Awful. Worst car-buying experience of my life

First of all, it took over three hours for a cash sale, no financing. And we only got out then because I stood up and told them I was leaving and they could keep the car. They said they'd send someone with the paperwork the next day to me to be signed. The guy showed up over 30 minutes late and all the documentation was wrong. They said oops, sorry, we'll send someone again tomorrow. Almost a week later we finally get the proper documentation. We refused to sign some of the pages because there were things on the vehicle they needed to fix. We took the car in a couple of days later and they've had it ever since. It's been well over a week, they still have the car, and no one can even be bothered to give me a call back after I've called several times daily. Stay far away from this dealership. By far the worst car buying, or anything-buying, experience I've ever had

Deceptive trade practices

Bought a 2005 Avalanche, told all was good, I trusted them but only had my truck two weeks and right after I got it home had to spend 700 in repairs, both selenoids, new starter and transmission flush because the fluid was so bad could have damaged my transmission, dipstick broken at tip and windshield wiper fluids squirts all underneath the hood, I had purchased a brand new KIA from them earlier, had no idea they would do such a deceptive deal. Never buy anything used from them, buyer beware!

Great customer service

I found myself in Macon, Georgia for work in the midst of Hurricane Michael. One morning I left my hotel, intent on getting to the jobsite to continue providing critical backup power for the area hospitals. As I approached my field service truck I noticed with a sunken heart that my window was broken and upon further inspection realized that all of my tools had been stolen and my truck door had also been bent whenever the thief pried it open. I was very distressed of course and after filing the police report and notifying my employer I sought out a dealership to repair my vehicle. My truck is a Chevrolet product. I could not find a Chevy dealer close to me to drive with broken windows so when I approached the staff at Hutchinson Auto Mall and explained my situation, I was pleasantly surprised to hear they were happy to fix my vehicle. The staff at Hutchinson went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Not only did they source a window for my vehicle and get it installed the next business day but they treated me extremely well. I am from out of state and now just realizing My whole livelihood had just been stolen. The staff at Hutchinson assured me that they would keep my truck locked inside the dealership overnight while they waited for the window to be delivered and they secured a loaner vehicle for me for the time period they had my truck. I was very impressed by all of the staff at Hutchinson Auto Mall and I would encourage any person to go there for their vehicle needs. I will also be getting my new vehicle there too. Thank you.

I would like to thank Mr. Jon Carter for his on-point and prompt customer service. On 7/22/2017, I pulled into the dealership around 5:30 pm and within 30 seconds Mr. Carter walked up to me and greeted me. I am an employee of Norfolk Southern Corporation and we sell customer service. Today I was sold customer service by Mr. Carter. Because of Mr. Carter's prompt actions and inviting smile, I left The Hutchinson Auto Mall in Macon, Ga with a nice vehicle. I would definitely recommend Mr. Jon Carter to everyone that I know who wants to buy a car. This the first time in over 50 years I have truly had an excellent car purchasing experience! From Jon the sales person to the Mr Jackson the Operation Director to Greg the Finance person. These are truly professionals with an understanding of customer service. I even had the opportunity to meet with the General Manager after my purchase! A great group of people who others in the industry can learn from. All sales persons can learned from Jon on how to sale a car without the sales pressure! As well as from Mr. Jackson the Director of Operations on how treat a customer with importance and respect and not just another sale ! Thank you hutchinson Automotive Team! Run the opposite way-FAST!

I have experienced the most unprofessional, unpleasant experience with Hutchinson Auto Mall. It made it even more upsetting that this was my first personal buying experience and they made the process less than enjoyable. Taylor Rowell, was my salesman and although he did sell me a car, he is totally scattered. I purchased my car in June 2017 and here it is September 2017 and I still have not received a piece of paper I signed for the purcahse. He stopped responding to my calls and messages after screwing up everything Other employees beside the owner, which appears to be a nice guy, are also rude and unprofessional. They hang up in your face and are not helpful. Be advised these people do not care about the customer, only making a sale. I would never recommend them to anyone. Go somewhere where you are acknowledged and treated with respect after signing a contract with those whom are undeserving of any commission.

Had an engine DTC appear in my dash. Brought it to Hutchenson service, explained my issue. Since the car was ok to drive they gave me an option to set up an appointment so I could wait for the results or leave it and they would take me where ever I needed to go. I left it and later that day my service advisor Chris Solt called me and said everything would be covered by warranty. They were up front with their time table and kept me abreast of the progress. I do understand good service diagnostics and repair takes time and they were dead on. It took a week as predicted and I left with a clean car that ran like new. I appreciate the feedback during the service and not feeding me unrealistic schedules to satisfy me. Great experience. Thank you Chris.

