 5/14/2018 at 11:13 AM. Helped by Amir, Jon.

I had scheduled an appointment with a specific salesperson I had been communicating with. When we arrived at our scheduled time, we were told he had to run out. Others did offer to help, and we ended up working with a different salesperson Amir. Amir was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. However, the sales manager Jon, was the exact opposite. We were there to turn in a lease and purchase a new car. We had one more lease payment to make and asked if Honda would work with us on that as we didn't want to pay for a car we weren't going to be using anymore. Jon came in and proceeded to rant how he was already taking a $2,000 hit because we were using "TRUE" pricing. He said he hated that program (which quotes customers a true and fair price ahead of time, guaranteeing that price) and only used it because "he had to." Therefore, he wasn't going to eat our lease payment also. In the end, he said he would work with us and help out. What he did was give us to Honda keychains and revised our monthly payment quote down by $1. What did that feel like? A BIG F.U.to us, the customer.

Very poor dealership

By DSL on 5/7/2018 at 1:28 AM. Helped by n/a.

Very poor dealership overall , and dishonest. Lied to me numerous times. Bought a CRV there a month ago with extended warranty. At the time of purchase I asked four times if the warranty was a Honda Warranty. Each time I was assured it was. Finance quoted me a price of 1512.00 so I purchased it. When I got home I looked at the invoice and noticed the warranty was not from Honda. Contacted the dealer and they cancelled the policy. When I received the refund it was not $1500 dollars that I paid for, it was $1000 The Dealer had marked up the cost of the warranty 33%. so when I received the check they had refunded their cost for the warranty and the dealer kept the markup don't ever purchase a vehicle from them Delete review

Buyer Beware !

By Ron on 3/30/2018 at 6:16 PM. Helped by Jamal, Lauren.

We buy and sell one of our cars about every 3 years. So, 3 years ago we stopped by this dealership to look at a high end Honda Accord and told the sales man what we were looking for. He failed to bring us the model and had excuses why.. we left. On Sunday, 03/25/2018 we stopped by to test drive and look at a Honda Pilot EXL, we needed something bigger than the Volvo S60. Jamal our sales person took us for a test drive after he had to drive it off the lot and a couple miles away where we exchanged drivers.. Never heard that one before, but next..we came back they appraised our Volvo and after a couple rounds of going back in forth with the sales Mgr and showing him the deal my daughter just had in Brandon, Florida , we finally came to a deal for all. It is now almost 3 hours into our day. Finally and after multiple excuses the finance person, Lauren, who was supposedly new to Honda, but had told us she was from the Chevy World in the "Finance Department" called us in and had a male finance person helping her originally. He left, she went over all paperwork and told us at least 3 times , to be sure to read all... as there is no buyers remorse in Georgia and once a contract is signed that's it...Its a done deal ! So we signed all and left the dealership.. we were suppose to have a full tank of gas, NOPE, had to come back and have them fill it up. We were supposed to have all things in the vehicle explained to us, NOPE and after signing 3 papers at sales desk prior, nothing was ever explained about vehicles operations , features, etc. Okay we can read a book and I can ask our daughter .. so next. On Wednesday, I get a call that Lauren the finance person made a mistake and put .09 % in the contract paperwork and it should have been 0.9 %. Yes we saw it and that was her problem not ours .. did she read what she wrote? After consulting with our counsel, we told them we would not be returning to sign a new contract. I could not locate any GM, CEO or any staff on the Carland Web Page. So I found a CEO on "LinkedIn" and emailed him. I was contacted by a GM who identified himself to me as Ken Kaplan. I told Mr Kaplan I will not be signing a new contract. I explained they have a clear and explicit wording in their contract and I quote, "No cooling off period. State Law does not provide for a cooling off period or any cancellation period for this sale. After you sign this contract you may only cancel it if the seller agrees or for legal cause. YOU cannot cancel this contract simply because you change your mind". Mr Kaplan told me via phone if I would not sign a NEW CONTRACT, he would NOT TITLE the Honda Pilot. I never agreed to terminate our sales contract. So with that, and not wasting our time in civil court.. in that case , I told Mr. Kaplan to return my Volvo, all monies paid, etc etc. to my home. It is now Friday, my Volvo and all have been returned . However isn't it amazing that they have you sign a contract... but will not enforce it upon themselves in this case .. all over a $ 12.00 a month difference that should have been taken out of the finance persons commission , or better yet, to keep a customer, the dealer should have eaten it or offered something to keep a customer happy. Never Again.. and YES BUYER BEWARE!

