Holiday Cheer!

I always shop online for cars...called the dealership cause I was not sure of the hours cause of the holidays..Nate answered and we instantly clicked on the phone! He was more than happy to assist me with the 2011 Dodge Durango. I fell in LOVE with the car as soon as I seen it... We had a lil issue with the pricing but he instantly went over to his Sales Manager (Travis) and he lowered the price to meet me in the middle. So I’m ready to sign on the line and leave! I always do financing with my bank...It was Christmas Eve.... The bank was acting like they could not release the funds cause the don’t see this or that in the notes. Had to call my insurance company 3 times just to put insurance on the car, Travis seen my frustration so he said look... you finally have insurance on the car. I have insurance on the car... I’m going to give you a dealer tag come back Wednesday and we will finish the deal. Just go home and Enjoy Christmas with your family. Took the car... No money exchanged... no paper saying I promised to buy after I return..while on my Test drive for 3 days.. the check engine light came on... so I sent Nick my sales person a message via text.. letting him know as well as the turn signal bulb was out. He said no problem we will definitely take care of these issues when you return. This dealership is very trustworthy and honest. Of course I went to have the code read before I returned the car and was told it was the thermostat.... they had no knowledge of me already knowing it. Nate texted and told me it was indeed the thermostat and part had been ordered and the car will be repaired along with the bulb. Chris M would be my next encounter at this dealership since I decided to do in house financing cause of the headache my bank was giving me and I needed a longer term as well. He was great as well! Very informative and was able to get me the rate and term he promised. This was Hands Down the Greatest Experience I have had at any Car dealership!

On Nov 19, 2018, I telephoned this dealership and spoke with Chris Hurst who warmly invited my husband and me to come to the dealership to see the 2010 Ford Ranger Truck they had for sale that I was inquiring about. Chris H. had the truck already out front waiting for us, and quickly, after a test drive, we decided to purchase the truck. After the preliminaries with Chris H., we were directed to the Finance dept to meet with Chris Motrynczak, and he was WONDERFUL to work with. After being advised I wanted the truck titled first in my husband's name, Chris M. patiently redid 'ALL" of the paperwork he had started on just prior to us coming to his office. Chris M. also, in great detail, educated us on the extended warranty program this dealership offered. We made decisions about the VPS and Chris M. was very professional throughout the process. Chris M. Thank You so much for your dedication to the customer's best interests and for being such an ASSET to this dealership. My husband and I truly recommend that should you purchase a vehicle from this dealership, do work with Chris Motrynczak for the financing-paperwork. He is a PROFESSIONAL & He knows his job!

I just want to take a minute and rate my recent experience at Independence Mazda. As you can see I give them five stars and this is all due to the best car salesman, Nathanael Christian (Nate). Not only was he extremely genuine and a gentleman but also a true professional. His approach was relaxed and there was no pressure from him at all. Thanks to him I got my Chevy sonic and Nate made it possible for the deal to work on my favor and I couldn’t have asked for more than that. Also a big thank you goes to Chris the Finance manager who went above and beyond to help me get the best loan. Thank you Nate, you are the best car salesman and for that Independence Mazda will get a 5 star rate!!!!

Not trustworthy

I only give 2 stars because our salesperson, Tommy, was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for the sale price and financing rate and they wouldn't tell me - they just wanted to know how much I needed the payment to be. Eventually, here comes Vince, the sales manager, to seal the deal. I explained that I was told there was room for negotiation on the price before I drove 1 1/2 hours each way to see the car. His max discount was $400 and I still don't know what the finance rate was. He was rude and abrasive. I used to work with car dealers in my business and I have never seen them so happy as when they got someone to "lay down", meaning that they sold a car for the full sticker price. That was usually older folks and young people who didn't realize they were being taken advantage of. After all, the salesperson's paycheck is based on how much profit they can make on each sale. It's you against them and they are out to take more of your money any way they can. I think it's best to avoid this dealership.

I hadn't bought a car in 13 years and finally decided it was time. When I decided on the car and searched them on line I found it in Charlotte at Independence Mazda! I went and spent the afternoon with JT driving the car and learning all about it. JT took the time and never rushed me. He never mentioned money or deals! I wasn't there to discuss that! I went home and slept on it....called the next day and talked about price on the phone and came to a deal! When I went to do that paperwork JT insisted I drive my new car home... well my car (that I decided to keep) was still there and JT brought it to me the next morning! I couldn't ask for any better service! I love my new Mazda Miata MX5 RF! Thank you JT! You are awesome!

Pleasant experience!

Got my wife a new CX5, she loves it! Jay was a pleasure to work with in the whole process. He greeted us even when we dropped in after store hours. We were thinking just for a quick look, but he walked us through all the significant features and different trim levels, then let us test drive one of them. Jay is knowledgeable and has done his homework, he knows his products from inside out. Not only he is sincere, he is also a hard working guy! Went back a couple days later, traded in our old one and picker one with the right color\package. Jay's manager, Chris, helped close the deal. The price seemed fair, and we were treated with respect.

Quick and easy negotiation for new car

Brittney Fleury was great to work with. After we test drove the car, we were going to other dealerships to test drive other cars. She was good with follow-up without being pushy or "salesy". We then started negotiating without being at the dealership. It took a little time and she was able to get answers to my questions quickly. When we went in to sign the paperwork, it was quick and efficient. I strongly encourage anyone to work with Brittney.