They will take advantage of you any possible way they can. They have cheated my father and uncle with purchases and services of vehicles. Do yourself and loved ones a favor. Do not do business with these people. From Forest Hutchinson, Jimmy Meadows, and others in their staff "do not care".

Such a Blessing!

No pressure. That was paramount to me making a decision. Brandon Cooper was my sales adviser and was so sweet. A gentle giant. I say that because he's 6'7". No stress was placed on me whatsoever. Brandon showed me several cars and did not hesitate to pull each one around so I could test drive it. He had the patience of Job. I had to leave for church and was really surprised that no one pressured me to sign on the dotted line before walking out the door. I loved that. I told Brandon I would come back the next day. I'm not sure anyone there really believed I would come back because so many people probably say that to salesmen. But back I came because everyone was so professional yet laid back and friendly. Genuinely friendly. Jimmy Collins is the GM. He was assisting me too, but I never knew he was the GM until I asked for his name and title before leaving. He didn't have this BMOC attitude. He was very down to earth. And he had a delightful sense of humor. I wanted to get the names of everyone who had helped make this such a wonderful buying experience. Mr. Collins was so refreshingly positive about every aspect of the deal. He was just cool to be around. I finally decided on a 2014 Buick Encore. And traded in my 2004 BMW X3. I was given top dollar for my trade in. More than twice what Butler Toyota wanted to give me for my car. And the Finance Manager(I never got his name) as very good at staying within my budget. I told him what I could pay and he listened and respected what I said. That surprised me after coming from the stress and pushiness of Butler Toyota. Here again, I experienced no pressure whatsoever. Amazing! I had to leave before things were quite finalized again, so they gave me a loaner since I traded the X3. My Buick still needed to be detailed. It had just been traded in also and I wanted to take my new Buick home for the first time totally detailed - shiny and fresh. I came back yesterday to return the loaner and pick up my new valiant steed and was taking my belongings out of the X3 to put into my new car. I noticed bags of stuff I had in the back of the X3 had been rummaged through. Then I saw my empty battery charger box and knew it was missing. I started to get really upset and told Brandon. He immediately let the owner know. I was not a happy camper and another sales adviser, Barry Bacon, came to see if he could help me move my things. He even offered to move the Buick to make the exchange easier. I'm sure Barry could sense I was flustered and he really helped to calm my nerves. It wasn't even his sale, yet he was insistent about helping me get everything squared away. Just precious. A total team approach. I found this so refreshing when sales people are usually just out for their own gain. Mr. Collins, the GM walked over to let me know some cars had been broken into the night before and mine was obviously one of them. Then the owner himself, Michael Hutchinson, came out to apologize and ask what was missing. He told me with a smile and gentle assurance the items would be replaced and I knew he meant what he said. I could tell from his actions more than his words he was a man of character. I had to wait a bit for my tag to be prepared and a short while later, Danny Pruett, the Internet Manager, walked up with a brand new battery charger better than the one stolen. He had gone out and purchased a replacement for me. WOW! I continued to be blown away by the service excellence these men embodied. I had to go back for a third time today to turn in some financial information and everyone continued to be so friendly. The deal was done, I had already signed on the dotted line the day before. So no one was profiting from being kind to me or spending extra time with me to ensure I had everything I needed. Yet they all remained uber professional with a sweet spirit. I wish I could get all my friends to go and experience what I did at Hutchinson. I would recommend the dealership to anyone looking for a new or used car. And I can't say enough about what a wonderful man Brandon Cooper is. He never showed impatience with all of my changes and inconsistencies. When I went back today, I had a list of questions about the radio, checking the oil, etc. He was so generous with his time and attention to my needs. the whole experience was Such a Blessing!

Made deal, dealer retracted deal

Visited dealership on Saturday. Salesman was great, knew the car and pleasure to work with, however the "sales manager" Zack did the deal, we agreed, shook hands and he walked away. After 15 or more minutes came back and advised me he could not sale at that price. I did talk to Mr. Hutchinson on Monday and he politely said they would've lost money if the "deal" had worked. While I do not like to give reviews (rarely do, good or bad) I felt like the dealership could've "adjusted" other things to make the difference up to me. I do not have a negative or positive review to leave. Just a "double check your numbers" before thinking you have purchased a car, here or anywhere. Overall, the sales staff and gentleman working were nice guys, BUT in my opinion the person with Sales Manager position should have better training in negotiating to keep potential buyer in house rather than running said customer away. I certainly would've bought the car if some concessions could've been made to make me feel like they wanted my business. Overall - again, nice people, just not happy with the outcome of my experience.with this dealership. Also, a rebuttal from dealership will be moot at this point. No need to comment on my review.