By NYung on 2/23/2018 at 6:40 PM. Helped by JR.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with JR and Honda Carland. They worked with us to find our new van. The sales process was fair and we were pleased with the entire transaction. Be sure to ask for JR! He is knowledgeable, polite and fair. When I am ready for a new Honda, he will be my first call.

Worst Dealing with the customers

By welcome123 on 1/14/2018 at 6:36 AM. Helped by Evan, Amneer, Sales Manager.

I had a very worst experience with Carland Honda today. Inspite of we agreeing to the price and also the color which was given by the sales representative, the fun they made is unacceptable . The behavior of the sales representative and the sales manager is not allowable. They made jokes on the customers is inappropriate.

Hellishly Experience at Service Dept

By Ripped Off by Carland Honda Alpharetta on 9/30/2017 at 10:17 PM. Helped by Mr. Samms, Alex the manager and the service shop manager.

As a four year customer, I took my car to the Carland Service Dept to have oil and transmission fluid liquid changed. The customer service person assigned to my service, Mr. Samms, came after I had waited for about 20 minutes and to tell me that I needed a new tire, cabin filter replaced and the brake pads replaced. I then told him that I normally purchase the tires at Costco and that I would bring the car back to replace the filter and pads very soon. They then proceeded to change the oil and the transmission fluid. The story is that before I got to the dealer's place, my breaks were working perfectly fine, however as soon as I got out of there, I noticed something strange with the breaks, as if the pads were gone and you could just feel the metal. I am not familiar with this type of problem, therefore it took me two days to digest that the breaks were definitely showing a problem they didn't have before I took the car for service. Therefore, I went back to the Carland's service shop two days later and explained that my car was now showing a break problem it didn't have before. I inquired about possible cameras in the service area. They responded that they didn't have cameras. The first person that talked too me, and African-american gentleman, not very tall, was very upset and said that I was falsely accusing them of damaging the breaks when I had just explained to them how my car was before and after I took it there for service.. I then asked to talk to someone else, hoping to find a customer oriented person.. Then another gentleman, by the name Alex, who is supposedly the Service Department Manager. After I explained my situation, he had the car moved to the shop. They removed the tires and the shop supervisor came to talk to me. After I explained the facts and my concerns, about my breaks being fine before I got there and defective as I left their shop, he said that this could not be possible because he trusted his people in his shop.. That nobody would do anything like that to my car at all. Of course that this is a nice statement but it sounds like those criminals' mothers who would always say that their children would never commit a crime at all. No criminal's mother ever thinks her children would ever do anything wrong. He then showed how bad the pads were and that no one there could have sanded them to such condition. I then agreed to have them replaced. However, he added that I now needed to also replace the rotors which had been damaged by driving with worn pads for two days. Giving the details, and the fact that they won't even talk to me in a civilized manner, just like white bullies, bulllying a Hispanic woman, I am almost convinced that this was a total rip off, a scam pulled on me. They probably got upset when I said I would take care of the recommended service later, and damaged the current pads so that it would touch metal whenever I applied the breaks, and then would damage the rotors. They now wanted to make me not only agree to changing the pads but also the rotors. These gentlemen were not even polite nor could they handle a logical, civilized conversation. They just denie everything at front in an angry very unprofessional manner. Very poor customer service skills, especially considering that now they have lost me as a customer of the service dept and that I would not buy a car from them now. My car is 4 years old and I am considering replacing it. But of course, will not buy from Carland Honda.

Thank You so Much...

By HAPPY MOM & DAUGHTER on 9/20/2017 at 3:39 PM. Helped by Andre.

My mom and and I went to look at the new Honda HR-V and had no intentions or plans on buying. She had a 2013, Honda Civic Coupe that she purchased from HondaCarland, 3 years ago and wanted to trade it in for a smaller SUV. The sales associate she purchased her car from was no longer there which disappointed my mom. Andre made it clear he would take care of us and he truly did. We were not planning on buying and were just looking but after the attention we were given it was a no-brainer to purchase the same day. HondaCarland was great and now I will be trading my 2011 CR-V for a new one and can't wait to deal with Andre. Great customer service and I will be back this month for my new CR-V. THANK YOU SO MUCH HONDACARLAND.

Quick and Easy!!

By braves9517 on 9/20/2017 at 1:28 PM. Helped by Tarik Jeff Jessica.

So I used the TrueCar car buying service thru USAA (who I love so much!) and I received a bunch of calls but Tarik in the internet dept was the first to reach out to me. I came in on a Sunday which he said would be best and we picked out the 2018 Odyssey that we wanted. Because I used USAA, the price was already ironed out and most of my paperwork was pretty easy. I had my USAA pre-printed check from their website so I was in the business office fro only 10-15 mins tying up loose ends. Jessica and Jeff in the finance office was great too!! I know everyone experience is different, but my time at Carland was exactly what Tarik said it was going to be. When you go, ask for Tarik!!