Purchased a used car. Kaitlyn was attentive but not too much so. She was helpful and answered all of our questions. They were not high pressure. Very pleased with the car. I wish I could recall the name of her manager as he was good too. Only thing I would change would be to make the whole process faster after we had agreed to terms.

Just purchased a snazzy red CX5. My experience with Brittney Fleury was beyond exceptional. It's the first time that i have actually enjoyed buying a new car. After being there a while, (only financing left to do), I told her I really needed to leave for a prior engagement. She had me out of there is less than 30 minutes, in my new car, with an appointment set up for the next day to finalize everything. I trade my car every 3 years and I will definitely come back to Independence Mazda and hope, hope, hope that Brittney is there to help me. My daughter and son in law were with me and they have mentioned several times how nice it was to work with her. I will definitely recommend this dealership and Brittney.

Frank helped get me into the car of my dreams--a 2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature. It went few bucks more than my budget. Would have been nice if Frank reduced the price that what i expected. Kaitlyn is knowledgable. She helped with me with choosing the car color and explained me the car features patiently and did the paper work very fast. Haemonse is another sales man whom i met first during my first visit. He took me for the test drive. Nick was very helpful with finance matters. Overall, my experience is good and suggest Independence Mazda, Charlotte NC dealer to others.

Just purchased a 2016 MX-5 this past weekend. Brittney and Kaitlyn were fantastic at walking me through all the features of the car and their salesmanship was the reason I chose to buy from Independence Mazda. Everyone was very friendly and made an effort to make sure that I was happy the car. The buying experience was much better than what I have dealt with at other dealership. The staff was not pushy or deceitful. They worked with me to get to a price that I was comfortable with. There was one small mix up with financing the vehicle but Nick and Chris took care and did everything they could to reconcile the issue. I would definitely buy another car from them.

After visiting all of the Mazda dealerships in the Charlotte area, here is what I know to be true: Independence Mazda was the most friendly, organized and the most straightforward when coming to final price. Kaitlyn was extremely knowledgeable about the car and went over the car in full, covering safety, features and some of the story be hind the new 2017 design. (I'd already heard this several times, and she was the most comprehensive). She explained the additional services that the dealership included (didn't happen anywhere else), lifetime power-train warrantee, loaner cars, etc. Kaitlyn stayed with me through the whole purchase process and once the car was ready, she spent time with me again in the car going over the features to make sure I understood the features fully AND followed up with me several days later to make sure I was ok and if I had any questions. Kaitlyn has made this an OUTSTANDING car buying experience. After reading some of the the reviews, I will say that it's up to the buyer to read everything carefully your signing and ask questions. Know your facts about cost of the vehicle and options. For example, at the South Blvd. location, a SALESMANAGER presented me with a figure that was MORE than 1,5000 over the MSRP of the car. When I questioned what that figure was, he told me that it was the Market Value of the car - which it wasn't. When I confronted him on that fact, he just scratched the amount out and wrote the MSRP figure I quoted to him and kept talking asking me what it would take to earn my business.

Love Independence Mazda!

Independence Mazda was the perfect place to shop for my new car. Brittney Fleury had incredible knowledge of the vehicle I was interested in (Mazda 6) and was able to answer any question I had about it. She was not pushy at all, and very pleasant to deal with throughout the whole process. Chris Blackburn was also very helpful and took his time to explain the entire contract to me in detail so that I fully understood the financing of my vehicle. I was able to drive off the lot with my brand new 2017 Mazda 6 after a complimentary cleaning/detailing of the car. Thank you for a great experience!

My wife and I bought a Mazda 3 from Independence Mazda. They

My wife and I bought a Mazda 3 from Independence Mazda. They were very helpful in the sales experience we also bought Gap coverage and maintenance agreement because it was a used car. In January 2017 the car was involved in a total loss accident . After the insurance company paid off their cost of the car there was still a balance of 2700.00 . No problem right we bought the gap coverage . Wrong ! What a nightmare getting all the paperwork together for the gap coverage and the many phone calls to American Financial who we bought the gap coverage from through independence Mazda in the end we receive a whole 51 dollars from that coverage. But it didn’t end there. we were also entitled to a refund from the Maintenance agreement . Nightmare 2 we were told we needed to contact the Dealership {independence Mazda} to cancel the agreement and they would contact American Financial and american financial would tell them how much to refund. After several phone call to the dealership and speaking with the finance guy and the manager. I was told it was taken care of . Wrong a month or so later after speaking with the bank to see if they had received the refund check I was told it was not there yet. I called independence Mazda several times finally they gave me the number to American financial I call them and found out that the owner of the car had to sign the form to cancel the agreement which we were told on more than one occasion by independence Mazda that we did not have to sign . (don’t know their own system) got that done also found out that Independence Mazda is actually the ones refunding the money . Well it is May 23 2017 and the bank just called me still no refund check from Independence Mazda. I called independence Mazda again spoke to Nick he said he didn’t have anything to do with it after sending to accounting. Nick gave me the number to accounting . I told her the story she ask me if I had spoke to Nick and I told her I just did and he said that he had nothing to do with it after sending it to accounting HUM interesting. Accounting person promise to get check cut. Needless to say I won’t be buying from independence Mazda again
