Leaking 2015 Honda fit

I purchased a brand new Honda Fit 2015 in Feburary 2015. January 2016 after a few rains my driver side passenger carpet was soaked. I went to Honda of Oakland and with lots of headaches on my end I got the door resealed and carpet replaced due to manufacture defect. Then after some rains January 2017 I have again rain in the same spot have soaked carpet, however this time I see the source as a stream of water coming from the front driver side door. They proceed to indicate the reason for the water was due to the sunshades however lots of honda fits leak due to door panel issues. They had resealed the door without replicating the leak I saw so now they cannot conclude that the leak is from a manufacture defect. I did not approve of these repairs without proof that the leak was causing the issue. They are refusing to replace the carpet which now has mildew and mold.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Terrible experience . terrible costumer service . never comeback again worse dealership in oakland . i was trying to replace my battery is ( UNDER WARRANTY ) NOW THEY SAYING WARRANTY EXPIRED ?????

Just leased a new car

I looked at several Honda dealerships and ended up doing business with Honda of Oakland because I was treated well and I got the best price on leasing my car. I was shown what I asked to see instead of being pushed into a more expensive car. I expected attempts to sell me more than I was asking for, but I felt respected when I said I knew what I wanted. I walked away with exactly what I was looking for and enjoyed the process. I appreciated having real conversations with the nice, friendly people who helped me. The dealership itself is the most attractive and welcoming one I visited.

Just bought a new car

I found the salesman, Glenn, very attentive to all my e-mails, responding immediately. He gave me a good price and very helpful in having the purchase, when I went in the showroom, go quickly and smoothly. I will buy future cars via the Internet and recommend contacting Glenn at Oakland Honda if you are interested in a Honda.

Takes advantage of out of state women on vacation!

Honda of Oakland is the most Fraudulent Service center I have ever encountered. They take advantage of out of state travelers, especially women!!! We are from Texas and have a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The check engine light came on and started making moaning sounds while we were on a recent road-trip. Took the car into Honda of Oakland for answers. After 2.5 hours of waiting, the Service rep (Mike) came out to tell me that the transmission was fried. He told me that "the transmission fluid was burned and he could smell the burning transmission fluid as I drove into the shop." On top of that the power steering pump had a leak as well as a leak in the power steering line. When I asked if they could replace the transmission fluid just so we could limp home, he stated "I wouldn't put my family back in that car!" He said they wouldn't drain the fluid as that could potentially cause additional problems. Our only option was to replace the transmission. (or, unstated, buy a new car) Faced with the decision to plug $6,000 into a 2007 car or buy a new car, we decided to think about it for a bit. Back at the hotel, I jumped onto Yelp to find an auto repair shop that might squeeze us in to give us a second opinion and found Johnee's Auto Repair with excellent Yelp reviews, including one from another cheated Honda of Oakland customer. Johnee couldn't get the check engine codes to download so he researched the codes provided by the Honda Service center in their database. The first thing it stated was to drain the transmission fluid and look for metal shavings. ((But wait...Honda said that they wouldn't do that, but their own Check Engine Database says that is the first thing to do. Hmmm)) If there were metal shavings, then the transmission would have to be replaced, if not, simply replace the transmission fluid. Guess what.... there weren't any shavings!!! Now, how would Honda of Oakland Service center know that my transmission was fried since they weren't willing to drain the transmission fluid. Mike was very friendly and I thought that he was genuinely concerned. I don't know if he was duped by the Service Department as well, or if he was making it up as we talked. The printed report he handed me didn't have descriptions of the check engine codes, and he kept referring to a hand written report that I couldn't read. The entire problem was solved with only $200 paid to Johnee on top of the $150 paid to Honda of Oakland, as opposed to the $6000 that Honda of Oakland quoted, and the car drives great and we made it back to Texas without any problems.

Got our new car “Honda Accord Coupe” from Honda of Oakland. Glenn Schedfer was the sales consultant who helped with entire process. Glenn offered the best price of the 5 quotes received, so we drove to Oakland to see the car. He showed all the features of the car and answered all our questions with patience. Overall a very good experience!

They will lie to you and take your money...

This dealership sold me a car for more than $18K. They falsified the car fax report, lied about repairs and didn't do the fixes they promised when I bought the car. After signing the contract, within days, the car started to fall apart. Tires deflating, stereo not working, plastic falling off, headlights malfunction. Basically, the car is undriveable. Also, I got three calls post contract of people calling me and asking for more money, They said that they messed up the paperwork, just seems like another scam from these people. I spoke with many, many people and got many, many promises. None fulfilled, I'm stuck with a $18K lemon and have only my warning to pass along.

I hate buying cars. Its so frustrating. Well Sheldon made that process so much more pleasant. He doesnt really have that carsalesman demeanor. He such a nice person very talkative but very innocent seeming. He got me a nice car with low miles he even picked me up from my home. Unfortunately my car was totaled aftef six months. Looks like ill be calling Sheldon again!

this is my first leasing car. i have checked many dealers for finding best price and sheldon gave me best quote ever. He is such a friendly person, helpful, and dedicated. last visit, I went to put an alarm and sheldon helped me out again. i will keep my business with honda oakland as long as he works for honda oakland. Being ignored after purchase sucks the life out of joy!

After our purchase from Honda of Oakland we were fooled into getting the extended warranty. Upon realizing that our insurance company would provide the same service for a cheaper price, we contacted Honda and were told that they would decrease the extend of our warranty and match the price of the insurance company. However, 5 months have passed and we can't get the warranty decreased! All our communication has been ignored! My husband was treated with disrespect upon our face to face contact. All our e-mail inquiries have been ignored! I have never been so humiliated! Honda Oakland sales team is nice at first, but the finance people kill all that!

Worked with Sheldon and Carl Curry in the purchase of our 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. They both went beyond the call of duty! I wanted the Humanite color and although it was challenging they obtained the car in no time. Sheldon, exemplifies what customer service should be like. He was professional, patient, and very detailed when it came to explaining to my husband and I all the gadgets the Accord had to offer. Our overall experience was top notch from beginning to end! This was our 2nd purchase from this dealership after 5 years. We were able to have the same excellent salesman. We returned because we were very happy with our prior experience. The CRV we purchased before has been great; it is now retiring to Hawaii. We were a bit overwhelmed with all the technical information on the GPS, but we will recall what we were told with usage and the manuals. We felt the trip of 3 hours each way was worth it again, even though we have 2 dealerships in our home town. We do recommend Honda of Oakland. The staff is professional and likable.

Robin Takata took the time out to drive me all the way to West Oakland to get my money, and she even help me get money for the car that I traded in. I had a blast and fun time being around her and showing me the amenities of the car to me. That was absolutely a pleasant experience for me. The staffs were very friendly and responsive. They were doing their best to give you the best deal posssible and great purchase experience.