Calling them skeezy would be the nice word to use

By YourTallyCarGirl on 8/28/2017 at 9:22 PM. Helped by Andre.

Inquired about a new CRV. I'm a current CRV owner, but really like the new redesign. Unbeknown to my salesman, Andre, I recently finished out a five year stint in the car business before deciding to go back to school. So I know all the games and tricks. Problem one started when the first thing out of Andre's mouth was, "I'm the highest grossing salesman at this dealership." Yeah, not a good way to start off. After choosing the one I was interested in, he does a vehicle appraisal. Considering my past in the industry, I already knew what my current vehicle was worth. He came back, hit me at A little under MSRP and tries to hold 5k on my trade, meaning that their valuation of what my trade is worth is less than what the actual trade in value is for it. Long story short. Sneaky games and lack of genuine concern for customer service is what had me thank him for his time and leave the dealership. Asking him to. It contact me anymore. Being a young female on my own, and the obvious game he tried to play on me speaks measures about how this dealership operates. No conscience at all, only trying to make a buck. No concern for customer loyalty. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible!!

By ZLang on 8/25/2017 at 7:53 PM. Helped by Eric, sales manager.

Came here looking for a car, as we started it up for test drive, the check engine light came on. After test drive, we liked the car but needed to discuss the engine light and also asked for a couple hundred off to get it to market value. Manager said they'll knock off the price but not fix check engine light or fix the light any no discount. I said that we need the check engine light to be off for a passed e-check which they claimed that I was wrong, but after researching, you indeed, do fail an e-check immediately with the check engine. Horrible service from the manager, walked out on our dream car strictly based on his actions and demeanor.

No respect for customers and keep spamming/calling me

By Whitson on 7/4/2017 at 4:45 PM. Helped by Several.

This dealership is representative of all that is wrong with the car business. I made the mistake of giving them my contact information several years ago when I was car shopping. They've spent the years since spamming me to no end and calling my cell phone often enough that I had to block their number. They've ignored all requests to stop, and are in violation of the FCC spam regulations. I've reported them and will be seeing to it they are prosecuted for ignoring my dozens of requests to be removed from their contact lists. Take your business elsewhere if you value respect and privacy.

I like to notify never take your car to this dealership , unless you want to get your car mess up more, Mechanic at this dealership don't know anything about cars, we gave them our car Honda Odyssey 2010 for cylinder miss firing which Honda had a recall on, when i got there they said they can fix that plus i need new front tires & need to get staring wheel fixed costed me all most $1000 , when i got my car back air condition stopped working & staring wheel still not fixed. when i went back to them supervisor first said , when they picked up engine might had hit condenser, now he said it was leaking before i gave it to them & they want $800 to put new condenser, which is there fault. first thing it was not leaking, i never had cold air problem. i paid them to fix staring wheel now they said it needs new pump. I tried & left message to General Manager he never call or came out of his office to resolve this matter.

Honda Carland pathetic service

By Basanta on 6/7/2017 at 12:30 AM. Helped by Conery Sams.

Beware of this Honda Carland Dealer Service. I went to this dealership on dated (05/20/2017) for regular service of my 2013 Honda accord LX. When I took the car after service I felt sluggish start and that time I overlooked as I was in hurry and return to home. On the same day when I again start my car in evening it didn't start , also I tried jump start nothing worked. On Monday (05/23/2017) when I towed my vehicle over there they said my starter gone only my car runs 39320. I have never faced starting issue before and how come starter issue arise on a sudden after service even if they have checked my car before service , everything was fine. As I know starter is mechanical with electrical circuit connection and if starter gives problem it should report earlier starting problem which has never happened before, only I faced jump start in 2016 November and I changed the Battery from same dealer. I showed to other local shop and they said it might happen suddenly due to some short circuit which dealer didn't agree. They are charging 825+ taxes. This is common trend many dealers are doing when they saw your vehicle is out of warranty and they did something which I heard from others. I have decided not to go there again as I don't believe them at all , also they don't have sympathy as they did some wrong as I don't have proof I could not do much but would like to let others known about this issue so that everyone should cautious.

I would not recommend this dealer.

How to Lose a Customer for Life, by the Honda Carland GM

By Mark K. on 2/22/2017 at 10:20 PM. Helped by Honda Carland GM Kenny Kaplan, Service Manager Tony Caraballo.

