Dealership not helpful after I bought car

Sales staff was helpful, but once I had the car, Bruce (not the salesperson) was very difficult regarding a problem with the tires. I bought a Certified Pre-Owned Elantra, and according to Hyundai's own criteria for a CPO car, tires are supposed to have at least 5 mm depth of tread across the tire. A few days after I bought the car, I carefully measured and re-measured between 6 mm (on the inside edge of 3 of 4 tires) to 4 mm (on the outside edge of 3 of 4 tires). When I called, I was directed to Bruce, who didn't respond to several voice messages I left; and when I finally caught him at his desk, said he would gather information from his service staff who had certified the car, but didn't collect that information; and refused to say that they would have a set of tires available to put on my car if I drove the 1+ hours back to the dealership and the tread depth matched the same numbers as I got. The last part is important b/c my wife and I work full time, have a disabled family member at home and would find it very difficult to make two trips to the North Shore through summer traffic (one trip for measuring, the other for whatever tires the dealer would put on the car during a second visit). I should add that their "Document Fee" is quite high for dealers in the Boston area - be prepared to add $400 to the cost of any car you buy here. Many dealers use this "fee" to jack up what you pay for a car, but $400 is the high end of these fees. Google the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents report.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Avoid at all cost!

Called to verify availablilty of a used car advertised on their website. Had concerns about this given reviews on cargurus.com claiming they use bait &switch tactics. Sales receptionist Heather confirmed it was there. I explained that I was coming from a distance and wanted to be sure. She checked with sales mgr Allan and assured me it was there. Took my cell# so they could call if that changed. No call. Arrived 1.5 hrs later...faster than expected, was greeted by salesman Mike but was told - by Alan & Mike- car was not available. It apparently hadn't been there when I had called...GM explained it was "human error"; didn't explain why the error was missed twice and both he and Allan asked if they could show me something else. I strongly suspect that was the plan all along. Avoid this dealership; they seem highly unscrupulous.

Oil change took 2 hours

scheduled an oil change at 1:30 wasn’t done till 3:30. What’s going on Hyundai? 2 hours for an oil change is absurd.

I went Hyundai village with a price I wanted to pay for my new car. Clinton my sales rep worked very hard to get to my price range and in the end I got more for my dollar than I expected. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this dealiship they went above my expectations and no pressure to buy. Thanks guys BOB K

Best Buying Experience to Date

Just like everyone else, I am always nervous about the process of buying a car, even though I have worked in the industry. Clinton and Alan really went out of their way to help get me into a car that was right for me financially, even when I wasn't expecting to be able to. Will definitely be back.