I took my 2015 CR-V that I purchased from Honda Cartland in for a routine service this morning, and left signing a happy tune. Everyone was friendly, and helpful, and I was on my way in less than three hours. I drove from Roswell to Vinings, and stopped to pick-up a quick lunch. When I tried to re-start the car, nothing. A friendly guy offered to jump-start my car, and again nothing. In dismay, I called the dealership and described my problem. I told them I had an extended warranty, and they told me to call 1-866-864-5211 (this is the customer service number for Honda – I did not know that when I called). After 30 frustrating minutes with Honda, I discovered that my warrantee was through a 3rd-party, so I called 1-866-434-4357 (Warranty Solutions Roadside Assistance). The friendly tow-truck driver arrived within the hour, and to my amazement, he was able to jump-start my car. I drove directly to Honda Carland, and told them what had happened, and that I was very frustrated with: 1) the fact that I was directed to call Honda when I have a an extended warranty through a 3rd party; 2) the fact that I had brought a perfectly functioning vehicle in for service in the morning and it wouldn’t start in the afternoon; and 3) the fact that my day was wasted. I was told a few minutes after dropping the car off that there was nothing wrong with my vehicle, and that I was free to go. I asked that they keep it as long as necessary, and about an hour later they came back and said that my battery had a bad cell, and that it needed to be replaced! This, after being told that my battery was perfect! The Service Advisor did not offer any discount on the battery, so I asked to speak with the Service Manager. He did offer to install the battery for free, and knock $10 off the cost of the battery, to around $105 (Note: I can get a comparable Interstate Battery at CostCo for $73!) I told him he was insulting me, and asked to speak with the GM. The GM told me the same thing, so I told him that he had lost a ten-plus year customer for life, because he would not see my point-of-view. All I wanted was for them to admit that I had been terribly inconvenienced by this, and for my trouble, they could have eaten half of the retail cost of the battery, and charge me, say $60-$70 (less than CostCo’s $73). Unfortunately, the GM and the Parts Manager were jerks about it…their loss.

I would not recommend this dealer.

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS DEALERSHIP!

By MH25 on 12/22/2016 at 4:40 PM. Helped by SMITH, JACKSON.

The sales manager and sales person (last name Smith and Jackson respectively) are very dishonest. Walked into the dealership to possibly trade in my vehicle. Sales manager Smith said that he would give us $14,000 toward a new or used car or cash in hand (I didn't even negotiate or throw that number out there. They did an appraisal and that was the value they gave my car). The offer would be good for seven days. I thought that was odd that a dealership would pay so much for my car even though there was a possibility I may not purchase a car from the dealership so I asked him multiple times to repeat the offer which he did. I asked him to write the offer on paper which he did. I decided that I would sell my car to the dealership and think about the car that I was going to purchase for a few days (given that I was going to pay cash for the remaining balance of the car and not finance I needed a few days to think about throwing down thousands of dollars...seemed like a legitimate reason right?). They didn't like that. So they tried their sales tactics. First, they said that I would be skipping out on potential tax savings (I understand that but not worth making a quick decision on). Second, they lowered the price (to internet price...not sure why internet and walk in pricing is different. I would think that walk in pricing would be more valuable). Lastly, they asked me to take a drive in the car (they asked that drive the car before we start the paper work to purchase my car). So I went for a 2 mile cruz as if I was going to fall into a deep hypnosis and decide to buy a car that day. Keep in mind that I had already told them that I driven this car multiple times and like the car but I still needed a few days to think about it. Sales manager Smith left the building and sent sales person Jackson to tell me that $14,000 cash offer was no longer available and that $14,000 was if I was going to trade it in. Now, I believe I am a reasonable person, if they would have been upfront with me and let me know that they couldn't offer me $14,000 for cash but could offer me $10,000 or $9,000 I would understand but to continue to tell me that they would offer the same amount for a trade in or cash and then to go back on that after putting it in writing is dishonest. This on top of sale manager Smith leaving when the news was given so that he didn't have to deal with it...my question would be who and how is he the manager when he can't take responsibility and own up to an offer that he made me. Solution: I am not one to complain without offering a solution. After looking at other comments that people have written I can tell that there needs to be some major changes to your organization in the way employees think and act (Your brand is your reputation). Honesty needs to be the best policy. Sales need to own up to the offers that they agreed upon. There are a few good books that I could recommend everyone read in the organization but I will offer one, "Extreme Ownership" by Leif Babin and Jocko Willink. Implement the principles throughout the organization from the top down to the bottom. Your organization and the mindset will change into a more efficient and honest work environment bringing honesty back to the reputation to your organization. Fire the sales people that are not honest in their deals. Reason numero uno, if they are not honest with us as consumers, do you think they are honest with you as their employers? I could go on but my consulting isn't free and I have already wasted a good portion of my time if these things are not implemented. Thank you
